California Girls Part 2

Hello lovies! Yes, it's already Tuesday and I'm spillin' the beans on part 2 of our California trip for our Talk To Us Tuesday link party. Have you all been over to say hi to my co-host, Seriously Shawn? I'm sure she's talking about something scandalous today....like stalkers stalking your blog due to the TITLE of your posts.

So, if you didn't read part one of the infamous SoCal trip, you can read about it HERE. I left off on Saturday afternoon. Saturday night is where it got a little juicy.

There was some kissin'....

There was a little jealousy from a girlfriend or two...

Tommy's girlfriend gave us a small lecture about "showing class" at the end of the night. We laughed at her.

There was some TERRIBLE singin'...

No. I'm not lying. It's really, really bad singing but it was our theme song for this trip so you know...it had to be done. Listen at your own risk!

BY FAR my favorite night in Huntington Beach!!

Sunday was a day for ~~hangover~~ greasy food. What better place than In-N-Out? Most of us had never had an In-N-Out burger so we headed over for a taste test.

Lunch was followed by a trip to the beach for some picture opps in front of this amazing mural.

And of course, we needed to walk that infamous pier...and more picture opps.

We did a little shopping before we had to drop Connie off at the airport. It was so nice getting to meet her. And did you see how TALL she is? Who knew? Did I mention that I stole a hat on accident? Yeah, well...I did. Don't freak out. I went back and paid for it.

After returning home from dropping Connie off, we had a visit from Occifer Hill.

Apparently, JennyKate had been under surveillance for a couple of days and he came to take her downtown for questioning. I'm so glad Stacie said she had some bail money set aside for this occasion. We almost had to use it. I'm not supposed to talk about "the situation" but let's just say that JennyKate will NO LONGER be working any corners in Huntington Beach or wearing her "Suck for a Buck/Make Me Holler for a Dollar" t-shirt.

Sunday night was our last night in HB. We decided to do it up right with a trip to Viv's favorite Mexican restaurant, Taco Surf.

Let's just say there was a lot of tequila consumed at our table....and lots of wine consumed BEFORE.

Monday morning came all too quickly. Becca and Jenn left our beautiful beach house at 6:30am to head back to their states while the rest of us tried to catch up on sleep since the average nights sleep was approximately 4.5 hours per night.

We slowly got around and packed up our shiz. We had some time to kill so we got to swing by Viv's to meet her oldest son and see her beautiful home and all the craftiness inside.

Isn't he a cutie? Shawn wants him to marry Honey.

Then we decided to grab some lunch at one of her favorite local restaurants, Shenandoah. They had AMAZING "sweet yummy balls" of heaven {as our waiter says} that they served before the meal.

Then it was off to the airport to say goodbye to HB and Viv. Shawn had to leave first. We made sure to give her an embarrassing goodbye she won't soon forget.

JK and I hung out for a while waiting for our plane and began to plan next years Girls Weekend which I think will be in Tulsa!

There were a few issues on the plane ride home but it's not like we got thrown off or anything. ;)

I'm Talking About California Girls

So, I'm talking about my amazingly awesome trip to California last week to see these sexy girls:

This is how the trip started. The three of us on a plane together? Wowzer. Just be glad you weren't sitting next to us. Thanks Connie for the drink tickets!!!

We rented this beautiful 3 story beach house for 5 days and tried our hardest to stay out of trouble. We only had one minor mishap that involved police officer Hill. That story will have to wait until next week! {I'm such a tease}!

I'm sorting through over 700 pictures and videos. You'll have to bare with me as I break our trip down into 2 posts. I'll cover Thursday, Friday and part of Saturday today. Saturday night (that's a doozy!), Sunday and Monday will be covered next week.

When she flew in, we immediately went to stuff our faces. We ate tons of delicious food while we were there. I'm pretty sure we all gained a few LB's on the ol' scale.

Stealing drinks from my friends is a favorite past time...obviously...

