Well, not exactly a limbo. But getting stuck in the LCCT for 6 hrs (with 2 more hrs to go) is no child's play. Armed with 3 sachets of coffee, thomas harris' 'the silence of the lambs', and my faithful ipod, I'll probably survive.

Real happy that I have finished everything that I have planned to do. Except for knitting that is. Not going to underestimate the length of a scarf anymore. Sighs, evil Air Asia staff, not allowing me to keep my knitting needles in my carry-on.

Wonder how the next 2 weeks will be. Will try to continue posting about my trip. :)

I wonder how to start re-writing in this blog.

To be frank with any of you still bothered to read this, I have so much thoughts that have tempted me to continue updating this long-taken-for-granted page (that I don't even have the guts to call a blog).

But, here I am again. Wondering whether this will be another update until the next hiatus.

Updates, updates. I took a chance and flew back from Canada, solemnly swearing that I will just relax in the next four months, enjoying the peace and good food offered in Msia before I head back for a long, long war. This return trip wasn't planned. But, it happened. And before I knew it, it lasted for 7 months and will end in Dec.

Some 'insider' story about my sedimentary life. I should have gotten a job in Canada. But after three failed interviews along with mentally-draining finals, I was utterly dejected by the whole whirlwind of being enrolled in a co-op program. In fact, I was weighing the pros (2 yrs of working experience before I graduate and possibility of a job before then) and the cons (stress, disgustingly higher tuition fees, stress, outrageous insurance fees, stress, not having any summer holidays in my 5 years of education, stress, not having enough time to study for actuarial and financial analysis papers, stress etc.). At the point of requesting for a drop-out from the co-op to the regular program, I decided to give myself time to think.

So voila, back in Msia, all sweaty and filled with eczema due to the drastic climatic change, I ended up applying for internships and mind-bogglingly find myself attending interviews when I should have been happily sipping coconut juice whilst reading a superb novel by the beach. Scratch the coconut and beach. (I can't even think of a clean beach in Selangor, Flashback of the Bukit Perak rat urine virus. *shudders*) But you get the idea.

At an even astonishing note, I find myself working at Bausch+Lomb Share Services Center for 7 months already and would be ending my internship at the end of Nov. Aside from working from 9-6, I realized that I did not achieve much. Other than keeping up with my schedule of studying the FM and Exam P manuals, taking an online course, and slavering at the gym for almost every weekday, I still have not started with my work term report, learning my piano pieces, relearn the guitar and refresh my Japanese language studies. Oh boy...I get jittery by just the thought of it.

Still, I'm going to be optimistic about it, BELIEVING that I can accomplish all that before I return to Canada, not forgetting that I'll be away at Perth for two whole weeks. Yeap, shouldn't be a problem. I can probably squeeze in an hour of sleep every other week or so, pray harder to God so that I can have an extra day each week and somehow write my report, eat and drive to work (which by the way, is what I do sometimes. kids should not learnt this). Sigh, I foresee a tough November. But to be really optimistic, I would probably lose a few kilos killing myself with stress, and would then fit my MOM'S chosen gown for my brother's wedding in december. (she bought it when I was sitting for SPM)

One of the ironies of life is, when you think that you have nothing to do, a thousand things will pop up to grab your attention. Prioritizing is a great idea, when you can afford to casually move aside the last item in your to-do list so that you can spend 99% of your time working on the first item in that list 'and therefore, the most important thing to accomplish in my life right now'. As a greedy little tyke like me who would like to have the cake and eat it, preferably with nuts and no vanilla or cream pls, both the top items and the bottom items are equally important. While handling the accounts for Singapore, I often 'push' the people over there to revert back to me ASAP. So if I send an email asking for advice today and they don't reply me immediately, I'll send another email before I go back, another email when I reach work the next day, and this continues until I get so frustrated and call them up, or when they grudgingly give in to my demands. Sometimes I'll would, would the receipient feel like I'm one of those brats who needs INSTANT GRATIFICATION? Well, they are darn right about that. I suddenly feel sorry for Jonathan. Oh well, he got himself into this mess.

And then, I will move on to the mooshie section of this post. You know, the part where readers will blush and feel like they probably entered some private conversation, but would still thicken their skins, curious to read more.

Dear, 2 more months! To quote Haddock, Blistering Barnacles! How long has it been? The erratic, volatile skype calls (i suspect skype is a girl who reincarnated as a virtual software) that made me feel so annoyed. We were practically stuck to each other for two years aside from occasional one-month breaks when you return to Miri. You must think that I'm out of my mind, to ask that we only chat during weekends. I have my explanations. And I have written them in some letters that I have not decided whether I want to send them out yet. Thank you so much for the gifts. Opening the bag and finding each of the hidden gifts was....pure excitement and joy. More than the gifts itself, the thought of you taking the effort to get them, hide them, wrap them and send them. It's a nice feeling when you care to care so much. Thanks dear, for the surprise package, for the roses, for the meals, for the laughter, and for the company. Well, of course, since you have raised the standards, I suppose that it isn't too much for me if I expect more in the future. *winks*

As I'm studying about difficult people in PD7 Conflict Studies, it came to my realization that I am a difficult person too. I apologize for my unexpected outbursts, mood swings, unexplainable annoyance at you, and the habit of lashing all my stress on you. It must have been tough for you during my 'bad' days. Of course, I'm not going to tell you that I'll stop being all of the above, but you can have my word that I will TRY to become less of the volatile person I was before. Who knew workplace courses could be of use to relationships.

I wanted to start with my last assignment in PD7, but it's dauntingly troublesome. Difficult and long are not the right words. Troublesome is the most politically right one. Imagine, I'd rather tackle probability questions than doing that annoying assignment.

Will I be updating tomorrow?

Dear people who are probably procrastinating their assignments/studies/work,

Have you guys heard of something called the Dog Owners' Liability Act?
So apparently, this act follows 'strict liability', meaning that any plaintiff who can proof that the defendant owns the dog will be compensated in a torts case.
The gist of it is, if I walk on the street and Fugly the Rottweiler decided to take a bite of my juicy, yummy meat (for illustration purposes only), I can sue Fugly's owner, Silly and win in the court case.

So why am I telling you this?
Because when my Business Law lecturer was lecturing on this topic, he said in a fashion which was SO HILARIOUSLY FUNNY that I was jolted back to reality while being dangerously close to dozing off. Joe, my lecturer, has this apparent distaste with canines. Here are some of the quotes in that class:

Joe: Anyone here owns a dog?
*People raise hands*
Joe: HAR! SUCKS TO BE YOU! (hahahahaha)

Girl: So what happens if another dog attacks my dog?
Joe: Well ok, you can probably sue the owner for the expense needed to "REPAIR THE DOG" (omg at this stage the whole class was bursting in laughter already), then for the mental trauma which you suffered from witnessing your dog being eaten by the other....

I can't really remember exactly what else he said but honestly, it was an interesting class. Tort law is fun. So apparently, we have to protect not only visitors on our property, but also trespassers! We can't intentionally dig a big black hole and conceal it with some artificial grass and such, or place bogey-traps for our 'uninvited guests'.

Thus, I'll end this random post.

