On one hand it has resulted in advancement in all respects, on the other hand it has provided a safe haven for criminals to put vicious plans into action. As technology has advanced, criminals have started exploiting the same technology to unleash new breeds of crime in the virtual world.

Older methods like spamming, phishing and generating and distributing malware are no longer the favorites of cybercriminals. They are now venturing into more sophisticated and advanced techniques that most enterprises and organizations might not even be aware of. Some new techniques employed by cybercriminals include the use of botnets (malicious software) for specialized phishing and tabnapping. Tabnapping is a new cyber tactic used by criminals to deceive people into divulging their passwords by changing already open browser tabs.
In such a scenario, enterprises and organizations need to implement effective security measures to protect their critical information from cyber criminals. However, at the pace that cyber crime is progressing, technology sometimes lacks the prowess to curb these criminal activities. Thus, these crimes committed in the virtual world are producing irreparable damages in the real world.

The Legal Recourse to Virtual Crimes

Today enterprises are seeing a subsequent rise in cyber attacks from both outsiders and insiders. And when technology fails to curb these attacks, the only option left is to take a legal course of action. However, this alone won't guarantee a win because creating a watertight case is essential. For creating a watertight case, digital evidence needs to be processed accurately.

Challenges

IT and Information Security teams in every enterprise and corporation are struggling to meet the deadlines of corporate investigations as the amount of data that needs to be analyzed continues to grow. Moreover, current technologies and tools that use simple keyword search techniques provide little solace in managing the heavy workload. This makes the corporate investigation process arduous and time-consuming since it involves lot of rework. The result of this is heavy expenses and financial exposure.

To carry out successful corporate investigations, what is required is a good ediscovery solution that takes much less time to analyze electronically stored information but at the same time produces accurate results.

How to Identify Good ediscovery Software

There are certain features that a good e Discovery solution must possess to ensure successful digital investigations. Let's look at some of them:

· Ability to collect data from diverse data sources in a sound manner

· Ability to carry out automated analysis to wrap up investigations faster

· Ability to reduce manual review of insignificant data

· Ability to produce accurate results

· Ability to sort through millions of files and documents quickly

The availability of such ediscovery software helps lawyers and investigators to quickly identify both evidence and suspects.

electronic evidence discovery
The unique feature of the processor is that it can combine the power of the transistors to carry out a huge amount of calculations per second. This is what gives computers their incomparable computing power. Digital devices run a variety of software to harness this power and are able to surpass humans and mechanical devices in terms of performance and quality of work done.

Computers generate a large amount of data during their routine operations. To keep this data safe and sound even after the machine has been switched off, a number of data-storage devices have been invented. These differ widely in storage capacity, shape and size as well as price. Their capacity ranges from a mere 1.2 MB of the now-almost-extinct floppy diskette to an enormous 500 GB of a portable hard drive.

These storage devices use different technologies to store data. The optical disks, as the name states, use a laser to read and write data, while hard disks use an electro-magnet mounted over their head. The new-fangled USB drives use flash memory and electric charge to perform their storage functions. All these storage devices, though very useful in day-to-day computer work, have one thing in common – they can lose all their data abruptly and leave the user in the lurch. This data loss can occur due to a variety of reasons.

Hardware errors are quite common. These relate to defects and malfunction of the physical surface and components of the storage media. Hard drives are quite delicate devices that are susceptible to impact trauma. The most serious error that can occur to them is a head crash. Water and fire damage can also result in serious cases of data loss.

Optical disks may lose data due to corruption of their exposed recording surface. Then there are software causes. These relate to data loss due to some problem with the software programs and actual user data. The most common software errors are accidental deletion of a file by the user, accidental reformatting of the storage media and a virus attack.

Data loss for any reason is a serious business. It can lead to tremendous losses and financial setbacks for companies. For individuals, loss of critical files may result in a lot of inconvenience and hand-wringing. The moment someone’s data gets lost, the first priority is to get it back as soon as possible. Depending on the severity of the case, the cost and time involved in recovering data may range from negligible to phenomenal.

For data loss due to software causes, Do It Yourself (DIY) recovery software is a good option. There are many companies that sell these packages through their websites. You have to pay online using a credit card and download the software to your computer hard disk. DIY recovery is ideal for cases such as accidental deletion of files, file corruption and even reformatting of the storage media. The only danger in this is that if you are unlucky, the software files may get downloaded exactly on the same spot of the hard disk where your missing files have been residing. This will result in overwriting and may lead to permanent loss of the missing data.

Getting data recovered professionally is the only option in cases of data loss due to hardware causes and serious software errors. The professional recovery companies use specialized equipment and tailor-made file-extraction software to recover your data. They have a team of technically qualified and experienced engineers who extract the files carefully using a variety of techniques.

The most important asset these companies have is what is called a clean room. This is a small space enclosed from all sides in which the air is continuously recycled through powerful filters, removing all air-borne contaminants, even microscopic ones such as skin flakes, sweat, human hair, perfume vapour and chemicals. Entry into a clean room is strictly regulated and the technicians have to wear a moon suit.

Clean rooms are needed because hard disks are very sensitive to dust. Even a tiny spec wedged between the platters and head can make the disk to crash, leading to catastrophic data loss. In a clean room, the disks can be opened, repaired, resealed and handed back to the customer.

Professional recovery is not an inexpensive proposition. It can cost a lot of money because of the effort, technical skill and infrastructure required to extract the lost data. However, it is worth it if the alternative is the collapse of your business due to data loss.
The type of data that we need to access everyday is highly personalized according to our lifestyle and profession. That is why the backup needs of a housewife will be different from those of a student, but both will depend on a certain database that absolutely must not be lost.

