Hello all,

I never made a public announcement on my blog, however for the last month I have been residing in Brisbane! I moved up her to study a short Flight Attending course and thus far, have been loving it so much! It's been a hectic 4 weeks but it is flying by! I can't believe within 2.5 weeks, I would be done with my course! :(

Anyway, moving to Brisbane alone was very hard, esp in the friends and family department. I for one, don't have any relatives here and very little friends here! Thankfully I had met Aileen over Instagram (lol) and I met up with her on the first week I arrived her! She's uber gorgeous and nice and showed me around the city! Fast-forward 3 weeks later, we met up again last night (Saturday, May 4th) and had dinner and walked around South Bank where we went and walked around the Buddha Festival that was held. I've never heard of this Buddha Fest as it's not held in Adelaide (lol... Typical). Felt so tourist-y and Asian walking around and taking photos HAHA!

I awkwardly asked Aileen to quickly snap a photo of my outfit, haha sigh, life of a blogger. Thankfully she already knew about all my blogging shindig so she didn't mind :P

I will try to upload more outfit photos! It's a bit tricky at the moment seeing as I'm here alone!

Maybe I'll update more frequently about the last few weeks I have left here? Would any of you like to read/see photos about that? :)

I'm one of those girls who can never justify buying basics (plain t-shirts, sweaters etc.). Sure, I know that it's a basic piece but for whatever reason it is, I can never ever justify paying $10 (which, let me tell you is very cheap lol) for a plain t-shirt. I will somehow tell myself that $10 for a t-shirt is expensive and walk away from the rack. However, ever since I picked up this t-shirt at Barkins a week ago, mind you it was on sale! For $10 LOL, during my break from work (lol, shopping during my break - typical female trait!) I have been wearing it with everything! I finally understand that a basic white t-shirt really works with every piece of my wardrobe! I wore this top so much that I bought two, and was wearing it for like 2 or 3 days straight haha.. Awks for the people who bumped into me those 2-3 days straight, probably thought I had no clothes! :P

I paired this t-shirt with this skirt I randomly bought one day, also when I was on my break haha at some random store- which I apologise I can no longer remember what or where it was...

Anyhow, topped this whole outfit off with my favorite cap of the moment from Sportsgirl and some sneakers cause I've been way too darn lazy to trot around in heels/anything remotely not flat on the ground! When I walked out the door, my friend said to me I looked like a golf player and that she has never seen me.. this sporty - ever.

Recently, the weather has been quite chilly, which is strange since it's in the middle of summer here in Australia! But hey, whatever I'm not complaining, I (most of the time) hate summer anyway!

I wore this to The Lipton Ice Tea Virgin Cocktails Summer Exhibition Tour which was held by PedestriansTV at RocketBar Rooftop (I love that place!) So glad I went, it was a great event full of free food and I got to meet some great people! I also got to see a lot of people with great fashion sense! I love seeing what other people wear and how they piece things together, it's just all so interesting.

We got to try all the new summer limited edition ice teas, which I'll blog more about in my next blog post!

The weather was weird that day, it was sunny, but strangely breezy! I love this wool cardigan which belongs to Jody from Silkybow so I asked her to borrow it when I took her home so she could get ready! Thanks Jody hehe :)

Hello everyone!
Just a quick and simple outfit I wore last night to a catchup with my girlfriends :) The weather has been quite chilly lately even though it's summer here in down under where I live, but hey, I am definitely not complaining! I've had my fair share of hot weather already, and I am ready for the fall to grace us! Only one more month to go!

This is a really old dress, I bought this possibly maybe, 2 years ago! Wore it once and got over how.. Girly it was? Whatever the reason was, I put it behind me and took it out again and someone made it less girly and more.. me. I guess the cat beanie and the anorak gave it a bit more edge which was just what I needed!

Hello readers!! Happy 2013! I hope the new year so far has treated you well! Just a quick recap on what I did on New Years, I spent NYE at work from 9-5.30 and then I went to a friends house, who pretty much lives on a farm for a house party! New years day was spent at Goolwa beach cockling which resulted in a mad crazy swimsuit tanline...