We shared a few gifts with each other. It looked like Christmas in May. THANK YOU GIRLS! Every gift was simply amazing!

The rest of the night was spent drinking, catching up, drinking, gossiping and drinking. Sofa king fun! DON'T YOU JUDGE US!

FRIDAY

There were a few smooches on this trip. This is one of many. We are a very affectionate group of sassy girls.

At lunch, we had the opportunity to meet a couple of fellow bloggers, Emmy Mom and Casey {who I've been stalking since I started blogging}. It was soooo nice to meet them.

After our yummy lunch, we did a little shopping! JennyKate and I were very close to purchasing these fabulous glasses. We decided they may be a tad bit too big for our faces. Thoughts?

I had to kiss some feet while on vacay. SOMEBODY who's name sounds like "Ron" had a small bruise that may have been caused by me.

Of course we had to stop here to do some shopping! We don't have these in Oklahoma.

Connie and I were so excited!! I looked for famous people. They weren't out shopping on Saturday afternoon.

For dinner, we had some of this:

After dinner, we took Connie home because she got sick =( and headed to a Mexican restaurant to continue our drinking....

...except the drinks they served were horrible and had to be sent back. However, JennyKate's patron shot went down smoothly though so that was good. We got outta there and headed back home to do some good drinkin' since Viv had us all stocked up!

Saturday

On Saturday, we headed to meet my BFF Jen Aniston at the Ivy.

They serve you champaign while you wait. Very swanky. Jen requested that I not put her picture on my blog. You understand, right?

Hello lovies! I hope you had an AMAZING weekend! It's that day of the week where Seriously Shawn and myself ~~peer pressure~~ ask you to join in with our super cool linky party that has no rules! We love reading you every week!

Once a month, I love participating in Emmy Mom's 10 Things To Smile About link party. It gives me an opportunity to brag about whatever I want and you have to suffer through it. HA! Pure genius on my part, right?

1. I've been smiling all month as I count down days {and hours now} to my all girls trip to California to hang out with some sweet azz blogging skanks {said in the most loving voice}: JennyKate, Shawn, Vivienne, Becca, Connie and Jen. Meeting CONNIE for the first time is exciting!!!

2. I'm also looking forward to meeting Emmy Mom for lunch on Friday. I LOVE meeting blogging friends!!!

3. French-braiding Emma's hair for the first time makes me smile.

7. Listening to Emma sing songs and say her prayer makes me smile every single night.

8. Finding awesome projects on pinterest for my mom to do for me makes me smile! Emma is in NEED of this adorable time out chair, no?

10. Knowing that Emma is completely POTTY trained makes me smile! Now, if we can just work on the pooping. Dear Baby Jesus, please let her poo on the potty. Cleaning out stinky poo from panties every other day makes me gag. AMEN.

A Few Confessions....

so we can have a repeat of our amazing Austin trip last year. We leave in 8 days!! There will be silly videos and pictures galore. I'm sure they will only be amusing to us but it won't stop me from posting the craziness on my blog.

I confess that I'm still a little freaked out after learning that my DAD reads my blog. I talk about totally inappropriate things on here and it's bad enough that my mom reads. So I guess talking about my latest sexy adventures with me and M will be out of the question? Nah. I'll just give him a warning first.

I confess that I shared a Glamour Shots picture {circa 1991} with Boobies, Janette, and Shawn this weekend and now I will share it with you for your enjoyment:

That's me on the left {sporting my FIRST set of braces, mile high hair and thick busy eyebrows}. The other girl took a slightly different road in life than myself. I won't go into details but she's much better now.

I confess that this is the NEW picture of Shawn that pops up when she calls me. Isn't she beautiful? She is going to kill me. =)

Speaking of Shawn, I confess that receiving text messages from her husband over the weekend ended by me threatening his manhood.

I Hate Sad News.