Backup – Its Importance

Surveys reveal that the people of the UK are more aware of viruses than they were before. Over 75% of all home users feel that it is important to have an antivirus installed. However, few update the software regularly. Apart from viruses, there is not much awareness about other causes of data loss. Operating System (OS) crashes are still unforeseen by most. Hardware-related issues are more common, especially the hard disk crash. These cases being rarely within the purview of laymen, mishandling is quite common. The other form of data loss which is steadily rising is through human error. A wrong click of the mouse, a USB drive that accidentally slides into a bowl of soup, or a CD that gets scratched while being taken out from the tray -- there are so many ways in which data can be lost by the owners.

This is where the importance of backup comes in. No matter how prepared you are, and how safe you feel your system is, a data loss can catch you unawares. Five types of data that we commonly lose and that need to be backed up regularly have been listed below.

Personal Memo and Address Book

The address book and the personal memo are two important folders that are immediately lost in case the OS crashes. We usually keep them in the same drive with the program files as they come as a package, storing our precious information in them. Imagine trying to find out all the phone numbers, email ids and addresses of your friends and family, not to mention birthdays, etc. The personal memo sometimes contains little bits of information such as when you want the wall clock delivered from the service centre, the date for the renewal of your id card, and other data that can be very frustrating to lose.

Preserving Memories

We all like to preserve our precious memories. Photos and family videos have become an important part of our lives. They also take up a lot of space on the hard drive as media files are usually quite large, even if compressed. Therefore, they also stand more chances of getting corrupted or deleted. It is advisable to keep regular backups of these and not to load them on the hard disk at all. The moments captured in them will not come back if lost once.
Personal Library and Repertoire

Do you like reading? Maybe you have written a few stories or poems yourself. All music lovers keep downloading music and video clips from the internet. Imagine how sorry you would feel if your library or your repertoire vanishes one morning in a disk crash. Media downloads are prone to corruption and fragmentation. Ensure you run a virus scan before taking a backup of them.

Accounts and Vital Information

Many of us keep our personal finance details on our hard disks. This information can pose a threat if lost. You don’t want a crafty hacker to get access to your account or credit card details. Besides, if you have the good habit of keeping regular accounts, you should also try to preserve it properly for the tax people.

Working from Home

Many people work from home now, running their businesses, writing on the net, selling goods and services on the web, designing, having an animation or editing or sound studio – and all those activities that require digital backup. If you are working from your desktop or laptop, it is crucial that you take regular backup of your client data, too, apart from the work-related information. You will face the very uphill task of rebuilding the database and redoing everything again if you lose your business data.

Developing the Backup Habit

Taking regular backups is not expensive, but a matter of habit. There are CD, DVD, USB drives and portable hard disks available as cheap and handy options.

Sometimes we might actually do so. Backing up your data is important, and yet it is often a neglected part of using computers. Data can be lost rather easily. Human error, a virus, or simply a computer crash can wipe out important documents, photos, contact lists and more.

Backing up your data is important to everyone, not just businesses. Imagine all those photos you took of your children growing up, now sitting on your hard drive. What about your video and music collection? Perhaps you've heard about entire collections of documents lost from your friends' or coworkers' computers. The stories are haunting. All those years of searching and collecting of that data, and it can be wiped out in an instant. Could you ever replace all that information?

Hard Drives Are Not Always Safe

The truth is that hard drives don't live forever. Even if you've never had an incident with a virus during the life of an existing hard drive, it will eventually wear out. Your hard drives are also always vulnerable to viruses, or from a power surge, which can also cause them to fail. You may try to use data recovery programs, but prevention is always better than hoping your data will be able to be recovered.

When hard drives fail, it might be difficult to replace all that information. If you use your computer for a business, it is even more important, as that could be hundreds of thousands of dollars of information that you are risking by not backing up your hard drives. Depending on your hard drives and virus protection alone is very risky when you have so much that you are responsible for.

How Often Should You Back Up Data?

This question is often debated. Some suggest every day, or a week, others suggest every time they upload anything new. Some are comfortable with simply doing it once a month.

How often you choose to back up your data is up to you. A good rule of thumb is to back up your data as often as you have new and important data to back up. For example, businesses that depend on contact data management programs and update important information daily might find it better to back up every day at the end of the day -- of just that data. Other documents and folders that are not updated quite as often can possibly be updated once a week or once a month.

It might completely depend on the type of data you want to back up. It is easy enough to set up a routine. Back up important data every day or week regularly and get into the habit of doing so. You can set your computer to remind you of when you need to back up. There are also programs that will do your back ups for you when you want it to. There's more information on these programs later in this article.

What Data To Back Up

It is true; you don't always need to back up everything on your computer. What you should decide now is what is important to you to save. Here's a list of things you should consider backing up.

Family photos

Films

Music

Stories and documents

Bookmarks

Address book (emails and addresses of families and friends or business clients)

To do lists

Presentations

Old emails

Work files and folders

Games

There might be many more types of files you want to save. You should go through your computer and think about any information you would not want to lose if your hard drive should fail.

How To Back Up Your Data

It is now easier than ever to back up your data. It all starts with knowing what data you want to save, and keeping it in centralized locations on your PC. If you know what to save, you know exactly what to do and to work it into a routine. Learn where your data is.

The next step is selecting what data you want to save and when. Perhaps you have documents that you wrote a year ago, but at the moment you don't want to use and yet you want to keep them anyway. Obviously such files only need to be stored once in your chosen locations. By separating your documents into when you need to save them, you'll find it easier to do back ups. It'll also take a lot less time to do a back up on just items that were updated recently, not all your files all the time.

Once you have your files separated, there's a couple of ways to back up your data. There's also a way to back up your hard drive so if it should ever fail, you won't have to remember all the programs you had and having to reinstall them again. We'll get to that in a minute.

