If I Won The Lottery…

This is actually a question I have debated about a lot, In fact Kensei and I were talking about it just last week when the powerball was at 600 million…. We didn’t win just so you know, but I still buy at least one ticket a week because if you don’t play you can’t win.

First it depends on how much I win what I would do. Let’s see current Jackpot is 50 million.

so I would take that and I divide it in half for taxes because well they will kill you in the taxes, so now I have 25 million and then I split that in half which leaves me with 12.5 million.

I put the first half into a savings account of some kind, several CDs, IRA and/or a 401K.

Then I take 1 million and pay off EVERY person I owe money too, student loans, old debt, everything. If It’s on my credit or I owe them money they will be paid off completely.

Then with whatever is left over from that million I will put it away in a bank account to spend on school.

Then I want to take 2 million and buy some land and completely build a new house from scratch…Kensei and I have discussed this plan in detail, because of his schooling in architecture he will draw up the plans, but my main requirements, a Library, ( a sliding panel in the library) a state of the art kitchen, and an indoor or outdoor swimming pool.

so now I’m down to 9 million, 1 million will go to Kensei’s education so he can finish school, 1 million to be split between friends and family

1 million for new cars, for both Kensei and myself.

and 1 million for each of us to spend on whatever we want!

and 1 million on our wedding, and honeymoon!

the rest goes into savings accounts to be used for bills, etc. later on!

What’s In My Purse???

I love watching What’s in my Purse vlogs and seeing What’s in my Purse blogs, so I decided I would do another one because I just switched out my bag! This was REALLY hard for me, if you have seen my previous What’s In my Purse Posts You can find them Here and Here, You will see I generally go for BIG bags that I can fill up with many different items that I need but don’t really need.

I bought this purse on sale at Target, I found it on the site and will link it (in several colors) but it is not at the killer sale price online, so if you want one go to the store…. I literally paid 6.99 for this bag! Here it is in the Pink, a REALLY pretty Blue, and a neutral brown. They also have it in green purple and several other colors.

Inside the Side Pocket 1 I keep just one thing, A change holder I got on sale at Gordan’s for 2.99

Then in Side Pocket 2 I keep My light up mirror, a nail polish, either top coat or actual color (this time it is a top coat) because I cannot STAND the feeling of chipped nails, and my keys are clipped along the side of the pocket.

Then I have my Perfume Pocket…. Yes I have a WHOLE pocket dedicated to perfume, I have My, My Sent bottle filled with Harvey Prince’s Skinny Chic, (I am in LOVE With Harvey Prince smells, Eau De Flirt and Hello are 2 of my other favorites) BBW Forever Red Perfume, Vicks Vapor Stick (for allergies) and BBW anti-back in Feeling Lucky which smells like Apples.

Then I have my makeup Pocket, which I guess SHOULD be called my lipstick pocket, this was also very hard for me, in my old purse I actually carried 3 filled makeup bags full of different makeup and 2 Ziploc's of lipsticks/gloss. So cutting down to a few products was painful for me.

I have from left to right, top to bottom:

Then I have the little Zipper pouch I have my Samsung Glide Cell in the pretty pink case that matches the purse, I have 3 Listerine breath strips packs, my travel floss picks my Rimmel London Match Perfection Concealer in Fair/light that I got 50% off, Rimmel London Scandaleyes in taupe which I like/don’t like and Jordana Fabuliner in Brown as well as my Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange solid perfume.

The BIG zippy pocket has a LOT more stuff. There are three little pockets inside, in each of those pockets I have my Poo-pourri, Advil, and my cold sore medicine (get WAY to many of them when I am stressed) my Glass cleaner and repair kit from Sunglass Hut, Allegra, and Dayquil and Dove 48 hour deodorant and Cortisone anti-itch stick.

Then I have my EOS Lip Balm in Watermelon, four pens, my little umbrella, and Julep Hand Cream, and Finally my little bag of Girl products, my mini change purse with my school ID and my Fossil Wallet.

5 Books Every Young Woman Should Read.

So I am a little bit late with this link up this week. Finals have been kicking my butt and I’ve got two more weeks of them left!!

The first two are some my favorites and even though they can be considered children's books, They are books that I have continually pulled out over and over again when I am having a bad day or just need something to make me happy.

Because every girl should know that they are a princess. This book shows young women that perseverance and imagination can conquer even the most desperate situations.

Honorable Mention – By the Same Author

Again adventure and finding yourself as well as believing in yourself.

