Kwebang Lampas: Virgin Beach in Pagbilao, Quezon

Blue clear waters, white sand, privacy and serenity, and a cave; there are a lot of beaches in the Philippines that have these traits and features but finding them all in one single place is pretty rare. Most white beaches are already commercialized making it pretty hard to find a place that’s not crowded especially when you’re looking for an escape from the all the routines and redundancy of the city.

So let us take you to a place where all the elements I mentioned intertwine with each other giving birth to this tiny paradise just outside Manila…

Kwebang Lampas is an under-developed and privately owned beach situated in the heart of Pagbilao, Quezon. Depending on the traffic on South Luzon Expressway the travel time is between three hours to four hours from the central Manila area if you’re on a private car and about half an hour more commuting. The way to the place is a little confusing so it’s recommended to plot the course and bring a road map before heading there. We started asking the townsfolk about the ‘power plant’ when we arrived at Pagbilao proper since Kwebang Lampas is near it.

Upon reaching Pagbilao, we eventually came across a junction with a huge modern sign on it (see image below). Turn right on the junction and keep following the concrete road to reach the power plant. We passed through Quipot Bridge which brought us to Brgy. Ilayang Polo at Pagbilao Grande Island. Then a bit more drive, and the road lead us to Sityo Capalos where the main entrance to the power plant is located. The power plant is a little far so do not think that you might be lost because you’ll see the plant’s chimney (see image below) which is pretty high so you won’t miss it.

There are two routes to the beach when you arrive at the power plant. First is through the plant itself when you are granted permission by the security which you can ask at the gate. The other one is the longer route and the path we took. We asked for direction to ‘Kwebang Lampas’ from the locals in the area and pointed us further down the road. Then, we came across a guard’s house which asked us to sign a logbook. This was the indication that we have entered a private area and probably owned by the Lu Kang’s themselves. Asphalts have ended and the road has turned into a rough and dirt path, cows and goats roam the area and vast plains, lakes and mountains are all you can see beside the plant. We kept following the dirt trail until we stumble upon a tiny settlement at the edge of the lake.

We took a little break here and parked our car, the next trail is too narrow for any vehicle so we gathered our things and continued on foot. A few meters of walk and you’ll see the other gate of the power plant; this is where the two routes merge into one again. The trail widens again and cars can pass through for approximately another 500m which means less walking if we took the first route. But more trekking and exercise is more fun anyway. :)

The outfall ends eventually and the next path becomes inaccessible for all vehicles. Rock formations sandy shores starts to show and meld with the greens.

There’s a shorter way adjacent the huge rocks along the shores but the water is too high for us to take that route so we turned left and took another trail in the woods. Be careful of the thorny branches of the trees here.

After this short trail you would see a clearing on top of a grassy mound, continue walking on the most obvious path. The next trail is a stony path that stretches for quite a distance then you will encounter a swamp. Here, you will see the entrance to the beach; a steel locked gate. You would need to knock and yell a bit to call on the attention of the caretaker and pay the entrance fee upfront.

When the gate opened, I found myself underneath the numerous canopies of coconut trees that only gave way to a few streaks of sunlight. As I stood there, my ears were searching for the sound of waves…assuming we’re already really close to the sea; I didn’t hear any. So I started to walk deeper to survey the area. Finally, I saw some huts that look like beach cottages, the trees thinned, and the sole of my feet began to feel sands filling my sandals, and the bluish clear waters of the sea finally met my eye.

The sea was so peaceful that day; no wonder I didn’t hear the sounds of rolling waves. And even though the sun was hidden, the sea still glistens underneath the cloudy sky.

Several huts lay across the shore that can be rented for Php200.00 to Php400.00 depending on size. White sand and fine green grass meld into each other creating a nice contrast of colors and texture across the beach. There were also a few wild flowers that can be seen not far from the cottages; they were colorful enough that my ‘GF’ took a few minutes to appreciate all of them. We also encountered a blue starfish on the shore, I admit this was the first starfish that I saw really close so it was pretty exciting. We were tempted to take it home but we decided otherwise and brought it back to the sea. Kwebang Lampas is bounded by hills at both ends almost forming cove. The hill on the right side (facing the sea) is where the cave is located. It opens at about four meters wide and stretches for a few meters until it opens again to the vast sea. The floor is full of different sized stones and a number of jellyfish roams in the area. There were huge rocks near the caves that you can traverse to reach it when the tide is high.

