Men, know the goal is to have a woman u can love, cherish, hold, and make your wife.

Of course there is no guarantee of a good woman, but should be used as a foundational guide of what she can look like emotionally, spiritually, mentally, and personality-wise.

Here are 7 types of women every man should date:
• 1. Submitted to God – If a woman is submitted to and passionate about living for God, she will be the same to you, assuming you’re a man submitted to God. There is something special about a woman who truly serves God

.

• 2. A Selfless Woman – A selfless woman will understand the importance of working together, sharing, devotion, and commitment for the right reasons. Her motives will be to help make life a little better for you. She will understand that dying to self doesn't mean she does not love herself.

• 3. A Simple and Low Maintenance Woman – A low maintenance woman tends to be focused on the truly important things in life. I’ve found them to be non-clingy, very rational, and supportive. She won’t care about how much money you have or don’t have. She will like you for who you are and is not looking for what you can do for her. She accepts you freely because she is comfortable in who she is. She is more about becoming a better woman than just appearing to be a good woman.

• 4. A Woman Who Can Truly Be Your Best Friend – Friendship before love is always best before a serious relationship.

• 5. Emotionally Stable – This type of woman understands God gave her emotions and instincts to give man balance. She understands emotions are never used as a decision making tool, because emotions can lead you outside of the will of God. The devil drives us off a cliff using emotions and God gently leads us with wisdom.

• 6. A Loyal and Patient Woman – She is with you through the good and the bad. She’s there if you’re rich; she’s there if you’re poor (if you have 2 cents, 2 dollars, or 2 million dollars… makes no difference). She is right there cheering you on and helping you to be great. She will not be looking for other men, because all of her attention is with you. She will uplift, support and encourage you.

• 7. A Woman with Character – This should go without saying, but I will add this (and this type should really be the first thing you consider for any woman). She must be of a woman of good character. Without character, it will be difficult to even build a strong friendship.

Character is what we do when other people are not looking, but God always knows what we are doing (e.g. A woman who will still entertain men, giving out her number to other men, etc is not serious about a courtship leading to marriage and it speaks to her character). How she will honor and respect the relationship as you grow together when you are not around speaks volumes about her character.

Three “graduates” of Enugu State University of Science and Technology mobilised to participate in the National Youth Service Corps scheme have shown lack of competence and intelligence level expected of genuine degree holders.

In education circles, questions are being asked over the competence of the university and indeed other institutions of learning.

The three corps members are: Nwankwo Elias Chukwuebuka, a graduate of BSc

Electrical/Electronics, with code number NG/11B/1660 and a NYSC call-up number NYSC/EST/2011/1777093; Mbah Linda Akunna, a graduate of BSc Electricals/Electronics with code number LA/11B/5245, a call-up number EST/2011/178882 and matriculation number ESUT/2005/96998, and Okochi Adaeze Kate, a graduate of Geography/Meteorology, with code number AD/12B/0389, call-up number EST/2012/148292 and matriculation number ESUT/2006/10400.

According to documents obtained by Blueprint, the three “graduates,” who are serving in Niger, Lagos and Adamawa states respectively, were rejected, with formal letters sent to the state coordinators by their areas of primary assignment and forwarded to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja.

The national headquarters, in a August 29, 2012 letter signed by the Director General of NYSC, N.T. Okore-Affia, had informed the NUC of the presence of corps members who displayed “glaring lack of academic ability and intelligence level expected of genuine Nigerian graduates, which were consistently exhibited by the three students from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology.”

Attaching copies of letters from NYSC secretariats in Niger, Adamawa and Lagos, Okore-Affia noted: “As contained in the reports, the corps members exhibited signs of incompetence and low intelligence level which range from inability to complete registration formats correctly to not being able to teach pupils at nursery school level. These inadequacies led to their rejections by their employers in their various states of deployment.”

The case, according to an insider’s account, has baffled the National Universities Commission (NUC) and prompted the setting up of a committee to “verify the integrity of the degrees,” and find out if there was collaboration by the university.

Federal education authorities are suspecting a wide-ranging scam that might have been going on for years.

To unravel how the three corps members were mobilised, the NUC has already set up a panel, comprising officials of NYSC, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and the State Security Service (SSS).

The mandate of the panel, according to a letter dated September 24, 2012 signed by NUC Director of Quality Assurance, Professor C.F. Mafiana, “is to fully investigate the report with a view to identifying the culprits, including others similarly mobilised and their collaborators, and ensuring sanctions accordingly. The team would be chaired by a visiting professor in the NUC.”

Out of the three corps members, Okochi could hardly write the Roman figures from one to 10 in words, just as she could not write three states and their capitals. She could not provide the names of two major rivers in Nigeria, just as she failed to name three countries that share border with Nigeria.

Akunna, according to the documents, was rejected by Kings College, Lagos, after it was discovered that she was grossly incompetent to perform her duties.

A further test on her by the Lagos state NYSC secretariat revealed that though a graduate of Electricals/Electronics, she never passed any of the science subjects at the secondary school level.

The third fellow, Chukwuebuka, who was posted to Niger state, was rejected by a nursery/primary school known as FEMA Schools because of his inability to read and write.

Having been rejected by two employers, he had to be reposted by Niger state NYSC to a bakery, pending the final determination of his case by the NYSC national headquarters.

When queried on his incompetence, Chukwuebuka proved his incompetence when he responded in writing: “I awarded a degree in Enugu State University of Science and Technology I have a probeam in my university am manegn my siefe to funsh my school.”

A source disclosed last night that members of the panel would soon commence probing the circumstances under which the “graduates” were released by the university to participate in the NYSC scheme.

Former Lagos State Governor Bola Tinubu has claimed that he supported Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko with millions of pounds in cash during the legal battle to reclaim his mandate after the 2007 election in the state.