Doing It Yourself

Here's the old reliable way of doing data recovery. You could back up your data on burned disks, and it is a good idea, but a disk can be scratched or lost. It's a good idea to utilize burning CDs with your information, but you should also have additional copies in other areas. If you burn a disk with important information, do yourself a favor and burn two copies, keeping the second one at a different location, like a safety deposit box.

Another way to do this is to get a flash drive. An additional external drive that you can store your files on. It acts as an additional hard drive. You could regularly back up your data files on these flash drives.

Both of these storage methods are rather inexpensive over time. A flash drive could cost $200 or so but is worth it for all the years it will save your data for you. CDs cost only $1 - $3 each depending on the type, and a CD burner costs as little as $50.

While using them is highly recommended, it is often the hardest habit to get into, even when you devote yourself to doing it regularly. It is easy to forget to back up your drives like this. If you don’t trust yourself to do this regularly, there's another method of backing up your files.

Internet Based Data Storage

There are companies now that will help you store your data for you.

Google Docs (http://docs.google.com/) does provide storage of your files. This would be for your Word, Excel and other documents. You can store and share your files online. Many people like it and use it for work documents. You still have to manually upload the documents every time though.

Another useful tool is Xdrive (http://www.xdrive.com/), which offers 5 GB of storage space for free. Their download also features a way to automatically back up your selected files as you need. Need more space? They offer 50 GB of storage for a fee.

Yet another utility, Mozy (http://mozy.com/) offers 2 GB free, and for a small monthly fee you get additional storage. They offer both home and professional versions of their services.

Ghost (http://www.symantec.com/themes/ghost/index.jsp), provided by Symantec, not only backs up your data, but also your entire hard drive. If your hard drive is ever wiped out, you have a Ghost to restore an exact copy of the last backup made. It'll store your software and files exactly as you had it before. It also constantly updates itself when you want it to.

Recommendations

To completely cover your hard drive, here's the recommended steps:

1. Section off files you don't need all the time, and perhaps those files you don't really access at all and store those files on burned CDs or flash drives, making duplicate sets, one for the office and one for off site. Replace them with updated versions with additional "no need" files once every two months or so.

2. Set files aside that you use every day, and set a system like Xdrive or Mozy to download in the evening when you sleep to store your data.

3. If you don't run a lot of software, or you have all your disks, or you wouldn't miss a lot of the software that you have there isn't much more to be done. However, if you do, and want to prevent having to re-install all those programs, and have an extra data back up feature, go ahead and get a program like Ghost, programmed to update at least once a month.
The promotional incentives market is always receptive to new and exciting ways to reach the target audience. Traditionally promotional products have been branded with a company’s logo to leave a lasting impression with the prospect. The usability of the giveaway is a key component to its success. This is the reason why gifts such as Pens, Notepads, Clothing and general business accessories have always been popular! The USB Flash Drive has taken this to another level altogether – now you can give potential prospects a USB Flash Drive and be confident your branding will hit home. The major innovation to the promotional incentives market is the way in which the device can be manipulated to suit the needs of various organizations.

For example, the USB Flash Drive can be preloaded with data prior to it being given away. This allows useful information to be at the fingertips of the recipient. This could be in the form of a PDF, PowerPoint, Video, etc. This is the ideal way for companies to make sure that when a potential prospect leaves they have a permanent reminder of exactly what the company can offer. This could be in the form of a document, a price list etc.

They are typically small, lightweight, removable and rewritable storage devices. USB flash drives offer numerous advantages over other portable storage devices i.e. floppy disk. They are compact, faster; hold more data, and have superior reliability due to their lack of moving parts and durable design. In addition it has become common for computers no longer to have floppy disk drives. Conversely USB ports appear on nearly all PC and laptop’s nowadays.
Instead of the floppy device or the CD ROM that are used for reading a floppy disk and CD respectively, a pen drive can be plugged into the USB (Universal Serial Bus) Port of a computer. The USB connectivity makes the pen drive easier to use and data can be transferred faster to and from the pen drive.

Different Manufacturers have named Pen Drives they manufacture differently. Today, a pen dive goes by the names of thumb drive, USB flash drive, Jump Drive, Traveler`s Drive, USB key drive, USB memory stick and many others!

These pen drives are small, inexpensive, almost ubiquitous and extremely handy. They are available largely in the range of 1 to 8 GB which makes them of great use and has made floppy disks and CDs look like useless storage mediums.

The credit of inventing the pen drives goes to IBM. It was invented in 1988 to replace the floppy disks, but IBM never patented it. IBM contracted in M-Systems to manufacture the Pen Drive and the patent is now owned by them.

The pen drive is a modern floppy disk. The main difference is that a floppy disk has moving parts which makes the data stored on the drive vulnerable to loss. A pen drive, on the other hand is a solid state device i.e. it has no moving parts. This makes it possible to almost completely seal the pen drive making it dust-proof and the common magnetic fields. Hence, a pen drive is a much safer option for storing important data.

The latest operating systems like (Windows XP, Linux and Mac OS 2) can recognize these pen drives and mount them automatically. Once it is connected, recognized and mounted by the operating system, it appears just like any other partition of the hard disk except it is named as removable storage.

The pen drive can be removed any time after it is un-mounted (safely remove hardware in case of Windows) and can be re-plugged into the same or a different machine to be used again. A pen drive`s most important use is to transport data and files from one machine to another. For e.g. one can simply copy all the word processing documents, images and spreadsheets to the pen drive, carry it along and copy the files on his/her home computer and work on it at home.

Some users have found the pen drive useful in moving their internet browser History, Cache, Cookies, and other transient data. This improves their privacy and security as no traces of the work done on the machine is left on the PC. Once copied to the drive, the files can be made more secured by encryption or any other method of security.

The pen drives can also be used to store operating systems to boot the computer. This makes them popular for repair and diagnostic work. Instead of carrying tools and maintenance software applications on CDs, a pen drive can be used which is faster and can be manipulated easily in case the software is upgraded or is no more useful.