Number Two I mentioned before, But Every girl needs to know that they should have someone willing to tell them As You Wish

Number three is a Jane Austin book, I would like to add Pride And Prejudice in here too.

In Sense and Sensibility there are so many Lessons a young woman should learn, but some are that sometimes it is worth the wait, and that your virtue and sticking to it can be rewarding.

Then I have three books for number 4, they are again by the same author, and if you can get past the old English then the stories are magical, at least in my opinion.

And Number Five is Arabian Nights.

Scheherazade knows her own mind and figures out a way to get what she wants while in the same process saving her kingdom and the man she loves.

Sleep Walk? Not that I know of, but I did (and do) sleep talk.. I had a tendency to confess every bad thing I did that day while I was asleep…. I got busted for so many things because of that!

2. Did you ever try to run away or sneak out of your house?

I did… I had a lot of family issues when I was in my teens, I literally ran away at least 2 times a week, every week during my 16th year.

not really as people think of them. I had books. I lived in imaginary worlds filled with the characters in my books, but I didn’t really have imaginary friends I talked to or played with.

nope

yup! I watched a lot of shows I wasn’t allowed too. I watched Hercules, Zena Warrior Princess, Jack Of All Trades, and because my dad forbid all Anime in the house I would record Sailor Moon and watch it an Inuyasha at like 2 am.

Top 3 Favorite Books Of All Time

This is SOOOOO Hard for me!!

I am going to go with 2 and count them as one because they go together first.

Because these were the first “Big Girl” Books I ever read, in the 4th and 5th grade. and Because Rhett and Scarlett’s love story is complicated and is real and has issues and needs to be worked out like a real relationship! and because I mean who DOESN’T Love this couple??

Next I have to go with Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austin.

And as for the third… I have to go with Catherine Hart’s Fire and Ice. It was one of the First Romance novels I EVER read and I LOVED it (hated the sequel) But on its own an amazing story of love and adventure.

and even though it’s top three, the classic story of the Princess Bride is also up there tied with 3rd for me,

Front Desk Guest Associate

Hello, My name is Angel and I work as a Front Desk Guest Associate at a hotel, I have worked front desk for almost 8 years now and I have learned a few things that non hotel employees might want to take a quick peek at.

First, I work a minimum of an 8 hour shift, with no lunch break, no rest break and only occasionally get to use the restroom.

I have to be sweet, smiling and happy that entire 8 plus hour shift regardless of anything that is going on in my life, or how I feel health wise. Sometimes I work 16-18 hour shifts with only a 6 hour break to go home and sleep… so if my smile is a little fake well that’s why.

Here are some things I just want to put out there as things NOT to do.

I’ve already posted a few of these such as how to handle kids, Naked males, Drunks at night, and many other things!

But here are some things that really irk me, particularly as I just saw a news show telling people to do these things!

1. I AM NOT here for you to talk down to, you can tell a lot about a person by the way the treat waiters and the front desk, yes my job is to provide service with a smile, but it is not for you to cuss me out and try to make me feel like crud.

2. Do not argue the price of the rooms with me. I am looking at my computer screen and the more you argue with me the more likely I will not budge or just tell you to go elsewhere, if you have AAA, AARP or Military ID I will give you those discounts not more, our AAA and AARP is 10% off, not 20, 30 or 50.

3. Unless you are handicap DO NOT ask for the handicap room, especially on busy nights. I don’t care if the news told you they were more spacious, they are so that people in wheelchairs can maneuverer, I hate having to tell the actual handicap guests that I don’t have an accessible room because you wanted more space.

4. DO NOT call me honey, baby, sweetie, doll, doll face, hot stuff or anything else along those lines, I am not dating you or your groupie, it is really disrespectful.

5. On that same note, do not ask me to join you in your room. I don’t want to, am not allowed to, and could honestly loose my job just because you asked me to if another guest hears and mentions it to my boss.

6. I do not under ANY circumstances need to know about your masturbatory habits. I do not need you to come up to the desk every 30 min to tell me you just finished… umm enjoying yourself, I do not need details, I do not need you to bring up your porn to the desk to try and show me. I don’t care that you are a super amazing elite member of our guest rewards program…. it makes me uncomfortable, particularly when I am the only employee in the hotel on the audit shift and is harassment.

I love my job, but some times I just don’t understand people….

My Dirty Little Secret

I have a secret, I feel like I need to share.

