Recently, I demonstrated how to become wildly flexible in your thinking and feeling about intense life situations as a way to gain peace within them.     A member later described how that exercise led to these real-life experiences that amazed and astounded her:

“This summer my husband and I went on our annual sailing vacation.  Because I have a lifelong fear of water after almost drowning as a kid,  I usually take books along to fill the time.  But this year I decided instead to experiment with the various consciousness techniques we’d been playing with in the Consciousness Playground.

One day, we encountered the worst weather I’ve ever experienced on the sea.  Normally I’d be freaked out.   Instead I did the exercise where you imagine the whole spectrum of possible outcomes – from the very worst to the very best (me falling overboard, captain getting hurt, hole in the boat, etc).   I neutralized each possibility, until I was in absolute calm.   When the decision was made to turn back, I realized I’d have been okay with any decision and while the ride was tumultuous, I had no worries or concerns crossing the angry seas.

A couple of days later, we decided to chance going out again.  After a couple of hours we could see a storm building up on land that seemed headed for the water and us.  Since we were about half-way to our destination, we decided to stay the course.  I repeated the exercise.   Suddenly, a funny thing happened.  We found ourselves in a calm bubble of weather.  We could see the storm behind us and we could see it ahead of us, but all around us the seas were calm. We stayed in this bubble all the way into port.  The dock master told us that it was the strangest thing; as the storm passed over town, it split in two – one part going north out to sea, the other south, thus creating our bubble.

Later I found that all of this practicing had prepared me to deal with a serious health emergency with my husband a few weeks later.   At first I was busy living in the drama (getting him to the ER, providing comfort as they did test after test, etc).  He got worse and worse until I pulled back from the drama and remembered to do the energy work.  I envisioned death, him bed-ridden forever, and the like at one end of the spectrum; full recovery at the other end.  Then it occurred to me that perhaps I could expand my vision of the best and envision a possibility that my husband’s experience could somehow reset his physical body and his overall health could improve.  

Sure enough, now he’s now totally recovered.   And his circulation has improved, his neuropathy is gone, and his blood pressure is normal.

The real gift of my experience is not the seeming miracles.  The real gift is experiencing that space of total neutrality.  

It’s akin to life slowing down so that you can experience the beauty and perfection of every moment, even if your preferences don’t manifest.”

While I can’t say that I don’t feel some concern when I have temporary physical discomfort, I worry not at all about serious health problems like cancer or heart disease. The last time I had a medical checkup, in 2000, I received so many negative suggestions about health and growing older that I felt it would not be beneficial to have another one.

You may wonder, have I always lived this way? The answer is no. Earlier in my life, I had regular medical checkups and believed that attention from health professionals was necessary for me to stay in good physical condition. The idea of having no health insurance was almost unthinkable.

Please understand that in sharing my views and experiences, I am NOT suggesting that other people should make the same choices. This is what works for me, based on my beliefs and preferences. These may not be the best choices for you, but the fact that I (and many others) actually live this way proves it is a viable option.

• Our location becomes irrelevant as Quantum Health Care resources exist outside the bounds of time and space.

• Within our new understanding that our bodies are a reflection of our consciousness, both practitioners and ‘regular’ people start to make unprecedented breakthroughs in the treatment of disease.

• Eventually we completely replace dis-ease with ease.

This is the new era of quantum health care we are on the fringe, the very fringe, of entering into.

“Everyone gets the face they deserve after age forty,” goes the saying. But is it really true?

I think not – at least, not for everyone. It seems that some people never have the face they “deserve,” even in youth.

As humans are expanding our awareness of what is possible – realizing we can create our world and our bodies in ways we prefer – this is changing. The Consciousness Playground (CP) theme since July has been Body Sculpting: changing one’s physical form through the use of consciousness alone. Yes, we can do this, and yes, we ARE doing this!

It is, in my view, about darn time.

