Yuki was bred in captivity and sold to be kept as a pet in North Carolina. As a puppy, he had several different owners and was abused. He was abandoned and was going to be euthanized at an animal shelter because they can't adopt out wolves. Instead, Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples, FL, where I volunteer, rescued him and he lives there with a wolfdog named Bella. Yuki loves women, showing off to visitors, and being super goofy. Please remember, wolves are highly awesome but do not want to be your pet.

Horst Faas, almost half a century had worked in The Associated Press, winner of two Pulitzer Prizes, died Thursday, May 10 in Munich at the age of 79 years.

The sad fact - the military photographers become famous after his death. Those who die in battle, immediately attracted the attention of the media, colleagues and the public. The star of glory shines brightly, but not for long. Those who die a natural death, are awarded only rare mentions in newspapers.

Horst Faas was more than just a talented photographer. The fame he received for his pictures from the Vietnam War, where in 1967 he was seriously wounded. It is for the Vietnamese photos he received both the Pulitzer Prize. Editor in Chief of The Associated Press Kathleen Carroll says of him: "Horst was one of the greatest talents of our time, a brave and courageous editor of the photographer who owns perhaps the most famous photos of the century. He was an irreplaceable employee and great friend. "

Battle to the death between hippo and two lions

These amazing shots show a fight to the death between two lions and a hippo.
After attacking and driving the hippo into deep water, the pair of lions play a waiting game, lying still on nearby rocks for two hours before the hippo ventures out.
Having waited for it to get clear of its bolt-hole, the lions pounce and the plucky juvenile hippo puts up a fight, chasing them away.

Ed Watson was 78-years-old with Alzheimers. He was worried that by the time the court finally ruled on Prop 8, he wouldn't be able to recognize Derence, his partner of over 40 years.

Unfortunately Ed passed away in December. He was never able to marry Derrence.

1,200-year-old village with 17 residents

A village in Mengxian county, Yangquan city of North China's Shanxi province, has just 17 residents. The village is called Dapin by local residents.

The village is called Dapin by local residents. The houses in the village are built by stone on mud with more than 40 courtyards and some are about 1,200 years old, according to Gao Feng, vice director of Cultural Relics and Tourism Bureau of Mengxian county.

It has no doctors, pharmacies or shops and few people get sick, according to some local residents.

The village residents range from 50 to 88 in age, as all the young people are working or living away. The left-behind elders live a peaceful life by farming.
