Bill Warner, a dissident author and advocate of the freedom of speech and an authority on the history of Islam, has provided us with a short, handy book (48 pages) on the chore of understanding Shania law as it applies to Kafirs, or non-Muslims. Sharia law for Non-Muslims is a must read for anyone confused by the jigsaw puzzle of Islamic priorities.

Warner cautions readers in the beginning that the book will treat Islam as primarily a political ideology, rather than as a religion. Islam, after all, is largely a political doctrine of supremacy over all other political doctrines, and is especially hostile to the doctrine of freedom in the U.S. One may see the imposition of Sharia as a political policy in Britain, Germany, and Sweden. Other European nations are steadily inching towards becoming Sharia dominated countries under the guise of “diversity.”

In the teaching program of The Center for the Study of Political Islam , Warner stresses that Sharia is intended to govern not only Muslims but non-Muslims, as well. That intention cannot help but be political.

The perfect Islamic family law is sacred since it is based upon the words of Allah in the glorious Koran and the Sunna of Mohammed. All other man-made laws must submit to the will of Allah; therefore only Sharia is suitable for Muslims. For Muslims to be ruled by Kafir laws is an abomination. (p.17)

Islam is a political doctrine and a religious doctrine. Its political doctrine is of concern to everyone, while religious doctrine concerns only Muslims (p. vi)….

In Chapter 1, Warner writes:

Europe is witnessing a rise in Islamic supremacism, a demand for Sharia, and violent intimidation. Laws passed by European states, and resolutions in universities and other organizations have stifled free speech. While limiting criticism of Islam, authorities have failed to prevent Islamic preachers inciting violence against women and Jews, and have tolerated public calls for violence. Islam has become a protected minority….

As it has become in Britain and Germany.

Sharia tribunals operate in the U.K., run by Islamists who openly defend a man’s right to use violence against his wife. In the U.K. and Denmark, “Sharia controlled zones” have been declared, and in Germany, “Sharia patrols” roam city streets attempting to impose Sharia norms – particularly targeting women and alcohol drinkers….

There is an increase in rape. Rape of non-Muslims is in accordance with Sharia.

Under the aegis of Angela Merkel, rape has increased in Germany over 200%. Sweden has become the rape capital of the world. Increases in the incidences of rape occur wherever large numbers of migrants – especially Muslims – have been permitted by open border s, “diversity,” and “anti-bias/anti-discrimination’ policies to saturate immigration and impose their “superiority” over indigenous populations.

The seizure of Infidel girls and their use as sex slaves is sanctioned in the Qur’an. According to Islamic law, Muslim men can take “captives of the right hand” (Qur’an 4:3, 4:24, 33:50).

You can count on Warner to give a brief summation of what a peril Islam means to the U.S. In Chapter 11, “Demands,” he writes:

Muslim leaders claim: in order for us to practice our religion, you must give us our prayer in school; in the workplace, rooms set aside in schools and worksplaces for prayer; special food (halal); days off for Muslim holidays; head scarves at work and school and allow full body burkas in sports. Kafirs must never criticize welfare support for our many wives, give special treatment to Muslim women in hospitals, and so on.

The Sharia lays out the complete process and strategy of immigration into a Kafir nation and what to do to Islamicize the society….

When Muslims first arrive, they accept their new home. Their first step is to announce that Islam is a brother religion to Christianity and Judaism [taquiyya] Dialogues and “bridge building” sessions are held for the media and Kafir community. They also claim that Western civilization is based on Islam’s Golden Age. [Italics mine]

It is interesting to note that many Islamic rituals and practices are thought to have been cadged by Mohammed and his successors from Christianity and Judaism, which as religions were older than Islam and known.

After these claims are in place and accepted [largely by the MSM and those on the left friendly to the idea of Islam] come the demands for changes in the Kafir nation. Those who resist these changes are called bigots, Islamophobes and racists, even though it is never made clear why resisting political Islam has anything to do with race….

Islam is a religion and Muslims have Freedom of Religion under our First Amendment [under our despised, man-made Constitution]. So we must do whatever they want, if it is religious. [Italics mine]

But every “religious” demand by Islam has a political component which means that the demand affects the Kafirs. Islamic prayer is political and religious. The religious component is actual prayer. The political component is the demand to allow prayer in the street or stop factory line work. This demand is the demand for political submission by Kafir governments. (pp. 38-39)

Abu Ammaar Yasir Qadhi, a Memphis Imam based in Tennessee, preaches openly about what Islam truly is. He makes no bones about thinking that anyone other than a Muslim doesn't deserve anything and are less than Muslims. In fact, part of Yasir Qadhi's preaching includes rhetoric that says non-Muslims lives are forfeit and their property is legal for Muslims to take in jihad, (and this would include women as sex slaves) Recently Yasir Qadhi said that "Jews and Christians filthy, their lives and property can be taken in jihad by the Muslims."