There are many shells of different sizes and colors that can be picked up on the shore which is what most of our companions on this trip did. This and the some coarse white sand near the grass area are indications that the beach isn’t older than most white sand beaches here in the Philippines but the if you aren’t fond of crowded beach then you’ll like ‘Kwebang Lampas’ better. There’s only one other group that’s using the beach besides us and it was a holiday; it’s probably the long trek and the fact that it’s not commercial that not many people go to this place even if they know about the beach already. But those long treks are so worth it once you behold the beauty and tranquility of this tiny virgin paradise.

We stayed on the beach for five hours but it felt like we did an overnight…Literally. When we we’re heading for the next beach to visit and we we’re talking with each other, we were talking about ‘yesterday’s event’ which was actually the same day! We enjoyed so much that we actually thought that we spent a whole day at ‘Kwebang Lampas’.

Verdict:

If you don’t mind trekking a bit and lack of power and potable water in the area, this place is definitely worth another visit!

PASEO DE STA.ROSA..THE PLACE TO BE!

Growing up in the metro, I got used to places where I can hang-out with my friends so relocating to Sta. Rosa, I foresee a boring life in Laguna. But when we finally moved…tada! Paseo de Sta. Rosa was my relief! It was just like in the Eastwood Citywalk or in Blue Wave Strip. The ambiance and architecture feels the same and has a central activity area for concerts and other events. Paseo is under Greenfield Development Corporation and this is their prime icon of commercial and lifestyle center in Sta. Rosa.

Why wouldn’t I like this place? A place to have a cup of coffee, to relax, to eat and to party with friends. Notable restaurants and Coffee shops here are Starbucks, Cafe Breton, Brother’s Burger, Yellow Cab, Shakey’s, Razon’s, Pancake House and Kanin Club, which is a blockbuster. Fast food chains like Jollibee, Chowking and Greenwich are also available here. At night time, The Promenade is alive with music events at the outdoor bar & restaurants. You can choose from El Simon, Spirits and Sitio Bar or at Adelaida. You can go around the place to see other bars like Guily’s island. Aside from the gimikan and the restos, great bargains await you. Outlet stores are here, like, Crocs, All Flip Flops, Levi’s, Sports Hub, United Colors of Benetton, Sisley, Gas, Speedo, Adidas, Nike,etc. With the constant 50% discount on items, you’ll find it hard not to buy something. You'd definitely Looovvee to look around and shop!

They are currently expanding their business to a more upgraded version on phase 4.There are also new flavors coming up: Sugarhouse and my favorite TOSH (The Old Spaghetti House). Plus, high-end outlet stores of Marks and Spencer and DEBENHAMS will also be joining the pack.

If you’re from Manila, it is 1 1/2 hour travel without traffic. You can ride JAM or BBL Bus from Buendia going to Balibago or GT express in SM Makati or Starmall Shaw Blvd. You can go there riding a tricycle after the Santa Rosa exit or by jeep in Balibago Complex going to Tagaytay which will take 15-20 mins. If you have a car, drive through South Luzon Expressway and take Santa Rosa Exit which is after the Caltex Gas Station-Mamplasan. After the exit turn right and go straight, you’ll pass by Laguna Bel-Air and closely you’ll see Caltex station on your right and across that is PASEO DE STA. ROSA. If you’re planning to go here, ready yourselves and your pockets for you will never know what you will be bringing home with you.

Chikurin Tei: Authentic Japanese Cuisine

My daily office lunch breaks have been boring for quite some time now. The usual canteen menu isn’t bad but routinely having it for lunch can really dull your taste buds so I opted to “hunt” for food somewhere else and it was difficult because Madrigal Business Park doesn’t cater a lot of choices.

Yet, lo and behold, across the park lies a hidden authentic Japanese restaurant!

INTERIORS & AMBIANCE:

It wasn’t fast food type and it wasn’t Class A restaurant as well. It was a cozy restaurant standing along the line of canteens but upon entering we knew that there was something that the place boasts of hence the amount of customers.

There was a mini-Japanese fountain with bamboo similar to those you see on anime (Japanese cartoons). It wasn’t working but I guess the objective was more of a tableu depicting Japanese scenery more than a fully-functional fountain. There were also “mangas” and Japanese magazines and broadsheets you could read on stack while waiting for food to be served, that is if you can read Kanji.

