Sedna Vodka 1½oz

Raspberries 5oz

Fresh Squeezed Lemonade

Stevia 1 tsp

Preparation

In a cocktail shaker, muddle the 5 raspberries and stevia.

Pour into a highball glass with ice and add the Sedna Vodka and fresh squeezed lemonade.

Garnish with lemon and raspberries.

The Baly Haly

I was at a seminar yesterday at Baly Haly, a private golf/curling club yesterday, inside their hallowed halls.
Even in early spring their grounds are impressive, so back in the lab today to create a drink in their honour, cheers and enjoy!

Ingredients

Sedna Vodka 2oz

Orange Juice 2oz

Pineapple Juice 2oz

Lemon-Lime Soda 1oz

Preparation

Mix SednaVodka with pineapple and orange juices.

Top with lemon-lime soda and present with a wedge of lime.

Sedna Slayer

The Sedna Slayer gets its name from the way its intoxicating effects sneak up on you. It can be made in large quantities so that a large group can partake.

In order to create this sinful concoction, combine equal parts vodka, Rodrigues Apple chnapps, Amaretto almond liqueur, Rodrigues Pear Brandy, triple sec and lime juice, adding orange juice to taste.

Fair warning: If it's your first time imbibing this cocktail, take it slow to avoid ending the fun earlier than usual.

Sedna Milky Way Martini

An Out in the Milky Way martini is an outstanding way to liven up the traditional martini.

To create it, chop up a Milky Way candy bar and warm it in a microwave until melted.

Place a teaspoon of the melted candy in a chilled martini glass and add 3 oz. of chilled Sedna Vodka. Garnish the drink with plenty of chocolate shavings and enjoy with other chocolate lovers.

Sedna Lemonade

1/2 oz of blue Curacao,
2 oz. of sour mix
1/2 can lemon-lime soda, ice cold

The ingredients are poured over ice and can be garnished with a lemon, straw or even an umbrella.

This pleasing drink will tickle the tongue with its bubbly carbonation and is tremendous to enjoy with fun-loving friends.

fill shaker with ice

add vodka and apple schnapps

fill with equal parts cranberry and grapefruit juice. shake. strain into glass.

Sedna Cherry Mojito

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups lime juice (about 9
3 pounds cherries
18 ounces Sedna Vodka
1 bottle sparkling water (750 mL)

Directions

Bring sugar and 1 1/4 cups water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring until sugar has dissolved.

Remove from heat; let cool completely. (Makes about 2 cups syrup.)

Syrup can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 1 month.

Put lime juice into a medium nonreactive bowl.

Halve and pit cherries; add to lime juice.

Stir in syrup.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour (up to overnight).

Stir cherry mixture and vodka in a large serving bowl.

Fill 12 glasses with ice.

Spoon 1/2 cup cherry-vodka mixture into each glass.

Top off with sparkling water. Serve immediately.

Sedna Dreamsicle

Creamsicle Cocktail Recipe:

1.5 oz Sedna Vodka

1 oz triple sec

5 oz orange juice

2 oz creamer

Pour 1-1.5 ounces of Sedna Vodka, into a glass or cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Pour 1 ounce of triple-sec into the glass.
Pour about 3-5 ounces of orange juice.
Pour 1-2 ounce of creamer.
Stir the cocktail and serve
add a splash of soda water to give a little fizz to it.
Instead of creamer, try adding real vanilla ice cream for a some real ice cream flavor.
Throw your mixture in the blender for a Creamsicle freeze.
If you add only 2 ounces of orange juice, sift the ice and serve in a martini glass.

1. Pour 1/2 ounce each of vodka and wine into a glass (or shaker cup) filled with ice.

2. Pour 1/2 ounce of Apple Schnapps.

3. Add a splash of sweet and sour mix.

4. Add a splash of lemon juice.

5. Top off with a splash of Sprite/7up.

6. Shake generously and pour the liquid into a shooter glass.

Midnight Martini

1 oz Rodrigues Black Currant Liqueur
1 tbsp Lime Juice

Combine ingredients together in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice.