Tinubu made the allegation during the Redemption Rally organised by the Action Congress of Nigeria in Akure to mobilise support for the party’s candidate in Saturday’s governorship election, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu.

The ACN leader said Mimiko was economical with the truth when he claimed that he did not receive money from him while the battle lasted.

Tinubu, who quoted copiously from the Holy Bible while addressing the people, insisted that he gave money and vehicles to Mimiko as part of his contribution.

He said, “Mimiko claimed that I did not spend money when he had problems with his mandate, this is not true. It is a lie. He came to me and begged me to support him, rolling on the ground.

“He (Mimiko) claimed that Wole Olanipekun was there when we were planning the strategy, this is not correct. Rotimi Akeredolu was among the lawyers we organised for him.

“He collected money from me. I spent millions of pounds sterling but he betrayed me. It was Yemi Osinbajo who travelled to Israel and other countries to arrange the experts that helped him prosecute the case.

“People warned me not to help him because of his antecedents of being a serial traitor. He betrayed Adebayo Adefarati, Olusegun Agagu, and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo among others, but I still helped him.

“Mimiko has called me a godfather, yes, I am a positive godfather and even, god fatherism is biblical and that is why Christians refer to God as their father.

“I play god-fatherism in the South-West for the good of our people. My godfatherism is for progress, it is for mentoring. I have brought development to Oyo, Osun, Ekiti, Lagos, Edo and Ogun states and the people are better for it.”

Tinubu condemned the mega school concept of the Mimiko administration, saying the schools were not meant for a low populated state like Ondo.

He said, “Mega school is not meant for Ondo. You don’t have the population. The mega school concept can only work in places like Lagos which is densely populated.

“Mimiko is just deceiving you with his mega school idea. It cannot work. We build millennium schools in Lagos where we have thousands of children. What you have in Ondo is a deceit.”

The ACN National Leader said Ondo would lose a lot if the people refused to put an ACN government in place through their votes on Saturday.

“I want to announce that we have made a breakthrough in the Aluu killings. The two main suspects in the case have been arrested and they will be prosecuted.”

The police on Tuesday announced a major breakthrough in their investigation into the lynching of four University of Port Harcourt students. The Inspector General of Police disclosed the arrest during a security meeting with Chief Executive Officers and security officers of banks at the Force Headquarters, Abuja.

The arrest brings the number of suspects arrested by the police to 23 in the videotaped lynching of the four innocent students which sparked outrage nationwide after the clip of the killings went viral on the Internet.

The police has named Coxson Lucky, alias Bright, as the mastermind of the lynching. Lucky, who owe one of the students an undisclosed sum of money, reportedly raised the alarm that the students were robbers when they went to his house to demand for the money. The mob, which converged on the venue of the altercation, then beat and burn the students to death.

However, two of the suspects, who admitted taking part in the mob action, claimed that their involvement was “minimal”. While the first suspect, David Chinasa Ugbaje, said he only hit the students twice, another suspect, Ikechukwu Loius Amadi, claimed that he only beat the students once with a small stick.

Ugbaje, who said he was a cobbler, described one of the students as his customer. He said, “Around 7am on that day, I saw a crowd beating four boys. I asked who the four men were and they (crowd) said they were armed robbers. So, along the line, we went there. I opened the gate and they entered. I could not control the crowd. They pointed at one of our co-tenants; the name of the person is Bright.

“Some people said they wanted to break Bright’s door. So, they started beating the boys very seriously. They took them out from my street. I now left the house. I only beat them twice.”

Ugbaje disclosed that while one policeman at the scene of the incident pleaded with the mob to hand over the students to them, another beat the students. “Along the line, two policemen arrived. One of the policemen was pleading (for the boys), the other one joined in beating the boys. After beating the boys, the police now said the boys should be handed over to them. The crowd shouted, ‘We no go gree, we no go gree,” he said.

The other day, we were discussing the best age to get married. The consensus is that there's no set age because people are different. What is more important is that one has experienced life as an independent individual, is mature, and knows what marriage is all about. Marriage is about love and sex, but it is also about the future, working together with another person to help each other be the best you can be, both personally and as people in a community. Most couples also hope to have children and so one has to think about that too.

I recently came across an article on things one should work on before saying yes to a proposal, and especially before you say I do! Enjoy the article.

1. You've Dated Around
We're not saying you have to pull a Jen Aniston and go through tons of dudes before you find The One. But having a few solid long term relationships under your belt does help you figure out what qualities are important to you and what makes a relationship work-so you truly appreciate your future hubs when you find him.

2. You Share Similar Goals
Let's say he wants to do the suburbia thing stat, while you'd love to travel the globe for a few years. If you get hitched, one of you will end up disappointed...you're in separate mind-sets right now and prioritize different things. Settle down with a man you're more or less on the same page with: you both want to live in the city, you both want (or don't want) kids, etc.

3. You Don't Want to Change Him
Look, you don't have to adore everything about your guy. But you do have to make peace with the fact that he's always going to sack out on the couch and be glued to ESPN on Sunday afternoons, and he'll never stop slurping the milk in his cereal no matter how many times you say it annoys you. You can't change a man (but you can tweak him), and trying to will make you frustrated...not to mention bitchier.

4. Your Connection Is Tight Out of Bed, Too
When you first started seeing each other, staying between the sheets all weekend was pretty legit. But for your bond to be strong enough for the long haul, you need more than a physical connection-meaning you need to know that you can have just as much fun together with your clothes on as you do when they're off.

5. You're Not Living Out a Bridal Fantasy
Sure, it seems like every time you sign onto Facebook, another pal has posted pics of herself in a stunning white gown. Sigh. But remember: Getting hitched isn't about the ceremony-it's about what happens after your big day. You'd better be thinking about your future life with him, not just your future bridal party photos (and how pretty they'll look in that fab silver frame).