A pen drive is one of the most economical mobile medium for data storage in terms of cost per unit storage space. They are really light-weight and robust in nature which has made it a big hit and a very important and indispensable tool for a large number of users.
According to a recent Dell'Oro report, the worldwide market for service provider routers is projected to approach $9 billion by 2011. Targeted at Internet service providers (ISPs), cable network operators, as well as triple and quadruple play operators, Foundry Networks has made a power play for the metro network space with the NetIron MLX routers. Based on the flagship XMR series router, the MLX offers the highest 10GbE and GbE density available to address current and forthcoming service provider capacity requirements. With Foundry's compelling price of only $600/Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) port, industry leader Cisco Systems is starting to take notice.

After more than four years in development, the Carrier Routing System, or CRS-1 was released by Cisco in 2004 at a development cost of $500M. However due to changes in the IOS (Internetwork Operating System) and cost of almost $450,000 upon release, it only offered a rare glimpse of light for competition in the metro network space. Not surprisingly, competitors Foundry and Juniper quickly jumped into the ring.

Built on newer chip technology and advanced processors, Foundry's XMR series edge routers answered the demand for a comparable router that is almost 1/5th of the price. Released in 2006, the MXR 3200 and MLX-32 MPLS enabled routers were developed to
offer the highest 10GbE and GbE density and provide up to two billion packets per second (Bpps) of IP/MPLS routing in a 128-port system. These improvements targeted the Triple and Quadruple play service providers who host bandwidth intensive applications, such as video on-demand, broadcast television, and large scale Voice over IP (VoIP).

Just this month, semiconductor developer Cadence Design Systems announced they would be integrating the NetIron MLX as part of their new centralized data center network. With a price/performance level that rivals any router on the market, Foundry has raised the stakes in the competitive 10Gbe market. Rival Cisco has already started to position itself as a provider of a broad range of management solutions targeted towards the coveted triple-play sector. The release and initial positive market response to the MLX series will likely prove a challenge to Cisco's previously uncontested dominance.

A server is basically hardware and software and protocol. We will go over these three basics of your hosting server.

Server hardware.

Server hardware is so similar to your old PC hardware that the price of server hardware has come down considerably. Down enough that it's tempting for a lot of us to host our own server. But that's a whole different article. All a server is:

Very fast processor.
A large amount of RAM.
A vast amount of Disk Space.
Connection to a T1 line (access to the outside world).

The hardware is housed in very large office buildings. There are many racks of servers filling these climate controlled rooms. Most of the server host brag of their 99% or better uptime. This is very impressive and another reason to use a server host. How often have you re-booted your PC in the past?

Software. (Operating system)

There different operating systems on the market. Most likely the software on your server is running Apache on Linux, an open source product. Servers need to be secured and an open source application is more likely to be less buggy and more secure then their larger competitor Microsoft. These servers use an interface for you to access and configure them, a control panel. Some control panels are more complicated then others. Depending how technical you are, this is a point of concern when picking a server host.
Before recording information onto the VXA data tape, the data which comprises of long strings is then split into smaller units known as the “data packets”. Afterwards the VXA tape drive writes the data onto the data cartridge. Another new mechanism called “read after write” assures data precision and integrity. This new mechanism has been designed to ensure long term durability and exceptional reliability of VXA tape. 64 bytes make one data packet. Unique address, ECC (error correction code), synchronization marker and CRC (cyclical redundancy check) are assigned to each data packet.

The VXA tape drive features an innovative buffer segment that reads and records these data packets. 387 data packets are included in each of the data track. All of the 4 tape heads take part in the read operation. After scanning the tape media the VXA tape drive read these data packets into the tape drive’s buffer segment. The unique addresses assigned to the data packets is read by the VXA data buffer which then reunites these data packets in the correct form. The order in which these data packets are received by the buffer does not affect the data integrity as the VXA data buffer rearranges the packets according to their assigned addresses. During the first pass, the VXA buffer retains the correctly read data packets. The data packets that have been missing during the first pass are then read through the subsequent passes. Afterwards the missing data packets are added to the strings in order to complete all of the information. After the completion of data, it is then sent to the host system. This recording technique used in VXA is similar to that used in re-writable CDs, networking and internet.

New correction system for errors has been engineered for the VXA tape format that comprises of 4 levels. This error correction process completes its operation in 2 phases. In the first step of error correction, the Reed-Solomon ECC is added to each of the packet that has the capability to remove the typical errors that can result from noise or shifting of phases. Then in the next phase, the VXA tape buffer forms a matrix of the data packets that have been collected by the buffer.

This matrix of data packets incorporates a 3 dimensional Reed-Solomon ECC that is composed of Y-axis, Diagonal and X-axis ECC. This error correction system of VXA has the capability to correct maximum of 2 lost packets in each diagonal, 2 in each column and 2 in each row of the buffer array. Therefore this efficient error correction mechanism minimizes the error rate to 1x10-17. This error rate can be easily be understood by an example that it is equivalent to finding a single grain in a football stadium that has been completely filled with sand. VSO (variable speed operation) is a highly efficient mechanism introduced in VXA data tape media that improves the performance level and data integrity. Variable speed technique has been developed to enable the VXA drive to alter the tape’s speed so that it can be matched with host’s transfer rate. VSO functionality ensures superior data reliability and cost effective operations.
These two products are found in a large number of homes in the US. A recent short study has shown that when, even small problems occur, most people just place it carefully in a desk or a box somewhere. The search for an iPod repair center offering an iPod repair services usually leads to an Apple repair service. There is nothing wrong with taking your kit to such a place, except maybe for the fees. Most people avoid sending their iPods to an Apple iPod repair service because it can prove to be much more costly than other repair services. This is where independent iPod repair services come in. These independent iPod repair centers offer the same exact quality and level of professionalism that can be seen in an Apple repair center, but at a lower cost. Because some problems do not necessarily require a professional repair service, they can even be easily resolved at home on a desk.

