This model kit is great for young collectors, not top notch, but it is a very neat kit. The diagram of how to build it is black in white so you might have some trouble reading it but it is readable. The pieces have some trouble snapping together, but the screws are very well made and fit in there whole well. Also, the plane has some trouble balancing on the stand but don't be worried when it rocks side-to-side a bit because it is just find it's comfortable position. If you are wondering how the pieces stick together there are 11 screws, and grooves where all the pieces are supposed to fit. There is no glue so no mess will be created. The kit comes with all the supplies you need, like screwdriver, screws and any thing else you need to construct it. This is a great set!! Talk about play value it is awesome!!

So many things so little time! The wheels are awesome very genius system to make them awesomeness lego!!! The trolls walking on the wheels to turn it hilarious!! The slave knight being held by chain and forced to help driving!!! It is great. The wheel weapon!!!! I vote the weapon on this wheel the best lego weapon of the casle series!! It shoots like 5 feet!! Be warned the positioning of the trigger for it is less than desirable when trying to show it to people, you usually end up shooting them on accident!! However it is perfect for battle!!

Next is the knights defense turret!! I like it too! It is really cool to put around castle seige so the trolls battle wheel can't roll over it!! The turret also has a working catapult!! Not as fun as the wheel but still cool!

All in all this is a limited edition and it is super fun get it before it is gone and you have to pay collectors price!! Get a couple and sell them later! Somebody will definetly miss out and want it, because it is awesome!!

This was a gift to a friend of mine who loves to build model cars. It was intended to be a "silly" gift however he spent the next couple of weeks painting, re-painting, and assembling the car. He loved the gift and that was great. Lots and lots of little pieces, some assembly requires is a major understatement. My daughter is only three but is fascinated with tools and screwdrivers especially. This is made for a slightly older child but it has worked out really well as family time together as my husband or I have to sit down with her and help her figure out how the shapes fit together and what goes where... and to make sure the pieces didn't go rolling off of the table. The little booklet of ideas is awesome and inspires her to keep pulling out the toy to build something new. Some of the examples in the booklet are a little misleading, we had a little trouble figuring out the sequence of pieces as it only shows a finished structure, not how to get there and then occasionally the pieces didn't quite fit so we improvised, which is a great learning tool though I don't think it was meant that way. My daughter does all of the screwing with each tool by herself so it has been great for her motor skills and also her problem solving as to what piece should get put on next and following a pattern. My only suggestion to the company is to make the holes in the flat pieces all standardized, so that it provides the greatest flexibility on where to place a bolt or screw, we've found that many times we can't quite create what we want because we don't have a hole to use. This is a great building block set. It is made and painted in China so I do have some concerns. It is a smaller block set. If you are thinking you are getting the huge 5 inch blocks you had as a kid think again. I bought this for my daughter who is 10 months and she loves it. The colors and shapes fit in her hands well and she likes to sit in a pile of them and play. I know it is a bit young for a block set but I wanted her to start recognizing shapes and colors and this set is perfect. 200 pieces is a massive amount of blocks and the canvas bag is great for storage. My son loves this toy, despite the fact that the wings refuse to stay attached.

The toy came with two of its four wings unattached, and it was surprisingly difficult to push them into place. I had hoped that meant they would stay in place well, but that is not the case. Even some of the pre-attached limbs (arms, tail) have come off. Nothing really seems to snap in securely. The knight came unassembled with its parts attached to a plastic frame, and I wasn't able to get all of the sharp edges sanded down with the included file.

My son received this as a gift for Christmas. The day after Christmas he wanted to assemble it. We found out that the tool (allen wrench) at the end of the power tool was assembled backwards making not usable to put together the toy. That was what he was most looking forward to using.... a power tool! We emailed the company with a complaint and request for a replacement part. There hasn't been a response from the company nor have we received the part yet. After reading the reviews, I'm about ready to return it instead but I feel bad for him. He was so excited. Our personal experience kids at time of purchase 4.5 and 2.25. Both seem to be into it obviously the oldest actually building things and the youngest "modifying" the oldest.

I recommend this set specifically over the smaller cheaper sets because it has distinct pieces. We ended up buying the 750 pc set after buying this one. With that set we can make all the other sets pretty much using some ingenuity.

I gave durability only a 3 because you do have to be careful disassembling it. you have to make it tight to get the flat pieces to stay, and then taking apart is hard especially triangular configurations which are very common, planes, race cars, forklifts, carousels.

highly recommend, we are also fortunate in that our youngest doesn't put stuff in our mouth, if you are not as fortunate becareful because the people's heads are very small as well as the blue connectors.Get more detail about Superstructs Super Set.