Hey friends! It's time for my WEEKLY blog post {Gosh I'm such a blog slacker lately} for Talk To Us Tuesday hosted by one of my favorite IRL people, Seriously Shawn and of course myself. If you have a post up or are planning to write a post, link up with us and TALK to us! We love being nosey and the juicier the better! =)

I have to start this TTUT post off with some sad news. If you know or read Date Girl, then you need to know that she delivered her sweet baby girl on Sunday. She was 19 weeks pregnant with her first baby, lovingly nicknamed Roo. She's had complications with bleeding throughout her journey but the doctors told her Roo was fine.

While on pelvic/bed rest and unbeknownst to her, her water broke a couple days prior to Sunday. She started experiencing back labor and Match immediately drove her to the ER. She was then transported via ambulance to a Labor & Delivery hospital nearby. The news was heartbreaking. There was no amniotic fluid and the assumption was the baby would be stillborn, which she was.

Date Girl got to hold her sweet beautiful baby and sing to her while the nursing staff took pictures and got her hand/footprints. The delivery was quick and effortless. As you can imagine, her and Match are devastated and heartbroken for the baby they were longing to bring home in a few more months.

If you pray, please pray for comfort and peace. I can not imagine what they are going through. If you have time, please jump over to her post from yesterday by clicking HERE and send her some love. No words will make the pain go away but blogger love is always appreciated. She will be taking a much deserved break. If you don't hear back from her, just know that she's reading your comments and will get back to you when she's ready.

I hate sad news. Don't worry....I'm not ending on that note. I have to give a shout-out to my girl Stacy from Stacy Uncorked. This girl sent me THREE bottles of her own homemade wine! Do you know how excited I am to try it?? I swear, bloggy friends are so thoughtful!

I'm waiting for a special occasion to come up before I open them. I have a feeling it will be the BEST wine I've ever had! I'll let you know! Thank you again, Stacy!

Well, it's Tuesday again and I'm blogging for TTUT! I know, I know. I'm sucking it up lately over here but I've got a lot of things going on and I'm trying to find a nice balance between all of my additions. So, just stick with me, ok? I'll be back to "normal" soon I hope! In the meantime, hook up with my gorgeous co-host, Shawn, and myself for a no-rules meme! Who doesn't love that?

So, I have a short story for this weeks post. I was out of eggs last week and decided to run into CountryMart instead of the dreaded Hellmart because it's way easier and NEVER busy. So, as I'm cruising one of the aisles {holding my nose because this store has a disgusting, dirty feet odor}, I had a little gas that needed to be released. Who doesn't on occasion, right?

Well, I let one rip and it was a little stinky but just so you know, I felt TONS better.

Just as I was about to turn the corner, a family of 4 starts down the aisle. Before I could get out of site, I hear the little boy say "Ewww Mom! That lady farted and it STINKS".

Em
Gee.

I grab the eggs, not even checking to see if any were broken, and head to the front for a speedy check out.

Well, at CountryMart, there is no such thing as a speedy check out. I got stuck waiting on the ONE cashier that was working. Guess who comes up behind me?

Guess who mentions my stinky fart for all to hear by saying"Mom--there's the lady that farted!"?

That little brat boy better watch his back.

I will leave you with a family Easter picture we took after church on Sunday. Both grandparents were at our house this weekend and even with the rain, we made it a great holiday weekend! Emma had a blast coloring eggs and finding them hiding around the house and being center of attention was just an extra bonus.

FUN FACT: We set the camera on a green ladder in my front yard so we could do a timed picture. Yes, we are white trash and PROUD.

Dirty Reading Material, Questions Answered and EGG Mail!

Hi friends! It's me! I'm here today because it's.....

.....and I NEVER miss a TTUT post! Plus, Shawn would get all pissy with me and I don't want that.

