Unblocking Download Limit With MAC Spoofing

Every computer has various network interfaces on it like Ethernet card, Wireless card and other that allow it to communicate with the other computer on the internet. Each network interface on every computer on the internet has a unique MAC addresses are defined by the manufacturer of the computer at time of manufacturing. Different network interface on the same computer will usually have a different unique MAC addresses. It is possible to view the MAC addresses of your own machine by going to MS DOS prompt and typing command "getmac -V" ithout quotes:

A number of companies, colleges and organizations have a policy on how much data each user can download from internet in a specific amount of time. This is usually done to manage bandwidth and resources on the network. Typically such download limits are enforced by recording the MAC addresses. As soon as a particular MAC address reaches its respective download limit, then their Internet access is taken away.

Once you have reached the download limit assigned to your MAC address, if you want to still continue to download data from Internet, then you can try to change your MAC address to a new MAC address, by a technique called MAC SPOOFING. After that you will be able to fool your network allowing you to download stuff from Internet.

There is a very cool free utility called "MacMakeUp" that allows you to easily change your MAC address. Just select the adapter, type the MAC address and click on CHANGE button. You may have to disconnect and reconnect to network for MAC spoofing to come into effect.

Some other Tools that allow MAC spoofing are MAD MACS, ETHER CHANGE, BWMACHAK and others.

If you want to bypass your download limit using MAC spoofing, then normally you have to change your MAC address to that of some other user valid user on the network. So the obvious question now how you can find out somebody else's MAC address. It is quite easy to find out some other user's MAC address by simply running a data sniffer on your machine to sniff data packets being sent across the network. mine fav tool is Wireshark .

Once you have change your MAC address and pretend to be some other user then you will be able to continue downloading data as long as the user you are pretending to be does not reaches its download limit. The firewall thinks that some other user is downloading data but in reality its you who is pretending to be someone else.

NOTE: On some networks, administrator have no downloading limit, this means that if you are able to spoof your MAC address and pretend to be administrator then you have unlimited downloading.

In a normal way, we can use USB and DVD for carry big files one place to another but sending big files over the internet is not an easy task. If you are Firefox fan then I think you already update your old Firefox with new one. Now do some more things to get maximum benefit from latest version.

How to Speed-up Firefox 8 ?

So first of all enter about:config on your Firefox 8 address bar and click on I’ll be careful, I promise!

Now you can see all preference with default settings to make settings just double click on any preference and enter new value. I am covering here preference tweaks to get better speed.

1. Increase Pipelining value 4 to 8.

Search for network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Double click on it and set new value 8 (Default is 4). When we set it 8 next time Firefox 8 will send 8 request to server request than old 4 time. It will increase Firefox 8 page loading speed.

2. Stops the display of placeholders.

Search for browser.display.show_image_placeholders. You can see its default value is true so make it false to disable display of placeholders while images are loading. It will increase Firefox 8 page loading speed. To make it false just double click on browser.display.show_image_placeholders and it will automatic convert in false value. Or you can use right click option to make it false just right click onbrowser.display.show_image_placeholders and select Toggel option.

3. Disable Firefox automatically prefetching (loading) the contents.

It is old technique to speed-up Firefox old versions and we can apply it on Firefox 8 also. Search fornetwork.prefetch-next and you will get it with default value true. To speed up Firefox 8 make it false. Double click on network.prefetch-next and it will automatic false. Or you can use Toggel option after right click on network.prefetch-next preference.

4. Increases the maximum number of persistent connections per server.

Search for network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server. Default value is 6 make it 8. Increases the maximum number of persistent connections per server which can help speed up loading of multimedia rich sites.

5. Send multiple requests to a server.

We can also increase Firefox 8 speed to send multiple requests to a server. It will increase webpage loading speed. To set it search for network.http.pipelining and make it true. By default value is false. Double click on network.http.pipelining and it will automatic toggel to true.

6. Sets a maximum number of multiple requests.

Using preference we can set a maximum number of multiple requests that can be pipelined to prevent overloading the server. It helps to Firefox to complete last request sooner. Search fornetwork.http.pipelining.maxrequests and set its value 4 to 8. By default value is 4.

If you are not familiar with preference settings then you can install Firefox Add-Ons to increase web-page loading speed.