The following story (true except for the names) illustrates how unfair life can apparently be in the realm of physical appearance.

In a job I had years ago, there were two women I saw nearly every day. Both Elsa and Marianne inevitably drew second glances from people that saw them for the first time. Elsa, who worked in the office across the hall from mine, was gorgeous. Tall and slender, with a beautiful face and natural blond hair, she could easily have been a fashion model.

Marianne also inspired people do double-takes, but for a different reason – because she was so homely. She was not disfigured in any way; her weight was average and she was well-groomed. Marianne made the best of what nature had given her, but her features were such that many people would have called her ugly.

In a previous job I had worked with Marianne and knew her to be an excellent, reliable employee as well as extraordinarily kind. After she showed up for an interview at the office where I had been working for a couple of years, I told my boss what I knew about Marianne. My boss later confided in me that Marianne had not come across well at all in the interview, and that she had hired her as an administrative assistant based solely on my strong recommendation. Once they got to know Marianne, everyone in the office was very glad my boss had made that decision.

Marianne was a joy to work with. In my estimation, she was not a nice person in compensation for being plain; her sweetness was innate (though her shyness probably was at least partly due to her appearance). She was a beautiful soul housed in a not-so-beautiful physical body.

The gorgeous Elsa was, in contrast, cold, arrogant, and sometimes downright mean. One afternoon my coworker Bill observed her being pointlessly cruel to Marianne. After that, he told me, he no longer perceived Elsa as beautiful because he knew what an ugly person she was inside. I felt that way too, once I got to know her a bit, but was surprised at Bill’s assertion because he was – well, a guy.

The truth was, Elsa not a b#(@& because she was beautiful – she was a b#(@& because that was her nature. If people had the face they deserved, she would have looked like a hag! Comparing the two women, who had levels of physical attractiveness that were so much in contrast to their natures, my sense of justice was breached. How, I wondered, could this possibly be fair?

I was not, of course, privy to the “big picture,” nor are any of us really. Undoubtedly there were ways in which these women’s physical appearance was facilitating the life experiences their souls chose for growth. I did not begrudge Elsa her beauty; I just wished that Marianne could have a chance to look even close to as beautiful as she was inside.

Perhaps now, she does.

Consciousness pioneers (which the CP is rife with) are boldly going forth into the endeavor of changing our physical bodies using consciousness alone.

This isn’t just theory; we are getting results! Some of the improvements are physically observable, to the point that they invite comment from people who have no idea that the CP member is engaged in body sculpting. In other cases, the benefits are more subtle but very real.

“I accept myself the way I am; I don’t need to change my looks.”

Sound familiar? The idea that self-acceptance precludes the desire for self-change is widely believed, but not necessarily accurate. In fact, the opposite may be true: Self-acceptance (at least to some degree) is a prerequisite for genuine self-change.

So, if a person accepts themselves as they are, why would they be interested in altering their appearance?

My answer would be, “For the same reason I was interested in experimenting with makeup as a young girl.” At that time in my life, I thought I looked fine. I didn’t feel there was anything I needed to cover up or camouflage, but wouldn’t it be fun and exciting to accentuate my mouth with lip gloss and my eyes with shadow and mascara? There was a joy of discovery in seeing how I could express my physical appearance in different ways.

The intent of the Body Sculpting theme in the Consciousness Playground (Body Sculpting is the term CP founder Wendy Down chose for altering our bodies using consciousness alone) is really no different from my motivation to explore different versions of my physical appearance when I was a preteen. The information and exercises Wendy offers are given in the spirit of expanding our options rather than fixing what’s broken. Perceiving that we are inadequate in our present form actually can stand in the way of allowing ourselves the freedom to play with body sculpting.

The importance – and power – of accepting ourselves as we are presently became clear to me in an experience I will share below. A simple decision on my part changed my energy profoundly, and the change was reflected back to me almost instantly.

