<p><strong>Position Summary</strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Vice President Sales, the Sales Leader, Toronto will coach and develop performance of all Sales Executives and their support functions based from our Markham, Ontario office.  You will be required to oversee and all sales activities, direct a sales team, set goals, and provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in lines with the company vision and values.</p>
<p>The Sales Leader will be responsible for establishing plans and strategies to expand the customer base in Ontario and Quebec and will contribute to the development of training and educational programs for customers and sales representatives alike.</p>
<p>This role also provides site leadership for a number of staff with reporting lines back to the Vancouver office.  There are day to day decisions required for the functioning of the office that will fall within the remit of the incumbent.</p>

<p>Lead the Toronto sales team to achieve or exceed quarterly sales and revenue targets for the company products and services by:</p>

• Effectively handling customer complaints with the emphasis on customer satisfaction, including any necessary recalls<br />

The ideal candidate should have a University degree in Immunology or related scientific field. Practical lab experience in histology, hematology, virology, biochemistry and/or molecular biology would be advantageous. We are looking for an outgoing and motivated individual that is highly organized, able to multitask and pay particular attention to detail. They must also be dependable, efficient, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.<br />
Previous customer service/sales experience, regulatory experience and the ability to speak French are definite assets.</p>

<p><strong>Summary:</strong> This position actively contributes to the success of the organization through merchandise selection, assortment planning, the implementation of marketing plans and the evaluation of results in order to ensure that all product and planned profit goals are achieved through the conscientious application of our company’s standards to achieve our mission statement.</p>
<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>This position is responsible for achieving sales goals by ensuring that all stores have an appropriate selection of merchandise in sufficient quantities;</li>
<li>Promotes the company’s House Philosophy consistently in all aspects of the business;</li>
<li>Prepares and administers assortment plans of selection, of timing of deliveries, of promotional product based on projected sales volumes, sales history and individual store needs including needs due to season, weather, special events and sales etc.;</li>
<li>Analyzes sales, plans and budgets to purchase product offerings for each season to maximize profit margin;</li>
<li>Communicates with vendors to view product, write orders, reorder basics as necessary, negotiate terms and discounts and follow up on and solve issues with shipping, accounting, faulty merchandise etc.;</li>
<li>Writes P.O.’s, ensures input into internal merchandising system, checks P.O.’s prior to sending to vendor;</li>
<li>Prioritizes and ensures proper distribution, correct pricing, expert merchandising, and correct marketing strategies for all sku’s;</li>
<li>Communicates and visits with stores on a regular basis and cultivates a two way flow of information regarding product information, customer needs, follow up to “hot and cold” sheets, inventories, etc.;</li>
<li>Strategizes with marketing and merchandising to maximize sales and promotions including assistance with ad listings, co-op ads etc.;</li>
<li>Actively participates with training every season through photo books, product knowledge sessions regarding merchandise, key trends, influences and reasons for selection, etc.;</li>
<li>Maintains maximum gross margin dollars by successfully understanding mark-up margin concept, controlling mark downs etc.;</li>
<li>Control of payment terms/ delivery dates/ etc.;</li>
<li>Demonstrates superior win-win negotiation techniques;</li>
<li>Prepares various reports as required;</li>
<li>Performs other related duties as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Specific Skill Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5 &#8211; 7 years of progressive retail experience</li>
<li>Equivalent of post-secondary degree or diploma in a business related discipline</li>
<li>Understanding and identifying with the basic goals of our company</li>

<p><strong>EDUCATION:</strong></p>
<p>University Degree or College Diploma in business or other relevant discipline</p>
<p><strong>EXPERIENCE:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in product marketing and telecommunications.</li>
<li>Some experience in the B to B marketplace is preferred.</li>

<p>1. Develop product strategies (roadmap) based on changing competition, economy and the regulatory environment to exploit new opportunities or counteract threats:</p>