This it what I wore just tonight, when I went out with Jody from Silkybow to Rocketbar Rooftop as they have this event every Wednesday where, up on their rooftop, they screen a movie and serve food and drinks! It's a really cute and fun event that has a really nice atmosphere too! Tonight, they played Alice in Wonderland, and honestly I never thought of it, but I've never, ever seen that cartoon ever! Even as a kid... I don't know what I was doing but I'm glad I never saw it as a child, seeing it as an adult and I still didn't really get what the cartoon was about haha!

Clearly, I'm still digging the whole galaxy print, I think it's just soo pretty! I paired this dress down by adding a denim chambray over the top + my JC Clinic wedges (which was a purchase from the Black Friday sales)! I don't know how Jeffrey Campbell does it, but all his shoes are oh so comfortable!

I wore this outfit to work last friday and then I met up with Jody from Silkybow to have lunch. Something simple yet still trendy for work! These shoes are the shoes I basically wear on a daily basis and it is oh so comfortable! Crazy!

Trinny and Susannah famously used a 360˚ mirror, and if you can find one of these when out shopping – or even buy one for your home – you will have a much more realistic view of yourself when you try on new clothes.

Failing that, you might find it helpful to adopt Gok Wan’s principles. Aside from the fashion guru’s great ethos about building a positive self-image, Gok also came up with a few basic shopping guidelines for women of different shapes, including some of the following nuggets of wisdom:

• Pear shape ladies – balance out your figure by defining your upper body, for example with
blazers with shoulder pads or tops with embellished necklines.

• Apple shape ladies – create an hourglass silhouette by cinching your waist with a belt and
wearing a subtly flared skirt.

• Top-heavy ladies – emphasise your bottom half by opting for flared skirts with plenty of volume.

• Slim ladies – create the illusion of curves by highlighting your bust with embellished tops,
cinching your waist with a belt and wearing puffball or skater skirts.

Once you have a clear sense of what suits you and what to avoid, you’ll be able to put together outfits with ease, making shopping for new clothes far easier. Wore this out on Thursday when I went to have lunch with my friend and then we decided to go to Burnside to check out Zara since I haven't been there in a while; to my disappointment, I couldn't find anything I loved from Zara :(

This outfit is one of my favorite outfit in a long time. I am in love with this skull drape and these heels! These strappy heels just add the right touch of femininity yet edgy-ness aswell! Another thing I've been obsessing over this spring/summer is... Daisy print! It's soo pretty!!

I ended my day off work by watching the new Twilight movie - Breaking Dawn part. 2. And oh my god, the movie was soo good! Definitely the best one of the bunch!

It's been a while since I've posted a proper blog post! Apologies, been pretty busy with work and final exam study. However, now that exams are over I can hopefully get back to blogging properly. Hopefully I'll have some outfits to post up soon, it's just so hard not having anyone to take photos for you all the time! I wish I had a sibling :(

Anyway, I know this is really late, but I just wanted to show you guys some photos from my trip to Melbourne in September! Two months later.. I know! I had an amazing time in Melbourne with my cousin and one of my close friend. Spent. so. much. money! It was ridiculous! I wish I could control my spending habits ugh! However, what I didn't feel bad spending my money on was all the restaurants we dined at.

So here is a collection of photos I took whilst on the trip, lots of food photos as honestly, that was the only time where I wasn't shopping constantly and had the opportunity to snap pictures! My cousin and friend got really sick of me taking photos of every meal... D: hehehe

The last picture may come off as really random, but we each got a pair of these socks to match and be reminded of our trip together! And it's good because there's three bears on it and there was three of us! haha

I am in love with this outfit! Everything besides from the denim jacket I got on my trip to Melbourne two weeks ago (wow, it's already been two weeks since my vacation :[ ). The skirt is such a beautiful piece and will definitely serve me well with summer closely approaching! The yellow crop top is seriously just so fun, and the material is so light so disregarding the fact that it's a long sleeve, it'll still be really good to wear in summer!

