The call for entries for the 19th international Stereohype Button Badge Design Competition is now open. If you are 18+ and into design, illustration, typography, photography or visual experimentation, submit a maximum of four original badge artworks in total. Enter them as individual designs, a set of four, or a combination of both. This time, Stereohype will award a total of six prizes – five main, and a special prize – and will award all kinds of printed goodies with the winning designs, books and more.

The 17th edition of the ICMA – International Creative Media Award has opened for entries. The competition, which recognises innovation, creativity and excellence in corporate media, editorial design and graphic communication, invites individuals and companies of any nationality from around the world to participate. The ICMA began as the Corporate Media Award and later became the Custom Media Award. Today it is a worldwide competition covering custom media, books, corporate design and magazines.

The 22nd annual ACM/IEEE International Conference on Human-Robot Interaction (HRI 2027) has opened the call for submissions for its Student Design Competition (SDC), inviting student teams from around the world to present original human-robot interaction design work to an audience of researchers, practitioners, and judges. The competition, which will be held in Santa Clara, California, USA, during the conference from 8–12 March 2027, is themed “Robots in Public Spaces“. The goal of the SDC is to showcase design thinking in HRI: the quality of the interaction design, the clarity of the rationale behind design decisions, and serious engagement with the realities of deploying robots among people.

UNESCO, in cooperation with the Palestinian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities (MoTA) and with the financial support of Italy through the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), has opened an international, single-stage architectural design competition to select a winning design for the Construction of a Protective Shelter over Trench I at the Ancient Jericho/Tell es-Sultan Archaeological Site in the State of Palestine. Тhe competition is an international open call conducted in open procedure and endorsed by the International Union of Architects (UIA), inviting submissions from architects and engineers worldwide. Three selected projects will be awarded financial prizes and the winner receives the contract for the development of the detailed design.

Wege Prize 2027 challenges transdisciplinary teams of university students to develop products or services that solve complex, “wicked” problems through the framework of the circular economy. The Wege Prize functions as both a product design competition and a global learning laboratory. The initiative aims to foster cross-functional collaboration by requiring teams to converge different academic disciplines, mirroring the complexity of solving real-world issues. The total prize pool for the Wege Prize is $65,000, of which $30,000 are reserved for the 1st Place award.

The 2026 IIDA Global Excellence Awards have been announced. 2026 commemorates the 17th annual design competition. The IIDA Global Excellence Awards honor excellence in originality and creativity in international interior design and interior architecture projects across 19 categories. Winners will be celebrated with an awards ceremony in Paris, France in February 2027. Winners will also be featured on IIDA.org and across IIDA’s social media platforms, receive official digital assets, including competition winner logos for self-promotion, and coverage in an official press release distributed to leading industry outlets and media partners.

Founded by the Art Directors Club in 1996 as a showcase of emerging creative talent, ADC Young Guns is a portfolio-based competition for creative professionals 30 years of age or under, and has grown to become one of the most coveted accolades in the global creative community. Winning an ADC Young Guns award is a recognition of emerging creative talent. Winners join the ADC Young Guns alumni community and are celebrated at the ADC Young Guns 24 Celebration in January 2027, at Sony Hall in New York City.

As part of the 23rd Treviso Comic Book Festival edition (TCBF 2026), the Fumetti in Treviso association announces the International Contest for New Comic Authors 2026, created in collaboration with Banca Prealpi San Biagio Credito Cooperativo. The competition is open for entries and invites beginner comic authors of legal age to test their skills and create a comic story based on this year’s theme – Relationships. Three main prizes will be awarded as part of the 2026 competition. 500 Euro are reserved for the First prize, 300 Euro for the Second prize, and 200 Euro for the Third prize.

For more than 50 years, the Pencil has stood as one of the most respected honors in advertising and design, and the programme’s disciplines span the full spectrum of creativity, from print and film to gaming, the creative use of AI, and Creator Content. Entries open on 27 October 2026, with winners celebrated during Creative Week in New York City in May 2027.