Windows, being one of the most used OS, brings great challenges for Microsoft to keep its users impressed in the next version of Windows.

Although Windows 7 has done exceptionally well since its release, Microsoft has been constantly working to make the next version of Windows a better one by further improving upon the existing features, and have added new impressive Windows 8 features along with a stunning UI.

Microsoft released the early version of Windows 8 on a prototype tablet last week. Those of you who would like to taste and experience the all new Windows 8, you can download the Developer Preview, which is currently in pre-beta version. The developer version shows off the current stage of the OS. It is available for free download, and comes in three different packages:

“Windows To Go is a new feature in Windows 8 that enables enterprise administrators to create USB drives containing complete, managed Windows images that users can use to boot and run Windows on any Windows 7 or Windows 8 capable computer. Windows To Go makes it possible for employees to use a managed device whether they work from home, a client office or in a free seating environment. Another interesting thing about this feature is that, if the USB drive is removed, Windows will automatically freeze, but will continue to operate if the USB drive is inserted back in the next 60 seconds after removal.

To compete with Apple, Windows has confirmed the introduction of a Windows Store, similar to Mac App Store, which allows users to browse through Windows applications, while developers can publish their Metro-style apps on Windows 8 devices.

Few days back, Microsoft gave a strategic view of its app store, and gave a quick demo on how it works. Microsoft revealed that the Windows App Store will be the only place where users can access the Metro-styled apps. Here’s a quick demo that shows how users will be able to buy their apps:

The Windows Defender which was first released with Windows Vista is getting a security upgrade with the upcoming Windows 8. COMMAND PROMPT ON RIGHT-CLICK

Many computer users, specially the programmers, need to launch a command prompt window every once in a while to execute some dos/shell commands. The problem is, when a command prompt window launched, the default path is normally the system path or the user profile's path. The users will then have to do all the "cd" commands to change the directories to the path he/she wants.
This trick shows you how to add an option called "Command Prompt" when you right-click on a folder in Windows. With this option, a Command Prompt Window will launch and its current directory will be the path to the folder you've selected.

The Solution
You can either edit your registry OR download the registry file and apply it on your computer.
Method I. Manually edit the registry:

Start > Run
Enter "regedit" and hit Enter
Expand to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Folder\shell"
Right-click on "shell" and select New > Key
Make sure a new key is created under "shell". Change the name of this key to "Command Prompt"
Right-click on this new key "Command Prompt" and select New > Key
Change the name of this key to "command"
Here's what we should have:
Double-click on the "(Default)" text on the right window to bring up the edit box
Enter this text into the Value Data field:
cmd.exe "%1"
Click OK and close the registry.

You can use the navigation pane (the left pane) to find files and folders and display links to frequently used folders and other items. You can also move or copy items to a destination in the navigation pane.

If you don't see the navigation pane on the left side of an open folder window, clickOrganize, point to Layout, and then click Navigation pane to display it.

- To automatically expand the navigation pane to the folder that's selected in the folder window, select the Automatically expand to current foldercheck box, and then click OK.

To add a folder, a saved search, a library, or even a drive as a favorite, drag it to theFavorites section in the navigation pane. Note: You can’t add individual file to Favorites, but you can add them to any folder in Favorites.
To change the order of favorites, drag a favorite to a new position in the list.
To restore the default favorites in the navigation pane, right-click Favorites, and then click Restore Favorite Links.
To view the folder where your favorites are stored, click Favorites in the navigation pane. Favorites are stored as shortcuts.
To remove a favorite, right-click the favorite, and then click Remove. This removes the favorite from the navigation pane—it doesn't delete the files or folders that the shortcut points to.

In Windows Vista, you can add folders to Favorite Links in the navigation pane so that you can open them from any folder window at any time. To do this, first open the folder that contains the subfolder you want to add. Then simply drag its icon from the original folder to where you want it in the navigation pane. You can also clickFolders at the bottom of the pane and drag a folder from the folder list up into the Favorite Links section of the pane. Note: You can’t add individual files to Favorite Links, but you can add them to any folder in Favorite Links.

In Windows 7, you can also pin shortcuts for favorite or frequently used files, folders, and websites to the Jump Lists for each of those programs to the taskbar. Learn more about Jump Lists.