So, obviously, I've been blogging an average of once a week and only visiting you once a week too. I'M SORRY! But I have a good excuse. THIS HAPPENED:

Have you read these? Wow. That's all I can say. I'm 1/2 way through reading the 3rd and final book. I have a very eclectic taste in music and books and this has to be the dirtiest book I've EVER read and I can't put it down!!! I'm reading in ALL my free time. I kind of want to marry Christian Grey. He's got skills. Shhhh!! Don't tell M.

And guess what? Over the weekend, I was out running errands and I decided to take my kindle to do some reading in my car. WHAT? WHO DOES THAT?? I wanted to be alone and read. No husband interruptions. No Emma interruptions. No in-law interruptions {even though they drove 19 hours to come see us Emma}.

So, there is my excuse. Am I forgiven?

By they way, I heard someone bought the movie rights. I'm not sure how they can make this movie without an NC-17 rating. Girls, IT IS JUICY! And if you need to liven up your libido, this book should do the trick. I refuse to elaborate further.

Moving on....

Last Tuesday, I asked for questions. I received 3. Here are the questions and my answers.

Allstarme wants to know if I really had to choose, would I choose Gale or Peeta. I've always been Team Gale....especially after seeing the movie. DON'T YOU PEOPLE JUDGE ME!

Miss Vandy wants to know about my favorite kind of underwear. *I'm blushing here* Ok, here is a picture of my favorite sexy undies:

Oh, stop it!! I'm KIDDING! Here is my REAL favorite. In fact, I had M take a pic of me modeling a pink pair just this morning. Here is my incredibly toned, anti-cottage-cheese azz:

My incredibly generous Texas friend who mails me fun goodies, Janette, wants to know if I have a desire to cut my hair for the changing seasons. YES! BUT, I've tried this and I always HATE when I cut my hair and try to change it up. And don't get me started on color changes! SO SCARY! M likes it long, blonde and straight and his opinion is the only one that counts so now you know. Basically, I'M BORING. {But just on the outside!}

And finally....

Emma received an EGG in the mail filled with lots of goodies from my girl, Stacie! Yes people, YOU CAN MAIL EGGS! She LOVED it!!! And now she's addicted to DOTS candy. Thanks for that, Stac. But in all seriousness, thank you! That was so sweet!

I'm Smiling Because I Can--Even Though Braces Suck.

It's Tuesday which means that I co-host an AH-MAZING link party with my sassy bloggy bestie, Shawn. Are you ready to link up with us? We have no rules so why not?
This week, I'm completing my 10 Things to Smile About with Emmy Mom. Ready?
1. Having an amazing weekend ALONE {bow chica bow wow} with my hubby in Texas for the wedding of our friends Jeffica {aka Jeff and Jessica}. Thank you, Mom, for keeping Emma. You're the best!

2. Getting to see the Hunger Games midnight premiere with a couple of my IRL besties, Slush and Kiss. Gale is HOT! There. I said it. And look at the goodies that JK put together for us:

She is so creative! I love her! I didn't drink the sleep syrup or eat those cookies {yet} but a couple of people that were with me DID and they drank a lot more than these 2 bottles!
3. Playing my latest addiction, Scramble, and getting my highest score yet! BOOYAH!

4. Squeezing into a pair of Miss Me jeans that my mom got me for Christmas makes me really smile...especially since I couldn't get them over my chunky-ass thighs in December.
5. Losing close to 20 pounds since January 1 makes me smile.
6. This girl. Enough said.

7. Finding an app that counts down big events for me makes me smile too. HELLO CALIFORNIA VACAY!!!

8. Mom and Dad opened the pool last weekend. Pool parties and water volleyball will be here soon! Who doesn't wanna smile about summertime?
9. FaceTiming with Kiss while she was slightly intoxicated made me smile. I would post some funny and completely inappropriate pics of that night but she would kill me.
10. A sweet pic of BOTH of my girls cuddling on the couch makes me smile.

Weigh-In Wednesday

Happy Hump Day friends!