2010 so far

Hello there,

2010 SO FAR has been treating me considerably well, I guess. (*skeptical) But anyways, I'm taking Business II, Business Law, Linear Algebra, Computer Science for Scheme and Python, and Actuarial Science. The university enrolling system auto-enrolled me for the professional development course because (hopefully), I'll start my first work term in May. (people, pray that I get a job.pretty pretty please~~)

So, this is what I've learnt so far. Oh, before I get there, I better PROCLAIM my TERM RESOLUTION for Winter 2010, so that the whole world knows, and I have less chance to pretend to be amnesiac and conveniently forget about these goals.
1) Lead a healthier life this term. This includes sleeping habits, diet, and exercise (sobs).
2) Save more money.
3) Be more focused in my studies, and really give my all.
4) Find a church and have more faith in God.
5) *this is added by jonathan jong* Love Jj MORE!! (people can be so greedy sometimes, lol)

I am really trying to achieve SOME of these goals. For one, I have already checked out the university's gym and pool, so the next step would be, VISITING THE PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES CENTER! (SEMANGAT><) Also, I have been getting to bed before 12am everyday, though this is still far from the 10pm I am aiming for. Next, the money part is really easy as long as I do not eat out, for I have nothing else to spend on, I think (hmm..). In terms of the 3rd goal, I have really made the effort of finishing all the pre-class readings, and reading through the texts before going to class, and reviewing the lecture's notes and making my own after class. Hopefully I would still be able to do all these when all the assignments start to pile up. I will start searching for a good church this week whereas the last goal, no 5, is not for me to judge. :/

Till date, I have learnt the following:
1) Business II:
- basic accounting, pretty easy, but we'll cover marketing too soon enough. Oh, and the marketing project is exactly the same as what I've done in INTI. We're supposed to launch a new product and draft a marketing plan for the product. WOOHOO!
2) Business Law:
- super awesome stuffs. Tis' true that the facts about procedures, law terms and the sort could be a bore at most times, but, and this is a big BUT, the lecturer (who is a full-time lawyer and a part-time lecturer) is really terrific! He knows the goods and makes the 2hr class so much interesting, especially by sharing his own experience with clients and narrating true cases. Thumbs up for this course X)
3) Computer Science:
After taking CS135 last term, I should be going on to CS136 like Jonathan, BUT, i totally abhor this course so I took the easier option (yea i chickened out, SO? SUE ME. BLEK!) and chose to take CS116 this term. It's obvious that the 1 in 116 is lower than the 3 in 136, so basically 115 & 116 are for 'normal' people like me whereas 135 & 136 are for 'crazy ass' people like jonathan jong. HOHOHO~ But honestly, after taking cs135, the start of CS116 is a breeze since the everything that is taught has already been covered in cs135, so, I should be happy? That remains a question unsolved. :/
4) Linear Algebra:
The lecturer is surreal, as in totally bonkers and nuts! He is so HYPED every second of the class! He does this little bounce whenever he's stressing on a point, and for every monday and wed class, he'll start with a 'joke of the day~'. The last 2 were:

"There are 10 types of mathematicians. One who knows binary. And one who doesn't." harhar
"There are 3 types of mathematicians. One who knows how to count. And one who doesn't." :/

On Fridays though, he will start with a parody and the last one involves cereal and serial-killers. Go figure. Still, he really lightens up the class with his hatred towards literature and PASSION towards math. The course, according to him, is really tough for it involves a lot of proofing, (which by the way, is no easy task) and a lot of thinking. He encourages us to just sit down and think all day. HMMM~ But till now, he has been covering topics which I have already learnt, either in SPM or Calculus 3. So I can only say, wait and see, wait and see...
Oh, he taught us how to imagine in 4 dimensions. So apparently, you use the analogy of drawing a 3D cuboid on the blackboard. In reality, it's a 2D graph, but your brain automatically registers it as a 3D object. Likewise, do this with a 4D cuboid connected with 16 more points and you'll get your 4D object. ...Can't imagine it?? SERIOUSLY? Try harder. NO?
HA! I was just pulling your leg. Apparently, although what I've said earlier wasn't bull talk, but our brains CANNOT imagine anything beyond the 3rd dimension. The prof CLAIMS that he had made an actual model of a 4D object when he was young, and sat there looking at the model the whole day. And for just 1 sec, HE SAW IT, BUT his brain immediately rejects that thought. X)
5) Actuarial Science:
3 words. Formulas. Formulas. Formulas. Formulas. Wait, did I say 3? lol Basically we're calculating interest, their functions and such. Nothing interesting. YET.

Finished! I'll let you in a secret here. I took 4 days to finish this post. Sighs. Talk about procrastinating.
Life has been good. I managed to read some books. Watch some good movies (eg: The Blind Side, An Education, It's Complicated). Starting to get some exercise, since the weather's getting warmer (it's still below 0 though). Oh there's a dinner with the malaysians this weekend at an apparently awesome chinese restaurant. Should I go? Hmm...

Think I'll stop here.

This is bad naughty me blogging in class.
Well not actually, we're having a 5 min 'coffee-break' (i miss nescafe regular by the way, big hints to those back in msia~)
CS116 is really not that challenging after taking C135. I feel like I'm back-tracking haha, with Jon going to CS136 and me going back. Oh well, I suk. Makes me really terrible because it kinda reinforces the fact that girls are computer-noobs. BUT, it just shows how nerdy guys are. MUAHAHAHA~

Went to Chinatown to look around. Took the streetcar there from the subway. FIRST TIME ON THE STREETCAR. woohoo~ On a serious note, I don't think I would dare to step out of my house without Jon. All those but stops, bus numbers, trains, streetcars and time schedules to remember! ARGH~ So, thank you la dear for bringing me out and researching on all the frustrating timetables. :)

We went to a Chinese grocery market where I found Old Town Kopitiam Teh Tarik!!
We also went to this Chinese Dim Sum place which had great reviews online for being cheap and yumylicious. The funny thing is, you have to pay the exact amount in dollars and cents if you don't want to be ripped off here. They don't return you any change at all! Since we didn't have much of an appetite, we kinda da bao a lot of the food for dinner. Like usual. Haha, we kinda do that everday during this trip.

Another dim sum entry. Haha I really missed it and when I searched for good food in Mississauga, I was amazed to see so many good dim sum available. The food in this restaurant was really cheap and not bad in terms of taste. The service was appalling though, with the waiters' stuck up attitudes.

mah sesame balls!! i have no idea y i insist on ordering this when i don't really like the sweet fillings. maybe it's the fact that dim sum doesn't feel like dim sum without sesame balls. You get me? Hmm..perhaps not..oh well~

Went to an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant on Christmas! Yes, searched it online too and it had good reviews. There was a surcharge if we wasted any food and we weren't allowed to da pao (shucks) but clever ole me managed to stuff the food into tissues (yueck i know, but it's good food and MY PRECIOUS MOOLAH!)

Further research online brought me to Guru Lukshmi. INDIAN FOOD. We went there during Christmas for dinner. We stepped into the crammed restaurant and VOILA, we saw black and pairs of white eyes O.O staring at us! It was packed with Indians and we looked like yellow chicken in a coop of black turkeys. HAHA~ The waiters were all so friendly and nice to us foreign chickens though.

Went to Eaton Center, something like what Mid Valley is to us KL people. Ate at this restaurant (with good reviews too but was something I wud label as the fine-dining, but since it was Jon's treat..muahahaha..) This building below was next to the shopping center which really contrasted a lot in its architecture with the modern shopping center. We were extremely curious what it was. Hmm, maybe we should check it out during the next visit.

guys, i sooo really wanna update my blog.

but. And this is a big BUT, i've been too busy these days running around, catching buses, catching the subway trains, catching the streetcars, and catching on some rest & sleep that I really really have no time to do anything. Well, actually I have some time, but there isn't any router here so only one person can connect to the internet X(.

Anyways, I've watched both the blind side and sherlock holmes & both are awesome! Still, i'm not too thrilled with the way they portrayed sherlock, quite different from what was described in the book.

Will post more photos asap. Need to watch house and sleepie sleep. Lights off.

yo!

EXAMS ARE OFFICIALLY OVERRR!!! well actually they were yesterday but i was too buseh cleaning up my room, lazing around, packing up (we poor minions are thrown out from the on-campus residences during term breaks) , lazing around, reading the early & totally unexpected Christmas gifts from dear ole jon~~ (i loveeee both norah roberts, & even tho i couldn't connect with Remember Me by Sophie kinsella, i still appreciate the fact that u went thru all the reviews to get me such awesome books!! much loves!!<3)>

Sooo, I'm here in Mississauga which is like half an hour from Toronto, bunking at Jon's sister's place. Jon & I had absolutely no idea about the directions but we somehow managed to reach here alive after 1 long-distance bus ride, a half an hour bus ride in Mississauga itself, and a 15 minutes walk in the middle of nowhere. Which reminds me, do you guys know that the sun sets here at 4 something??? WTF RIGHT? SO DAMN EARLY!! So I always think it's still early even though outside is already dark, until I only notice it is already 4am. T.T YA EVIL CONMAN!!!

Back to story, i'm here until the 3rd of Jan when all hell breaks loose and the winter term begins...ARGHHHH!! Imagine going to school every day with 15 inches snow under your feet!! Cannot ride my poor lonely bike for another 4 months boo X(.

