Fredrik Neij dan Peter Sunde, dua orang pendiri situs berbagi file The Pirate Bay, tiba di Pengadilan Banding Swedia di Stockholm pada tanggal 28 September 2010.

Computers IT - Salah satu pendiri situs berbagi file Pirate Bay telah ditangkap di Swedia selatan untuk menjalani hukuman pelanggaran hak cipta setelah di jalankan selama hampir dua tahun.

Peter Sunde telah menjadi buronan Interpol sejak 2012 setelah dijatuhi hukuman penjara di Swedia dan didenda karena melanggar undang-undang hak cipta.

Kami telah mencari dia sejak tahun 2012, kata Carolina Ekeus, juru bicara Badan Kepolisian Nasional Swedia. "Dia dihukum dengan delapan bulan penjara sehingga dia harus menjalani hukumannya."

Android Police menemukan kejanggalan pada beberapa ulasan yang kata-katanya mirip walaupun ditulis oleh pengguna yang berlainan.

Dalam bahasa Inggris, susunan kata-kata dalam ulasan-ulasan tersebut lebih kurang berbunyi "Thank you so much blackberry team. I was waiting this app. Its really great user friendly and smooth" (terima kasih blackberry, saya sudah menunggu aplikasi ini. aplikasi ini hebat, tampilannya bersahabat dengan pengguna dan lancar).

Ada sejumlah ulasan yang mengopi mentah-mentah tulisan di atas, lengkap dengan kesalahan bahasa di dalamnya. Ada pula yang ditulis sedikit berbeda, tapi tetap mengucapkan "terima kasih" dan menyebut bahwa aplikasi BBM berjalan "lancar".

Sejumlah ulasan BBM di Google Play yang diduga palsu

Diduga ulasan-ulasan tersebut palsu alias merupakan spam yang ditujukan untuk menaikkan nilai aplikasi BBM di Google Play Store. Karena hanya ulasan mengandung teks yang ditampilkan di laman review aplikasi, kemungkinan masih ada lebih banyak lagi ulasan palsu yang hanya memberikan nilai tanpa tulisan.

Android Police juga mencatat bahwa kebanyakan ulasan mencurigakan itu berasal dari India dan Indonesia.

Pihak BlackBerry telah merespons dugaan review palsu untuk aplikasi BBM. "Kami belakangan megetahui soal ulasan BBM dengan nilai bintang lima di Google Play yang diduga palsu," ujar juru bicara BlackBerry Victoria Berry, sebagaimana dikutip oleh The Globe and Mail.

"Kami tidak menyetujui ataupun membiarkan aktivitas-aktivitas seperti ini dan akan bekerja sama dengan Goole untuk mengatasinya," lanjut Berry. Dia menyayangkan adanya ulasan palsu karena laman aplikasi BBM di Google Play juga mengandung ulasan-ulasan positif sungguhan.

BlackBerry untuk Android resmi dirilis 22 Oktober lalu setelah sebelumnya sempat ditarik kembali. Aplikasi ini diunduh lebih dari 10 juta kali hanya dalam waktu 24 jam setelah mulai tersedia.

Pihak berwenang India merilis laporan yang berhubungan dengan penangkapan kejahatan dunia maya

Menurut sebuah laporan yang telah diberikan oleh pemerintah India, peningkatan yang signifikan telah dicatat dalam jumlah kejahatan dunia maya terkait dengan penangkapan selama beberapa tahun terakhir.

Menteri Komunikasi Negara Milind Deora dikutip oleh The Times of India, mengungkapkan bahwa pada tahun 2011 1.184 orang ditangkap karena kejahatan dunia maya di bawah hukum UU IT 2000, dan 446 orang ditahan karena kejahatan komputer berdasarkan bagian dari KUHP India (IPC).

Sebagai perbandingan, pada tahun 2007 hanya 154 orang ditangkap atas kejahatan di bawah Undang-Undang IT dan 429 untuk kejahatan berdasarkan IPC.

Sejak saat itu, telah terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dalam jumlah penangkapan. Pada tahun 2008, 2009 dan 2010, total sebanyak 373, 551, dan masing-masing 1.193 orang yang ditahan.

Sejauh ini jumlah kejahatan dunia maya yang dilaporkan oleh pihak yang berwenang pada tahun 2011 adalah 1.791 kasus yang telah terdaftar berdasarkan UU IT tahun 2000, dan 422 berdasarkan IPC.

Video menunjukkan bagaimana seorang penyerang dapat mengakses file dan informasi lainnya, termasuk pengaturan TV dan daftar saluran, akun SecureStorage, widget, riwayat film yang diputar dari perangkat USB, identitas, dan kata sandi firmware.

Lubang keamanan ini bahkan memungkinkan penjahat dunia maya untuk membaca informasi dari perangkat USB yang terpasang dan mengontrol TV dari jarak jauh. Bahkan yang lebih buruk lagi, cacat ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk menginstal perangkat lunak berbahaya.
