Today I've got a live case study for you with one of our new members, Mike Murphy.

In part one of this case study you're going to hear:

How Mike got started online and was able to generate a few thousand dollars a month through affiliate marketing.

What happened when he first tried local business marketing. (Following what's taught in most information products being sold today.)

Mike will share his results from trying to go it alone...

And you'll hear the exact advice he got from another consultant (who pulls in 6-figures per month) on how he started his business.

Plus, at the end of the call I do an impromptu consultation with Mike, and you'll see how I quickly restructure two of Mike's key assets so he can leverage them for faster results.

I'd love to hear your feedback on this call, so grab a coffee, get comfy, take a listen and then leave your questions and comments below.

Stay tuned in a few weeks for part 2 where we'll catch up with Mike and see his results since joining the Consulting Tycoon program.

Incorporating images as part of your overall content mix is a good idea for search optimization in and of itself. Images can provide additional opportunities for keyword signals on a page, and they represent good opportunities for ranking in search results under Universal Search.

But, if they’re also associated with places properly, they can convey additional location signals, helping a business and/or its website to be considered even more relevant for local searches.

Optimizing your client's local search rankings is one of the most powerful strategies you can implement for getting a "quick win" and in many markets can bring the bulk of your leads. This guide on using images to enhance local rankings will put you light years ahead of what 99% of local marketers are doing.... and in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

One of the first bad habits we try to correct during our Tycoon Inner Circle coaching programs is people working too hard... burning the candle at both ends... constantly pushing yourself to cram more into the day, while sleep (and your life) suffer. It might feel like you're working hard, but science shows you're not as effective as you think. Couple of great tips here on being more productive and getting a better night's sleep.

Consider providing a discount for their next purchases. Many “offline” businesses (notably pizza joints) could give you discount coupons on your purchase that can be redeemed on next purchase. Your thank you page surely can perform a similar (or even better) job.

If you are selling product, consider selling some services associated with it. Or, consider selling add-ons like faster delivery or better packaging as an option on Thank You page.

At the very least, offer a newsletter subscription option on your Thank You pages so your customers can keep up with product updates and other announcements.

Because most small business websites don't get a ton of traffic it's important to maximize the traffic you do get. (Conversion is more important than traffic.) One of the conversion checklist items we use for every page of a website is "does this page have a call to action?" -- chance are if it doesn't, it probably should... either selling a product, giving away something for free, asking for a phone call etc. Check out this article for a few interesting ways to get started maximizing pages you might otherwise never have thought of.

Networking is one of the fastest ways to meet the people who will take your business to the next level. (That's me down the end at the head of the table.)

If you want to take your business to the next level then there are few better investments than attending live events.

(Especially premium content based events as these attract higher quality attendees than the old pitch fests and deliver quality training.)

There is something electric in the air at a live event that you simply can't replicate any other way...

... Hundreds of people headed in the same direction but on slightly different paths...

It's a force you can tap into time and time again, even months after the event is over.

7 BIG Benefits of Live Internet Marketing Events

In just the last year live events have let me:

Learn from (and drink many beers with) the "godfather" of SEO -- you wouldn't believe some of the things he shared at the bar.

Network with hundreds of IM'ers, many of who I am now doing business with.

Focus on my business growth for days at a time without any outside distractions. (This alone is often worth the price of admission.)

Meet the people behind the software/services I use and see what's coming down the pipeline months ahead of everyone else.

Discover new business models (or fresh implementations of old ones) and see how other successful people are implementing different strategies.

Formed real relationships with dozens of awesome people I'd only ever chatted to on forums before.

Get access to people who were otherwise unattainable.

The next event I am attending (also speaking at) is James Schramko's...

Fast Web Formula 3

This has fast become the premier Internet marketing event in Australia -- and in my opinion the world -- due to James' down-to-earth approach and the extremely powerful formula teaching all the latest strategies that work.

Plus the "no pitch" atmosphere and relatively underground speakers (who teach what they actually do in their own businesses) means the content is always world-class.

I'll be at the event speaking about local business marketing -- brand new content I have not shared before -- and would love to catch up with you if you can make it.

Check out the full details and get FWF3 early bird tickets here.

Let me know if you're coming so I can buy you a beer.

If you want to get local businesses to pay you $5,500 per month to do their SEO then there is nothing more powerful than...

Undeniable PROOF of Results

Take a look at the image -- 13 page one rankings on Google!

(This is a very competitive market where one sale brings in $20,000 - $90,000.)

Can you begin to image having this kind of "proof weapon" in your marketing arsenal?

Imagine talking to business owners and being able to casually mention:

"Oh yeah my last client has 13 listings on the first page of Google for the number one keyword in their market"

Think that will get their attention?

Imagine sending a direct mail piece with that screen shot as your proof of results... hell, I reckon you could send the image alone -- no letter at all -- with your phone number scrawled on the back and still get that $5,500 client!

The fact is, when you learn how to get rankings like this you don't need to try finding high-paying clients... they will seek YOU out. And pay whatever you ask.

How To Get Similar Results

This case study comes from one of our earliest Consulting Tycoon members James Schramko. He shares the exact process used to get these results in his new "Traffic Grab" training:

What I like most about the training is James uses lots of real world examples and case studies. You can see how he has applied the strategies himself and the kind of results you can achieve when you know a few insider secrets.

Here's What You Get

There are 24 traffic modules totaling 9 hours of training.

The first modules are FREE and cover Research, Content and Site Structure.

Then the paid modules cover just about every traffic source you need to know about:

Article Traffic

Web 2.0 Traffic

Video Traffic

Affiliate Traffic

Bookmarking Traffic

Press Release Traffic

Blog Traffic

RSS Traffic

Facebook Traffic

List Traffic

Twitter Traffic

PPC Traffic

CPV Traffic

Forum Traffic

Ezine Traffic

Media Traffic

Podcast Traffic

ClassifiedsTraffic

Webinar Traffic

Word Of Mouth Traffic

Ping Traffic

Conversions

Leverage

Plus you get the "Spaghetti Bowl" mind map used by James' own outsource team that details exactly how they approach the traffic-getting process for maximum results:

I gave this to my team and they are already implementing it for our sites. (Saved me a whole bunch of time creating training content for them too!)

Traffic Grab has only been out a few days and already over 1000 people have got access to it. For less than $100 you can't afford to miss out. If you have a team, give it to them and say "do this", then sit back and relax!

Check out the first training modules FREE right here.