Guess what I'll be doing here? EATING & SHOPPING OF COURSE!! MUAHAHAHAHA~~

I did 'some' research, and realized there's some good dim sum & sushi AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, indian THOSAI (dosa here) here in mississauga. Also, I'll be travelling to Toronto to visit Chinatown where MORE FOOD is available, and Eaton Center amongst other places to shop, shop, SHOPPP!! My dear, you really have to work to bones to afford a shopaholic gf like mua, poor u XC. *with fake pitiful eyes* *EVIL LAUGH*

Now, WHAT ELSE IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN......CHRISTMASSSSS?
Tis' the festive season peeps!! Christmas carols are played everywhere, people are busy buying gifts for their loved ones, houses are decorated with colourful blinding lighting and decors - and best of all, i'm celebrating the 1st christmas with my bf! weebooo~ He went back to Swak last year so we didn't get to celebrate together X(.

I bought him a......HAR not gonna tell u until it reaches my mail box. SIGHS. I bought it from Amazon but it's gonna reach after the 25th, and i won't be able get it until i get back to my apartment!!! SAD. SORRY DEAR. BOOHOO. You already gave me a few 'gadgets' *ladadada*, and books, and all i can give u is an extremely belated gift. I PHAIL! I don't care that you don't mind as long as i accompany you during the festive season, i take it P.E.R.S.O.N.A.L.L.Y.. GRR.

I'm still updating!! Feel so proud of myself that i can die happy, wtf.

Anyways, here's the promised post about the thai dinner me & jon attended with the other malaysian on last saturday.

It was an 'End of Term Makan Session' so of course, even when i have 2 unfinished assignments and 2 untouched presentations to complete over the weekend, DIE DIE ALSO MUST ATTEND OKAY~ (cmon, it's f.o.o.d.-fantastic orgasmic overwhelmingly delicious delicacies, wait, that's no correct, oh well :/)

So being the vain and shallow person i am, i decided to 'prettify' myself for this event. Yes, Phei Yee, dinner also must dress up. I've been here for so long, but i've attended only the casino party, aside from that, i have absolute NO CHANCE to wear any nice clothings :(.
(basic school apparel: tshirt, jacket, coat, jeans + gloves & scarf = BORING~)

ANYWAYS, we both cycled to the bus station at Davis Center (explaining the location of this place is absolutely meaningless unless you're interested in attending the U of Waterloo, if so i'd be EXTREMELY willing to educate you on the subject), and met up with the rest of the gang. By the way, i was wearing a dress & boots with heels, imagine the difficulties faced when cycling >.< I WANT SPICY CURRY!! They didn't order enough veg for me :(, everything was meat, meat & MEAT! SO, i secretly told jon to tapao something called padthai because i was rly hungreee~ He himself wasn't full either so he tapao-ed pineapple fried rice. (damn, we look like greedy piggies, GRR~) OH, we had mango rice for dessert! To be honest, i didn't quite like it, the mango wasn't ripe and the rice was, well, not what i'd expected. SAD X(

THEN WE BROUGHT OUR TAPAO-ED FOOD AND HAPPILY WENT BACK. END OF STORY.

NEXT, english presentation!
Woke up at 7 yesterday morning to prepare. Overall, i thought our group did an awesome job. I was a little worried because this guy in my group, Waley, tends to make hip-hop gestures when he's presenting, thank gudness he left his 'groove' at home. One group even went overtime by 5 mins! Sad la that one, the last person in the group didn't finish his part. Include some pictas which i took when my group was done with.

THEN, i went to get my doctor's appointment done at the health center. The health center damn syok, it's located above a lake, so from the sofas at the waiting corner, you can see ducks paddling about. VERY SCENIC~ Some background info: I took the mandatory Tuberculosis test and was tested positive. They inject some toxic evil liquid into your skin & check for bumps. 'Normal, negative' people have no bumps or bumps less than 9mm in diameter. Mine was an EFFING 18MM. SIGHS~ I actually had a TB test in Msia when i applied for my visa, and was tested negative. Bro says it's because i was too close to him before i left for canada and somehow the antibodies were transmitted from him to me. SAD AGAIN X(

Back to the story, so i had my xray scanned and i was supposed to meet with a doctor who will go over the results of the xray with me. OH RANDOM FACT: the health center offers free condoms. Interesting info for anyone who wants to travel a gazillion miles from msia for free birth control. *winks* As expected, the xray showed that i was negative for TB BUT, the doctor said that i must either have an xray scan of my lungs annually, or, take some antibiotic pills for 6 months. Initially, i was very keen on taking the pills, but after texting jon & asking him bout his opinion, he strongly asked me to consult my bros before making any decision. THANK GOD FOR THAT, my bro said that the antibiotics were just a mixture of TOXIC, DANGEROUS, SIDE EFFECTS INDUCING good-for-nothing meds (or in other words, EVIL PILLS) & advised me to go with the annual xray option.

Well, that's that. Plenty of drama for a day. And ended it with super delicious strawberry ice-cream from the cremary opposite my apartment. (to jon: i know i said it tasted buttery & eww-y, but after taking a few licks, it wasn't bad XD)

wth, damn random. Anyways,
studying for statistics is a real bore, especially when one didn't attend a single lecture since who-knows-when. :( My lecturer sucks btw, I didn't get to enroll into the main lecturer because the class was already full. Boohoo.

People whom I used to be really close with are really getting further and further apart from me. SIGH.

Rode my bike for the 1st time today. Was raining and i had my hoodie on so when i need to turn back to check for cars, i had only 20% of my vision because the hoodie was covering 3 quarters of my eyes. Lucky to be still here typing to you guys. Hehe. The experience altogether was not too bad, just that the pedestrians were really trying their best to block the sidewalks. :/ Wait, i was one of them too. Hmm...

Cooked bak kut teh for housemates and jonathan (i'll call him jon from now even though he doesn't like it, blek dear). Jon and i thought that it was bland. sigh.

Gotta study business now but i'm procrastinating.

I wanna go out to shop or exercise! Someone help me finish all my work.

It's been 3 months + since i've been in the LOO. I'm 3 months older. great~ :(

It's 2.26am and I'm pissed, very very PISSED.

My business class team members are a whole bunch of hateful people. I have never ever felt so terribly angry towards anyone before. So this is the story:

We have this strategy report due tomorrow (technically, it's today) and we had a late start. So, knowing that I will be extremely busy during the dateline period, I started the research on my own (with Jonathan's help) and laid out all the essential points into a word document and sent it to them. In the e-mail, I also stated that I wanted to start doing the most difficult sections first so the other easier sections will be their responsibility. Hoping for an instant reply, which they normally would give judging by the previous assignment, (which btw, went pretty smoothly, hence, I am totally flabbergasted with their attitudes right now), I waited but no reply ever reached me.

Hence, we met up yesterday night and to my surprise, or should I say not to my surprise, none of them even looked at the word document. Whatever 'research' they have done was bullocks, for they just copied some information from the company's website (our report is basically a swot analysis which is supposed to be easy). Also, I gave them a printout of my word document but they just set it aside without even glancing through! To make matters worse, none of them had any idea about what the assignment asks for!!!! This girl keeps wanting to add unnecessary information when our number of pages is extremely limited. Also, there is this guy who is really the definition of pain-in-the-arse. He kept mocking me by laughing at everything I have said like I'm talking nonsense. Even the girl (let's call her N) said that he was being mean. Anyways, it wasn't a big deal for me but both pain-in-the-arse and another guy (S) were busy talking nonsense and surfing you-tube. The last member of the team is this clueless english major girl (J) who was absent in almost all of our meetings and till now, is completely clueless about our current assignment.
The meeting ended and we all agreed with our responsibilities. I volunteered to do the swot analysis but girl N insisted that she and girl J would finish both the swot analysis and the strategy analysis. I was like, okay, so I would write on the executive summary and the company's strategy then.

Just now, when we had another meeting, the swot analysis was incomplete AND the strategy analysis was untouched. So, in the process of the meeting, girl N finished the swot analysis and since we couldn't stay at that place (J's apartment) for long cuz she has some partying to do (wtf right) we had to leave in less than 2 hrs. I then suggest that pain-in-the-arse and S to finish half of the strategy analysis while girl N do the other half. I wanted to do the conclusion but no, girl N INSISTED that she does the conclusion too. Wanting to trust her for once, I agreed. So, my job was to help Jonathan to do the in-text citations and referencing. Before we leave, we ALL AGREED that everyone would send their work to me and jonathan so we could complete the referencing and formatting.