I'm blogging 2 days in a row! WOO HOO! Ok, so if you've been following me for a few weeks, you know that I've been on a strict diet called the Dukan Diet. {click for more information} Here are my latest statistics:

My weight as of January 1st: 177.9

My weight 2 weeks ago: 161.6

My weight today: 160.0

2 week loss: -1.6

Total weight loss: -17.9

It's been years that I've weighed in the 150's. I'm getting excited! I haven't been as strict with this diet lately as I was in the beginning. Sometimes I let myself have some chips and guacamole and once, even a Captain and diet was consumed. Shhhh!

GUESS WHAT? I bought a size 6 in a pair of shorts last week. BUT, I was wearing a size 10 for GNO on Friday so sizes are just funny. I know I can definitely wear size 8's now. I'm not too focussed on sizes so no hate mail please. I just love the way I feel right now which gives me the motivation to keep going.

SURPRISE!!!

I'm blogging today!

I know it's been a whole week since I've left you lovies any comment love. I wish I could say that I have a good excuse....like I was on vacation or I was mingling with famous people or on a drunken stupor....

...but sadly, I'm just not feeling blogger lately. WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME? I think it's my sobriety.

BUT, I did have my first Captain and Diet of the year on Friday!!!!! WOO HOO!! It was like heaven on my tongue.

My lack of blogging could be directly related with all my other addictions {WWF, Instagram, Twatter, Draw Something, Pinterest, Crackbook, and my latest favorite--Scramble}.

You know it had my BFF in it, right? I see ALL of her movies (good or bad) at the theater. Well, for GNO on Friday, me, Kiss, Slush and X-Rated headed to dinner followed by a look at this movie that managed to rake in a measly 2 million dollars opening weekend.

Soooo, it was stupid. BUT OH SO FUNNY! If you're a hippy, you'll LOVE it. Here are a few of my favorite lines that are rated R:

"Rain is the nourishment that God gives me through cloud teets".

"Think about being inside of me. Talk to your wife about it".

"I can lick your balls while I give you a bleepjob".

"I'm gonna stick it in your vag".

Yes, it was crude and I didn't even get to see Jen's "girls" like E! News promised me but I laughed my azz off until I cried at the silliness behind the lines in this movie. There may have been a look at a ginormous penis a few times.....I can not confirm or deny that though.

Kiss and I also watched 21 Jump Street this weekend {which I never watched back in the day}. Another silly but funny movie with a little sweet surprise in it for any former 21 Jump Street lovers.

As I type, I'm watching tornadoes touching down all around us so I'm gonna wrap this up quickly and head to the bathtub with M, Emma, and Lexi. Don't be jealous about the fun we're about to have. Gotta love spring and Oklahoma weather.

I met this guy at a bar last night who works at an adt dealer, and he seems really into me. I was out with my girlfriends and we hung out with him and his friends all night. He didn't leave my side all night, and every time my drink became empty he managed to replace it before anyone else had a chance to get a word in edgewise. It's nice that he was interested in me and wasn't afraid to show it, but I'm not so sure about him. He seems like a nice enough guy, but I just don't think the chemistry is there. He came off as kind of desperate, which is never good. I am going to give him a chance and go out on a date with him. I figure it can't hurt since I am single and haven't dated in a while. If it doesn't work out, neither of us has lost anything. My friends say I am being too negative about it, but it's hard to psych yourself up for a date you already think is doomed.

I Miss Being Trendy.

Ugh. Monday.

I'm not a big fan of you today. I had a sick hubby this weekend. He never left the bed. It's like the world stops when the DADDY is sick. When the MOMMY is sick, it's tough stuff and off to work he goes. I may be a little bitter. Is your hubby like this too?

Cleansing My Soul With Confessions.

It's been a long week my friends. I'm doing another old school version of JK's confessions because I'm pretty sure I'll feel better.

I confess I'm exhausted. I've had jury duty 3 days this week. My body is not used to getting up so early. I'm sleeping in and staying in my pj's for the majority of the day today. Go ahead, say something!! I don't even care! Yes I do. Don't say anything.