Yasir Qadhi is not only a Memphil Imam, but is is also the Dean of Academic Affairs at the Al-Maghrib Institute. He is a hafiz (has memorized the Qur'an) and he has an M.A. in the Islamic Creed and a B.A. in Islamic Sciences from Islamic University of Medina, as well as a master's and a doctorate in Islamic Studies from Yale.

yasir qadhi During a lecture on Shirk, or polytheism, Yasir Qadhi said that Jews and Christians are mushrikoon, or polytheists, because they have made partners with Allah. From Yasir Qadhi's perspective, only Muslims are monotheists.

He also claims that it is the responsibility of every single human being to bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and him alone.

Now pay attention here. Yasir Qadhi now will tell you what the result and command that stems from this twisted principle.

"And it is because of this same principle of monotheism that the prophet has been commanded to do jihad."

OK, now we're getting somewhere. Did all of you alleged "moderate" Muslims out there get that? Of course, you did. You know this. You know jihad is not just some internal struggle. It isn't about losing weight or getting in shape or some personal goal to be obtained. It is a holy war to advance the caliphate, the Islamic State.

While jihad is not the goal, Qadhi says, it is the means. "It is a means to establish monotheism on the land," Qadhi says.

Let me translate that for any who are still skeptical and buying into the lie that Islam is peaceful. Jihad is a means, a violent means, to an end, or goal, where Islam dominates the United States. In fact, Islam believes it will dominate the world, and I emphasize the word dominate.

Qadhi claims that he "has been commanded to fight the people until they testify."

"The whole reason why Allah has created us and sent the prophet and revealed the books, and differentiated us based upon this principle and allowed for jihad, is the basis and is the principle of monotheism," he continues. "The life and property of a "Mushrik" (someone who does not worship Allah) holds no value in the state of jihad."

As if that wasn't outlandish enough, Yasir Qadhi continues by attempting to differentiate that life is valuable at times, just not when jihad is going on. Well, who knows when that is going on?

Qadhi said, "The life and property of a mushrik [one who worships others besides Allah] holds no value in the state of jihad….which means if they don't sayla illaha illa Allah, their lives and property are halal" — that is, permitted to be taken by the Muslims. "The prophet, and I quoted the hadith before, 'I have been commanded to fight the people until" they profess that there is no god but Allah, and once they convert to Islam, "their life and property become protected from them."

What does all of that mean? I'm glad you asked and so is Yasir Qadhi. This "means if they don't" convert to Islam, "their life and property are halal (or in this case, free for the taking legally) for the muslims."

He then goes on to say that Christians commit "shirk," they are unbelievers, and they are polytheists.

Then he gets into ad hominem attacks on Christians. "They are filthy, a spiritual filthiness which can only be purified by the purity of tawheed (monotheism)." He then adds that Allah believes anyone who is not a Muslim is a "nudge." In other words, a nudge, in Arabic is "najasa," and it means that you are "feces, urine, filthy, or contaminated."

Well, I have news for Yasir Qadhi and all Muslims. The God of the Bible says you are filthy and you distort his teachings and he will come one day to judge you, but should you fail to repent and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ and seek to pursue a jihad on American soil, we will see your jihad and raise you another crusade if you seek to push this filthy, backwards, disgusting and immoral ideology of Islam on us.

There are people who can be assassinated because they offend the Sharia. But in today's politically correct society, to be afraid of anything Islam is proof that you are a racist, or crazy and an Islamophobe. We are supposed to self-censor and never speak of our fear. Facts that offend protected groups are “hate facts”. If we cannot self-censor then the web overlords and the SPLC will censor us.

What is happening is that rational thought is being murdered. However, fear is good and can preserve us from harm. We have a right to fear. We have a right to exist, but this right is being denied by the powers that be. In spite of this oppression, we must speak truth to power.

Jesus Cares and Fully Understands

At times like that, who can we turn to? We might think even the Lord Jesus can’t really understand. But He can! And we can be assured of this fact based on God’s Word.Today we’ll focus on a priceless verse in the Bible, Hebrews 2:17, with the notes in the New Testament Recovery Version. We’ll see that our dear Lord Jesus can genuinely understand and sympathize with us like no one else can. And He’s the only One who can meet our inner need.

Hebrews 2:17 says,

“Hence He should have been made like His brothers in all things that He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest in the things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.”
Let’s look at three crucial phrases in this verse.

1. Made like His brothers in all things

What does it mean that Jesus was “made like His brothers in all things”? Note 1 in the New Testament Recovery Version says:

“The Son of God was made like us, His brothers, in that He partook of blood and flesh (v. 14). This was done for two purposes, one negative and the other positive. The negative purpose was to destroy for us the devil, who is in the flesh. The positive purpose is to be our merciful and faithful High Priest who has the human nature, that He may sympathize with us in all things.”
Hebrews 2:14 (referenced in the note) says,

“Since therefore the children have shared in blood and flesh, He also Himself in like manner partook of the same, that through death He might destroy him who has the might of death, that is, the devil.”
This verse tells us the Lord partook of blood and flesh so that through death He might destroy the devil. That was the negative purpose of His being made like us in all things.

But verse 17 speaks of the positive purpose for Jesus partaking of blood and flesh. This was so He could have the human nature. Since He possesses the human nature, Jesus can be our merciful and faithful High Priest who can sympathize with us in all the difficulties of human life. If Jesus didn’t have the human nature, how could He understand or sympathize with us human beings?

