Having fond memories of my own years as a "ballerina," I couldn't wait to get my own little girl in a tutu. Coincidentally, the same week that the Prima Princessa DVD arrived, my daughter received a tutu as a gift from a family member, and so naturally we put both on together to prepare for her first ballet lesson. Created by two moms and combining the Paris Opera Ballet and Students from School of American Ballet at Lincoln Center, the Prima Princessa DVD is a must for any ballerina in training. My daughter's favorite part was watching the little girls pirouette, and mine was watching her attempt to do the same. In a few weeks when we start the Mommy & Me ballet class my daughter and I will both be the Prima Ballerinas of the ball after practicing up with Prima Princessa!

It's official. I will never order from the major online photo card sites again. After thoughtful outfit decisions, multiple shopping trips and countless takes (how do you get a baby and toddler to both look at you at the same time anyway?) we want holiday cards that are as individualized as our kiddos. Warning! You will not be able to stop making shirts once you start! I say that because I know your time is valuableso I want full disclosure. Though in fairness, it doesn't take long to create one on my new favorite sites, Make a Onesie. As a matter of fact, I was preparing a sample for this post and couldn't stop, so here are three sample creations that I made from scratch in five minutes. Cute right? As an English teacher, I can appreciate the time, effort and research that is apparent behind the absolute coolest line of books ever. Written by an author and former educator, Begin Smart is a developmental book series for babies and toddlers. The "Faces" book pictured (newborn-6 months) is a permanent fixture in our diaper bag. A cute cloth book about expressions from sad to sleepy, the top face is a rattle too! My three month old son loves to eat it...I mean read it. Their motto is "Home of the 7 Minute Scrapbook Page," and it really does take as much time to create the most beautiful scrapbook page as it does to load the dishwasher. I can't think of a better way to capture all of your holiday memories than by using How Fast They Grow. It's a quick way to combine pictures and text so the little ones remember exactly what year they received that life-sized Strawberry Shortcake doll from grandma!