Performing an iPod repair at home is very limited, but most people still try to perform complex repairs, this leading to even more problems and damage to their iPods. In fact a considerable number of all iPods reaching iPod repair centers get their because of unauthorized interventions and repairs, and this is why iPod users are strongly advised to use an iPod repair service even for small problems encountered with their products. The market for companies offering an iPod repair service is continuously growing, but many iPod users are completely unaware of their existence and see sending their iPods to an Apple iPod repair service as their only option. A simple search in the newspapers ads will reveal companies offering this type of services, but an even better source for finding professional iPod repair centers is the internet. This growing virtual environment presents all the needed resources as most such companies have decided to present their services online as well, in an effort to reach their potential customers at a larger scale.

Independent iPod repair service companies also offer the full range of iPod repair services at affordable costs. Many people have technical skills and feel very confident on their skills, but repair professionals strongly advise against performing home repairs as they can potentially lead to more damage for the iPod than before. The lack of proper instruments and tools are the most usual reasons for additional damage. An iPod that will never break down is probably very rare, but there is no reason why a simple operation such as changing a display should lead to more damage to the main board for example, and this is why you should always send your iPod in to an iPod repair service.
These are some repetitive work processes, like inputting same data, checking customers contact information, submitting thousands of sites, and more. You may say because they are too lazy and want to find out the simplest way to save their work time. You are right. It is just one case. Most people just want to find out the way to simplify their jobs and release their hands to do other more important jobs. This is why you need macro software, which is automation software with task scheduler and trigger. You may use macro software to complete all kind of tasks automatically by attaching task scheduler and trigger.

First, you need know what macro is. Macro is a set of keystrokes, mouse actions and instructions that are recorded, saved, edited. The recorded keystrokes, mouse action and instructions can be played back
(executed) in further. Macros can simplify day-to-day operations, which otherwise become tedious.

So how does macro software simplify your jobs? Here, let's list macro software named Macro Expert, and see how it works. The macro software is a collection of several separate applications, all work together to act like one cohesive unit. These applications are macro manager, macro service, macro script editor and macro player.

In the macro software, macro service is responsible for administering the macro list, watching for conditions that would cause a triggered or scheduled macro to play. It also monitors the hotkey of macro. Macro manager is a tool for administering the macro list, such as creating a new macro, importing an existing macro, removing a macro from the list, setting the global options, changing the property of a
macro and etc. Macro script editor is a tool for editing macro actions. Although a macro can be created by recording, but the recording only captures the mouse and the keyboard activities. You should use macro script editor to get useful action, such as waiting for a window focused, displaying a message box of notice, copying or moving files. Macro player is player for playing the macro. It will be invoked by the macro service or macro manager.

Then, you can use these applications to record your keyboard keystroke, mouse movements and mouse clicks, or edit macro script for certain tasks, and then to replay them later. For example, if you want to surf a site, you just record every step of operation, and save the actions, and then replay the macro when you want. Or in other complicated operation process, you may use macro script editor to edit steps in detail. With this way, you can, of course, simplify your jobs.

Absolutely, you may automate your tasks with task scheduler and trigger. You can schedule a macro to run at a specific time that is most convenient for you. Also you can schedule a macro to launch periodically (daily, weekly or monthly). Scheduling a macro is a good idea to perform a task automatically without your supervision.

By this macro software service, every managed macro can be triggered. So you can launch every triggered macro when some events occur, such as disk free space is low, a removable driver is removed and etc. The
macro software trigger does not have to be based on a moment in time. It may be based on one or more system events. Whenever, a system event occurred and a macro has been triggered with it, the macro will be launched automatically.

Quite clearly, by using this automation software, you can get rid of these tedious repetitive tasks you have to do every day. You see, working and making a lot of money online can take come some time combined with a little learning and setup of your business operations. You not only have to be determined and work hard, but should also be aware of the short cuts that you can take to get more work done in less time. So how is that possible?

Autoresponder software is a big part of your answer here. In order to make serious money, you have to build a list of subscribers for yourself and automate other parts of your business. Otherwise success may be possible or at least as easy if you do not get what you can automated. That way, this will not require your supervision, and you could pay attention elsewhere to more important business issues.

So how can you get help here? Follow the lead:

• Many people who want to work online think that it is tough to get a good software or program unless and until they are part of a very interactive forum where people generally discus the latest technology that is available for making huge profits. That is not the case. All the info can often be provide to you in short articles like this alone.

• Join the forums in your niche and in online business and operations like webmaster forums and the Warrior Forum for Internet marketers as soon as you can. Here you can post whatever queries you may have, plus read all about what works and what doesn't, and even interact with many other forum members. If you want to know what popular autoresponder software services are; for example, just post this question and you will be surprised at the amazing number of responses you can get.

• In order to get the best deal, after you get the websites of all the services that have been offered to you, go check them all. See what their capabilities are, and try those with free trial periods, do some tire kicking, etc. Then make an informed decision.

• When you are working online, one of the biggest concerns of yours will be to get targeted traffic to your website. You may feel that the traffic you get is not enough, and therefore you may not be able to translate the traffic into enough sales. But with autoresponders, this concern of yours will fade away as you load automated, targeted call-to-action linked messages in to your autoresponder software.

• When you look at the different options regarding autoresponders, you will see that there are desktop hosted, remote hosted and locally hosted. A remote hosted autoresponder has a third party in their service and server. When it is locally hosted, you will be able to run it through your own website, and in case of desktop hosting, you will be able to work from your PC or laptop. The most common one here is the locally hosted autoresponder, which is much easier to work with because you leave to technology, upgrades, customer service, etc. to the hosting company for hands-off operations.