6. You Both Try to Resolve Fights
After you have a disagreement, it may seem easiest to apologize and move on-you know, do the whole "pretend it never happened" thing and go forward. But sweeping conflicts under the rug only sets you up for a bigger blow-outs down the road, because the issues will likely resurface if left unresolved. If you can't talk things out rationally, you're not ready.

7. Your Friends and Family Dig Him
Of course, it's your life, so you have the final say. Thing is, choosing a partner is a big deal, and your inner circle's input does mean something. It's fine if a few family members or friends aren't huge fans of you two as a couple; you can't please 'em all. But if everyone seems to think you're a poor match, ask them why. They might be onto something.

While #1, 5, and 7 I think are relative, I can't stress 2, 3, 4, and 6 enough. Those are the points that will get you through the day-to-day trails and triumphs of marriage, what some call the nitty-gritty. In my opinion, open and respectful communication, friendship and good conflict resolution skills are key for a healthy marriage.

Former Super Eagles goal keeper and captain, Peter Rufai, yesterday night suddenly slumped inside his office.

The football Icon, 49, was rushed to Toki Hospital off Adeniran Ogunsanya, Surulere where doctors are doing everything they can to stabilize him. His younger brother Bruce Rufai said he's yet to come around and doctors don't know yet why he slumped.

Bruce told sports journalist, Kayode Tijani, that Peter has been taking the death of their 78 year old mother badly since her passing some days ago. Please say a prayer for Peter Rufai

The flood has so far displaced over 50, 000 people in some states in the north, middle belt and parts of Delta regions. Dr Alban's country home in Oguta, Imo State and President Jonathan's country home in Otuoke community, Bayelsa State have bowed to the flood. More than half of the communities in these areas have been swallowed by flood.

Victims of this flood have been subjected to incredible hardship that most of us who live in states not affected will never begin to understand. Many deaths have been recorded. There have been rape cases, suicides and people missing.

This flood is not particularly a natural disaster, it's more like man made. The flood started early September when Cameroun released water from it's Lagdo dam - the dam supplies electricity to the northern part of Cameroun. Unfortunately water released from the dam is naturally unable to find its path within Cameroun to the Atlantic ocean, so it flows directly into River Benue, and because River Benue is steep, all the states around it is flooded by the water from the dam. Damn!

Coxson Lelebori Lucky, aka Bright, has been declared wanted by the Nigerian Police for the brutal murder of Ugunna Obuzor, 18, 200 Level Geology; Lloyd Toku, 19, 200 Level Civil Engineering; Tekena Elkanah, 20, a Diploma Technical student and Chiadika Biringa, 20, 200 Level Theatre Arts.

Coxson was owing one of the Aluu 4 money and instead of paying up when they came to collect, he raised a false alarm calling them thieves. That alarm led to their horrific murder.

Meanwhile 21 people have so far been arrested and the IG of police has ordered an inquest into the alleged involvement of police men and have promised to bring to book any officer found involved in the killing.

Even the most sadistic fiction writer would not have thought of an ending like this. Still can't believe this happened.

A secondary school teacher, Mrs. Gloria Ayogu, on Sunday said she would consider legal

actions against Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia, if he failed to

Ayogu, a widow and an employee of Federal Government College, Enugu, has since 2008

been at war with Owoh over a piece of land at 9, Ikpeama Street, Emeheluaku Layout,

Trans-Ekulu in Enugu metropolis.

The widow said she had long reported the case to the police and vowed to see the matter to the end.

She said her late husband bought and registered the landed property before he died in 2004.

She claimed, “Osuofia and his thugs appeared in 2008 and threatened me for four years against building on the land.”

According to her, shortly after she completed the bungalow, which she said she built with a loan, and was on the verge of moving in, “Osuofia finally made good his threats and pulled down the house on September 30, 2012.”

Narrating her story further, Ayogu said, “The property was bought same year my husband died and was registered in his name. We started developing it until my husband took ill and later died, about three months after we relocated from where we were living.

“Some years later I discovered that the documents to the property were missing. I searched everywhere but could not find them. I went to the man who sold the land to us and he advised that I report to the state Ministry of Lands. I went there and they asked me to put up a newspaper publication on the missing document, which I did in about three different newspapers.

“I first went to the police and obtained police extract before the loss of document was published. I also put a caveat on the property so that no buyer would come in case people attempted to use it for fraud.

“We were living at Egwuaga Street then, so we relocated to 9, Ikpeama Street in Trans-Ekulu, Enugu. The land registrar gave me new documents covering the property and he advised me to be vigilant and look after my land.

“In 2006, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as Osuofia and some people came to ask me who I was and if I was the owner of the property.”

Ayogu stated that Osuofia also asked her if she was legally married to her late husband, and if she was ready to go to court should the need arise.

She said, “I didn’t see them for some time until one day he resurfaced and said I have to stop work on the site because at that time I had started building. Not long afterwards, he demolished the house.”

Ayogu added that she would not be intimidated and was not ready to lose the only property her late husband left for her and her children.

However, when contacted by our correspondent, the actor denied the allegations.

Osuofia said, “This woman is going to put herself in trouble. I bought a land and the land is causing trouble between the woman and her husband’s first wife. They are struggling over the same piece of land, so why would the woman say it was me that demolished her house?”

“Why is she trying to scandalise my name when she knows there is a family dispute over the land? I don’t know anything about the demolition. I bought the property but they are having problems there, I mean the two wives. Why wouldn’t this woman go to court and sort these things out once and for all?”

While Owoh insisted Ayogu and her co-wife were struggling over the land, the widow maintained that she was the only wife of her husband and that there was no tussle over the land.

When Osuofia was asked to give the contacts of whoever sold the land to him, he said it was long he bought it and had lost touch with the people.

Former governor of Yobe State, Senator Buka Ibrahim, has warned the Federal Government to expect insurgency worse than that of the Boko Haram in the coming months, if it failed to redress the paltry funds appropriated to the North-East in the 2013 budget.

