The International Uranium Film Festival invites filmmakers worldwide to submit their best work for the 2027 edition. The festival accepts productions exploring the complex themes of nuclear power, radioactivity, and the use of radioactive elements, including uranium. From Hiroshima to Fukushima: nuclear war and atomic bomb tests, nuclear disasters like Three Mile Island, Chernobyl or Fukushima, uranium mining, the use of depleted uranium weapons, nuclear waste, radioactive contamination, nuclear medicine, films about nuclear scientists like Marie Curie, Enrico Fermi, Otto Hahn or Albert Einstein. The festival is competitive. The best films receive the Uranium Film Festival trophy.

The 19th Festival of Art on Billboards – Art Moves is calling for entries to the 2026 International Billboard Art Competition. The invitation is addressed to all the interested people, artists and students. The main award is PLN 6.500 (about EUR 1.533, USD 1.805). The best 8 artworks selected by an international jury panel will be exhibited in the urban space of the city of Torun, Poland in September 2026.

The Rotary Club Nuenen is calling for entries to the Vincent van Gogh Photo Award 2027, on the theme, ‘Spirit of light’ (in the eyes of van Gogh). The Vincent van Gogh Photo Award brings together (amateur and professional) photographers from every corner of the globe. The best three works in each of the competition categories (Vincent van Gogh Photo Award and Student Award) will be awarded with monetary prizes. Your work will also be seen by an international audience of peers, collectors and art enthusiasts who appreciate serious photography. From 3 September 2027 to 24 September 2027, the nominated photos will be exhibited in the public park in the center of Nuenen.

The Black & White Photo Awards 2026 continues its mission to recognize and reward exceptional talent in black and white photography. With five thematic categories — Architecture, Street, Wildlife, Portrait, and Landscape — and a new Open Theme category (6 in total), photographers from around the world have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and vision in monochrome art. In this fifth edition, the contest increases the value of its main prize to €1,500 for the absolute winner and €200 for each of the 6 winners in the different categories.

Pictoplasma Berlin 2027 is calling for animation submissions for the “Characters In Motion” international screenings. High-grade Characters in animation, narration, music visuals, experimental work or motion graphics, from any part of the world, are eligible. All entered animated short films (experimental, narrative, non-narrative, commissioned, or student films) submitted before February 1 will be considered for the 23rd Pictoplasma festival selection, scheduled to take place in Berlin in May 2027.

The 7th Bolu International Poster Design Competition, organized by the Department of Graphic Arts of the Faculty of Fine Arts, continues to bring together designers from around the world. This year’s theme, “Beyond Horizons: Designing a Sustainable Future” invites participants to explore new perspectives on sustainability and global responsibility through poster design. All participants whose works contribute to this awareness and are accepted for exhibition by the jury will receive a digital certificate of participation, while the owners of the top three works will be awarded the symbolic digital BIAH Achievement Certificate. The first-place winner will also have the right to serve as a jury member in the next BIAH event.
