Why...

2010-10-05T16:28:00.000-04:00

is it so hard to keep up with this blog? It shouldn't be...one would think! Between the three of us being stay-at-home-moms, keeping up with our Facebook page--which in itself is a full-time job, and staying on top of orders, this blog keeps falling to the wayside. Unfortunately.
We have some new lines and styles coming up soon and a specifically boys line I'm going to start working on. So stay tuned :o)

It's Been Awhile....

2010-09-04T20:58:00.000-04:00

WOW! Didn't realize its been so long since we last posted! Time is flying over at CCC. Good things are happening and the creative juices are flowing.

Our fall lines haven't been selling as well as we had hoped when we created them :o( But everything else seems to be doing quite well! Fall is in full swing here in Michigan and so are all the new clothes we are putting up. Check out these customer faves so far....

Hello? How cute are all these?!? Not to toot our own horn but "toot, toot" we LOVE what we have been creating lately. We really hope everyone stays tuned because we are back on the blogging wagon.

Front Page!

2010-08-15T22:20:00.000-04:00

Finally! We made it to the front page of Etsy. It only took 4 months! Not bad...AND the item sold within minutes. Woohoo!

Ours is in the bottom right hand corner! Isn't it cute? lol.

We had such a great time and look forward to everything the future of Cookie Crumbs Couture has to offer us. BUT we could never have done this without the love and support of our husbands. Thanks guys we love you :o)

Seriously, we were barely able to handle our kids with their help on Saturday. Can you imagine the catastrophe if they weren't there?!? lol. Let's just not think of that....

2010-08-03T19:13:00.000-04:00

I really am writing to myself. It feels like a diary. Should I unleash some of my deepest secrets to the internet world? No ones reading anyways...

EEEK!

2010-08-03T00:35:00.001-04:00

First, is anyone out there? Did anyone even look at our sneak peek?!? It's a very odd feeling to put all this stuff out there and still feel like I'm just writing to myself...lol. Not used to it.

Anyway. I still can't believe we're going to be on tv this Saturday. It just blows my mind! We're all still feverishly working to get our stuff done and to gain some stock so on Saturday when we list all these new items on our site we won't get bombarded with orders and get behind. Sound a bit sure of ourselves? lol. We're cautiously optimistic about our future as of now. We're very happy with where things are going. Its been kind of slow lately, but we haven't been updating anything on our site like we used to. Plus, we're assuming that people aren't too interested in buying summer stuff since its nearly over ::tear:: and not wanting to buy fall stuff because they are in denial! lol.

Is there anything that you would like to see us make this fall? Boys or Girls ideas...

Sneak Peek of Fall Lines!

2010-08-01T23:02:00.000-04:00

Well, we FINALLY did it. Created a sneak peek that is... We're all still working hard. But we hope you enjoy these pics and it piques your interest as to what we have been working our butts off on. Although you can't really distinguish what anything is in particular; we hope you at least enjoy seeing the fabric combination's and the up-close pics of our beautiful top-stitching. We make it look easy. We're professionals ;o)

Don't forget to watch us if you live in the Metro Detroit area on Fox 2 News this Saturday, August 7, at 9am. You will be able to see full outfits and our fall line will be released that morning on our website as well for you to purchase.

Working Hard!

2010-07-28T18:32:00.000-04:00

Tiffany, Faith, and I are working our little butts off over here to get everything together for our new fall line. We originally had until the 10th get it done but now we only have until the 7th. Our tv appearance has been changed to Saturday, August 7th now. It will still be at 9 am and it will also be on Fox 2 NOT channel 4 as previously stated--my bad! Anywho, we now have exactly 10 days to complete EVERYTHING! Ahhhhhhh! Yes, I am freaking out. Tiffany is done--as usual, Miss Speedy McSeamstress. And Faith...well, she's probably doing better than me. lol.
I think I underestimated how hard it was going to be to get all these pieces done in such little time with a 1 and 2 year old. (notice that I blame them and not my addiction to Facebook!)
Anyway, get ready for our new fall line AND our tv appearance in just 10 short days!
~Shannon

Haul?!?

2010-07-20T21:11:00.000-04:00

Connie from Dandelions Consignment had a great advertising idea to promote our trunk show on August 14th. She suggested we create a "haul" video and post it on YouTube. What is a haul you ask? Well, apparently the cool thing to do these days are post videos on YouTube showing off the clothes you got during a shopping spree. Note that I only know this AFTER I looked it up on urban dictionary. lol. Also, you can watch an example of a haul if you click on the YouTube link above.
So tomorrow, the girls and I have a business meeting and will most likely be creating our first Haul Vlog. We'll be sure to post links. I think this will be a good warm-up for our LIVE runaway show that we're doing on tv on August 10. Eeek!

Wow.

2010-07-18T18:24:00.000-04:00

That pretty much sums up our week. Wow. Our meeting with Dandelions Consignment went A-MAZ-ING! We are officially going to be selling our clothes in a real brick-and-mortar store. Woohoo. She even wants to have a big "grand opening" trunk show of our fall line as a kick-off! We are on Cloud 9 right now.
If all that isn't exciting enough Connie, the owner of Dandelions Consignment, asked us if we would be willing to do a segment promoting our business and the trunk show on LIVE tv. As in TELEVISION! Ummmmmmm....YES! So you can see us on August 10th at 9am LIVE on Channel 4 promoting our business. You can catch the grand opening trunk show on August 14th at 11am.
Get ready world. Here come's Cookie Crumbs Couture!

Busy week!

2010-07-13T12:23:00.000-04:00

This week we are super busy! We actually have a meeting with a brick-and-mortar boutique to see if they are interested in selling our clothes and accessories. We have been trying to make a couple new items that we've been meaning to make for awhile now so we can take them with us. We are super excited to put them up on the website later this week. Here's a little sneak peak of one item I've made though...

Have a great Tuesday! Wish us luck tomorrow!

The New Blog!

2010-05-01T22:02:00.001-04:00

We created this blog so you can stay up-to-the-minute on our doings.
We are currently working on our first line--due out Mid-May--and it is so girly and perfect we can't wait to show everyone! We are also working on a few boys items per requests, ie demands, from certain friends. lol. We look forward to showing the world all the things we can do!
Keep checking back because we're going to try to update on our progress daily...
Tonight, I (Shannon) am going to start working on a tutu for the 4th of July holiday coming up. Yes, it is early, but not in the crafting world...we need much time to prepare. So stay tuned because there will be LOTS to see in the upcoming month :o)