The Senator spoke in the wake of the 2013 budget presentation by President Goodluck Jonathan at the National Assembly last Wednesday.

He said Federal Government’s allocation to the region was alarming, arguing that it was another form of injustice.

He said: “Boko Haram is a product of poverty. It is a product of unhappiness. We are unhappy with Nigeria. Unless something is done to address it, Nigeria should expect bigger Boko Haram insurgency, Insha Allah.

“Other geo-political zones got N79 billion or N80 billion. But the North-East has only N50 billion; a difference of N30 billion. Go and check the budget figures or ask the Director-General Budget Office.”

Asked what the Federal Government should do to avert such a development, he said continuous injustice could only breed continuous insecurity.

“Look, injustice is the basis of all crises in the world. All insecurity comes from injustice. If injustice continues, there will never be peace.

“The panacea is for the government to be conscious of the fact that this part of the country that is totally being neglected; this area called an area without security, is also an area to which injustice has been meted out for decades.”

“Unless concerted effort is made to balance it up, there is no hope.”

Reminded that the President’s 2013 budget was just a proposal and that the National Assembly could rectify the wrong, Abba said: “You see, when the difference is so huge from the Executive, it’s difficult for the National Assembly to really do much to completely change it.

“More so, the members of the National Assembly are not all from the North-East.”

The Senator said it was only 20 percent of members of the National Assembly that were from the North-East, adding that the remaining 80 percent will also want to work in favour of their own geo-political zones.

Dear Friend,

Greetings. I hear you have found a lovely woman you wish to spend the rest of your life with. I hear she is Igbo. Congratulations. Before you go ahead, however, please permit me to say a few things concerning marrying an Igbo woman. I know unsolicited advice is as unwanted as armpit boils, but do spare me a second or two; this is important. See, I know you think the bride price you’ve been told to pay and the long list of traditional marriage items are your biggest issues…trust me,

they are nothing compared with what you will face after the ceremonies have been completed and every member of her village has gone home with his/her share of the booty for which you mortgaged your father’s properties.

Now, take note of the following, dear friend:

1. Forget Authority: If you were marrying a Yoruba woman, she would have come to your house with her mother’s voice ringing in her ears that a husband’s house is a place where life’s lessons are learnt. It’s a different story for the Igbo woman. She comes from a long line of ‘unruly’ people who traditionally have no concept of a central authority figure. Prepare to be stared down eyeball to eyeball in an argument. Prepare to be laughed at when you attempt to assert yourself as the ‘man of the house.’ When she’s done laughing, she’ll measure you, up and down with her left, and sneer: ‘Hian! See this one o; who do you think you’re talking to?’ She’ll clap and shake her head, then she’ll add something in Igbo and then saunter away, wriggling her backside. It isn’t for nothing that the legendary Aba Womens’ Riot happened in…ABA.

2. Prepare to be Called Names: No, I am not referring to endearing (more like puke-inducing, actually) names like Baby, Darling, or Nkem. I’m talking about names that qualify your lineage and ethnicity in terms that are not exactly complimentary. If you are Yoruba, you and your people will be Ndi ofe mmanu (something about too much oil in your soup and fried things in your life); If you are a Northerner, you and your people will be Ndi beribe (something about possessing a mumu gene). Find solace in the fact that if you are truly Yoruba, you ‘know’ that Igbo people use kick to wake their mothers up from the mat in the morning.

3. Say Goodbye to your Waistline: Your waistline will increase in proportion to the years you spend with an Igbo woman who knows the well-beaten path to her mother’s kitchen. Gone are your days of adding stew to ewedu and okro, or eating egusi soup that was blended with tomatoes. Tufiakwa! The introduction of Ofe Akwu, Nsala, Oha, Onugbu, Ofe Owerri and Oporoko will ensure that when you sit, you fill up the chair. That’s what is called a man, a DIMGBA! Not one that looks like something some hungry wind blew in. When the husband of an Igbo woman stands, people must see that a man is standing. Size matters. Don’t be deceived by the looks of people like Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and that six-pack nonsense; he’s not a proper Igbo man. Look more at people like his elder brother Ugo or imagine Noble Igwe a few years after marriage; now, those are real Igbo men! Size matters to an Igbo woman.

4. Be Aware of the Oriaku Syndrome: You have not heard of the Oriaku Syndrome? Don’t worry, I will tell you. You see, when you marry an Igbo woman, you work for her. Your glory comes from seeing her shine. When she steps out, people must SEE your money on her body. If your wife looks like the dried fish she uses in cooking your soup, you are not a man! If she’s dressed like something that was sent to Lagos along with discarded wares, you have failed in your duties! The Oriaku Syndrome posits that your wife is the chopper of your money, simple. Don’t take this to mean that you are her provider and therefore she isn’t independent. When the Igbo man was planting yam, the Igbo woman was planting and harvesting cocoyam, and as every Igbo household can testify, the cocoyam is more useful than yam. Yam is only the king crop because the Igbo society, like others, is phallocentric. Don’t get it twisted.

5. Beware of the Illuminati: Do not marry any Igbo woman that is the first daughter of her father. All first daughters in Igboland are members of the real Illuminati. They sometimes call it by another name: Umuada. They are the most powerful group in Igboland and can do and undo. No one uses small spoon to measure their food. If you marry one and misbehave and she reports you, you are doomed. Even when you don’t marry one, you are still doomed if your wife ever reports you to them. They may decide that all the first daughters from her village will come and live in your house for a month. You may wish to consider suicide if that ever happens to you. It is the Igbo woman who has forgotten the path to her father’s house that suffers in a man’s house when she has the Umuada waiting.