• But before making your purchase you should always consider each type of autoresponder to see which one could help you the most. Even though there is this huge range of autoresponders, not all of them will suit your needs and therefore make your decision after comparing the prices and the features that are available for starting up and for growth.

So what are you waiting for? There is no time to lose! You should go out there and rake in as much of dough as possible and a good autoresponder service will be your golden ticket!
Fact is, Apple already changed the world, a quarter century ago, in the first Silicon Valley Miracle.
Now, that paragraph was just as breathless and hyperbolic as a lot of the technology reporting we get these days, but it has one advantage. It's true. When Apple debuted the Macintosh in 1984, in a now-legendary Super Bowl commercial, it was the first mouse-driven personal computer with a graphical user interface (GUI) among a sea of putty-colored, IBM-compatible boxes. The Mac started off "thinking different," with a one-piece design (unfortunately putty colored) incorporating a 9-inch grayscale monitor, and Apple positioned it as the "anti PC."

That was then, this is now In the beginning, the differences between Macs and PCs were on the inside as well as the outside. For starters, the Mac's CPU (Central Processing Unit, the "brain" chip) was sourced from the "68000 family" made by Motorola, whereas PCs typically ran on 80x86 Intel chips. This is why the first PCs were called "286," "386" and "486" machines, but the name changed to "Pentium" at the "586" fork in the road. The Macs progressed from 68000 to 68020, 68030 and 68040, until Apple adopted the IBM/Motorola PowerPC architecture to counter the Pentium.

Through the 1990s, the rivalry was hot and heavy on three distinct battlegrounds. There was the CPU battle, Intel vs. Motorola, and the operating system (OS) battle, DOS and the Windows vs. the Mac OS. Topping it off was the "design and build quality" battle. All of these were elements of advertising campaigns as well as sources of computer journalist jousting. Although some of the ad claims were erroneous, there was a great deal of truth to the differences, and some people even tried to "understand it all." One of these people was Guy Kawasaki.

The birth of product evangelists Guy Kawasaki was an early Apple employee tasked with marketing a new kind of technology. He saw more than a product, and correctly identified Apple users as a "movement" that represented a new way of thinking - The Macintosh Way, as the title of his book put it. Apple products (and the company logo, and the company vibe) were hip and relevant - rather than business-oriented, personal to the point of intimate and built like Swiss watches. The build quality has always been superior, as has the design, and few PC brands bother competing against Apple on these points.

The battles over the OS and the CPU ground on. Compared to their Pentium competitors, Macs with the early PowerPC chips struggled to hold their own. The OS battle was going Apple's way, and the introduction in 2000 of Mac OS X ("oh-ess-ten") signaled a new era. With the solid, if unremarkable, PowerPC G4 and G5 chips, the OS X Macs made a big splash, as did the introduction of the translucent, "Bondi Blue" new iMac. With the new iMac and the new OS, Apple and its Macs made a huge, nearly unprecedented splash at the beginning of the third millennium.

The Mac/Intel era The battle continued apace, until Apple changed the rules and the ratings once again in 2006 when Steve Jobs announced to a stunned conference hall that Apple would move all Macs to the Intel platform. By late 2008, all models had been purged of PowerPC chips (the Mac mini was the last holdout), and the latest Mac OS (10.6, Snow Leopard) does not even run on them. On the other hand, owners of modern Macintoshes can run all three major microcomputer OS flavors (Linux, Windows and the Mac OS) on their Intel-based computers.

Today, the three measures of Mac-PC competitiveness are stable, and still point to the Mac as the premier personal computer. The so-called "Mac premium" - the extra $100-200 Macs command over similarly capable PCs - is completely erased by the software bundle. PC makers ship their computers with various combinations of low-end office suites like Microsoft Works and other low- and no-cost programs, while Macs come with the extremely capable iLife suite. The Mac's free package of iPhoto, iWeb, Mail, Safari, Garageband and other applications and utilities is heads and shoulders above any PC bundle.

Buying decisions Windows PCs are enjoying a comeback with release of a very good Windows 7 OS, and there are premium Windows-based computers (with premium prices) from Sony, Alienware and other makers. The Mac, however, continues to hold a huge share of creative users like artists, graphic designers, musicians, audio engineers, videographers and film producers, and has made great inroads into labs, offices and accounting departments, too.

You can do great work on both PCs and Macs, of course, and your buying decision can be driven by any number of variables. Just consider what you really need to accomplish, do your homework before buying, get the best deal you can - and don't worry about any silly Mac vs. PC myths or legends, particularly those from 20 years ago about underpowered Macs or 10 years ago about virus-crippled PCs. If you want to be happy with your computer purchase these days, it's hard to go wrong with any of the big names, so hold out for a big sale.Panergy is a leading developer of software for the Mac since 1992. There has to be a reason this smart, on-the-spot company brought it to market and continues to update it. Yes, it has to do with being rich, but no, it's not about money, and this is not an anti-capitalist screed.
Say what you want about your pet economic theories, but even a slightly free market allows for thousands of times the innovation of a controlled one. In short, Adobe designed Flex because they sensed a need and filled it. Flash developers and Web gurus of all kinds needed a leg up in developing the next generation of Rich Internet Applications (RIAs), which can be built to the "okay" level right in Flash but needed more to be "insanely great," as some black turtleneck-wearing guy likes to say.

So what is it? At the most basic, a Flex application is a Flash .swf file that has been embedded in an HTML file. Flex outputs as .swf, which enables you to take advantage of all the features of the Flash Player-sound and video management, the drawing API, dynamic animations and more. The HTML that Flex generates has the JavaScript needed to determine if users have Flash Player installed or need to add or update it.