HOWEVER, after waiting until 12am, I did not receive anything from anyone. So, I called girl N first and she said: why not we both do the half of the strategy analysis and compare? To tired to argue, I agreed and finished at 1. At the same time, I called S to ask about his progress. INTERESTINGLY enough, he said he had finished and sent his part to pain-in-the-arse who will then join their parts together. Earlier on, I have contacted pain-in-the-arse and told him specifically to send me the document so that I can cite it. MORE INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH, when I contacted girl N to ask her whether to do the conclusion or not cuz I had a feeling she's not doing anything, telling her I'm just waiting for pain-in-the-arse to send me his completed work, she told me that he had already SENT IT TO HER!

I was rly utterly speechless at that point. It did not make ANY sense at all to me. It still doesn't. SIGH. To make the long story short, jonathan and i sent the incomplete document to girl N who claims that she will add the work from pain-in-the-arse and guy S, and her conclusion herself and hand it in today. Oh, I forgot to mention, my business class is in another university down the street and these guys are all from that university. Since Jonathan and I have class tomorrow, we can't hand the assignment in. So we HAVE to depend on either one of them.

I have no idea how she's gonna achieve consistent formatting when so much is involved. Page numberings, reference numberings, font styles....and she's a tech-noob.

I'm missing a lot minor details about these guys but that's the big picture. I still can't fathom how these guys are thinking!! By slowing me and jonathan down, none of us would benefit! I really really am stunned and angry right now, but after writing this, I'm just amazed by these people.

BIG SIGH. Going off to bed.

I pray that none of you guys will meet such people as group members.

X) HELLO WORLD
This is what I do when I'm procrastinating instead of studying for my Algebra exam which is oh-so-happening tonight OR my English draft report due tomorrow OR my Business report due this Thursday. NO SIRREE~

Anyways, for all of you guys who so happen to be interested (pa kua) about what's going in my life, here's a ~~brief~~ summary of my past 3 months over here in Waterloo, Canada. (IT'S 3 FREAKING MONTHS ALREADY??!!!)

I'm majoring in Math/Financial Analysis & Risk Management, which is some kinda act sci mutated program. I'm also under something called a Co-op program which basically means that I don't have breaks or holidays during summer. On the contrary, I'm forced to slave for a company which grudgingly accepts me after I impress them with my ignorance in an interview next Winter (Jan-April). To graduate under the all blessings of God and all the combined powers of my guardian angels and lucky stars, ~~and witchcraft~~, I NEED to successfully pass all my courses and receive approval by all my employees. It's gonna take a miracle so I'm already starting to prepare a collection of potions and spells. (Missing a frog, anyone has one?)

This term, I'll be staying on-campus which is kinda misleading because my apartment is OUTSIDE the school compound, coincidentally encircled by a road appropriately named "Ring Road". I HEART MY APARTMENT AND ROOM TO DEATH. It is the bestest bestest best room in the world. Too bad I'm gonna part with it when I begin work next spring (May-Aug). I'm cooking btw, and so far, I've gotta admit, I'm a pretty good cook! WONDERS OF ALL WONDERS! So far I've cooked fried rice, black pepper chicken, beef, fried noodles, wet noodles, bacon and scrambled eggs, bak kut teh, though these were all eaten by Jonathan who claims that they are all awesome so I'm not sure whether he's biased or not:/ (hmm..). Didn't really taste them cuz I prefer eating my veggies :).

I'm taking english, algebra, statistics, computer science and business this term and oh am gee, the stress and the workload is fuhreeking HUGEEE!! This is what I get for entering a kiasu chinese dominated university. SIGH~ I think i slept less than 4 hrs yesterday night finishing my programming work for CS due tomorrow. Which reminds me, to those CS ~~nerds~~ programmers out there who lurves programming, U GUYS ARE UN-FREAKING-BELIEVABLE. I hate CS. It's Crazy Shit to me.

Been pretty busy these days making me room as homey as possible & shopping for all the necessary furniture, appliances & FOOD!! Srsly, I'm enjoying the whole process of taking buses to different malls, comparing the prices at different supermarkets, oogling at tempting foods which are too luxurious for me to buy, learning new things about the people here & their culture...but most of all, SHOPPING RAWKS!!! It's really fun, but at the end of the day, when I'm updating my accounts, my super smiley XD face will go X(..BOOHOO~

Hello ppl, Sigh, it's been a looongg time since the last post eh? Told ya that i'm lazy good-for-nuthing bum. As I had promised, here're some long-winded updates if you care to read =).

THE JOURNEY
Anyways, just wanna report that I'm safe & sound in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. X) I left KLIA on the 28th & transited at Seoul & Atlanta before reaching the Toronto Airport in Canada. So my 1st flight from KL to Seoul was just a coach flight which I have nothing much to say about. However, my 2nd flight from Seoul to Atlanta, which btw was the longest flight (13+ hrs), was a business class flight & boy, I enjoyed that flight tremendously!! The whole experience started from the airport. We had 4 hrs or so to burn in the Seoul airport before our next flight departs so we went into this VIP lounge for Premiere tickets holders where there were comfy couches & a mini buffet for all you can eat & drink. I had loads of cashews there!! They were meant to go with the cereal but who cares about cereal when u can have cashews!! SRSLY! Ahem, back to the topic, my experience on the airplane was thoroughly enjoyable too. The seatings we had could be lowered till 150 degrees so I could sleep comfortably without stressing my back. The food they served us was excellent! I felt soo pampered on the flight that when I took the flight from Atlanta to Toronto, I was a little put off by the treatment I was given. Haha, talk bout being a spoilt brat! In Atlanta, my biggest fears were: my luggage got misplaced somewhere along the way from msia, i was detained at the customs for bringing bak kut teh sachets into America or my student visa cannot be approved. After being a worry-wart for so long, everything turned out to be perfectly all right. My luggage appeared immediately just as I was walking towards the retrieval area. The officers let me through without checking my luggage. My student visa was approved & even extended for fear that my co-op work might detain me in Canada for a longer period. Thank God for everything man. Then, in Toronto, me & Jonathan stayed overnight in the Toronto Airport cafeteria before leaving for a friend's place the next morning where we planned to stay before the 4th when our apartments are available for us to move in.
THE LOO
Before leaving for Canada, I had already arranged with this friend (who shall remain anonymous) to stay at her place for a few days. She had agreed on it & sounded enthusiastic to meet us. So on that morning, we reached her place exactly on time (thanks to my awesome planning *winks*). To our dismay, no amount of door knocks could bring any response to the front door (or the back door, not that i didnt try:/). I even called her up at the nearby petrol station but was only answered by her voicemail (which can't record anymore msgs as it's already full wth). Realizing that standing there when the wind was so chilly wouldn't be a great idea, we decided to drag our 4 big luggage, 2 hand luggage & 2 huge ass backpacks to the university which was a 20 min walk from where we were. Just when we figured out how to handle all the luggage with only 4 hands, 2 guys in a truck stopped next to us & offered to give us a ride. I AM SO GRATEFUL TO BOTH OF YOU!! They were EXTREMELY nice. Due to the fact that none of us knew where the Student Life Center(SLC) in the university is, we got lost more than a couple of times. Still, they were patient enough to ask some pedestrians & eventually drove us there. Thank God again for those 2. After reaching the SLC, I went to ask for some temporary residences & managed to find 2 rooms available in the Convention Center in Ron Edyt Village (REV). PHEW! These rooms actually require pre-booking for many people rent rooms here during summer break. THANK GOD AGAIN. Then comes the not-so-fun part. REV was a 15 min walk from the SLC. Remember our 4 huge luggage, 2 hand luggage & 2 backpacks?? SIGH. Long story short, we took 2 journeys to move all our luggage.