I confess that I helped put a child molester in prison last night. He made my skin crawl. He was 62 and he was accused of inappropriately touching his 5 year old granddaughter. I hope he gets the favor returned to him in prison. Sick bastard.

I confess that I ate a cupcake this week and it was like heaven in my mouth. I've been stressed. DON'T YOU PEOPLE JUDGE ME.

I confess that Shawn keeps saying how she's going to send me this so-called vlog of how to fold a fitted sheet because I can't and they piss me off. It's been MONTHS since I've asked her. Still no video. And now she has conveniently deleted it. Whatever, SS. I see how you work.

Weigh-In Wednesday on Tuesday.

Hi Lovies! It's Tuesday and that means that my co-host, the incredibly sexy Shawn, and I will be blogging about whatever we want because that's what our linky party is all about. And boy am I ever ready to talk!

So, do you know this book? Let's just say that yesterday wasn't a great day for me.

*I had to report for jury duty.

*Before leaving, I discovered MY WALLET WAS MISSING! I left it at the freaking movie theater Sunday!!! I had a small meltdown and a couple of panic attacks but I had on mascara so I didn't cry. {A good Samaritan returned it in and everything was still in it, including $50 in cash! Thank you SWEET BABY JESUS for good people!}

*After spending 1/2 day in court, I was told I have to report back on Wednesday. NOOOO! That's my Mother's Day Out day to get stuff done without my mini tornado by my side!!!!!!!

*After court, I continued my volunteering efforts to help a friend in dire need and it all led to a big fat migraine. Let it be known that I hate computers and new technology.

*Emma had several meltdowns yesterday. One happened during dinner with M's company. I wanted to beat dat azz but I didn't.

*I didn't even open my laptop until 11:00pm. I HATE that I didn't visit blogs. I promise to visit you!! Don't hate me!!

Technically my list is much longer, but I'm sick of rambling. Let's go to the positive portion for today's post.

I'm here to show you some pictures! As the title suggests, I'm doing a weigh-in today. I will be in freaking court on Wednesday so I won't be posting.

If you've been following me for a few weeks, you know that I've been on a strict diet called the Dukan Diet. {click for more information} Here are my latest statistics:

My weight as of January 1st: 177.9

My weight 2 weeks ago: 163.8

My weight today: 161.6

2 week loss: -2.2

Total weight loss: -16.3

I realize that the left side is almost 2 years old but I weighed almost the exact same before I started the Dukan diet. {The before pics were pre-P90X training--I only made it to week 5}. I'm amazed at the changes that I see happening.

I didn't post any views from the front because the "girls" are shy, ok? Didn't you read yesterday's post about flashing the girls during Mardi Gras? I'm sure you understand. I have men readers whom I adore and I wouldn't want to make them blush.

***I want to add that the sports bra up there is an Enell. If you worry about your girls floppin' around while working out and need them to NEVER MOVE during your run, then you need to invest. It's the best sports bra ever! I saw them on Oprah years ago. ***

Jessica and Kelly have a new meme called Make My Monday and this week, they want to know if I have a favorite recipe for entertaining. OF COURSE I DO! But it depends on what's on the menu. I used to be a dessert person, and this dessert never fails to disappoint and it's way easy.

Sopapilla Cheesecake

You will need:

2 cans crescent rolls

1 cup sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 8oz. blocks of cream cheese (softened)

Topping:

1 stick butter

1/2 cup sugar

1 TBLS cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Lay one can of crescent rolls in greased 9x13 pan, pinching rolls together to form first layer.

Mix sugar, vanilla and cream cheese in bowl. Spread cream cheese mix to make the 2nd layer.

Lay the last can of crescent rolls to make the 3rd layer, pinching together.

TOPPING: Melt butter and pour on top of 3rd layer. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top.

Bake 30-40 minutes. Your house will smell DELICIOUS!

