Check out this sweet tuned Audi S5 thanks to APS Sportec. The usualy parts were added. And of course there was a retune. The Audi S5 received a bigger intake and a retune. Thats all it took to gain 97 horsepower and 57 lb-ft. of torque. The Audi S5 comes with a Supercharged 3.0 liter V-6 engine that puts out a sotck figure of 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft. of torque.

The APS Sportec package costs $3000 but its well worth it. The final result is a car that can accelerate from 0-60 MPH in 4.6 seconds which is as fast as a Mustang GT or Chevy CAmaro SS. Pretty good for a luxury car. So the intake and retune bring power levels up from 333 HP to a whopping 425 HP. Torque jumps from 325 lb-ft to 370 lb-ft. And you retain the sleeper look!

Side skirts make the Prior-Design BMW E92 look lower to the ground. There are huge wide body fender bulges at the front and rear which give the car a mean look. Centemeters were added which means you can now run a wider tire.

Besides the body kit, Prior-Design has a sweet stainless steel exhaust system for the BMW M3. They also have a KW Coilover suspension that is pretty trick.

This piece costs $3000 and was inspired by Formula 1 race cars! A true full under body diffuser, this piece is the best part money can buy for down force. It will also go great with your other aerodynamic parts and is perfect for the hard-core enthusiast.

A total bolt on affair, the S2000 dry carbon fiber bottom diffuser should be used in conjunction with other areo parts from Password:JDM. This piece increases downforce which translates into better stability in the turns. The rear diffuser allow for most exhaust systems including the stock one. Although if you are shelling out $3k, chance are you have an aftermarket exhaust. The install time is quick and this carbon fiber underbody diffuser can be removed in minutes!

So how would legendary Honda tuner and Import Juggernaut AEM fair? AEM has sponsored some of the biggest names in the Import realm and they have produced high horsepower and low E.T. vehicles. They are renowned for Engine Management Systems but how are the AEM Air Intakes?

Turns out AEM makes mediocre Air Intakes for the Nissan 350Z. The AEM Short Ram Intake is comprised of a washable air filter and a polished aluminum intake tube. Net horsepower gains are 5 Horsepower. And the cost of this unit is $324. Other similar products use K & N filters with their cold air intake systems and I believe this is where the AEM Intake for the Nissan 350Z falls short. The K and N air intakes for the Nissan 350Z are probably a bit more high flowing.

Starting with the K and N Intake for the 2003-2006 350Z let’s take a look at the price. This intake cost about $275. It’s a good looking piece and nets 11 horsepower and 10 lf-ft of torque. The K&N cold air intake is a good looking piece (shown above) with its black ram intake tube. Something a little more on the down low and less flashy than a big chrome piece. This intake will fit 2003, 2004, 2005, and the 2006 model year 350Z .

For the 2007 and 2008 model year the Nissan 350Z got more horsepower in the form of revised intake and exhaust systems. And the K and N short ram Intake for these model years nets 8 horsepower and 7 lb-ft of torque. The cost for this set-up is $360. This it includes two polished short ram intakes.

And the best thing about these intakes is that it is CARB legal in all 50 states meaning you will not be getting a ticket for this part from the coppers. Top it off with a million mile warranty on the air filter itself and the K and N intake for the Nissan 350Z is a great bargain.

The Scion xB is a hugely sucessful micro van. Toyota hit a home run with the entire Scion line-up and you can see teenagers and adults alike with pimped out Scion vehicles. The xB is arguably the most popular and there are tons of tuning parts available. With a base price of $15k and used examples right in the range of most, there can still be funds left over fir some tuning parts. GReddy has turbo kits for pretty much every Japanese vehicle. And the Greddy Scion xB Turbo Kit will boost horsepower by a fair amount.
The 2004 – 2006 model year Scion xB came with a puny 1.5 liter engine that only produced 108 horsepower. But with the addition of the GReddy kit, power gains can by almost as much as 50% more resulting in about 150 HP. The Greddy Scion xB turbo kit comes with everything you need including a JDM turbocharger, cool intake called the Airlnx, exhaust manifold (which is cast iron for duability), the piping from the turbo to the throttle, a down pipe, and all the hardware. There is no need for an Intercooloer as this kit is only boosting a few pounds. This also keps the cost down below $3k. Oh and all tuning is taken care of by the GReddy E-Manage ECU which retails for $1k by itself.

The Scion xB Turbo Kit from GReddy is a great value for those who need a bit more horsepower out of their xB.

I absolutely love turbo 6-cylinders cars. All of my favorite modern day muscle cars have these configurations. The old Skyline, new GTR, Supra, 300zx, Buick Grand National, and 3000GT were all bad ass car capable of huge horsepower figures. Now more recently Ford have gone the turbo V-6 route with the ecoboost engine. And who would have thought that BMW would release a twin-turbo 6 cylinder engine? This is the first time in my life I have ever seriously looked at getting into a BMW. Dinan is a long time tuning outfit of all things BMW. And the Dinan Chip for the BMW 335i adds some serious power. How does the addition of 80 HP and 120 lb-ft. of torque. All from a few simple products namely a Stage 2 ECU reflash .

The Stage 2 Dinan Performance upgrade does cost a pretty penny at $2200 but the return on this investment is spectacular. The boost is bumped from 8.8 to 13.0 PSI. The fuel and timing are changed. The top speed governor is removed and finally the water pump speed is upped all with a reflash.

With the Dinan BMWv335i Tuning Chip and the addition of the Dinan intake and free flowing exhaust the power figures check in at 384 HP and 421 lb-ft of torque. Quite a nice gain for so little. Makes me really want this Dinan chip reflash!