It began when I examined the “program” I had long been running that says, “I don’t look good enough.” Instead of accepting this belief as fact (as I had been doing since my early teens), I questioned it. Was it really true? How could I know it was true? And what, pray tell, would qualify as looking “good enough”? Did it mean having the classic beauty of Grace Kelly or Natalie Portman, the sexiness of a James Bond girl, or looking like Miss Universe or a top fashion model when she’s been prepped for a photo shoot? What exactly was this standard I had deemed myself to be falling short of? If I didn’t even know what it was, how could I be so sure I wasn’t meeting it?

For an intelligent person, I chided myself, that really was a pretty dumb thing to do! It’s just that I had been doing it for so long that I didn’t question its validity.

Then, the thought crossed my mind, “What if you just decided that how you look presently is good enough? What if you simply chose to believe that was true?”

Examining the potential effects of this new choice, I could not identify any negative ones. Accepting myself as looking good enough would not lead to conceit, narcissism, or snobbery; I’m simply not wired that way. Feeling good about myself would only serve to make me feel more open and accepting of others, not to mention a lot happier.

Almost immediately after I made the choice to believe that I look fine as I am presently, I went into a grocery store I often shop in. In the produce section, a stranger stopped to tell me how beautiful I was! The man had no agenda (didn’t ask for my phone number or a date); apparently he just wanted to express appreciation. “Wow!” I thought. “This stuff works really fast.”

Interestingly, deciding I look good enough as I am now has not diminished my interest in body sculpting at all – in fact, intentionally changing my appearance seems more accessible than it did previously. When we are not motivated by perceived lack or the need to fix something, intentional manifestation becomes much easier.

I’ve been a member of the Consciousness Playground since last fall, and the themes we have explored (along with the support of Wendy and other CP members) have been invaluable in my return to self-awareness – a journey that all of us are engaged in these days. Have you ever thought, “If I were as wealthy as celebrities (and could afford their cosmetic surgeons, dermatologists, and personal trainers), I could look as good as they do”?

Presuming you answered yes, I will pose another question: What if there were another alternative – a way to have the face and body you’d like to have, without the expense, discomfort, and risks of cosmetic procedures or the hard work of an intense fitness program?

I have some good news for you:  There IS such a way! This month, and for the next few months, Wendy Down, , founder of the Consciousness Playground, (above, goofing around with daughter, Haley) is exploring the theme of Body Sculpting. In audio recordings and transcripts, she’s leading CP members through processes in which we will reshape our faces and bodies using consciousness alone.   Results are already starting to happen with some members reporting changes such as rapid fat loss, improvement in skin tone and… look at these before and after photos of Wendy’s own feet!

In the future, body sculpting through the use of consciousness likely will be commonplace. Presently, it is not. As far as I know, no one else, other than JP Farrell’s book Manifesting Michelangelo is offering such information to the public.  The Consciousness Playground is a community of consciousness pioneers, and this theme is the most innovative we have explored so far.  

Yes, there are more conventional ways to achieve *limited* changes in appearance, but these methods are far from ideal. Have you looked closely at any celebrities lately? I’m not speaking of movies and publicity shots, where makeup, lighting, and retouching are heavily employed, but of photos that reveal more than the subject was intending.

The truth is that many of the “beautiful people” aren’t looking so beautiful anymore, at least off-screen. I’m not one to promote tabloid-style journalism, but an Internet search on keywords such as “bad cosmetic surgery” or “awful plastic surgery” will lead you to an array of photographic evidence demonstrating that cosmetic procedures are not the solution to a person’s desire to look beautiful and youthful.

Younger folks that have overdone cosmetic work tend to look older and unnatural, typically coming across as less appealing than in their pre-surgery photos. Older people that have been nipped, tucked, injected, and peeled numerous times simply look peculiar. With their waxen, semi-immobile faces, they don’t look young and they don’t look old. They simply don’t look quite…human.