I've never had a one night stand.--True. If I had a random "hook up", it was repeated and not just for one night. Does that make it better?
I have flashed my boobs for beads during Mardi Gras.--LIE! I have never flashed my boobs in public nor have I ever attended Mardi Gras.
I kissed a girl and I liked it.--True. My BFF, Rhonda {aka KISS} planted one on me with a little tongue back in 2003 on a beach in Florida. We were with our men but we were verrah drunk. You know, girls have really soft lips! No wonder men like kissing us!
I took naked pictures of M when we were dating and we have NO IDEA where they are now.--True. I caught him running around his moms house naked back in 2001 and I snapped a couple of pictures for fun. We developed them and put them up for safe keeping except we have NO CLUE where they are now. Whoopsie!
JennyKate and I invented a perverted blogger named Paul and we left dirty and nasty comments on our friends posts using his screen name.--True. Paul was all kinds of awesome in a creepy kind of way. I miss him. Maybe Paul should come back and leave you all perverted comments. And for your enjoyment pleasure, here is Paul. I'm sure you've seen him on here before:

HELLO? Do I still have friends? Have you been missing my comments on your blog? I took some time off. I'll be better this week. I PROMISE!

Today is an extra special Tuesday! I'm doing 3 posts in one. I'm doing my co-hosting duties with Shawn for TTUT, I'm posting about my fabulous swap package from Becky, and I'm linking up with Emmy for her 10 Things To Smile About meme. I know, I know. I'm pretty talented. I've heard that more than once.

1. Taking Emma to the Fort Worth zoo for some Mother/Daughter bonding time made me smile. She LOVED the bird exhibit. The MIL said she's sending her a parakeet. AW HELL NO. Don't worry. I set her straight.

2. Starting out a WWF game with M like this makes me REALLY smile. BRING IT ON, Mr. Smarty Pants.

3. This shirt makes me smile. It may be my first "Cali trip shopping spree" purchase. I hope I don't ruin it by spilling the Captain down the front because after 130 days of no Captain, I'm bound to get sloppy.

4. Getting on the scale yesterday to see that I LOST WEIGHT even though I totally cheated on my diet this weekend makes me smile B I G. {Read as: ate chips and guacamole, drank a skinny margarita that made me want to slap the waitress that told me " Our skinny margs are really good", Japanese hibachi minus the ice cream, and a little bit of chocolate. Don't you say shiz about it either. Aunt Flo reared her ugly head. I rest my case.}

5. My reason for cheating? GNO two nights in a row. Thanks Slush and Kiss for Friday night and Slush and the RHOK for Saturday night. You made me SMILE.

Why, YES I do LOVE my iphone camera. That flash is all kinds of AWESOME.

6. Mom and I crafted again. This time, it was to
decorate a shoebox to collect money for Relay
for Life. Send me your extra quarters! Emma
is competing!! {More on this later}

7. This picture makes me smile. Who doesn't enjoy some cinnamon butter on bread?

8. Emma talking to the ducks melted my heart and made me smile.

9. Winning $900 this month at the Hard Rock casino makes me smile. Are 2 trips in one month acceptable or should I call gamblers anonymous now?

Friday Confessions--Old School Style

It's baaaaaack! My girl, JennyKate, started a Friday Confessions meme way back in 2008 before we knew what a meme was. I finally decided to step on board in April 2009 with my own Friday Confessions. {Click HERE if you're bored and want to read it. It's kinda stupid but whatev.}

It's been a LOOOONG time since my last confession and I believe that confession is good for the soul so here we go.

I confess....