The Catholic Church Intervention: When an Igbo woman is tired of you and your nonsense, she’ll simply pack her bag and return to her father’s house. If you do not run after her and collect your bride price back from her father, whatever child she bears anywhere she goes will bear your name. Yes, I’m serious. This is why there are no bastards in Igboland. But thank God for the Catholic Church, this doesn’t happen often. The average Igbo woman is Catholic and the Catholic Church has issues with divorce. Be smart: if you’re going to marry an Igbo woman, marry one who is a Catholic; it reduces her chances of leaving you by about 50%.

You may wish to ask why none of the above is often the case when an Igbo woman marries an Igbo man… well, I don’t know. Perhaps the Igbo man knows how to be ‘oga’ over the Igbo woman and has refused to share the secret with aliens.

Anyways, is your couch free for the night? Surely there’s no way I’m going home to that woman tonight after all this…

The Serbian world number two fought back from the dead to beat the Scot 5-7 7-6(11) 6-3 and prevent Murray from winning the title for a third successive season.

Murray served for the match in the second set, earning a match point as he did so, and had four more chances to close out the match in the 24-minute tie-break that followed.

But it was Djokovic who came through, growing stronger throughout as Murray appeared increasingly tired, the Serb avenging his defeats by the Scot in both the Olympics and the US Open this summer.

"It was a thrilling match...very long - three-and-a-half hours for best of three is quite long. But I have got used to it," Djokovic said.

"Whenever I play Andy I know it's going to be a gruelling fight, a lot of long rallies. It could have gone either way.

"I could not say I dominated the match because all three sets were very close and he had some match points and opportunities to finish the match. I could have easily been a runner-up today but I'm very proud of my fight."

In the early stages the Scot took charge of the match as he came out on top of a thrilling and wildly fluctuating first set that saw seven breaks of serve.

The last of those proved most telling as Djokovic lost the 11th game of the set from 40-0 ahead - prompting the Serb to smash his racquet to pieces on the court - before Murray served out for the set.

With both players somehow finding their timing on serve between the sets the match then became a much cagier affair.

But it was Murray who grabbed the first break opportunity as Djokovic lost concentration while serving at 3-3, gifting Murray two break points.

The world number three grabbed the opportunity at the first time of asking, and as the rest of the set right up until the point that he stood at match point, at 40-30 and 5-4 ahead.

Yet Djokovic was not done: he saved the match point by hitting a wonderful shot between his legs before charging the net to force deuce with a dreamlike drop shot, earned a break point with a winner into the corner on the next point and was then the beneficiary as Murray blasted a simple forehand long with the court at his mercy.

The set then headed for a tie-break which proved to be just as epic as their tie-break at the US Open last month. Both players had several chances to win it, and each missed shots under pressure to let the set out of their grasp, but it was Djokovic who held his nerve to win it 13-11.

This time it was Murray's turn to destroy a racquet in bitter frustration, an understandable release of tension having seen five match points slip through his fingers.

The anger of the world number three did not help him, however, with Djokovic forcing him to deuce on each of his first three service games in the final set.

And the breakthrough came in the seventh game as Murray slipped 15-40 down tired, sloppy fashion as he hit three successive shots long under no pressure at all, before conceding the break by netting with a simple forehand on the very next point.

That left Djokovic in control of both set and match, and after holding serve he then broke a tired-looking Murray once again to bring the three hour 20 minute match to a close.

many
papers. He walked up to a
policeman and said, "Mister, you wouldn't happen
to know where a poor boy could
find a warm place to sleep tonight
would you? You see, I sleep in a box up
around the corner there and
down the alley and
it's awful cold in there, of a night.
Sure would be nice to have a
warm place to stay." The policeman looked down at
the little boy and said, "You go
down the
street to that big white house and
you knock on the door. When they
come out the door you just say John
3:16 and they will let you in." So he did, he walked up the steps
to the door, and knocked on the
door and a
lady answered. He looked up and
said, "John 3:16." The lady said "Come on in, Son."
She took him in and she sat him
down in a
split bottom rocker in front of a
great big old fire place and she
went off. He sat there for a while, and
thought to himself "John 3:16.... I
don't
understand it, but it sure makes a
cold boy warm."
Later she came back and asked him "Are you hungry?" He said, "Well, just a little. I haven't
eaten in a couple of days and I
guess I could stand a little bit of
food." The lady took him in the
kitchen
and sat him down to a table full of wonderful food. He ate and ate
until he
couldn't eat any more. Then he
thought to himself "John 3:16...Boy, I sure
don't understand it, but it sure
makes a hungry boy full." She took him upstairs to a
bathroom to a huge bathtub filled
with warm water
and he sat there and soaked for a
while. As he soaked, he thought
to himself, "John 3:16... I sure don't
understand it, but it sure makes a
dirty
boy clean. You know, I've not had
a bath, a real bath, in my whole
life. The only bath I ever had was
when I stood in front of that big
old fire
hydrant as they flushed it out."
The lady came in and got him, and
took him to a room and tucked him into a
big old feather bed and pulled the
covers up around his neck and
kissed him
goodnight and turned out the
lights. As he laid in the darkness and looked
out the window at the snow
coming down on that cold night he thought to
himself, "John 3:16... I don't
understand it, but it sure makes a tired boy
rested." The next morning she came back
up and took him down again to
that same big
table full of food. After he ate she
took him back to that same big
old
split bottom rocker in front of the
fireplace and she took a big old
Bible and sat down in front of him and
she looked up at and she asked
"Do you
understand John 3:16?" He said, "No, Ma'am, I don't. The
first time I ever heard it was last
night
when the policeman told me to
use it." She opened her Bible to John
3:16 , and she began to explain to
him about
Jesus. Right there in front of that
big old fire place he gave his heart
and life to Jesus. He sat there and
thought, "John 3:16. I don't
understand it,but it sure makes a lost boy
feel safe."
You know, I have to confess I don't understand it either, how
God would be
willing to send His Son to die for
me, and how Jesus would agree
to do such
a thing. I don't understand it either, but it sure does make Life
worth
living. John 3:16 - 18
16. For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten
Son, that
whosoever believeth in him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17.
For God sent not his Son into the
world to condemn the world; but
that the
world through him might be
saved. 18. He that believeth on him is not
condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already,
because he hath
not believed in the name of the
only begotten Son of God.