Shake well and strain into a highball glass, Garnish with a lime twist, and serve.

Cranberry Smash

Bloody Chocolate

5 ounces semisweet chocolate, finely chopped
5 ounces bittersweet chocolate, finely chopped
4 cups whole milk
1/2 cup Sedna Vodka
1/4 cup sugar
2 teaspoons red gel-paste food coloring

Directions

Bring vodka, milk and sugar to a simmer in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, about 7 minutes.

Pour over chocolate, and let stand.

When chocolate begins to melt, stir until combined.

Whisk in food coloring.

Boo-Nilla Vodka Shake

Ingredients

1 cup whole milk
1/2 litre vanilla ice cream
1/4 cup Sedna Vodka
1 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon confectioners' sugar

Directions

Blend milk, vodka and 1/4 litre ice cream in a blender until smooth.

With machine running, add remaining ice cream, one scoop at a time; blend until smooth.

Pour milkshake into six 8-ounce glasses, filling them 3/4 full.

Put cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment.

Beat on medium speed until soft peaks form.

Add confectioners' sugar. Beat until stiff peaks form.

Transfer whipped cream to a pastry bag fitted with a 1/2-inch plain top.

Pipe spiral mounds of whipped cream on top of milkshakes. Serve immediately.

Spiked Black Currant Punch

A gorgeous day here, some of the staff were at Wine Fest in St. John's last night and will be there again tonight.

But, the spirit of Halloween is strong here, especially since the building was an old hospital.

Here is a little punch recipe that would go great at that other holiday that is just around the corner.

Ingredients

6 bottles Rodrigues Black Currant Wine
8 cardamom pods
4 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg
1 1/3 cups simple syrup
7 cups Sedna Vodka
Ice cubes
Grapes, for garnish

Directions

Combine grape juice and spices in a large pot.

Bring just to a simmer, then remove from heat and let stand, covered, 20 minutes.

Strain through a fine sieve (discard solids), and chill.

To serve, combine with simple syrup and vodka.

Serve over ice in a tall glass, and garnish with grapes.

Pina Ghoulada

Yeah yeah I know I know, enough with the "bloody" drinks already!

Ingredients

Blood
- 3 tablespoons corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoons red food coloring
Drink
- 20 oz pineapple juice
- 1 can coconut cream
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup orange juice
- 10 oz Sedna Vodka

Directions

Pour the corn syrup in a shallow bowl.

Dip a toothpick into the food coloring, and stir a very small amount into the syrup to combine.

Hold a glass by the stem, dip rim into the syrup mixture, and turn glass, coating entire rim.

Turn the glass upright, allowing mixture to drip down sides. Dip the remaining glasses. Set aside.

Whisk together drink ingredients. Place 2 1/2 cups ice in a blender, and add 1 cup drink mixture.

Blend until smooth; add more pineapple juice if mixture is too thick. Repeat with remaining ice and mixture.

Carefully pour into prepared glasses; serve.

Bloody Black Currant Punch

Definitely on a vampire kick here today at the winery, what can I say, we enjoy plum brandy and rave about black currant liqueur.
1 1/4 cups Rodrigues Plum Brandy
1 cup Sedna Black Currant Liqueur
4 cups Rodrigues Black Currant Wine
1 1/2 cups cold 7 up or sprite

Stir brandy and liqueur in a large bowl.

Add wine; stir to combine.

Refrigerate until cold, about 1 hour.

Punch can be refrigerated in an airtight container up to 3 days.

Add 7 up/Sprite just before serving.

Slime Rickey

We have a twisted sense of humour, ok ok I have a twisted sense of humour here.
The inmates run the asylum as it were. Imagine a place that is run by various incarnations of the Joker, it would be enough to keep Batman awake at night.

