Supply and installation of new raised access flooring system to all general office areas to recently completed new build. Further works included installation of Main Communications Room and Sub Equipment Rooms to all floors. Adaptations were carried out to enable installation of stone finished to reception areas and tea points on every level. Works carried out to tartget programme instigated by Connaught and achieved. Connaught provided the Main Contractor with a completed installation 4 weeks ahead of the contract programme.

Attendance was given on all Mechanical, Electrical and Data Cabling Services installations.

West London Data Centre

Supply & Installation of 5,200 m2 Heavy grade vinyl bonded raised floor panels forming data halls, service corridors, support & offices areas , installation of plant bases , heavy duty floor grilles and associated works.

Contract Duration – 10 months.

Nottingham Data Centre

Supply and installation of 1,250 m2 across new extra heavy grade vinyl bonded raised floor to form a new across two data hall’s, client workshops, build rooms and associated office support areas. Floors installed to 450mm, 600mm and 800mm.

Works included pre-marking of pedestal positions, floor sealers and forming of ramps and steps to changes in floor height plus hand and guardrails installed to all rooms.

Contract Duration – 4 weeks

M4 Corridor Data Centre 

Supply and installation of 7,800 m2 new heavy grade vinyl bonded raised floor to form 3 new data halls and back of house / support areas.
Additional works included installation of CRAC Unit plenums, RPP frames and installation of epoxy floor paint to all areas.

Hertfordshire Data Centre

Removal of old bare faced raised floor panels and installation of new medium grade vinyl panels with ramp and door well vinyl areas.

Contract Duration – 1 week

East Coast Scottish Data Centre 

Supply and installation of 2,900 m2 new extra heavy grade vinyl bonded raised floor to form a new data hall and associated office support areas.
Works included installation of a floor with a finished floor height of 1.3m with a Sub-Contractor design secondary subfloor installed at low level on the same pedestals to span across chilled water pipework.

Scottish County Council Data Centre

Supply and installation of 100 m2 new extra heavy grade vinyl bonded raised floor to form a new Comms Room including supply and installation of ramp with handrail.

Major Bank Data Centre

Attendance upon Mechanical, Electrical & Data Cabling, Services Sub-Contractors for refurbishment works to large data hall. Works included installation of replacement panels, heavy duty floor grilles and localised strengthening works for new equipment. Floor box cut outs supported and Koldlok cable management bush strip grommets installed.

Contract Duration – 1 month over 4 weekend shifts

Project Details:

Connaught Access Flooring carried out the installation of an extra heavy grade raised access floor to the Technical Building areas and Data Halls over 3 floors and a recently constrcuted Docklands Data Centre. 

We commenced our works with the floor painting prior to the raised floor installation. The main installation of the raised floor was complete in seven weeks.   

The floor paint works which included the application of an Altro Solo DPM coat was the specified J30 Altro Tect floor paint from Altro Floors. The floor panels were the K41 Specified Bathgate Extra Heavy Grade System and were supplied with a mixture of vinyl and carpet pre-bonded floor finish as per the Construction Issued Floor Finishes Schedules.The pedestal bases in all areas were four times mechanically fixed per pedestal and all pedestals were nickel plated to prevent the formation of Zinc Whiskers. 

Connaught also delivered and installed K41 specified Heavy Duty Floor Grilles from Gilberts of Blackpool as well as slave flooring in areas of high traffic and grille locations.  We also completed a void clean after the main system installation and then an additional clean after the installation of all under floor services.

Attendance was given to all Mechanical, Electrical and Data Cabling Services installations.

Project Details:

Supply and installation of new raised access flooring system to recently completed new build structure. Connaught has supplied and installed raised floors to all general office areas. Further works included installation of specialist plenum floors for dealer operations and trading desks. Installation of floor system to MER and SER rooms panels complete with pre-bonded HPL Laminate finish. Raised floor finished floor heights adapted across all floors to suit installation of stone finishes to receptions areas and staff break out areas. Trench heating fitted to perimeter of raised access floor on all levels.

The site was restricted in terms of access and designed with Hexagonal floor plates utilising a screw down panel system.