THE FOOD
OMIGOSH, the bread here is AWESOME!! haha, cuz they let me pick my choice of veg & sauces & everything's super fresh X). We had Subway on the 1st day in University Shops Plaza (after hauling the luggage) cuz it's the safest choice. OH AND THE COOKIES! I ALMOST MELTED WHEN TAKING MY 1ST BITE OF THE WHITE CHOCOLATE MACADAMIA COOKIE. I've never been a fan of cookies & it was Jon's Subway set which includes the cookies, so when I saw the look of pure pleasure on his face when eating his chocolate cookie, I was stole a bite of his 2nd cookie. SRSLY IT WAS DAMN GOOD. The University Shops Plaza is a 25 min walk from REV but just a mere 5 min walk from UW Place - the apartment-style residence where I will be staying at for 8 months. There are all sorts of food stuffs over there: bread, burgers (their burgers are sinfully good too btw), chinese, korean, ice cream, indian, mexican, pizzas... Their meals are all big in portion & they are certainly not stingy in adding ingredients. For example, their smallest pizza is 9-inches in size. So this is what Jon & I do everyday. We'll walk to the plaza & grab lunch. We'll eat half of it & save the rest for dinner.

I went to Toronto the other day & visited Walmart (their version of Giant) & Joe's No Frills (some sorta food mart). They sell Maggi's Chilli sauce & Milo!! I'm favouring their Hot Sauce though, it's not so sweet & spicier compared to maggi's. Oh, & their escalators in Walmart is super cool! They don't have those sliding escalators for trolleys like Msia, instead, they have some special lane for trolleys in the middle of the downwards & upwards escalators. The trolley will be attached to the middle lane & travel down just like us! Sheesh, words can't explain this, I'll remember to take a pic of it the next time I visit the mart again.

THE ERRANDS WHICH KEPT ME OH-SO BUSY
I had so many things to settle once I reach the uni. Retrieve my student id card, get my phone plan, pay my school fees, open a local bank account, confirm my early check in status (students can only move into residence on the 6th when me & Jon applied for early arrival on the 4th) blablabla... Oh, something i really need to say. The people here aren't very tall or large at all!! The girls are slightly taller, I'd give them that, but not towering like Raymond!!! (haha sry dude)

THE WEATHER & THE LOO ENVIRONMENT
Oh by now you guys should realize that i call the uni Loo. Haha it's just that Waterloo reminds me of the washrooms, water + loo = TOILET! Anyways, it's just an affectionate way of calling, cuz waterloo is just too long *grins*. OKAY, the weather, hmm, i really cannot understand how the weather works here. During the 1st 2 days here, it was soo cold, the wind was soo chilly, it sent shivers down my spine & I had the luck of getting a nasty cold & cough due to it & lack of water! (PLS DO NOT TELL MY MOM ABOUT ME GETTING SICK! REPEAT. DO NOT TELL HER!!!) These few days though, I can go out wearing just my tee & pants. The sun is blazing hot, & the rays seem to pierce through my skin! HOT!! The paths on campus are filled with ducks, squirrels & white butterflies. Everything seems to be so scenic over here until you realize that you have just stepped into duck poo. SQUELCH~~ EWWWW~~~ Hmm..that should be all for now. I have to pack my luggage cuz I need to check out tomorrow morning at 9am. YAY i get to move
into my apartment tomorrow!! This room is nice & all but i feel so restless inside because I can't unpack my belongings or clean up the place.

Guys sorry for the late posting, but..haha things haven't been so great ever since the start of this new year.

2 days before ny, i dropped the new netbook my big bro got me on the road and now it's scarred really badly on the base. HUGE SIGH.

A day before ny, the huge-ass lock of my door's gate 'bounced' off the sofa and landed on my little toe. Needless to say, it was a helluva experience and my toenail now has the colour of gothic black nail polish. (do you think i should paint every nail black to merge nicely?)

On New Year's Day, my precious doggie went missing. The fireworks from the previous night of celebrations must have scared the wits outta him. I'm not in the mood of talking about it so please DO.NOT.MENTION.ANYTHING.PLEASE.

The next day, mom and i went out for some retail therapy to comfort ourselves with clothes and good food. Mom always wanted to try out the food at Dome but i thought it was a waste of $$. (i still do...all the more~!) Anyways, considering the "occasion", i figured it would not kill me to waste $$ on food for once. The consequences of such rash thinking was, a serious case of food poisoning on the very night. For the first time that i can remember, i had high fever for 2 days straight!!! Brr...wasn't a pleasant memory to recall so i'll let it rest.

2 days after ny, the fever was still going strong. Mom gave me 2 choices, one was to see the doctor and the 2nd was eat charcoal. T.T What choice did i have left? And as i sat with a very bloated face in the waiting room, my fever was finally having signs of abating. The very next thing that happened was, i started scratching all over my body like a mad hyena. Soon enough, i started having patches of hives all over my legs and hands. Sighs, the doctor diagnosed me of having a full-blown allergy. Just 2 days away from the 1st day of college and THIS! I could barely open my eyes and the red patches on my body was freaking myself out. However, thanks to the anti-histamine pills and steroid cream the doc gave me, i was bouncy and healthy again Sunday night. PHEW...

I guess everything's ok with college. The teachers are pretty 'normal' and i like my calculus lecturer. Haha, speed is always a positive pointer in my book. Will blog more about studies on a later date.

Going to Penang later in the evening and sit for my TOEFL test tomorrow. Wish me luck guys!!

Due to not receiving the pictures promised by the ppl involved, i am going to delay blogging about Christmas eve party, Christmas party, new year eve party, 2nd bro's holiday with us, cousin sis's farewell party and the sport's event at upm that i went to.

Now don't get too ahead of yourself by the title!! Note that i used the word masseuse instead of masseur!

After a grueling hour of boxing at the gym last Friday, mom & i decided to visit all my relatives at Kota Kemuning (yes, ALL, all of them stay there, pretty convenient eh?). However, after meeting up with just one aunt, we ended up spending the whole day with her along with her 2 girlfriends at the new & trendy neighbourhood beauty square. The concept of Herbaline Beauty Square is, to encompass all things related to female pampering into an enclosed building. At this moment, it already has its beauty center where one can enjoy facial spas, fish reflexology treatments & body massage sessions. Also, there is a hair saloon, a nail art gallery, a yoga center & jap-style rooms for meditation purposes. The whole square was designed by an award-winning architect; every room, every area of the square is meticulously planned out to fit the square's concept as a beauty & relaxation center. The use of Zen decors is very eminent & one can find lush greenery almost everywhere. Artificial waterfalls, pebbles & bamboos added to the touch of the place. We girls went to the cafe in the square to have some foodies while chit-chatting. Albeit the fact that all 4 of them are 'aunties' & i was the only 'teen' there, i actually had quite an enjoyable time! We somehow managed to find some common topics to ramble about. After hearing about the massage center, mom & i decided to give it a try so we made an appointment for the very next day.

On the appointed day, i was having 2nd thoughts about the massage session. I agreed to give the facial spa a try but the massage was making feel a little queasy. However, mom practically barged me into it for she wanted me to accompany her. We were given a complimentary fish reflexology session so yes, i tried for the very 1st time, the infamous fish spa! The fishes were incredibly plump! Yes plump! Haha i never thought that i'd use that word to describe a fish but it's true. I guess dead human keratin is THAT nutritious. They were very VERY ticklish. Some even bit me up to my ankles! As you can imagine, i was giggling all the way through like a mad hatter whereas mum was surprisingly calm about it. (initially she was shrieking & gasping before dipping her legs into the pool)

Then, we were brought into another room where 2 pretty Myanmarese were waiting for us. OH, the way they treated & pampered us! Like princesses i swear!! We were told to strip everything off & clad on just a pair of disposable underwear. Then, we wrapped ourselves (clumsily) in a piece of beautiful sarong & lay on the beds waiting to be squeezed & kneaded. Just seconds after the massage session started, it dawned upon me that the sarong was meant to be just a blanket so the masseuse was gonna do it skin-to-skin on me!! Alrite, you'd probably say: 'err, how else did you imagine she'll do it?' But it really never occurred to me that i'll be THAT exposed!! So, honestly, the whole session was plain torture to me. Haha, i felt so violated & self-conscious that my whole body tensed up throughout the whole one & a half hours. Sighs, i walked out of the room feeling more stressed up.

After that, we were wrapped up again with the sarong, properly this time, by the masseuses (i learnt how to use a sarong!!) & were led to yet another room for the facial spa. It was even more agonizing than the massage!! At first, it was pretty relaxing, with the soothing aroma & the head massage deftly performed by the therapist. In fact, it was SOO relaxing, i felt like dozing off anytime, which is VERY TIRESOME FOR ME!!! You see, i cannot sleep in public! I just can't, especially with someone looking directly down at me!! So i had to struggle & fight off the urge to enter lalaland for one & a half hours. I was actually very relieved when we proceeded to the stage of squeezing all impurities (blackheads,pimples..) outta my face. I know that it's the most painful part of all facials but i actually don't mind the pain as it keeps me awake. (this should remind u that i'm a freakish psychoXD) I didn't really like the therapist's attitude. She was quite rough & negligent at the end of the treatment, as if she was impatient to bring the whole session to an end.