The Daily Mail reports that the Chelsea star has rejected the offer of a one-year contract extension, and will make this his last season with the Blues.

Real Madrid and Paris St Germain - currently managed by Cole's former bosses Jose Mourinho and Carlo Ancelotti - are already lining up negotiations with the 31-year-old, the report claims.

But there's another even more intriguing possibility raised:Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson is reportedly very keen to bring the England left-back to Old Trafford.

Yet despite the Mail's certainty that Cole is off, Paper Round can't help thinking there's a very good chance that this could be little more than a negotiating tactic. Reports last week confirmed that Chelsea are sticking to a new policy of refusing deals of more than one year to players over 30, and Cole - who is still at the height of his powers - could just be calling his paymasters' bluff.

An equally high-profile defender could also be on the move from Old Trafford as Nemanja Vidic is tipped by the Daily Star to be leaving Manchester United.

Big-spending Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are said to be preparing a bid for the United skipper that would offer him £250,000-a-week after tax, a tempting offer for a player who turns 31 at the weekend.

Tottenham look like being busy in January, with the Daily Mirror reporting that the North London clubs are scouting Feyenoord midfielder Jordy Clasie and Borussia Monchengladbachmidfielder Patrick Herrmann.

The same paper claims that Chelsea are keen on Lazio midfielder Senad Lulic, though they face competition from Bayern Munich.

Aston Villa have denied that Darren Bent will leave in January over his rumoured rift with manager Paul Lambert, according to the Daily Express.

The Daily Mirror runs quotes from Manchester United back-up goalkeeper Tomasz Kuszczakin which the player manages to insult both his former and new employers by saying that he only moved to Brighton because Alex Ferguson blocked him from going to a rival Premier League side.

Kuszczak claims that United priced him at £5m, despite only having a year left on his contract, and that he was offered the chance to play top-level European football overseas by a string of clubs including CSKA Moscow and Olympiakos - but he plumped for Brighton solely because he wanted to stay in England. Bet Seagulls fans are delighted that their new goalie is so pleased to be with them.

And finally, Premier League boss Richard Scudamore tells this morning's Daily Telegraph that the top flight is considering the introduction of a mid-season winter break - but that the only way to shoehorn it into the calendar would be by scrapping FA Cup replays.

Needless to say the FA would not be happy to give the League even more of a stranglehold over the English game, but Scudamore is unrepentant.

"Unless somebody is prepared to give something it is pretty hard," he explains, before detailing exactly why it won't be the Premier League who back down: "We are not inclined to reduce the number of clubs in the Premier League - if you were running a theatre and had 380 nights that you wanted to sell, why would you throw 60 or 70 of those nights away?"

Armed robbers opened fire on a group of people as they left prayers at a mosque in the northern Nigerian state of Kaduna on Sunday, killing about 20, a military spokesman said.

A resident reported that the gunmen were disguised in police uniforms as they stormed the mosque in the village of Dogon Dawa just before sunrise, shooting both those still worshiping within the building as well as some outside.

“It is a clear case of armed robbery” Lieutenant Colonel Sani Usman told AFP, confirming the shooting. “The last time I spoke with my (contact) in the area, he said it was 20 people dead.” Religiously divided Kaduna has seen waves of sectarian violence in recent months.

Suicide bombings at three churches in June that were claimed by Islamist group Boko Haram sparked reprisal violence by Christian mobs who killed dozens of their Muslim neighbours, burning some of their victims’ bodies.

Muslim groups also formed mobs and killed several Christians. Usman however told AFP that the latest attack was linked to a running feud between a group of “bandits” and a vigilante group in Dogon Dawa.

The thieves had tried to rob some residents earlier in the week but were repelled, he said, adding that the robbers returned to the village on Sunday and carried out what he termed a “revenge” attack.

Asked about a potential religious element in the shootings, he said only that “the victims were coming from prayers” at the mosque.

Village resident Dauda Maikudi told AFP that thieves regularly target the area as Dogon Dawa falls along a main road frequently used by traders carrying goods and cash between the north and south of Africa’s most populous country.

“It was a pre-dawn raid,” he said. “The attackers…, some of them dressed in police uniform, came into the village. They killed eight worshipers in the mosque and killed 13 other residents in the village.”

“We believe they were armed robbers because this area has been bedeviled with armed robbers for years,” he added. Maikudi’s higher death toll and details of the gunmen’s clothing could not be immediately confirmed by the security services.

Dogon Dawa is roughly 70 kilometres (44 miles) from the state capital Kaduna city. Violent robbery is common on Kaduna’s notoriously dangerous major roadways, with attackers often setting up roadblocks and targeting their victims under the cover of darkness.

People view the wealth of men of God from different angles. While some think there’s nothing bad living a good life filled with abundant wealth, others believe men of God are just suppose to have enough, and that their calling doesn’t require excess.

Whichever way you choose to look at this, everyone has a right to their opinion.
Here are the five pastors Forbes think are the richest in Nigeria.

1. Bishop David Oyedepo

Affiliation: Living Faith World Outreach Ministry, aka Winners Chapel

Estimated net worth: $150 million

David Oyedepo is Nigeria’s wealthiest preacher. Ever since he founded the Living Faith World Outreach Ministry in 1981, it has grown to become one of Africa’s largest congregations. The Faith Tabernacle, where he hosts three services every Sunday, is Africa’s largest worship center, with a seating capacity of 50,000. Oyedepo owns four private jets and homes in London and the United States. He also owns Dominion Publishing House, a thriving publishing company that publishes all his books (which are often centered on prosperity). He founded and owns Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s leading tertiary institutions, and Faith Academy, an elite high school.