If cosmetic procedures are not the answer for sculpting one’s face and body, what is a beauty-seeking person to do? For reshaping the body, diet and exercise can have benefits (sometimes dramatic ones), but maintaining the results tends to be a challenge for those who don’t actually enjoy the process.

Yet, here we are, in the era of awakening to the fact that we create our own reality and can manifest virtually anything we can imagine. Can you imagine looking and feeling beautiful? Can you envision having a face and body that brings joy to you and is admired by others?

Now, there is a way to bring these images of yourself into physical reality – to have them be your daily experience. “This month, Consciousness Playground founder, Wendy Down, is taking the Consciousness Playground explorations into a new sphere with the theme of Body Sculpting. No, she won’t be talking about diet, exercise, cosmetic procedures, or other “physical” methods, but of altering our faces and bodies through the use of consciousness alone!

In the abundance of conscious creation and self-help material available today, body sculpting is an area that has been delved into only minimally (and typically for things like weight loss and improving blemished skin, characteristics that most people believe are changeable by physical means). This is a topic many of us are very interested in, yet until now we haven’t been able to find information to guide and support us in pursuing this interest.

Since Wendy announced this theme about a month ago, I have been eagerly awaiting the first recording. When I saw its title, however, I was stunned. If I didn’t understand reality creation and our connections within consciousness to the extent that I do, I would have been totally freaked out!  I will explain why.

A few years ago I read Jane Roberts’s Seth books (several of them multiple times) and found the information tremendously valuable, but had not been drawn to it for quite some time. About a week ago, I began feeling a strong impulse to reread some of the Seth material. I didn’t have the books anymore, but started reading Seth quotes online.

Of the many fascinating concepts Seth discusses, as I was reading the quotes I found I was most intrigued by the idea of moving my consciousness to the future as a way of “seeding” the present. To use an analogy, it’s like I would envision a beautiful garden of yellow flowers that I would have in the future. To create that future, I would – in the present – be inspired to plant those seeds.

An addition, I noticed I kept spontaneously having images and feelings arise in my mind of myself as I was at the age of 12 or 13. This was a time when I largely felt at peace with my physical appearance except for self-consciousness about not having started puberty yet. Around the time I turned 14, I started judging myself harshly for not looking “good enough” and was frustrated that I couldn’t find ways to correct my perceived flaws. At 12, however, I still was in a place of openness to the possibility that I could create whatever I envisioned.

In addition to the Seth reading and seeing images of my younger self, in the past few days I had been thinking of how, presently, I feel as if I’m existing in two different worlds simultaneously. It’s as if I have one foot in the conventional world and the other in a world where altering our physical appearance (and other things that are seemingly “fixed”) is not only possible, but easy.

All this occurred in the few days BEFORE Wendy released her first Body Sculpting audio recording, which is titled, “Ready to Look Back From the Future?” On the recording, she brings us through an exercise which includes recalling ourselves in childhood.   She also talks about the feeling of existing in two worlds, one of which allows us to change our physical bodies with ease.

So, what happened here? Was this precognition – did I predict the approach Wendy would take with her first recording for July?

I think not. What actually happened, I believe, is that I chose – from the “future” – to explore that approach, and created Wendy making that recording. Another way to explain it would be that, out of the field of infinite possibilities, there was the possibility of Wendy creating that recording, and I synced with it vibrationally, thereby making it my experiential reality.

These are the types of experiences that tend to become more common when we pool our energies with others at the forefront of consciousness shifting – and the Consciousness Playground community is definitely at the forefront. I’ve been a CP member since last Halloween and have experienced several significant shifts since then. As someone who is choosing to be on the cutting edge of shifting consciousness, there have been many times when I’ve doubted myself. Having the support of others who believe similarly – and sometimes have gone farther than I have in various ways – has been of immeasurable value.

In our hearts, each of us knows what we are drawn to – which path we’re most excited about taking. If the topic of Body Sculpting excites you, my advice is to go for it!