If you’re dining with a large group or having a meeting, there were three private rooms you could choose from. It has one big table with sitting futons as chairs as to sit seiza-style. I was guessing that they cater mostly for Japanese business men, but then I thought, it was a great opportunity to try it without going to pricey restaus in the metro or travelling to Japan.

Everything in the place was Japanese! The bamboo walls, the esque shoji screen doors (Japanese door) and the sushi bar. Not authentic materials though but for ambiance, it has achieved its intended purpose.

SERVICE:

When we sat, a Filipina waitress on a “sushi chef” outfit greeted us with the menu, sanitized towelette and an appetizer containing bamboo shoots and carrot strips. We placed our orders and waited for, give and take, 20 minutes. Rather slow for us since we were really hungry and has to compress time for lunch break.

FOOD:

At last the food arrived. We ordered from their lunch bento meal which included iced tea, soup and dessert. I had tonkatsu (pork) as the main dish which has a complementary cabbage strips, cucumbers and tomato. The three remaining portions of my bento box were Japanese Rice , ala Tokyo Tokyo bean sprouts and mixed veggie (only ChikuRin’s are fresher and cooked better ) and chilled tofu with raw tuna.

My partner had chicken teriyaki with Japanese Rice, fried mixed veggie and coated crab meat.

VERDICT:

If you have been eating at a Japanese fast food chain, you’ll find ChikuRin Tei refreshing. It was as authentic as it can get. Main difference will probably be the freshness of every cuisine. I’m not the best in testing freshness but comparing constructively the taste, the appearance and the overall effect of the dish, I’m confident that it is.

Another good thing about the ChikuRin was the appetizer that was served randomly. It can be bamboo shoots today and okra strips the next. So was the dessert. Even if you visit on two consecutive days, you’ll still be surprised on what you’ll be having.

Since Japanese Rice was usually served in Japanese restaurants, I expected to know the consistency and taste already yet I found it interestingly tastier. You can taste the sake without trying yet it wasn’t strong enough to topple the other tastes of your order.

You will also distinguish the great difference of the bean sprouts. It was not your usual soggy, oily mixed vegetables. It was fresh and a little saucy with a unique saltiness and basic vegetable taste. Even if you’re not a big fan of vegetables, you’ll like it.

I would also need to commend the Tonkatsu because pork is pork end-of-story usually but not for ChikuRin. For them, Tonkatsu was crispiness on the outside and tender lean meat on the inside. For them, it was fried in an amazingly perfect timing. There was no taste of oil or greasiness whatsoever. It was like cooked in low fire letting the heat sip into the pork without overcooking the bread crumbs.

The restaurant was a healthy place without trying. You could eat a lot and get full without the guilty feeling. Every serving was balanced and complemented by a dish --- pork countered by cucumber, cabbage strips and tomato.

For the price of PHP245/head without the mandatory service charge, it was worth checking out. It might not be a usual trip to ChikuRIn Tei for my lunch break but I’ll absolutely come back.

BATANGAS: Sabangan

SABANGAN is a Filipino-themed resort at the beachfront of Laiya, Batangas. Only a 2 ½ hours travel from Manila which makes it a very convenient place for abrupt unwinding and escape from the city.

Check in time was 2pm, but since we arrived earlier than expected, Sabangan were nice enough to let us stay at the pavilion. The pavilion has a billiard table, a foosball table, a tumba-tumba and seats to rest. They also lent us a rice cooker and barbecue grill so we could prepare lunch as we wait for our check-in time. As we prepare food, they were cleaning our reserved two-bedroom bungalow, and just for the record, they were really clean down to the last dust.

Beds were nice, smells clean and comfortable. Room 1 has two beds, a reserved futon and a TV which was a major PLUS. The other room has one large bed and a reserved futon. Both were air-conditioned. All-in-all, nine of us were able to squeeze in to two large rooms. Cherry on top was the WiFi availability. It gave us the chance to do some internet stuff during down time and emergency email checks.

On the porch, there were two tables we were able to use, a two-burner electric stove, a refrigerator, a kitchen sink, cabinets and a wash room. There was even a place to hang wet clothes. These little details on the accommodation lifted us from worries like utensils, food preparation and storage.