Do you see that thing around my waist? It’s a corset, Yup a bonified steel boned Gone With The Wind Corset

Now I definitely don’t lace down to a 18 in waist, as much as I might like too. But I do like to wear them. Most of the time I wear one under my clothes but occasionally I wear them outside of my clothes.

Why on earth would I subject myself to this “torture” We are women and have long since passed the days of wearing things like this. I has a friend say to me when she found my collection of corsets.

I wear mine for a few different reasons. I have PCOS as well as a few other things that cause me pain. I have a lot of pain in my lower abdomen as well as chronic pinched nerves and back pain. I originally got my corset because my pinched nerve was so bad I couldn’t stand up out of my bed without crying from the pain, let alone work, go to class or anything else.

Second I like the shape it gives me, with out my corset I don’t like the way I look in my work uniform for instance, with it My stomach is held inn, my waist curves in instead of bulging out, and I just think I look better.

Another reason I wear a corset is because I do have PCOS and have a problem with my weight. I wear the corset because I don’t eat as much when I have it on, not because I am not hungry, but because my stomach is compressed slightly and it causes me to eat slower and therefore realize when I am full and stop there!

I want to say right now this is NOT a sponsored post, (but hey if they want to sponsor me I’d be thrilled!) But all my corsets are off the rack corsets from one particular company. I get my Corsets from Corset Story. Particularly from their sale section. I have 4 underbust corsets and 2 overbust ones.

I signed up for Graze.com and I got a yummy box!! What is a Graze box? A Graze Box is a box that comes in the mail, you can sign up for weekly, bi-weekly, tri-weekly or monthly boxes. They cost $5.00 a box and come with 4 yummy snacks!!

I had a little mishap with my first box, they were just opening up to US customers and it got lost in the mail, but the customer service is super nice and they sent me a free replacement box. What came in my Graze box? Here I’ll show you!

It comes in a cute little brown box, that is made of recycled paper, also it comes with a little recycled paper napkin.

When you open your Graze box there are 4 little compartments with your different foods, ( you can see what’s in the box before hand on the site and rate them if you liked/didn’t like the foods,) plus a little booklet with the nutrition facts for each snack!

These were SUPER yummy Strawberry and Cranberry granola bars!

and these were good but not great. I also LOVED the Carmel and dried apples but I forgot to take a picture of them! Then you can go on the site and rate the items!

I know that I might be overreacting but I have something I need to get off my chest. My little sister Jujube went on a church retreat this past weekend. (That’s not my problem)

She had a lot of fun, but my issue is that while she was there for the weekend one night the Youth Director and one of the Chaperone parents decided that it would be “funny” to get the teens and young children to do some of the Challenges that are viral right now, The Ice challenge, the Cinnamon Challenge, The chili Challenge etc. I have a problem with this because as adults I don’t think they should be encouraging this type of behavior, let alone video taping and putting it on the internet and also they were putting the children under their care into danger KNOWINGLY!

I found out when the Youth Director Tagged Jujube in a video of the Cinnamon Challenge on Facebook. I was shocked that an adult was egging these kids on, and so I went online to the news sites and looked up the side effects that the Cinnamon Challenge has caused.

2nd degree burns to the lungs, collapsed lungs, kids on ventilators for their lives, permanent scaring of the lung tissue, just to name a few.

My sister is a runner, she runs cross country as well as track, she also plays softball and basketball and is trying to get a cross country scholarship to college. I find it disgusting that an adult would jeopardize her chances, as well as possibly taking away something she loves doing.

Oh I know my sister is a teen, she is 14 and should know better, but when a trusted adult tells you to do something, do you REALLY question it?

What REALLY makes me angry is I responded to the Facebook video, with facts and a gentle admonishment for my sister about the fact that as a runner she needs to be careful about what is placed in her lungs and the Youth Director replied with this.

“Thank you to everyone who is watching out for our kids. It's great to know that so many people care about there health and safety. No one was injured during this video and the kids learned that it was a stupid thing to do. That's two thumbs up”

This is a direct quote, NO one was injured during this video and the kids learned that it was a stupid thing to do. This makes me angry. She is not taking responsibility for her actions. I have refrained myself from commenting on Facebook because I would probably loose my cool but I want to respond with “Oh so everyone learned a lesson, that’s great, so next trip let’s give them cocaine and so they learn that drugs are bad, or how about some beers and let them drive so they learn drunk driving is bad, or maybe a pack of cigarettes so they learn not to smoke!”