Flex didn't zoom right into the stratosphere like Flash, but it has gradually become more popular for its use of ActionScript 3.0. Fact is, developers created AS3 apps in Flex even before AS3 was officially released to Flash developers. Once Flash made it into Adobe's Creative Studio 3 (CS3), AS3 became a standard, and it's what made "Flexing your Web muscles" more exciting, and more innovative.

So how do you create a Flex app? Unlike other tools for video and animation (and even animated GIFs in the defunct ImageReady), the Flex workspace does not work with a Timeline. This is not a limiting factor, though, as Flex really is positioned for programmers rather than designers. Interestingly, it ends up "somewhere in the middle," as many other reviewers have noted, and the designer-slash-programmer job title is a more and more common one these days. When you start working with Flex, that's one of the first things you will notice.

Simply put, you "design" Flex apps by choosing pre-made graphic components like buttons, grids and boxes that you will recognize from Flash. These cookie-cutters are great, and so are the pre-made goodies, although some developer-designers will claim (correctly) that you can better control component size, if not functionality, by making your own. That said, they work dependably and are very customizable, so the real-world problems being imagined never really come up.

Arrangement and order The user interface is simple and easy to use, and you simply arrange components "on stage" how you want them. You will use the Containers to align your components however you want. A simple example is the VBox, a Container that takes everything inside it and puts them in a vertical alignment, very handy when you're setting up forms. Then you customize your look with styles and skins, set up your CSS formats and finish up the "design" to move on to "development."

With graphics in place and the app looking how you want it, you're ready to put AS3 to work handling events, creating classes or importing functions to make the Flex application a doer, not just another pretty face. Your app will respond to the user input as well as its own generated events-and connect to ColdFusion and other Flex Data/Communication Services. Remember when you're deciding about whether or not to use Flex that its partnership with ColdFusion is heaven sent, a real blessing.

Now you are ready to present the Flex app to the client, the company, your boss or the world-or all of the above. Of course, if you haven't used Flex yet, this article was not a tutorial, but a review (and an overview). Try it out yourself. Adobe makes it easy with a 30-day trial period, fully functional. If it's a tool you need, you will know it soon enough, and it won't take you long to learn it if you're motivated. Maybe it was because we had 3-5 feet of snow and I was ready for spring. Over the years I have developed temporary phobias for a number of good reasons.

A phobia is a handy way to get myself out of unpleasant situations. I developed Dentophobia (fear of the dentist) when my wisdom teeth decided to come in, but it was cured when the pain became so unbearable that I set out for the dentist office for some relief. Phobias also provide good excuses for why I do some of the silly things I seem to do, such as, when computers were first introduced to our school.

When computers were first introduced to our school I developed instant Cyberphobia (fear of computers or working on them). As the years passed I lost this phobia, but I noticed that there are many phobias associated with computers. In other words if you have any of the following phobias I would not be even near a computer.

Neophobia (fear of anything new)computers change daily, oops, hourly so you need to avoid them. Monophobia (fear of being alone)since working on a computer is not group work you should avoid a computer. Ballistophobia (fear of bullets)You can get near a computer and even work on one, but avoid that bullet button at all costs. Tropophobia (fear of making changes)dont even be in the vicinity of a computer because this is a continual procedure and if you dont change your computer system often you quickly revert to the caveman era of computer technology. Atychiphobia (fear of failure) better not chance using a computer because the power may fail, the lights may flicker and then your system fails and you have to start all over. Besides that, one misplaced finger can make you wonder, What happened now?

Ankylophobia (fear of joint immobility) try sitting at a computer all day and then get up, its close to impossible at my age so avoid the computer. Kaniophobia (fear of anything new or novel) with a computer its always changing and you may not be warned about those changes, so dont chance it. Allodoxaphobia (fear of opinions)you can get on the computer, but avoid chat rooms and articles, like this, at all costs. Castisophobia (fear of sitting)self explanatory, just avoid the computer. Tachophobia (fear of speed)avoid computers only if they have high speed internet and it was built last year, other wise, it is okay. Polyphobia (fear of many things)Everything connected to the computer is numbered in the many things category. Many functions, many buttons, many sights and especially many wires. Technophobia (fear of technology) Thats what computers are all about, technology, so avoid.

May you find your life free of any phobias and typing peacefully on your computer. Have a good life.
Just as each board type enjoys its own thermal profile in your surface mount oven, each board type also enjoys its own board-wave parameters in your wave machine

The optimal dwell time for that board was found to be 3.6 seconds, in contrast to 2.8 seconds for the first board. As you can see, the dwell time profiles of the two boards are different. This process resulted in dramatically lower defect rates for the second board studied (which had also been previously run at 1.0 seconds), although never quite as low as the new baseline which was attained for the first board. This strongly indicates the presence of sources of defects unrelated to dwell time, for example non-optimal immersion depth or design problems.

Immersion Depth

Changing your immersion depth changes your contact length and dwell time. This makes the direct and accurate measurement of immersion depth critical. Your pump speed produces a wave height (although this can diminish as your solder pot empties of solder), but the actual immersion depth of your boards depends on several factors, including solder pot height, how they sit in the fingers, if your fingers are bent, broken or crooked, the angle of your conveyor and whether or not pallets are used.

Yet controlling your immersion depth - measuring it and keeping it consistent - is only one piece of the puzzle. Another is: At which immersion depth is your board quality optimized? This point is illustrated by figure 4. See that the defect rate of the board represented by the blue bars is optimized over a different range (48 mil, or even 36 to 60 mil) than the board represented by the yellow bars (at 24 to 36 mil). So, different board types benefit most from different immersion depths.

Quantifying Cost Benefits

Prior to this study, yield loss was tracked on a monthly basis as a measure of the cost of production failures. Production volume for the board studied was 11,000 per month.

1.) With the implementation of optimal dwell time procedures using the described device, yield loss went from 3.0% (330 boards) to 1.6% (176 boards) in the first month of daily use.