2. Chris Oyakhilome
Church: Believers’ Loveworld Ministries, a.k.a Christ Embassy
Estimated net worth: $30 million – $50 million

Last year, the charismatic preacher was at the center of a $35 million money laundering case in which he was accused of siphoning funds from his church to foreign banks. Pastor Chris pleaded no wrongdoing and the case was eventually dismissed. His church, Christ Embassy, boasts more than 40,000 members, several of whom are successful business executives and politicians. Oyakhilome’s diversified interests include newspapers, magazines, a local television station, a record label, satellite TV, hotels and extensive real estate. His Loveworld TV Network is the first Christian network to broadcast from Africa to the rest of the world on a 24 hour basis.

3. Temitope Joshua

Church: Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN)

Estimated net worth: $10 million – $15 million

Nigeria’s most controversial clergyman is also one of its richest and most philanthropic. T.B Joshua heads the Synagogue Church of all Nations (SCOAN), a congregation he founded in 1987, which accommodates over 15,000 worshippers on Sundays. The Pastor has remained controversial for several years for his inexplicable powers to heal all sorts of incurable diseases, including HIV/AIDS, cancer and paralysis. For miracle-craving worshippers, it’s the perfect seduction. The church currently has branches in Ghana, the United Kingdom, South Africa, and Greece. In the past three years, he has given over $20 million to causes in education, healthcare and rehabilitation programs for former Niger Delta militants. He owns Emmanuel TV, a Christian television network, and is close friends with Ghanaian President Atta Mills.

4. Matthew Ashimolowo

Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC)

Estimated net worth: $6 million – $10 million

In 1992, Foursquare Gospel Church, a Nigerian church, sent Ashimolowo to open a satellite branch in London. But Pastor Matthew had other ideas and decided to set up his own church instead. Today, his Kingsway International Christian Center is reportedly the largest Pentecostal church in the United Kingdom. In 2009, the church posted profits of close to $10 million and assets worth $40 million. Ashimolowo earns an annual salary of $200,000, but his real wealth comes from varied business interests including his media company, Matthew Ashimolowo media, which churns out Christian literature and documentaries. Ashimolowo’s representatives did not respond to a request confirming his net worth and ownership of all these assets.
5. Chris Okotie

Church: Household of God Church

Net worth: $3 million -$10 million

Pastor Okotie made his first success as a popular pop musician in the 80s. He found the light, embraced the bible and set up the Household of God Church, one of Nigeria’s most flamboyant congregations. His 5,000 member church consists predominantly of Nollywood celebrities, musicians, and society people. He contested and lost Nigerian presidential elections for the third time this year under the Fresh Party, a political party he founded and funds. An automobile lover, he owns a Mercedes S600, Hummer and Porsche among several others.

After his lackluster performance at the first presidential debate, President Obama is making some “adjustments” and will be more “aggressive” in his second face-off with Republican nominee Mitt Romney, senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod said today.

“Nobody’s a harsher critic than the president is of himself and he viewed the [debate] tape,” Axelrod said on “Fox News Sunday.” “I think he’s going to make some adjustments on Tuesday.”

Axelrod would not detail any strategic changes that the president might be making, but said he’s “going to be aggressive in making the case for his view of where we should go as a country.”

Appearing on CNN’s “State of the Union,” senior Obama campaign adviser Robert Gibbs said the president was “disappointed” in his performance in Denver.

“He didn’t meet his own expectations,” he said. “He knew when he walked off that stage, and he also knew as he’s watched the tape of that debate, that he’s got to be more energetic. I think you’ll see somebody who is very passionate about the choice that our country faces, and putting that choice in front of voters.”

Expect the president to continue to attack Romney for his changing positions. In the two weeks since the first debate, the president’s campaign has tried to cast the GOP nominee as an extreme conservative trying to reinvent himself as a moderate in the run-up to the election.

Gibbs described Romney’s performance at the first debate as “magical and theatrical” because “for 90 minutes he walked away from a campaign he’d been running for more than six years previous to that.”

“We saw Governor Romney, sort of, serially walk away from his own proposals and certainly the president is going to be willing to challenge him on it as we saw the vice president challenge Paul Ryan,” Axelrod said.

The president is spending the three days leading up to the debate hunkered down with his advisers in Williamsburg, Va., where he is practicing and studying at a luxury resort.

Father of one of the students murdered by a mob at Aluu, River State, Mr. Mike Toku, has described as a deliberate cover-up the continued denial by members of the community that they had no hand in the killing of his son, Lloyd.

Toku insisted that his son and three other students of the University of Port Harcourt were tortured and killed by members of Omuokiri Aluu community in Ikwerre Local Government Area.

Speaking with our correspondent on Sunday, Toku said it was unfortunate that the community that murdered his son could deny being involved in the act.

He explained that the incident took place in the presence of members of the public and wondered why any Aluu indigene would want to deny the obvious.

He said, “To say they are not involved in the killing of my son is a big lie; it is a white lie and a cover-up for their wicked and unacceptable act. The incident did not take place in one of the community’s bush.

“They killed my son in a place that looked like a village square belonging to the community. While the killers were hitting my son and three other students, others stood and watched the incident.”

Toku, who insisted that his son was innocent of any crime he was accused of before being murdered, urged the police to arrest the killers of his son and those watching while the crime against the students was being committed.

Explaining that the police have yet to communicate with him on the matter, Toku said it was necessary that security agents did the right for justice to prevail.

Also, the late Tekena Erikena’s sister, Ann, said though she could not dictate to government what should be done; justice was all members of the family were demanding.

Describing her brother as a humble person, who had respect for people, Ann wondered why members of the community would brand him a thief and kill him.

She said, “I cannot dictate to government on what they should do, but what we want is justice. My brother was never a thief.”

Meanwhile, President, Academic Staff Union of Universities, Dr. Nasir Fagge, on Sunday described the killings of students in some parts of the country as unfortunate and condemnable.