At the beachfront, lined parasols were waiting for us and it’s FREE. The sand was well-maintained and manicured all the time, we wouldn't really have noticed until we've stepped on the rake tracks. It was only Sabangan that had their sands raked regularly among the all the beachfronts we've walked through.

The beach was exquisite. It was the blue green waters that give you a glimpse of aquatic paradise. Large waves greeted us, kind of expected since we came on a windy August (with threats of pours). But good thing the sun shone brightly for the whole day though it didn’t tame the waves. Because of this, it kept most of us near the shore trying to brave the current. It was actually fun wrestling with the waves, a little tiring but physically challenging and thrilling. After, we were still able to enjoy the view and the beach.

The next morning, we walked from the beachfront of Sabangan all the way to the big rocks at the end of the shore. The guards actually warned us not to loiter and standby on other resort’s beachfront but since we were only passing by, we were tolerated. The sand wasn’t a Boracay contender since it was artificial white sand but it was pleasant enough to walk on, especially Sabangan’s. I should know because I lost a flip-flop from the big waves and my partner and I had to take turns walking barefooted noticing even the little strayed gravel.

The resort also offered a massage so I instantly grabbed it. We had it, not on the patio which was an option, but on the lounge seats covered with a futon under the comfy parasols right at the beachfront. Well, if you’re ready to reveal a little skin for public viewing, you should try it. (There weren’t too many people so it was ok for me.) The sound of the sea waves rushing to the sand made the relaxation and ambiance top notch. It was like being cradled by Poseidon himself, swear! The massage itself was heaven. It was formulated, as usual, but they don’t stop on areas until the stress bubbles disappear. So overall, I was dozing in the middle of the massage because it was so stress-relieving and simply divine. They needed to nudge me a little to mark the end of the session.

Overall, Sabangan is definitely something you should visit and revisit. It is an impromptu answer to your backbreaking weekdays.

TWO SIDES OF A COIN: 2010 Philippines Presidentiables

Five months to go until 2010 Philippines Election; Have you got a candidate on mind already? or better yet, have you registered already? Last registration is this month, we should make our vote count if we plan to change the way things work in our country.

As we decide which candidate to vote, I hope that we base it on what we know about them, what they have done in the past, and what our conscience tells us. Let me tell you the things that plays on my mind when I think of our presidentiables.

(The author states that this article may or may not be unbiased, and so should not be considered 'Neutral Point of View'. This is based on the author’s opinion and observations. Order is based on the recent august 2009 Pulse Asia survey, some candidates aren't taken into account due to the author's limited knowledge on them)

VILLAR, Manuel "Manny" Jr.

Villar has been both successful businessman and political figure. He has been featured in various magazines such as 'Far Eastern Economic Review', 'Asiaweek', and 'Forbes'. His Business portfolio has the 'Star Malls' & 'Camella Homes' while on his political career I can pretty much say that he has done fairly well as a congressman of Las Piñas. He also has the program helping OFWs who's been having trouble with their employers; but recently he's been entangled with issues regarding using his position to further his business agenda.

Heads (positive thoughts)

* Improve the economy using his knowledge in business.
* Implement programs for the benefit of the poor because he feels them.
* Having billions worth of assets may mean less corruption and more projects.

Tails (negative thoughts)

* Use his powers for the benefit of his business.

ESTRADA, Joseph "Erap"

An accomplished actor during his time who has acquired a lot of awards for the many films he has done. In 1968, he ran for mayor in the municipality of San Juan but lost to another politician. His camp filed an electoral protest against the proclaimed mayor and was favored by the court and got the position after a year. He became mayor of San Juan for sixteen years until removed from office by the former Pres. Corazon Aquino for suspected malfeasance and anomalies. He won vice-presidency in 1992 then won The highest office after by a landslide vote. We all know what happened afterward but what we probably don't know are the many projects that he has implemented during his short reign.

Heads

* He might have been ganged up on during his time and was caught unprepared by major political moves that lead to his office's demise, maybe he has learned his lessons and will do so much better if given another chance.
* The amount of projects he has launched during his short term screams of his capability to do something and do it fast.

Tails

* His history is pretty consistent of negative things that makes one doubt his honesty.
* He promised Arroyo that he won't be running for office again when released, which is definitely a moot point now. This leads me to thinking, was his denial of all the criminal allegation on him a lie too?