What a mess i was when i went outside to the reception area after changing back into my original attire. I was soo pale & tensed that my mom actually asked whether i fell down or something. Haha. Seriously, massages are not my thing. Its too....stressful. I'd prefer a strenuous workout at the gym & a few minutes at the sauna bath as a means to relax anytime. Until now i'm still a little stoned & shell-shocked from the experience while mom felt like she had the time of her life. Lol, apparently i'm too close-minded compared to mommie. I just do not like to be touched! Sheesh...now i feel like i have another 'issue' to deal with.

Anyways on our way to the cafe at the corner for lunch, we passed by the saloon. I was very interested to give it a try seeing that there were so many customers visiting it on that day & the day before when we were there with my aunt. So i went in to make an appointment. Mom was pretty enthusiastic too, for the wrong reasons however, the 2 male hair stylists were hands down gorgeous. Go figure. To my amazement, the saloon was fully booked until the 29th of dec so i had to settle with an appointment on the 30th. :(

With that, we returned to klang after a whole day of 'pampering & RELAXATION'. SHUDDERS~

okay, yes i know, i've been slacking, had been tad a little sick & busy. Oh yea,not to mention suffering from a 'short' period of uber-laziness. X)

So, i'm feeling insanely guilty right now. But with all the shopping, studying & mood-swings, you've gotta give the gurl a break ya know? Besides, i read somewhere that using the pc too much will lead to all sorts of tumours,headaches,cardio probs...yada yada...fine, i'll stop making up excuses.

Some major events besides the pocket-burning endorphine-releasing shopping sprees! (i'm broke!!)

A) Cous Joanne's 21st bday
Seriously, i envy this gurl to BITS!! Her oh-sooo-sweet beau secretly planned a surprise bday party for her at Holiday Villa and wait for it...here goes....HE BOUGHT HER 21 ALL-BRANDED PRESSIES!!!!!!!!! DAMN!!! HE'S BRO IS ALREDY MARRIED OR ELSE...wistful thinking...
Back to topic. Her bday is actually on the 5th of dec but since its a friday, the bf figured it'd be a better idea to postpone the party to the weekend- on sunday. Besides, it adds up the suspense ya? I heard from aunt josline that jo was sooo pissed & humiliated, for everyone acted as if they'd forgotten about her bday (even the sisters in usa & canada weren't allowed to call back for wishes n kisses) so she sulked & moaned from friday to sunday. Even on that day, the parents, brother & bf just grudgingly (pro acting of course) told her to dress up for dinner at some fancy restaurant. At that very moment, me n everyone else (relatives & her close friends) hid by the main entrance into the special hall reserved for her party, each grabbing hold of a party cracker, waiting to surprise her.

Oh, a short story worth mentioning. Me & mom were running late, not surprisingly, and apparently, roscoe was also in the festive mood, overwhelmed with all this partying & scheming business that he decided to pee indoors just a sec before we left the house. T.T So as i was saying, we were late & guess what? Yours truly left her trusty loyal hp at home. BUMMER RITE? So, without a phone we had to hunt for the correct restaurant all over holiday villa. Granted that there are not many restaurants there, but still, looking like 2 lost aubergines isn't that appealing to the eye ya'know??!! Mom had this brilliant idea that the party would be held at the bar cum cafe cum restaurant opposite the swimming pool which is like, completely ridiculous (imho) but, true enough, there were 2 BIG words spelling out HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the wall. Mom was like YAY!! WE FOUND IT!! But little ole genius mua scrutinized at the small words below the message & observed that something was amiss. Immediately, i asked mom, is jo 60 yrs old already??? We were like..hmm....Next thing you know, the bartender calmly said: 'Miss, there's another party at the tropical watnot restaurant.' So we ran all the way to the right party. Tx goodness we didn't crash into some old fella's party. PHEW!!!

Erm, nothing much to say about the party so the pictures will suffice. The food is..err...well..how should i say, err...aesthetically pleasing to eye? Well, you see, i was walking to the buffet counters where all the dishes were displayed soo 'artistically' for my 1st round when i realized that the dishes either contain something which i abhor (eg tomatoes,cheese,capsicum...) or is just some unknown foreign object to me. Thinking that i should go for the 'safer' options before 'experimenting' on the others, i returned to the table with fruit & greenies. XD Like i said, SAFE!! (gosh, farahin will have a field day over this) Happily munching on my cauliflower, my cousins started to catch up with one another. Suddenly, comments like 'this isn't that fresh' 'the salmon tastes weird' ' the gravy is a lil too salty for my taste' were audible. So, i started to make a list of dishes 'not to try' in my mind. In the end, i'd another round of fruits AND vege again. SIGHS. Ooo, but i did indulge in the desserts!!! The choc eclairs were HEAVENLY!!! After taking a bite, i could hear the angels singing & envision the golden gates of heaven opening! I'M SERIOUS!!! My cousins were like 'earth calling yeexin!!! come back!!' LOL. But when i wanted to go back for more. There were none. SOBS!!! I'm salivating at the thought of it as i'm typing. :(

With all the pressies from us not to mention THE TWENTY ONE BRANDED GIFTS...she's a pretty lucky lass to turn 21! Anyone sensing a green-eyed monster out at loose? Haha, oh well, i'm happy for her too. So here's wishing you a very merry & happy yr,a great time teaching at yamaha (n having the little cheeky boys giving you winks (;) and hopefully, a very-soon-to-happen marriage!!

B) Meeting up with Minli & ss!!!
Mushroom's BACKKK!!!! YAY!!! Minlikinns is back from the land of kiasu-ness!!! And she's still the same without any mutation/evolution(word borrowed from ss (;)!!!! MISSS HER TO BITSSSS!!! Met up with sinsiang too. BUT HE HAD EVOLVED!!!! IN HEIGHT!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I. HATE. U. I'm gonna buy only high heels this coming year. HMPH!! Sighs, drank root beer at ANW while catching up. Can u believe that i've not been to ANW for like at least 4 years alredy?? Good thing is, they both are still the same & i'm X). Somethings in life are best kept constant. Watched Bolt in 3D after that. Was a bit disappointing. The movie was ok, & if you've a doggie, then u'll enjoy some parts of the movie. But we paid good $$ for the 3d glasses & i'm sorry to say: IT WASN'T WORTH THE MONEY FULL STOP. Oh well, you can't cry over spilled milk. Then we went ICE-SKATING!!! YEAH~ Haven't been skating since minli left so it's been excatly a year since then. I missed it sooo the very much!!! Haha, had the adrenaline rush when i pushed myself to exceed the speed i'm used to. Actually, i was trying to prove that i can still skate, the couple of cocky guys were just making me more determined. Oh & did i mention that some fella punched me right on my face while trying to regain his balance?? I was seeing birds for a few secs haha..totally didn't see it coming. Proud to say that i didn't fall then. Instead, i fell 3 times at the exact same place:the entrance of the rink. The blades of my skates kept jutting into the many holes on the surface of the ice,rendering a huge trip & me sliding to the ice. Sighs, somebody needs to tell those guys that you don't have to keep jutting the brakes of the ice so deeply into the ice, resulting in a 'bermuda triangle-like' area filled with patches of indentations, WHICH causes trips & accidents. The joke is, on my way home, I was feeling so proud for having such strong bones & mastering such a superb sliding technique that i did not hurt myself at all; the next day, i woke up to find 3 large patches of nasty bruises on my left knee. HAHA. Scared the hell outta my mom. My trainer at the gym even thought i was suffering from abuse. LOL.

D) i'm guilt-ridden for spending so much money lately & not working. Sighs.

E) i learnt loads of new words. my fave new words are 'vituperate', 'sinuous', 'bourgeois' & 'mendacious'. Go look up the pronunciation of bourgeois. You'll like the word too!! Mendacious is sooo appropriate. It's an adjective which describes a false & dishonest character. MEN-dacious. Figures~

F) Buying shoes at carlo rino is freaking addictive, n pricey @.@

G) Happie bday ryan!!! Please teach me the arcane secret recipe for spurting into 'such great heights' in just a few months!!