You guys probably have seen these heels everywhere on the blogsphere by now, it's the infamous Zara clear block heel! I've been waiting for suchhhh a long time for them to hit the Zara shelves here in Australia and it finally has hit! I nearly missed my chance on getting these babies! The effort definitely paid off though now that I've got my hands on them! I searched high and low in Melbourne for them, and they're just a inch too big for me but I don't even care! Hehehehe

If you guys follow me on twitter (@cookieyurii), you'd know that I was recently in Melbourne for the week. I actually wore this outfit on my first day in Melbourne. This was my outfit of choice for my 6.55am flight from Adelaide to Melbourne! Simple, with a touch of cute. Not to mention the booties add a modern touch to the look.

I had an amazing time in Melbourne and I am missing it soo soo much right now :( I wish I was back in Melbourne in our city apartment! I will be updating my blog soon about my trip! So keep an eye out for that (it's mainly food pictures, so get excited you foodies :P)!

On another note, I am in love with this dress! I don't ever shop at ICE but when I went to the clearance with my mum the other day, I found this dress on the $3 rack! Such a bargain I couldn't believe it!

Decided to pair this dress with a black skirt cause the dress alone with the creepers looked a little off. I really liked how it turned out though! The dress and the creepers are two of my favorite things on my wardrobe ATM!

Hi guys *sheepish smile*. I apologise for my absence, it's been a heck of a busy two months! I recently started Uni again and working two jobs! Balancing definitely isn't one of my expertise but I'm working on it!

Wore this outfit to uni today as it reflects the weather perfectly. The weather has been quite bipolar lately with it sunny one minute and then the next its windy and pouring down with rain. I miss summer, I can't wait (hear me complain once summer does commence though)! I've been finding quite a few awesome pieces lately in my mums closet! This grey sweater was just hanging on the bathroom door so I decided to try and style it into something and I reckon I did a pretty decent job as it interpret my style pretty darn well :P These sunnies from Equip has been my love since I picked them up a few weeks ago! They have the perfect cateye shape and doesn't slip on my rather flat asian nose! Win! I'm always wearing sunnies, even in Winter as my eyes are rather weak and I'll be constantly squinting due to the bright daylight, ironic because my room is hecka bright!

It's literally been ages since I've updated my blog! I'm soo sorry! I've been really caught up with life. I also started a new job so thats been consuming my life. Also, haven't been able to take outfit photos due to the occasion is never appropriate to or, I'm always running late so I can never spare a few minutes to take some nice decent photos!

Anyway, this is what I wore to attend the Liza Emanuele fashion show, which was very exciting as it was the first 'official' fashion show I've ever been to! Jody actually invited me to attend it with her. The show itself was very fun to watch. It was held at Icearena so it matched the winter theme very well! I'll blog about the show itself soon!

I put this outfit together at the last minute because what I originally planned to wear coincidentally clashed with Jodys outfit! It was really similar what we were going to wear haha. I am in love with this blazer, it actually belongs to my mum! I was searching through my jacket closet and saw this one! Thanks mummy! This is definitely something worth keeping!

Just an outfit post on what I wore on the weekend, when Jody and I went to see the Circus Royale. Prior to that though, we had lunch at Brunellis, a nice Italian cafe that serves quite delicious pastas! As we entered the circus, we both felt quite familiar with the settings and at the same time we said "I think I've been to this circus as a kid" haha. It was quite funny and cute at the same time. It felt nice to go back to see something you saw as a kid! The show was pretty good, very children orientated. The animal acts were my personal favorite! Pretty sure Jody loved the animal acts as well, as we both couldn't stop gushing at how cute the animals were!

Barossa Valley Photo Diary

Hi guys! Just a quick post to show you guys all the photos I took on my two day one night trip to The Barossa Valley two weeks ago! It was so nice to get away and have some quiet time away from the city! The Barossa Valley is such a beautiful place and I had a blast spending quality time with my girls and wine tasting! You can't go to The Barossa and not go to all the different celluar doors to taste all the wine! They are of course, known for their wines!