DE CASTRO, Noli "Kabayan" L.

Kabayan is a famous news anchor from ABS-CBN who has criticized a lot of politicians but was also rumored to have been accepting money from some of them to keep quiet regarding issues. He was in broadcasting for 27 years before announcing his decision to run for senate. We may not hear of things he has accomplished during his time in senate or as vice-president but he has passed bills that are actually good in my opinion. He's explicitly saying that he won't be running for 2010 elections, so that takes him out of the list...if he stays true to his words that is.

Heads

* He will keep being productive without seeing the need for approval of the masses using campaigns and publicity of every project he has done.
* would probably be implementing more laws and projects for the environment, the poor, and the filipino family like his bills when he was still in the senate. These are the things that's said to be close to his heart.

Tails

* He will continue to be out of radar that people wouldn't even know what he has done for the country resulting in conflict. It's good the he doesn't publicize everything he do but too much silence makes you look like slacking.
* In the heat of political issues, he'll lose his demeanor, patience, and encourage rallies which was never good for the economy.

ESCUDERO, Francis "Chiz" G.

The UP professor that has charmed many people. He entered senate with the second highest vote count. He was the spokesperson of the late Fernando Poe Jr. during his candidacy. Francis is also the voice of the united opposition. He is the current chairman of the Senate Committee on Justice and Human Rights, Committee on Constitutional Amendments, Revision of Codes and Laws, and Committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies.

Heads

* A good run from an intelligent and charismatic person is expected. And being young just means fresh views, innovative solution and approach for the country's ancient problems.

Tails

* As the older politicians would say it, "He's too young and probably too inexperienced to be leading the country". Inexperience is pretty much a recipe for failure but there's always an exemption.

ROXAS, Manuel "Mar" A. II

Mr. Palengke first entered the political scene when he won the special election when his brother died. He was elected to the house of representative during 1993 where he authored at least four bills. He then was appointed as DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) secretary by 'Erap' administration. During this time he focused on the development of the 'Palengke' (where he got his nickname) then continued to support the consumers with the medicine prices adjustment bill. He has also spear-headed the program to give the public schools personal computers. He announced his candidacy for president along with the revelation of his marriage proposal to the news anchor Korina Sanchez. But recently he gave way for the presidency of 'Noynoy' and just considered becoming his running mate as vice president.

Heads

* He would capture the hearts of the masses if he continues with his lower-class friendly programs.

Tails

* He's too showbiz for me, biting every publicity stunts there is. He might become one of the few that would enter showbiz if he loses...
* My mom bought a medicine from his advertised pharmacy expecting that the medicine would be cheaper there but sadly it's not. Maybe the medicine my mother bought wasn't included in the discounted ones but it's a pretty commonly used med.

LEGARDA, Loren

A news anchor and colleague of Noli de Castro. She won with the highest vote count during her 1998 candidacy for senate. From 1998 - 2004 she has authored and co-authored a lot of bills and resolutions mostly benefiting women, children and environment. In 2004, she ran for vice-presidency and lost to her colleague and throws allegations of fraud on Noli's camp. She has shown bitterness about the issue since then.

Heads

* She was known to be an environmentalist and it's good to have laws and actually enforce them, maybe she could do it.

Tails

* I don't know if it's just me but she seems to be jumping on every opportunity of publicity which leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
* Her bitterness and sour-graping on her lost to Noli de Castro tells me that she won't be taking issues against her lightly.

FERNANDO, Bayani "BF"

A mechanical engineer who put up his own company and run for public in 1976 as a mayor of Marikina City. He transformed Marikina from a low class municipality into a model city. He then was appointed MMDA chairman by Pres. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Most of his project as a chairman of said department has displeased the poor and most of all the side-walk vendors, but despite the many controversies he continued to pursue what he thinks will be better for the streets of Metro Manila. He announced his candidacy for president on January 4, 2008. During this time up to the present, he has been in a lot of issues and debates that's not helping his reputation.

Heads

* With his history in Marikina and the major developments he's done with MMDA, he might actually be able to do lots of changes in the country.
* He'll push projects that will be better for the country even though some people thinks otherwise. That he won't falter on what he do just because of some political issues like his yardstick governance of Marikina and MMDA.