H) Many recommendations for you people out there for the following reads:
1) Marley & Me, Josh Grogan (is it me but the 1st thing that came into mind was, JOSH GROBAN WRITING A BOOK??!!)
- it's a very good book. Initially when the whole world was talking so highly about it, I was sceptical (as usual) & thought that it most probably didn't deserve the adulation it received so i didn't buy it. Inti's librarians didnt think so though & kudos to them!! The book gives so much insights about a dog owner's hectic life with an unruly mutt. I can breath again, now that i know that roscoe isn't the only dog that has lightning/thunder phobia. People without dogs would also enjoy this book for sure. Grogan is one humorous chap & uses his words wisely & concisely (unlike me..sobs). Oh, a personal opinion: there're pictures of him from his teens to his current age enclosed in the book i'd borrowed & he actually looks so much better as he aged!! wistful thinking again~~not about him larr...i just wish i can age gracefully too!!

-ooo, i just read this somewhere! Jennifer anniston & owen wilson are making a film based on this book!! woohoo!! another doggie movie!!

2) The Abduction, Marl Gimenez
- took this book from the shelf randomly. Didn't even read the summary. And am i glad i took it!!! The book kept me suspended from the page 1 to the end!!!! I was biting my nails (yes i do that when i'm thinking or concentrating on something..shh..) all the way!! It's like a journey where you learn new facts & 'see' new scenes along the way; and when a book can do that to a reader, its definitely a MUST READ!! The convoluted plot is fantastically written & it taught me a thing or two about the Vietnam War. I loved every character in the book, even the bitchy mom. K i shall keep mum & not spoil the book for you.

3) For One More Day, Mitch Albom
-here's another international renowned author whom i refused to acknowlege due to my nature to doubt that books by famous authors are usually not THAT interesting to read. AND i was proven wrong AGAIN. Sighs. Anyways, this book is very poignant & it deals mainly on the issue of the relationship between the main character 'chick' & his dead mom who appears as a ghost throughout the whole book. The theme is very trite & oh-so-repetitive but the way albom writes the plot is honestly, ingenious. The book starts off with the guy commiting suicide. Go figure. Actually, go read it. 2 thumbs up for this book.

I'm currently reading 'chasing harry winston' by lauren weisberger who wrote the infamous book 'the devil wears prada' & its sooooo chick-lit. Sighs. It serves for light reading i suppose, but all these drop-dead gorgeous female characters & tall lean Brits with washboard abs & sexy accents are wearing me out. I wanna read Jeffrey Archer's 'A prisoner of birth'!!! MINLI, BORROW MEEE!!!

I) I've just realized that the gym has loads of cute hunks with bulging biceps. Hmm...

J) I've also just realized that i always make the wrong arm movements while swimming frog style. T.T

K) Roscoe is getting cuter. I better not let him out too often. Bitches might get their grimy paws onto him. Literally. Which reminds me. He peed indoors just recently & i was so tired at that time but still had to clean up his mess, so obviously i was cranky. I started calling names & S.O.B. was one of them. Then i realized he IS an S.O.B. ISH! But he's a darling, well most of the time. :)

haha..i guess that i don't have to explain for the late update. Been busier than usual because bro's back.

Accompanied bro to purchase some EXTREMELY PRICEY & POCKET-BURNING rock for a certain arrangement which will tie him down FOR LIFE at 1utama. People, this is still a secret so if you get what i mean, you are bounded by coffee poison to shut your trap. ;)
(I'm becoming a pro in this area, so anyone interested in consulting me for my 'expertise', feel free to drop a line, HOHOHOHO...)

We dropped by at my aunt's at Setia Alam to check out their new ~~mansion~~ home, my cousin who's back from nz for a hol & their Siberian Husky- Lushka(not sure bout the spelling, it's german). The design/idea/concept of their house is really cool. There isn't any gates or fences surrounding the house or the garden & the main door opens to a veranda & a pool which then is connected to the dining room,living room & tree house. Sighs, no idea how to explain this without pictures but i figured that showing pics of their house/sanctuary is pretty violative towards their privacy. Anyways, it's really cool. Cousin Thomas is very very buffed up!! I reckon being health conscious & becoming yet another gym addict do wonders to a person. Lushka is....HUGE!!! He's of the same age as Roscoe, yet 4 times his size!!! I think it was Roscoe's scent on my body which made him a little hyped but he was so freaking HIGH when he saw me & started to pounce & lick me all over!!! When he stands straight he's even taller than me so imagine how freaked out i was!!! But, he's ADORABLE!!! Went to Pyramid for a gym session & shopping today. Got back home at 5 & my legs felt like play-doh sticks by then. So fuh-reee-king exhausted!! Still, i managed to shop again in the evening at Jusco, Bkt Tinggi. Haha. Can't say no to shopping right? Oh, we had Vietnamese for dinner!!! Yummie....XD

Going back to 1U again tomorrow for more shopping. Haha. 1u's too big for a one day trip.

Anyways, I've something really REALLY cool or should i say exciting to share!! I, KOH YEE XIN WITNESS AN ACTUAL SNATCH-THEFT!!! Bro was driving us back from jusco & if any of you are reading the papers, you should know that the traffic around that area is a nightmare due to the recent construction of an overhead bridge.Somewhere along the way we went past this row of shops which has a bank tucked in the middle, & this guy caught my eye. Nope, he wasn't cute or anything, it was the way he was running. He was clutching something to his chest & scurrying like a rat, taking glances to his back from time to time. I was sorta day-dreaming at that time so i didn't really care, until i saw another man who was approximately 2 meters away chasing after him. I felt like i was watching a slidehow of pictures & the next scene i saw was the bank. After connecting the dots together i went THIEF! THIEF! like crazy in the car. Bro blamed me for not chasing after the thief but wth, what could i do right. RIGHT?? I still needed time to process what was happening. Sheesh. But still it was AN EXPERIENCE.

Well, i was thinking of writing this post a little later in the future but a few encouraging words from a certain wife of mine *ahem farahin* stirred me to start typing. =)

The piano has been an ever-permanent presence in my life. Not that i'm bragging or anything but having an aunt who teaches piano & who is extremely close to my mom does have its 'consequences' you know. All my cousins & EVEN my bros play/have TRIED to play (my bros' case would be the latter) the piano so it wasn't a big deal to me. IN FACT until i went to primary school i assumed that everyone is required to play the piano, as if it's a natural stage of the infant's development. (piano & walking..hmm...doesn't make much sense to think about it now)

OK ok i'm not gonna bore you with my idiocy any longer but be succinct. Due to the EXTREME boredom of this holidays (stupid aused/starbucks..i'm thinking of going to kumon alred..; ~~the yr end sale hasn't started so no shopping~~ wifey informed me that it has started!! SHOPPING!!), i have to arrange some 'uncommon' activities into my schedule. When i say uncommon i mean hobbies/obligations that i've long stopped doing/fulfilling. Aside from reading, gym-ming (yes,i invented the word, any comments?), doing toefl practices & stuffing SAT vocab into this thick-head of mine, i've been flipping my NiHon-Go (jap language) books, reading manga online (back to otaku mode, OURAN HIGH SCHOOL ROXS HOST CLUB!!!!) annndddd playing the piano.

Lol, i think i digressed alot...AGAIN. Well, i was trying a few new pieces like La Campanella, some of Chopin's Etudes, Waltz & Nocturnes (yes i lurvvv Chopin) when i had this ineffable feeling...well..to put it in words, it's like the music was taking me where it wants me to go. Ok, i'm not going cuckoo here, it's actually very normal when you're playing a piece which you're very familiar with(i think), when you actually can close your eyes & just let your fingers go free, guided by the music & your emotions, yet the music that comes out is still perfect in dynamics & rhythm. (haha..i'm a romantic in heart) But it happened to me today when i was practicing on a couple of new pieces which i'm totally unfamiliar with. Well i stumbled here & there at the beginning (no surprises there) but when i reached the middle of the piece, i can actually sight-read faster(it was in a different variation so it's not the experience), as if the music was coaxing me to continue with the flow. Figuratively speaking of course. Sighs, i'm sure this will not make any sense, i don't really know exactly what i'm saying but, it's very very exhilarating. It's like feeling invisible i guess. (though i've never known what it feels like, its just me assuming that's what it feels like, but as you know my assumptions are ~~USUALLY~~ALWAYS wrong so...blablabla)

I will just stop rambling like an idiot.

