Previously, we'd been recording these latest songs in Garageband on "The Great White Hope" (aka, the white MacBook we use when we play live).

Working on a specific part of the song ("Groupthink") in this clip. After Chris does a few vocal takes, Ruben gets an idea for some background harmonies. Sometimes the 1st idea is the best, but not always. In this case, the last harmony we came up with sounded best. Trial and error is usually the way we operate. Keeping trying different ideas until we get one we like.

Well, we've been working on new tracks for a little bit, but have finally started to make some headway. A good amount of time has been spent discussing various options of how to create our product. The main point was trying balance cost with quality. I know discussing cost isn't exciting, but it's a big factor in the new music economy. Just recently, I read about a fellow Long Island band,

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ConflictInTheBlog/~4/a8-BwqDycWo" height="1" width="1"/>

Lyric excerpts #1

Lyrics from new tracks we are workin on

This is live footage from a gig back in Nov 2009. It's our cover of the classic 80's band "Duran Duran." Well, this song was from their later years, as it was released in 1993 I believe, but Duran Duran will always be 80's to me.