Fagge told the News Agency of Nigeria in a telephone interview in Lagos that the union was worried and sad by the development.

He said the union had directed affected institutions to investigate the incidents and that it was waiting for the outcome before taking appropriate steps.

He said, “We have asked our members in the affected institutions to give us information but whatever it is, it is a condemnable act.

“This is part of what the union has been canvassing– that Federal Government should fund universities adequately so that they can be in a position to provide accommodation on campus for students.

“With adequate funding, we can make our environment more secure.”

Fagge noted that the requirement for every institution was that, at least, 35 per cent of its students should be accommodated on campus.

He added that ASUU was pushing for at least 50 per cent of students to be accommodated on campus.

Contrary to reports that the first lady, Patience Jonathan was certified fit and due to return to the country a few days ago, there
are indications that her medical handlers are still not satisfied with her condition, necessitating the delay in approving her discharge from hospital.

Sources say President Goodluck Jonathan had, during his visit to the Horst Schmidt Klinik in Germany to see the first lady, suggested she should be moved to an undisclosed hotel to continue her treatment, but the request was turned down by her doctors who insisted she should remain in the hospital.

Further reports suggest that all security aides attached to Patience Jonathan in the German hospital have been directed to move to an undisclosed hotel so as to prevent further leakage of information as to the health status of the ailing first lady.

Sources say the president’s decision was not unconnected with the information about President Jonathan’s secret visit to his wife which got leaked to journalists shortly after he arrived in New York for the just concluded 67th Session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

Apparently confirming the authenticity of the leaked conversation, Dr SID asked NET to ‘upload the full conversation’ while informing us that it was Davido, not Wande Coal he had that particular discussion with.

SID took to Twitter last night, to clarify that it was NOT Wande Coal’s voice but pop singer Davido‘s that was in the leaked recording.

‘@theNetng before I respond to ur post please upload the full convo and for the record the person u call wande coal is actually @iam_davido‘, @IamDrSID wrote on his Twitter page.

It is now being rumoured that the leak was orchestrated by former Mo’Hits hype man Edward Chukuma-Jiah better known as Special Ed who may have been present when Dr SID was arguing with Davido. We could not immediately confirm this.

The motive? Special Ed along with Davido have since parted ways with the MAVIN crew after issues came up over trying to score a Wande Coal collaboration on his debut album ‘Omo Baba Olowo: The Genesis‘. Special Ed is seen with Davido and the HKN crew – in his videos and several locations, and he still works the stage with D’banj.

A few minutes after NET broke the story, Special Ed tweeted ‘U know say! @ d end of the day I will alwaiz b ah bad man!!!!‘ Davido immediately retweeted him.

Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar, has received the video tape of the alleged bribery transaction involving Mr. Farouk Lawal, former Chairman, House of Representatives Probe Panel, from the State Security Service, SSS, and commenced further investigation of the scandal.

This was sequel to the directive by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke, that the report submitted by the Police Special Task Force probing the $620,000 subsidy bribe scandal, be re-investigated and grey areas cleared.

It was gathered that since the receipt of the video and commencement of investigation to clear grey areas, there had been immense pressure on the IGP by some members of the House of Representatives, prominent northern citizens and politicians.

Accusations that the bribery scam issue was allegedly a set up by the Presidency to rubbish the integrity of the House have also resurfaced.

Vanguard gathered that Lawal had continued to report to the police every two days and signs attendance register, though the police are in a fix as to whether to join Femi Otedola, the complainant as a suspect.

As a result of the pressure, Vanguard gathered that the dexterity and sense of purpose with which the police hierarchy was pursuing the case may be waning as even the Presidency that earlier wanted a quick resolution of the bribery scam, may have backed down on the matter.

Femi Kuti who is known to be very conservative, TV shy and rarely leaves the Shrine save for few select performances in Nigeria and world tours, has agreed to be a judge on Nigerian Idol.

“I am honoured to be part of Nigerian Idol, a show that discovers talents across the country in music. Saying I love music is like saying snow is white. I'd like to be part of moulding many more talents with Nigerian Idol, this year.” - The three-time Grammy Award nominee said.

Now here's another reason to watch the show!

Greed, personal ambition, quest to be popular ahead of others are some of the factors that led to the "untimely" collapse of the Mo'Hits Records group, an audio conversation has revealed. Leak 1 click HERE
leak 2 click HERE

Just when we were thinking the D’banj versus Don Jazzy saga was ending, yet another controversy has come up; this time former Mo’Hits-now-MAVIN act, Dr SID, plays the leading role in the ‘never-ending’ controversy
.

Further findings have revealed that Mo'Hits collapsed because the small boys in the house, Dr Sid in particular, wanted to grow faster than his shadow and might have indirectly pushed Don Jazzy into taking some wrong decisions.

A secret recording which has leaked is now giving a little more insight as to why the former ‘super group’ broke up with bosses – D’banj and Don Jazzy parting ways.

Dr SID in the recording, listened to by Olufamous.com, was heard talking in a rather upset tone about how D’banj’s personality was over-shining his and the rest of the crew members.

"Why don’t they know my name? Because your brand and star is too much. It is overshadowing", Dr SID angrily said in the recording.

Young singer, Davido, who was part of the discussion, however had another opinion; he argued back and forth with Dr SID, explaining that it was D’banj that actually brought Dr SID and others to the limelight.

"Guuuy, it’s not that, D’banj can help anybody, ….If not for D’banj nobody would have looked at Wande, guy I dey lie?" Davido stressed.

According to NET, it is a well known fact that Dr SID and D’banj have been having inside brawls even though he (D’banj) was the one that brought Dr SID into Mo’Hits.

Several sources insist Dr SID was one of the persons who engineered the Mo’Hits split and he wanted to always be as big as D’banj. Wande was content as the fan favourite, D’Prince is okay as long as his elder brother makes the money.