Some pieces are awfully tough to overcome though. Overcome=When i can play the piece well. Or should i say my fingers are pathetic & useless.

Woah...i AM naggy. Better stop before this becomes a 5 page essay. If you know what i mean.

Bro's coming back in...2 hrs, midnight bus & i have the HONOUR to wait till then to disarm the alarm & unlock the door for him. Note the sarcasm.

well, just felt like blogging some thoughts & what-nots: (i have a habit of making lists, in case u haven't noticed...)

1) nike I declare war against nike!!! Just weeks after i FINALLY settled on purchasing a pair of nike's AFTER lots LOTS of deliberation, they came up with a pair of the same model but with a nicer colour!!! Curses...i went into the shop, rested my eyes on the new shoes displayed at the center of the store, & immediately started to curse much to the bewilderment of the nice salesman. (i couldn't help it!!)

3. I SERIOUSLY have no idea whether i should go to australia or america. God, should i throw a dice? even=aus;odd=usa?? I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHETHER I SHOULD DO ACT SCI OR NOT..dang i hate 2nd-guessing myself...

4. OCD/obsessive-compulsive disorder I strongly suspect my mom has it. She insists on cleaning the ceilings of the ole house. Cmon, washing the fruits & vege at least 5 times with salt is still bearable, mopping the floors 3 times EVERYDAY is....TOLERABLE..BUT THIS???? Feel awfully sorry for the maid who's here for 5 days. This experience with me mom is surely gonna traumatize her so i tried to be nice by helping with the ceilings. To reach it with this *ahem* average height of mine is no easy feat. I've gotta stack a ladder on a table so it's like a circus act. Did i mention i'm not too comfortable with heights? But it's not a phobia, i always play with this fear by going on roller-coaster rides, which gives me a sense of achievement for i can overcome this fear. (NOT COCKROACHES THOUGH...eww..even the spelling of the word makes me nauseous...) So, i tried to balance myself on the self-made contraption & got the job done, thinking that it'd take only a matter of days before the dust will settle back & the spiders will return to rebuild their homes.

5. I finished Emma. It's AWESOME!! IMHO, better than Pride & prejudice. Still, i like both Elizabeth & Emma. NOTE TO VLIANG: u shud not only avoid gurls who watch taiwanese dramas, but gurls who read Jane Austen too. HAHA i want a Mr Knightley/Mr Darcy/Mr Henry Tilney to sweep me away!! Can'ts stand these oldies though, if u like that person, just say so!! You can avoid all the misunderstandings/hurt/inconveniences/jealousies/3-parties ETC!!! (i'm outta books...tx God Inti's library is restocking..)

6. I hate big families. Goodness, with all the drama & white lies..can't understand people of the earlier generation.

7. Holidays give me time to think. About my wrong-doings. And i realised that i'm not a really good friend. Come to think of it i am a BIG HUGE FAILURE as a friend.People have been so kind & nice to me, helping all the time when i'm in need that i took them all for granted!!! Here's a big big honest-from-my-heart apology to mah buddies. I'm sorry for not being there when i should. I'm sorry for not even wishing burfday wishes even tho u guys nvr forgot mine. I'm sorry for missing outta parties/events/trips. I'm sorry for acting like a introverted warped cocoon. SORRRY!!

Well, i was so worn out yesterday that i procrastinated until....well..now.
I can proudly say that i slept for more than 12 hrs!! Haha not straight, but in sporadic intervals.

Anyhoo, I HAD A DATE WITH FARAHIN!!! WAKAKAKA..

I brought her to INTI's library but did not take a pic of her there!!! ISH!! She went there to do some research on her math project while i returned my seriously overdue books (penalty of rm8=[) & borrowed some more books =], although i realized that i've read one of them ( sidney sheldon's the best laid plans...sighs).

Some digression here, i read one of the books & i lurv it!!! It's written by Mark Haddon & it's entitled The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. The book is more of a children's story but it's quite entertaining for readers of all ages as it deals with Asperger's Syndrome. I personally like the book alot because i'm fascinated by geniuses,autism & numbers. Also, it taught me alot of facts about Asperger's, vocabulary & the subway stations in London. The author has plenty of experience working with autistic children so he has the deep insight of the minds of these unique individuals. I like the way he portrayed Christopher, his writing style & his dry sense of humour. I think it's Mark's bleak sense of writing which drawn me into the book & i just couldn't help but feeling sorry, emphatic, but also amazement & respect for the 15 yr old kid at the same time. I call him a kid because he acts & thinks like one-he's completely innocent & cannot lie. He has an obsession with prime numbers & recites the squares of numbers in order to calm himself. (he can square the number 2 up to the power of 45 all in his mind!!) We both like Sherlock Holmes, mysteries & dogs. (random but....=)) This book is a winner of the whitbread book of the year award & i highly recommend you people to read it! I'm gonna read it again after i finished the other books. Currently reading Emma by Jane Austen, the last book which i've not read by her & i'm enjoying it!!

Synopsis
Christopher Boone is a fifteen year old boy and has Asperger's, a form of autism. He knows a great deal about math and very little about human beings. When he finds his neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his world upside down. (the dog was really murdered the way its illustrated on the cover, the fork stabbed into it...CAN YOU IMAGINE HOW SOMEONE CAN COMMIT SUCH AN EVIL ACT!????!!!)

Back to the date with Farahin, we walked back to my car only to find a summon ticket lying innocently on the windscreen. DAMN! I should've known for i saw a couple of policemen loitering about. But i'm surprise that i don't feel really bad about it. Hmm, maybe its because this is the 2nd time so i'm immune to it already but..haha...
We then headed to Pyramid to have lunch & catch a movie. Since Farahin insisted on me deciding on where to eat, i randomly picked Laksa Shack for it was the 1st image which popped into my mind. (why do ppl always ask me about these decisions??!! i'm a very indecisive person & i always pick the wrong choices!!!) I had something (sorry forgot the name already) wrapped around otak-otak. And i do not know what's otak-otak.( i DO know it's not brains farahin!!) Thank goodness it was a side dish for i ordered cendol for drinks &, instead of a glass size portion i was expecting, it turned out to be this super-large ass bowl of ice!!!!! Farahin dared me to finish it AND I DID!! WEEE...with loads of agony though, almost felt like puking when i was halfway through BUT I STILL MANAGED TO FINISH IT!!! x)

see! i nvr ever blush!!NVR!! the cendol was really really killing me..

Farahin paid the bills & i was supposed to pay her back but i COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN!!!

We were kinda late for the movie due to an extremely embarrassing accident which of course, involves me & i shall not dwell further into that topic.
Igor, the movie we watched, was kinda kiddy-ish i think. I've got to admit i didn't really enjoy the show for i was practically freezing the whole way. (no tx to the cendol~) I like Scampers!! He's soo sarcastic & soo funny with his suicidal tendencies. But he's a nice rabbit actually!!! (now to think about it, he reminds of happy tree frens when he chopped off his leg...errr...feeling queasy)

At 5, we splitted. Farahin has a tuition class to rush to whereas i have a meeting with sheera, my trainer. He had a surprise for me & boy DID I ENJOY IT!! He brought me to the boxing ring (which was like in the middle of the gym) & taught my to box!!!! It was WAAYYYYY cool!!! I felt like the gurl in Million Dollar Baby & can't wait to KICK SOME SRS ASS...haha. It was actually very complicated, the moves & all. To think that i initially assumed that all you do is aim & punch. HAR! But sheera said that i'm his BEST student & learnt very quickly!!! WEEEEE~ i doubt him though, i always confuse wave & defend. SIGHS... but i'll work on it!! Who knows, i can become a part-time hit-~~man~~gurl!!! (pardon the endless 'if-only' talks) However, since the ring is like the center of attention of every soul in gym, ppl were stopping by & staring at me pathetic punches. DAMN...even the free trainers hung around the ring & stared!!! Some even joked by saying they'd like to have a match with me..CMON!! It's like a death wish...

I reached home at 8..haha...very late & mom gave me the SILENT TREATMENT....AGAIN...
But i think she's NOT really that mad, i think.
She talked to me though today so i dont think she's THAT mad, hmm.