2.) This meant a reduction in yield loss of 154 boards per month. For a 30 day month, this means 5.13 boards per day.

3.) At 300 for the cost of each board, cost reduction based on improved yield loss alone was 46,200 per month, which annualizes to 554,400.

4.) That means that the return on investment on the device used in the study was less than five days.

Conclusion: A seemingly small daily improvement in wave solder quality meant fast, very large, measurable monthly and annual cost savings. These figures do not even account for the valuable savings from benefits like reduced rework and field failures, less downtime and increased throughput, each of which in its own right can be more valuable than the rapid savings on yield loss.
They have recovered over five billion dollars worth of stolen cars and equipment worldwide with two billion in the U.S. alone. Their recovery rate of stolen vehicles is over ninety percent, and their web site is hosted on and driven by SharePoint.
The site we are taking a look at today is Lojack, a world- wide provider of theft deterrent and recovery systems. As with the other sites in our series, we will look at overall design and usability as well as how the site might take advantage of SharePoint’s dynamic capabilities.
At first glance, Lojack’s site promises lots of easy to access information right from the start. The home page opens with six very visible links to each kind of situation they handle, and a two-minute movie talking about theft and how Lojack can protect you. Note that standard navigation links appear at the top of the page.
If you follow any one of the prominent links on the home page, you are taken to a page explaining how the company deals with that particular type of situation, be it protecting your vehicle or keeping your loved ones safe.
I followed the automotive link as if I need to protect my car from theft. I am presented with a short blurb on car theft and another on vehicle monitoring, and options to click a button to learn more. Upon following that link, we find that we are directed to the main page for their vehicle solution. The pages for this section make learning about their product and finding the solution you need relatively easy.
For the most part, Lojack’s SharePoint site behaves as expected, with a minor but irritating exception. The navigation at the top breaks two of my rules for usability. First, you cannot click on the actual main navigation; this is not what people expect, they want to click and go.
Which brings us to our second no-no. To get anywhere through the top navigation, you have to click a link in a drop down menu. As we have discussed before, all the information should be visible, it does not make sense to have potential customer hunting blindly through drop-downs to find what they are looking for.
The saving grace for this navigation mistake is the links on the home page that lead potential clients right where they want to go. After all is said and done, Lojack gets a solid 3.5 out of 5 stars. Not the very top of the heap, but definitely in the running for usability.
Sadly, some of these are not taught to novice users. For example: losing connection to a wireless router is a basic problem with a simple fix many users do not know about that will eliminate a vast majority of the problems that cause this symptom.
When you drop your connection to your wireless router, power cycling the modem and router will likely resolve the issue completely. A number of users do not know how to perform this simple task. It's a sad fact that just about any router and modem on the market will need an occasional power cycle. They run constantly and will at times run into conflicts that can be resolved with a simple restart.

If you try to resolve the problem by calling for support, you'll probably experience the following: aAfter wasting an hour on hold with the internet service provider, you will be lead through a series of unnecessary steps to rule out serious but not terribly common problems. Since so many of these issues can be quickly resolved by power cycling, it makes sense to learn this technique before calling up tech support.

To power cycle your modem and router, all you need to do it unplug both devices. That's it. If your modem has a battery, reset it after you've unplugged the wireless router. While each device is somewhat different, you should wait an average of two minutes before plugging back in both devices. If either unit feels unusually hot, you might want to wait until they cool down a bit before powering up.

Once enough time has passed, plug in your modem. Allow your modem to completely boot and conenct back up to the internet. After it is back online, plug in your wireless router. Once your router is also functional, attempt to connect your computers to the network.

It can sometimes be helpful to reboot your computers before connecting them to the router. This will allow them to connect using a fresh IP address. IP address conflicts are an all too frequent cause for network connectivity issues.

It is regretable that modems and routers aren't made with a technical mechanism that can solve this issue for inexperienced users. Since it is such a common and needed practice, it really should be clearly indicated to every user as an aspect of proper network maintenance. If internet service providers offered instructions on power cycling to each new customer, it would probably save a bundle on phone support costs. Countless hours of technical support service are wasted on a procedure that will be necessary for nearly every user. In fact, this is something that most people will have to do quite frequently.

As this issue requires changes in the states of both the modem and router, it is difficult to create the type of uniform process that would be needed for a purely technical solution. However, it is not a huge undertaking to enable even the casual user to solve this problem without further complications. Education is the only realistic answer. While it certianly isn't the biggest challenge facing humanity, there is a value in solving this communication issue. Routers and modems need frequent power cycling, and most people do not know how to do it.
I am sure that when you first purchased and started using your computer, it was running very quickly and responded very quickly to your actions. Nothing would go wrong at this point and every process and command would be running very smoothly.

1. The Most Common Symptoms of Virus Adware Spyware Infection

However, after several weeks and months of usage, it will typically start to slow down and crawl with regards to its processing speed. With every day that passes by, it would seem like there are more and more error messages popping up every day. Some of them will also be annoying pop up advertisements. This is the stage where most people start to look for solutions, which is too late as they soon discover that their PC has been infected by virus and other malware.

2. Where and How Can You Find the Best Virus Scan Program Today?

The software that I downloaded carried out a quick initial scan which revealed many malicious files already existing in the registry and hard disks. Luckily, the program was capable of quarantining all the malicious software and dealing with them appropriately either by deleting or repairing them. Today, there are lots of different online security companies that program and distribute virus scan and removal programs, but from my own experience, it is not easy to find a high quality one that can handle spyware and virus effectively.

3. Software Detection for Virus Adware Spyware

Regardless of whether you feel that your computer system has been infected by spyware, adware and viruses, it is still advisable to get it scanned just in case. The potential hazards and losses can be huge if you choose to ignore a dangerous piece of malware that has infected the system.
