Yahoo targets woman with Shine, does it mean more men use Google?

Yahoo launches new site Shine focused on capturing the interest of women everyone. Statistics show woman are more likely to blog than men, so this might be a great opportunity for Yahoo.

The site, called “Shine,” will feature original blogs and content from major publishing partners including Conde Nast, Hearst, and Time.

Does this mean more men use Google, probably not.

Multiple surveys confirm that females outnumber males online in the US, with “no significant gender gap in Internet usage.”

Removing unwanted applications from new PC

Nothing is more frustrating then setting up a new PC, only to find it full of stuff you don’t want. It can be very time consuming to remove unwanted programs for an inexperienced user. Their is a tool to simplify the process, PC Decrapifier. PC Decrapifier is free for personal use, and offers a low subscription rate for businesses that want to use the tool.

Sony was charging $50 for a similar service, but the catch is that they are the ones loading up the computers with the software. Sony has since decided against charging customers for the application removal.

I hope one day computer manufacturers will catch on to what makes Apple computers so appealing.
If you purchase a new mac, you won’t find all the free trial offers, or unwanted software upon your first use. You actually get to enjoy your new computer!