I'm a fan of drinks that contain lime, I find it far more pleasant than drinks with lemon, which reminds me dish liquid and laundry detergent.

I'm also a Ghostbuster fan, hence SLIME!

Ingredients

2 cups seedless green grapes
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup fresh lime juice
7 cups club soda
1 cup Sedna Vodka

Freeze grapes for about one hour.

In a small saucepan, stir together sugar and lime juice; bring to a boil.

Simmer until sugar has dissolved and liquid is syrupy, about 2 minutes.

Let cool completely, 30 minutes

In a punch bowl or pitcher, stir together lime syrup, club soda, frozen grapes, Vodka.

Serve immediately.

Bloody Sangria

Ingredients

1 cup Rodrigues Plum Brandy
1 orange (ends cut off), thinly sliced
1 red apple, halved and thinly sliced
2 bottles well-chilled Rodrigues Black Currant Wine
1 cup club soda
3/4 cup fresh orange juice

Directions

In a large pitcher, stir together brandy, orange and apple slices.

Let stand 15 minutes.

Add wine, club soda, and orange juice.

Serve over ice.

Sinister Urge Cocktail

I like Rob Zombie.

His music is perfect for Halloween, dark, moody, foreboding.

Not hard to see a Black Sabbath influence, but I digress. Playing in the kitchen, I'm a fan of rimming a glass for mexican drinks, so we think, why not for Halloween, and voila, the Sinister Urge Cocktail.

Enjoy with some Rob Zombie playing in the background

Ingredients

Black sanding sugar
1 green apple, chopped
1/2 lime, cut into wedges
1 oz maple syrup
1 oz Rodrigues Apple Schnapps
2 oz Sedna Vodka
Ice
Club soda
1 thin crosswise slice green apple, for garnish
Moisten the rim of a martini glass with water.
Place sanding sugar in a saucer and dip rim of glass in sanding sugar to coat; set aside.
In a shaker, muddle together apple cubes and lime wedges.
Add syrup, apple schnapps, and vodka; fill with ice.
Cover and shake until well combined.
Strain into prepared martini glass; top with club soda.
Garnish with apple slice and serve.

Bloody Vampire Martini

October has always been my favourite time of the year, simply because that's when Halloween is. Free candy was great when you are a kid, but that was only a fringe benefit, I've always been a fan of the macabre, the dark, things that go bump in the night. And yes, I am a life long fan of Stephen King.

With that 'Salem's Lot is my favourite book of his, so let's capitalize on the vampire craze a little bit more here this morning, you know what I'm talking about, The Vampire Diaries, True Blood and with a shudder, Tweenlight, I mean Twilight.

This recipe is influenced by all that, and would be an interesting drink at a Halloween party, cheers and enjoy!

Bloody Vampire Martini

Ingredients

2 oz dry vermouth
8 oz Sedna Vodka
4 pickled baby beets pierced with a cocktail skewer

Directions:

Add vermouth and vodka with some ice in a shaker, shake vigorously.

Garnish with pierced pickled baby beets.

Cosmo Royale

Here is a little treat that we've been working on for quite sometime, finally got it right and now for your drinking pleasure the Cosmo Royale, courtesy of Sedna Vodka!

4 oz. champagne
½ oz. Cointreau
½ oz. Sedna Vodka
½ oz. cranberry juice
Orange twist for garnish

Build in a champagne glass.

Garnish with the orange twist.

Cool Heaven

this gives it a little zip from the club soda, which also helps cut down on how sweet the

Pour the first two ingredients into a Collins glass over ice.

Add cranberry juice, and stir.

Sedna Crantini

½ oz. Rodrigues Cranberry Liqueur
½ oz. lemon juice ¼ oz. simple syrup (Dissolve 1 part sugar in 1 part boiling water. Let cool.)

Build in a short glass over ice.

One question asked quite a few times here is how to incorporate the Cranberry Liqueur in a drink where it has a very unique flavour, so, I got to thinking (and a little drinking!!) and came up this one