Tails

* As a designer, I'm not prepared to see the Philippines in 'google earth' in pink & blue.
* Somehow I don't think he'll last long in his position if he ever won and be ousted like erap. He tend to be prone to issues that can be used politically against him that might actually lead to his impeachment in the future.
* Lastly, This & this gives me an idea of the limitation of what BF can deliver for the country when the time comes.

VILLANUEVA, Bro. Eddie

Bro. Eddie is the famed leader of Jesus is Lord Movement who already lost in the last 2004 election. He hasn't proclaimed if he's running for 2010 but he's open for the possibility.

Heads

* Maybe the religious are right that it's nigh time for a spiritual person to lead us to prosperity. Various countries already had its share of successful religious leaders who revolutionized their country.

Tails

* He may be an economist and has been leading a lot of movements but his lack of experience in politics might pose problems. He may not be ready to face the angry mob and the rallies when he disappoints a handful of people, or that he might lose composure when oppositions starts making political moves against him. Maybe he should run for a lower office first.

TEODORO, Gilbert 'Gibo' C.

The standard bearer of the Lakas-Kampi-CMD as of September 16, 2009. During the deliberation, I can't help but think that BF threw the towel for Gibo's sure win because Bayani's answers are just laughable. The first time I saw Gilbert Teodoro's ad campaign in the television, I had no idea who he was and told myself "wow, running for the highest office and nobody knows him!" but as I did my research on him I was astounded by his background. Maybe he's really capable, it's just that his answer in the debate with BF isn't impressive either which probably ruined my first impression. I won't tell you the sides of the coin on this one but he's definitely someone to watch out for.

Now for the two most controversial personalities in the present time that isn't included in the Pulse Asia survey.

AQUINO, Benigno "Noynoy" S.

Son of the martial law hero and the first female president that has restored democracy in our country, fabled redeemer of the Philippines from it's problems and corruptions. At least this is what most of the people are feeling after the death of our beloved former president, but is he capable? Will he be able to fulfil the dreams of the Filipino people? Maybe heroism runs in his blood but what can one man do when rest of your people passes their yoke unto you..?

Heads

* Hopefully he will live up to the promise and dream that is attached to his family name.

Tails

* He has authored/co-authored only a few resolutions during his term as a congressman up to the present time in senate. Is that a sign of laziness? of apathy? or just silence? I don't know.

ARROYO, Gloria Macapagal "GMA"

Our current president who was allegedly been involved in many acts of corruption but also has done things like the huge roll-backs on prices especially petroleum products. She has also tried to make the Peso stronger but that didn't receive any good feedbacks from the families of OFWs. There is no way for her to run in 2010 elections but people seem to be afraid that she will find a way, maybe it was that she still stands tall despite the many attempts to dethrone her.

Heads

* She has done a lot of things that she thinks will be good for the the country, but definitely didn't appeal to the interest of the masses.
* Amidst the numerous attempts to impeach her and destroy her reputation, she's still the president and has continuously implement things that often than not has made the public dislike her more. Now if that doesn't define a strong president I don't know what will, of course none will agree with me on this.

Tails

* I can't help but notice that through out her term she has been appointing people that has done past favors for her...or maybe I'm just imagining things.
* GMA has done a lot of things that she didn't consider the consequences, or maybe she did but still end up ill-planned.
* First Gentleman Arroyo, enough said.

It’s quite sad that I’ve stopped listening to OPM (rock) music back in mid-2006, all the up and rising bands has the same sound for me mimicking what is profitable in mainstream. It doesn’t help that the albums from the non-rock genre (especially pop) was nothing but revived songs put together.

After the band’s six-year hiatus, the long awaited album was released last December 2008. Villains has been worked on by the band during 2007, it’s pretty unique from the other albums because they collaborated through online to build each song. The band was scattered all around the world at that time but still came up with this satisfying album except for Wolfe Gemora that is. That’s the only downside of the album in my opinion is not having their drummer on the project.

Ten songs and a hidden track to remind you how OPM heavy rock sounds like. I won’t tell you if the album rocks or not since I’d probably be biased because I’m a Wolfgang fanatic. But 11 nominations in the current NU107 rock awards should mean something.

Soap, Kung Gusto Mo Pa?, Ibrahim are three of the songs that are considered for the Song of the year category. Here’s a glimpse of them:
