Hiatus...Definitely, Hiatus...

I have come to the decision, with a lot of thought and a heavy heart, to take some time off from my blog. I have struggled with the notion of quitting, I thought about cutting back the amount of posts, and I have thought about turning my blog into a personnel for my eyes only blog.

I cannot make a decision on how or in what capacity this blog will carry on at this time. So the decision to take some time off from blogging will hopefully, within this absence, help me come to a decision that is right for me, my family and my blog.

I wish to thank all my visitors, all my loyal readers and those that have commented on my posts. I have a great appreciation for all of you. I wish you nothing but the best in the future and maybe we will cross paths again.

I have to say I love video games. I mainly play EA Sports NHL series and religiously buy the new one each year. But how cool would it be to be able to play whatever video game you want and have your own personal violinist to play not only the music but the sound effects for that video game. One person already thought of this idea and incorporated it into Super Mario Brothers.

This would just be so awesome...

When it comes to Saturday morning cartoons, a staple has to be the Smurfs. While I wasn't a huge fan of the show, I found it interesting and watched it from time to time. I even had a small key-chain smurf toy. I am not sure which smurf it was but I know it wasn't Papa or Smurfette. I love the idea of all these cartoons from yesterday year getting a rebirth recently in the form of movies are even in updated cartoons. Now with that being said, I am not sure if every cartoon from my childhood should be remade into a movie during my adulthood. Especially when you plan to take minute blue people and try to incorporate them into the modern day world.

Before we get into those panties and their delicate predicament, I wanted to show you to letters that deal with honesty. The first photo shows a person that went that extra mile to be a good neighbor and help someone out.

Not only did Will turn off the car lights and lock the door but he didn't steal anything. Hopefully he was the first person to find the car that way and thus prevented any thieves from getting an easy score. But in this second one, well take a gander.

This guy is being honest, you have to give him that! But it makes you wonder if Jack's last name is Ass. Now I am not quite ready to bring up those panties but while I am on the subject of ass take a look at this and tell me which would you rather ~~gaze upon~~ be forced to see?

Now I don't know about you but I think a covered crack is better then nothing but there is something just infinitely wrong with seeing a man in a red thong. Now that brings me to the main topic of this blog. I shower each morning and put clean clothes on afterwards. So it baffles me, when I hear about people putting clean underwear on a dirty body. Especially one this dirty...

This gives new meaning to the term junk in the trunk but my gosh, we don't need to see a dirty ass in some nice clean pink frilly panties!! Good gawd, clean your self.

Destiny or Fate?

Was it destiny or fate? Maybe it was just a coincidence or dumb luck? It is for you to decide. The reason I bring this up is because I want you to read about a couple named Donna and Alex Voutsinas. Then tell me which fits their story, which almost seems out of a movie.

In 2002, while preparing for their wedding, the couple had decided to rummage through some old photos to use for a slide show presentation during the reception. While looking at some of Donna's old photos Alex paused at one photo in particular.

It was of Donna at the age of 5, visiting Walt Disney World in Florida. She was posing with her two brothers and the Disney character Smee. The reason for the pause? Well he recognized a man in the background. Shown below in the red circle.

The man he recognized in the photo was his dad! Even more eerie is the fact that the kid being pushed in the stroller is him! Donna's family just moved to Florida from Long Island when they decided to make a trip to the Magical Kingdom. Alex's family living in Montreal had make the trip down for Alex's first visit to Disney World, he was 3 at the time. So this couple were captured in the same photo 15 years before they were to actually meet and 22 years before got married.

Gives a whole new meaning to It's a Small World after all. So pull out those old photos ladies and gentlemen, you never know who could be in the background.

When baby is bigger then mommy...

Meet Amanda, Aidan and Steven of Britain. They look like a typical family, cute and happy. Unfortunately there is one difference, Amanda suffers from a rare disease. When she was born she had 14 broken bones, she cannot walk and the disease has limited her growth to 3' 1" tall. She also has brittle bones which makes being a mother quite difficult, in fact she was reserved to never have children, until she learned that she accidentally became pregnant. In fact the doctors recommended she abort the baby as they feared she may not live through pregnancy or birth.

Steven on the other hand is a healthy man measuring 6'1" tall and is called "lanky" by British newspapers. I am not sure what lanky means but from the photo, I think it means husky in America.

Aidan is a happy, healthy young boy. At 14 months old he is 2' 6" tall and 22 pounds. His weight is nearly half his mothers 56 pounds. Because his mother cannot walk he towers over her. And is frequently told to be gently when playing with her.

I think this goes to show that if you are meant to have children, then it will happen. No matter what risks there may be involved. Amanda was told during her pregnancy that she could die, the baby could die, or both of them could. She had blackouts at 35 weeks and was rushed to a hospital after blackout while shopping. With all the problems they faced, they have a happy baby and are not ruling out having a second child. I say congrats to them and good luck in the future!

I don't know about any of you, my dear readers, but this morning at 10 am pacific time I was online reading as tech sites gave live updates about all the goings on at the WWDC or Worldwide Developer's Conference that Apple hosted today. The big feather was the new iPhone.

I wanted to read all about the new iPhone 4, the new iPhone OS with is now called iOS4 and more importantly to see if there was going to be anything different or new and exciting that we didn't learn from the leaked video by the journalists at Gizmodo.

Unfortunately I was not shocked or awed by what was showed at the WWDC today, damn you Gizmodo, but I am looking forward to the release of the OS, especially since we will finally get the things that most smartphones have already i.e. multitasking. I am miffed that the OS will not be released to everyone until June 21st but I guess I have lived without the fancy features for the last year, I can make it through a couples weeks.

When I first stumbled upon this image I naturally thought it was a great photoshop job. I was amazed at how well the artist rendered the photo to make it look like the city really had a huge hole that looked to journey to the center of the earth.

But when I realized it was an actual picture taken after a huge tropical storm (Agatha) smashed into Guatemala, I almost crapped myself. I couldn't image trying to run for shelter from the huge storm and stumbling upon this hole that looks to be the portal to Dante's Inferno.

According to what I have read the storm didn't last very long but it truly smashed the city and the death toll at last count was 115 people. I am repetitively knocking on my head (current lack of wood) that I have not had to face anything like this in my life time. AND I hope I never do!

I think it's hilarious to watch people get scared witless. Now if it was me I might piss my pants or throw a punch if something scared me enough. But knowing its a real life Rock Star, that might soften the blow of passing out from fright.

Let me preface this post by stating I am not against bullfighting. While I think its horrible and would never support something that brutalizes an animal, I do understand that it is considered a sport in some countries and recognize that bullfighters/matadors are revered. I do believe that there are instances where, if you are truly against bullfighting, you might see a photo like the one below and clap for the "bad guy".

The bad guy being the bull in this case. I must warn you, the picture is grotesque.

The Matador's name is Julio Aparicio. He tripped during a pass with his cape, ya know the "ole" part, and as the bull ran towards the fallen matador, he gored Aparicio through the throat, under the chin, and out the mouth. Pretty good shot I must say.

Aparicio underwent six hours of surgery where doctors worked to reconstruct his throat, jaw, tongue, and roof of his mouth. According to hospital reps ’He remains in the intensive care unit of the hospital, has regained consciousness and his vital signs are stable.'

Below is video of the incident. It is sad to see the bull does not live to fight another day as it appears he is killed by the next matador. This gives a new meaning to the term "mess with the bull and you get the horn"

Student to Big Company, give me please?

I have to say that as a child, I had many writing assignments. I don't remember any of them actually being proposed to a large corporation, not to mention those very letters actually getting mailed to the company for a possible response. In the case below you will see how progressive the school system has become and how surprising said large corporation could be.

I think it shows what a great company Nintendo is for writing back, as well as sending the kids a DS. But I have to say where was this when I was a child? The most I remember writing was letters to Santa or to my parents or to some foreign student that again I don't think ever got sent. I think I got ripped as a child.

There's a mole in the White House...

I don't know if anyone saw the story on the New York Post (Mole Story Here) but apparently there is a mole at the White House and it was exposed during a recent press conference President Obama on the White House steps. Said press conference was to address the state of economy and reform. This is when the mole felt secure enough to make a run for it before being caught. See the pictures below.

In the first picture we see the culprit running just under the President' s nose. The second shows a close up of said mole and from what I understand he was captured shortly there after and is currently being held for interrogation to see what secrets he may know.

I was talking yesterday with Copyboy @ NOT WORTH MENTIONING! about being a comic book nerd and the recent uprising of comic book super heroes to movies and how great they are. So I found this little gem on the web and had to share it with anybody who may love comics/super heroes.

With listening to all the possible damage by the under water oil leak, which is dumping about 5,000 barrels of oil a day, which was caused by an explosion on an offshore oil rig located in the Gulf of Mexico. I thought this image will tell BP exactly how we feel about the problem and the crappy ideas they have thought up as possible solutions.

I am a comic book nerd at heart and I have loved all the comics/cartoons from my childhood that have been turned into big time movies. Iron Man was an awesome flick and immediately after seeing the end of it I started fiending for the second one. I was a little shocked that they made a slight change in the line up with Don Cheadle replacing Terrence Howard as Rhodey. I was cautious about seeing it, but by seeing this sign my fears were replaced with laughter.

Well I have to say it seems like time is really flying by. Not too long ago I announced my wife was pregnant with our third child (march-month-of-fertility) well here it is the 8th week of the pregnancy and according to What to Expect When Expecting iPhone app (there really is an app for that!) my baby is the size of a Raspberry. Cool eh! Oh and if you feel time flies, you should pick up this Time Fly's clock.

I am a hockey freak. So much so I have downloaded radio apps on my iPhone so I can listen to broadcasts of the games during the playoffs going on.

I saw this picture and I just had to laugh. It makes me wonder if they knew the refs would be awful that game.

Speaking of missing some periods....I found this great mock up of Justin Bieber 20 years from now. and hes looking rough.

I know, I'm just jealous I could sing like a 24 year old girl at his age.

Since we are on the Bieber, have you seen Greyson Michael Chance? Better known as the Paparazzi kid. He's to be on Ellen May 13th, 2010. Oh and ladies you have time to get to know him as hes only a 6th grader.
