How to Create a MultiBoot USB Flash Drive [XBoot]

XBoot is a free utility that can be used to create a Multiboot USB drive or Multiboot ISO file that can then be burnt to a CD/DVD. In this post, we will show you how to create a Multiboot USB drive with XBoot Tool.

Download and run the latest version of XBOOT – Download XBoot
Click File and Open ISO files (or drag and drop) from your PC to the XBOOT window.

Add ISO
After all ISOs are added. click the Create USB button

Create USB Button
Now select your USB flash Drive from the Dropdown menu

Select USB Drive
Now Select a Bootloader and then press OK to start the creation process.

Making USB Bootable
Once the process is complete, you should have a Bootable Multiboot USB Flash Drive with your ISO selections installed.

P.S. XBoot requires .NET Framework 4.0 installed in your system.

In this this post we will show you how to create a bootable USB drive for Windows 8.1, 8, and 7 using Microsoft official tool. In our previous post we also shared a similar method to install windows 8, 7, Xp from usb, but it required third party software’s. Here we are using official Microsoft’s free utility – Windows 7 USB/DVD Download Tool. This tool allows you to create a copy of your Windows ISO file on a USB flash drive. Don’t worry that this program has Windows 7 in the title. It also works perfectly well with Windows 8.1 / 8 ISO files.

How to Make Bootable Windows USB Drive

1. Download and install Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool

2. Plug in your USB flash drive into your computer

Note: Backup any files you have stored on the USB drive. The drive will be formatted during this process and all files on it will be deleted.

3. Run the tool, and browse to your Windows 8.1 / 8 / 7 ISO image file using the Browse button.

4. Click Next and Choose USB device on the next screen to make your USB device bootable.

5. Choose your USB flash drive from the drop down box and click Begin copying.

6. Now just wait for the process to complete.

7. When the process is finished you will get a screen that says Bootable USB device created successfully with a Status Backup completed.

8. Close the window.

9. You are done !. Reboot your computer and start installing Windows 8.1 / 8 / 7 from a USB flash drive.

Wintoflash software

How to Install Windows 8.1/8/7/xp from USB Drive [Wintoflash]

Here is the step by step tutorial on how to create a bootable windows usb drive for windows 8.1 , 8, 7, xp.

Download Wintoflash software
Extract the downloaded file and click Wintoflash.exe
Now select Advanced Mode Tab in the Wintoflash window, it will give you various options. Select the one that you want to perform.
Now it will ask you the windows source path and USB Drive. Select the address of the CD/DVD drive or mounted windows drive (For ISO image) and also give the path of the USB drive.
Click on Run. It will warn you that your usb will be formatted continue with it and it will convert your usb into bootable windows usb drive.

Once this completed you will be ready to boot from usb, restart your computer and change the boot order in your BIOS . You will see either USB Drive / Removable Storage / The Make of your Flash Drive, select it and start installing windows from usb drive.

How to Create a Blank File Name?

Ever wondered seeing a file with blank name in your bud's computer, but he didn't tell you the trick? Don't worry; we're here with a brand new trick to easily give a file an empty name. All you need to do is follow the simple steps bellow and get you work done in minutes.

First of all pick a simple file or create one (if you are a newbie, see the image bellow to create a text file).
Now it's time to rename the file. Just Right Click on File > Rename
Now comes the twist. Clear the full name (i.e. New Text Document or whatever your file's name is). Now press and hold the "alt" key and while holding, type 0, 1, 6 and 0 (without commas). And then release the "alt" key (and the 0, 1, 6, 0 too!). Then press Enter. You are done. Easy isn't it?

After you are successfully done, your file will look like-

Analysis & Tips: Wondering how did this happen? There's nothing strange in this. The fact is, the file contains only 'one space', that the computer recognizes as a character. And the keystroke of that character is "alt+0160". Like this, the keystroke for the "©" sign is "alt+0169". But if you try to enter a space by pressing the "space" button, it won't work! So now you know the reason behind this 'magic'. Go prank your friends. But before that remember some tips:

If the extension is viewable, then replace it with the same keystroke "alt+0160".
You can do the same with any folders too.
By this process you can hide a full folder. To do that, first assign a blank name to it. Then Right Click on the Folder > Properties > Customize > Change Icon > Set a blank icon to it.
Same rule applies to make a file disappear too.