I've been a blog slacker this week. I just wasn't feeling it. The weather was GORGEOUS and I wanted to be outside with Emma. At night, I want to pin stuff on pinterest, stalk facebook, snoop through twitter and watch trash tv. Don't hate me.
Speaking of blogging, I've been a skimmer on blogs in the past. No, I'm not talking about yours, silly! If you don't capture my attention in the first 1-2 paragraphs then I'm probably going to skim. I may have blogging ADD. No hate mail please.
I listened to Vanilla Ice this week. It was an accident but once I started singing, I couldn't stop. It was terrible. Please forgive me. Can we still be friends?
It's been 56 days since I have tasted the Captain. *sigh*
I have GNO tonight with my homies and I may cheat. DON'T YOU JUDGE ME. It's a mexican restaurant. I'm weak, people!!
I ate a hamburger patty for dinner this week that I thought was from Monday. Turns out, M ate those while I was at the gym and I ate one with an unknown date of preparation. Soooo, any guesses what I did for a couple of hours on Wednesday night? Try not to be jealous.
And finally, I confess that M is not a plumber.

He broke the hot water handle last night {trying to do a minor adjustment} which made hot water shoot STRAIGHT UP and flood my bathroom and ceiling. A trip to Lowe's, several 4-letter words and 4 hours later, we now have our water turned back on and my relaxing tub dates can resume.

There is a reason why I chose this saying for the spot above my tub.

**I didn't weigh last Wednesday because I was in Texas so today's post is a 2 week span of time.**

While in Texas, I caved and ate bread. I'm so ashamed.

Saltgrass Steakhouse--bread with butter on TWO DIFFERENT DAYS because it's my fav restaurant.
Olive Garden--1 breadstick.
Texas Roadhouse-2 rolls with cinnamon butter. Have you tried that shiz? Oh Em Gee.
Jalepeno Tree--I had chips AND some fabulous kind of dip that was out of this world amazing.

And while at the post office, a lady was selling girl scout cookies. I bought 2 boxes. I did it for Emma.

STOP JUDGING ME. We were on VACATION.

So, coming home and seeing a loss on the scale Monday morning was so unexpected but I'll take it.

Skating Like a Rockstar.....Or Not.

Welcome to another edition of Talk To Us Tuesday hosted by the extremely busy supermomma, Shawn, and myself.

I want to share another embarrassing story with you today {because you can always count on me to embarrass myself for blog fodder} and I promise to keep it short ESPECIALLY if you read yesterday's crazy facebook stalker post. I'm assuming if you read it, your eyes are just now recovering. It was brutally painful and I'm sorry.

After my very first year of teaching, I wanted to do something special for my ~~annoying, ungrateful~~ adorable little ~~brats~~ 3rd graders to celebrate completing the 1st year. We decided to do a roller skating party. All the parents had to do was drop their child off and pick them up. I took care of the rest.

Now, this was back in 2002 so roller blades were all these kids had ever known. Mrs. IA had never tried on a pair of roller blades so Mrs. IA opted for the "old timer" skates {as one of my favorite students so lovingly called them}.

Who remembers these bad boys?

I got myself warmed up on the rink and before long, I was BACK IN THE GROOVE, showing off and gettin' all fancy like I did back in junior high.

As I'm making a turn, I got a little too fancy and I took the biggest fall of my adult life. I went stomach first onto the rink and slid about 500 feet {or maybe just a few feet}. I busted my chin, scraped up both knees and I felt like someone punched me in the stomach.

As a few of my students were helping me up, I caught a glimpse of some parents laughing hysterically. My first thought was HOW RUDE! It was at that moment that I realized little Tommy's dad had captured my glorious, embarrassing splatter ALL.ON.FILM.

I was all the talk around the 3rd grade floor on Monday.

Super.

I have a stalker. This very young but cute hispanic guy used to work as a janitor at my previous school. He was a nice guy. He didn't speak English very well but we joked around about my room being too messy from our science experiments or about the mud tracks from recess, blah blah blah.

When I left Texas and moved back to Oklahoma in 2008, he helped M and I pack up my files and furniture into my vehicle. He friended me on facebook shortly after.

WTH was that all about? More than 1/2 of it makes no sense what-so-ever. This was completely out of left field and disturbing.
