I like your reviews better. It’s refreshing to see it from a “real person” point of view, not somebody who honestly went into the movie with too-high expectations or is being unfair to the movie because they’re a purist (as people have done with Sherlock Holmes). I haven’t had a chance to see either, but they’re definitely on my ongoing list of movies to see either while I’m back in the States on R&R, or when I’m back home for good! I think you did a great job!

The only negative criticism of Sherlock Holmes I’d heard was its deviation from the books and not enough Jude. I was satisfied. ::shrugs::

Yes, I agree. There was nothing new about Avatar’s plot, but it was pretty. I was wearing two pairs of glasses as well, and was surprised that I managed to keep both pairs on my nose with only minimal adjustment!

I read many negative reviews of Sherlock Holmes, and am glad to hear that you enjoyed it. Now maybe I’ll shell out the money to check it out.