Pin a program to the taskbar

To pin a program shortcut to the taskbar, do one of the following:

If the program is already running, right-click the program's button on the taskbar (or drag the button toward the desktop) to open the program’s Jump List, and then click Pin this program to taskbar.
Or if the program isn't running, click Start, find the program’s icon, right-click the icon, and then click Pin to Taskbar.
You can also pin a program by dragging the program's shortcut from the desktop or Start menu to the taskbar.

4. Customize the Quick Launch Bar in Windows XP

In Windows XP, the customizable Quick Launch Bar also gives you convenient shortcuts to your favorite programs, folders, and files. The Quick Launch Bar remains accessible from most windows, so it’s a handy way to open the applications and files you use frequently.

If the Quick Launch Bar isn’t already visible to the right of the Start button , you’ll need to turn it on. To do that, right-click an open area of the taskbar. Hover your mouse pointer over Toolbars, then click Quick Launch. The Quick Launch Bar appears on your taskbar.

To add a program shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar, click the Start button, click All Programs, then click and drag the application you want to the Quick Launch Bar. Release the mouse button and the application’s icon appears in the Quick Launch Bar.

To add a folder or file shortcut to the Quick Launch Bar, open Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder, subfolder, or individual file you want, click and drag the folder or file you want to the Quick Launch Bar. Release the mouse button and the icon for the folder or file appears in the Quick Launch Bar.

To remove a shortcut from the Quick Launch Bar, right-click on the icon in the Quick Launch Bar of the application, folder, or file you want to remove and right-click it, click Delete, and then click Yes when asked if you’re sure you want to delete the shortcut. Note: Although the shortcut is removed from the Quick Launch Bar, the actual application, folder, or file has not been deleted from your computer.

5. Arrange windows on your desktop

In Windows, you can arrange windows side by side, which can be especially helpful when comparing two documents or when moving files from one place to another.Note: If you’re using a nonstandard setup (such as dual monitors), the tricks below may not work as expected.

Windows 7

Drag the title bar of a window to the left or right side of the screen until an outline of the expanded window appears.
Release the mouse to expand the window.
Repeat steps 1 and 2 with another window to arrange the windows side by side.

To return a window to its original size click the Maximize button in the window’s title bar and the window expands to full size.

6. Organize your files into groups

Windows offers a variety of options for organizing folders and files in the ways that work best for you.

Windows 7

The easiest and most effective way to organize your stuff in Windows 7 is to use file arrangements in your libraries.

You can arrange files in the Documents library by author, for example, or you can arrange the Music library by artist if you're looking for an album or song by a particular band.

To arrange a library

In the taskbar, click the Windows Explorer button .
In the navigation pane (the left pane), click a library (such as Music).
In the library pane (above the file list), click the Arrange by menu, and then choose a property. For example, in the Music library, you can choose Artist to quickly arrange your music collection by artist.

When you arrange your files, Windows doesn't just put your files in a different order. Instead, they are presented in a completely different way. The arrangements work differently depending on which one you choose. For example, arranging your pictures by month puts your pictures into stacks, like this:

To arrange the window's contents, right-click again in any empty space on the window's contents pane, point to Arrange Icons By, and clickName, Size, Type, or Modified (the choices may vary depending on the contents).

Here are my HACKS on how to switch back to old Facebook Chat.

1. You need to open New Tab (CTRL+T for firefox)
2. Open your Album Directory (http://www.facebook.com/media/albums/)
3. Click the Facebook Chat Box on the Bottom Right
4. You can now Enjoy chatting your friends with the old Facebook Chat.

So it will look like the below pic,i gave 123 as my password

step 4: click File and click save as.

step 5:give filename as locker.bat and click save.

This is now usable and you can use it without any problem but the problem is that anyone with a computer knowledge can edit this file and can change your password .So you need to make it secure.we convert this .bat file to .exe file.

step 2: extract the file and then run Bat_To_Exe_Converter.exe,select Batch file,means our locker.bat file.Then click compile.you are done.A new locker.exe file will be created.you can also add any icon file to make it beautiful.

So you are done now , follow this steps to secure your documents

1>click locker.exe and follow instructions
2>A new locker folder will be created automatically after clicking.Now put all of your personal data in that folder.
3>Click locker.exe again.Notice that locker folder is now vanished.Ya its kind of magic.
4>click locker.exe again and give your password to see your locker folder again
