Blueberry Cheesecake Trial

I tried making my version of Blueberry Cheesecake. A buyer made a request if I could make some for his friend. I searched for the recipe that I know would be unique and different from the "common" cheesecake recipes.

My first pan was a fail because I forgot to include the sugar and vanilla in the mixture. So the batter turned out to be a sponge and it looked like wrinkled. As the rest of the batter, I did a quick adjustment and incorporated the missing ingredients and my cheesecake turned out to be fine. :)

I then made the filling. I would love to cheat and make use of the canned blueberry, but I decided to forego it and do my own blueberry filling. It took a lot of time to make the filling and to get the right consistency of the sauce.

On my next venture to making another cheesecake improvement, I will definitely try the ones in the can! I'd love to sell this, but I'm not completely satisfied with the outcome of it. I need to make room for improvements before I can 101% place it in my menu listing.

I L-O-V-E COFFEE!! So coffee in cakes is my idea of heaven! I heart it in chiffon cakes, pound cakes, muffins, big cakes.

I made cappuccino cupcake topped with baked cream cheese. It was so yummy. The coffee cake was similar to sponge cake, only smaller. I can really taste the coffee, it was soooo good!

Classic Flour-less Chocolate Cake

Are you a chocolate lover? Chocolate addict? Can't live without chocolate? Or on a diet? :) If you answered to the first 3 questions, then you are on the right blog post.

I was a bit hesitant when I decided to have this on the menu. For one thing, I am not that much of a chocolate addict, I mean, I can be, once in awhile. Plus, I was thinking how this cake would rise up if no flour is involved. Amidst my speculations and what if's, this cake rose just right. I baked this using an 8" round pan, and sliced into 8.

I know - CHOCOLATE OVERLOAD! hahaha.

I tried one and half slice. The texture is very heavy. Seems a little dry (for this batch). However, it's really FILLING. You can taste the bitter dark chocolate. The chocolate icing on top gave the cake the right sweetness. I also tried eating this with vanilla ice cream. It was good, but I bet that it would taste much better with caramel ice cream. :)

Can you feel the chocolate richness? :)

Our team is now, and again on the verge of the looking for a delivery we can stick to. As of the moment, we found 2 potential couriers (names cannot be given).

And now we have to choose a set menu for the ones that can be delivered and for the ones that cannot. We'll be including a fix Php50.00 additional fee for those who availing our delivery services.

For the mean time, we will be giving out free deliveries, one client per place. (i.e. one in Pque, one in Valenzuela, one in Q.C., etc.)

We're hoping to better serve you and deliver freshly baked cakes, cookies, muffins, bars.

Choco Cookie Cupcake

This is our newest product. My best selling chocolate chip cookie is loved by my mom, family, friends, girlfriends, & the b.f. So I gave it a try. Why not make a cookie into a cupcake?

And Viola! This is the finished product. I like the crispy edges it has, and soft chewy portion in the middle. This is best to top with whipped cream, ice cream, & ice cream on the side. I'll sell it bare for the mean time until I come up with a yummy frosting.

Yellow Bubble Cake

Wondered where the bubbles are? Well, these small coarse nuts are known as 'bubbles'. :) Interesting right?

These yellow two-layered 9" cake is very soft and moist. Taste is similar to 'Sara Lee's Refrigerated Cake (the ones packaged in aluminum foils ;) ) The bubbles add a crunchy side and flavor to the cake.

Bake Sale Countdown. . .

Bake sale countdown begins tonight! At exactly 12 midnight (Philippine-time), ordering for the bake sale is officially open!

So how does it work?
. .Each week, we will be baking a set of batches per menu and we will be selling them per piece or if you reach a certain amount, your shipping (yes, delivery *wink*wink*) is on us.
. .Since the baked goodies will be limited, a first come first serve will be implemented. You have to fill out an order form, first person basing on the time it was submitted gets to be served first. (But you have to be 199% sure of your orders before filling it out)
. .Bake sale is open for Metro Manila residents only.

Simple right? :) So all you have to do now is wait for the time and wait for the menu to come out with their corresponding prices.

Apart from the bake sale, we will now be able to do deliveries on selected areas only. What's disappointing is that the courier only covers Metro Manila areas EXCLUDING Valenzuela, Malabon, and Navotas area. We need your advance instructions when you'd like the items to be delivered, 2 days in advance please.

So, just sit back and await our menu!

Confezioni Dolce is finally open for business. After being closed for 10 days, we are now ready to take your orders again. :)

Here's what in store:

* Ordering and Delivery/Meet-ups shall be open ONLY from May 17 (Monday) to May 21 (Friday), 2010. Why? To paved the way for our online bake sale which will start on May 24, 2010 (Monday) until further notice.

* How does the Online Bake Sale work?

> We will be providing a list of limited pieces per menu. All you need to do is comment here at Blogspot to place your orders. Since the menu will be containing limited pieces, a first come first serve basis will be implemented and no reordering will be allowed not until the bake sale has ended.

> Pricing. Prices are made either per piece, (assorted pieces) dozens, buy 1 take 1 and the like.

> Menu. The list of menus will be posted by the end of the week and will officially open on the 24th, Monday.

No blog updates because the baker had to rest for a few days.
Me, not loving the weather anymore :(

The Search for The Mini Pans

So here's what went on my search yesterday.

Instead of finding the round pans like in those in the picture yesterday, I found this - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

2 different cup sizes for mini cakes. Due to excitement, I used all four of them just now. :D That's a picture of the cakes in the oven two hours ago.

And now, this is what they look like. :) Baked sooo nicely. And now, they're up for some frosting and ready for deliver. I call them the Mini BanaMon Cakes.

I even bought same cake boxes and cardboard boxes. :D The finale photo will be up later.

Cake Sizes

I have always been fascinated how those tiny personalized cakes where made. It then got me to thinking yesterday that i may be able to make one if they have those tiny little cake round tins, if so, THERE IS, I will buy maybe 6 pairs of it.

And then, I found this - - - (see picture below). So it's not the small pans.. harharhar!! :p This must be the ones
they use. I wonder if there is one here in the PHilippines, and where? Hmmm...

So today, I'm off on the search for this tube pans for my mini version of my cakes. I actually plan to gift some of my friends tomorrow before they leave on Wednesday.

I'll keep you posted what happens after the search - successful or not, let's wait and see! ;)

Our New Home (again)

Confezioni Dolce finally moved to WordPress, then finally here @ Blogspot. Difficulties with using WordPress is killing me. . headache! :(

More updates with the new recipes plus a review page from our beloved clients. Though, I still plan on keeping our FB fanpage, maybe I can incorporate it here.

I hope to get lots of reviews, visitors and CLIENTS.

I have a lot of things in store starting this year, promos, freebies, and free taste for every new recipe, something you guys can look forward to.

Confezioni Dolce started its fanpage at facebook last November 2009. At the start, we only had 1 menu in the list plus other goodies not posted. The fan page composed of common friends that knows me and added the page.

As of now, the page has 198 fans, 45 unknown fans, and 3 regular clients – we are expanding! Because of that, Confezioni Dolce needs a permanent home especially for those without Facebook accounts. Adjusting and catering to the needs of others gives us a plus point and hopefully will get new clients and more followers.

Baking is really my passion and I want to share it with others in an affordable price. With lots of bakers makings its way in the market, the competition for cheaper and affordable, yet quality-wise goodies is becoming higher.

As a bonus to an early success, we’ll be holding our first ever bake sale! Dropped prices for specific menu plus freebies for the first 19 clients to comment here at our Blogger page. New recipes awaits all loyal clients.