With this in mind, let’s consider the Lord’s life on earth.

Isaiah 53 is a great prophecy and revelation of Jesus in the Old Testament. It says that He would be a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. From being placed in a lowly feeding trough at his birth to enduring a humiliating and agonizing death on the cross, Jesus experienced untold suffering throughout His entire life. He grew up in a poor carpenter’s home in Nazareth, not in a trouble-free environment. He knew firsthand what physical hunger, thirst, weariness, and poverty were. He knew from personal experience what it was to be rejected, misunderstood, mocked, and slandered.

Yet at the same time, the Gospels reveal that Jesus cared deeply for the human beings He came to live among and minister to. His heart was fully concerned for all the sinners He met. He healed the sick, cleansed lepers, and gave sight to the blind. He spoke tender words of compassion to those who were forlorn and miserable.

Jesus cared for every kind of person, no matter how vile; this caused the people who didn’t appreciate Him to belittle Him by calling Him a “friend of sinners.” But how wonderful for all of us that He is indeed a friend of sinners! Jesus understood and sympathized with people’s problems, sadness, and distress. This is the kind of man He was when He lived on earth.

Because Jesus was made like us in all things, and because of all He experienced as a man, He can understand anything we may be going through, no matter how terrible or distressing. We can be sure that whatever painful situation we’re in, He shares in our feelings, sympathizes with us, and cares for us.

Now we’ll look at the second important phrase in Hebrews 2:17.

2. He might become a merciful and faithful High Priest

What do these words reveal about Jesus? Note 2 on High Priest explains:

“As the High Priest, Christ ministers God Himself and the riches of the divine life to us. As the God-man, He is more than fully qualified to be our High Priest. Here, merciful corresponds with His being a man; faithful corresponds with His being God.”
In the Old Testament, the high priest took care of God’s people, and Jesus is the fulfillment of this Old Testament picture. Jesus, our real High Priest, is both God and man. As a man made like us in all things, He’s merciful to us and able to understand us. We can come to Him and be assured that He sympathizes with us in our affliction.

What’s more, as God, Jesus is our faithful High Priest who ministers God Himself and the unlimited riches of the divine life into us. He faithfully ministers these divine riches to us to meet our need in our situation of suffering. We may not even know what we need, but our faithful High Priest knows. He ministers the riches of God into us to meet our need, whether it’s strength, love, hope, encouragement, endurance, or joy.

We come now to the third important phrase in this verse.

3. To make propitiation for the sins of the people

Maybe we feel like we can’t pour out what’s on our heart to Jesus because we’re afraid to come to Him. Perhaps we feel unworthy, or we’ve been away from Him for a while, or we’ve experienced failure in our Christian life. But we don’t need to stay far away from Him! The Lord made propitiation for our sins. Note 4 on propitiation says:

“Jesus made propitiation for our sins, thereby satisfying the demand of God’s righteousness and appeasing the relationship between God and us, that God may be peacefully gracious to us.”
It’s impossible for us to do anything to make our sinful situation right before God. But Jesus loved us to such an extent that He laid down His life for us. He resolved our problem of sin and met all the righteous demands of God through His death on the cross.

So if we’ve sinned, we need to repent—that is, turn back to God—and confess our sins to Him. When we turn to Him and confess our sins, we can enjoy His propitiation again and be forgiven and cleansed with His blood. This makes it possible for us to come to the Lord without fear.

Hebrews 2:17 is truly a marvelous verse! It shows us no matter what difficult situation we’re going through, we can be assured that Jesus understands us fully and sympathizes with us deeply.

How do we experience the sympathy and ministry of Jesus?

Now that we’ve looked at some verses and footnotes in the New Testament Recovery Version, let’s go on to see how we can practically come to the Lord Jesus to experience His sympathy and ministry:

We should first realize that the Lord isn’t far away from us or hard for us to reach. When we were saved, Christ as the life-giving Spirit came to live in our spirit. He’s so close and accessible in our spirit; we can come to Him at any time.
If our conscience makes us aware of any sins we’ve committed, we should confess them to remove any barrier between us and the Lord and be forgiven and washed in His blood. We can come to Him with confidence because He’s already made propitiation for our sins.
We come to the Lord by turning our hearts to Him from everything else and exercising our spirit in prayer. It really helps if we open our mouth and pray audibly to the Lord. By speaking to Him in prayer, we can pour out what’s on our heart into the listening and loving ear of Jesus.
Many of us can testify that we’ve experienced the sympathy and ministry of Jesus, our High Priest. In the midst of our woes, as we uttered what was on our heart to Him in prayer, we had the sense He was listening intently to us, and we were soothed by His sympathy and tender care. Though our outward situation didn’t necessarily change, we were encouraged and enlivened. Jesus not only sympathized with us but also ministered something of God into our being, meeting our deepest need. Words just can’t express how wonderful this is.

We hope you’re encouraged by the words in Hebrews 2:17 and the notes in the New Testament Recovery Version. No matter what we’re going through, we can come to the Lord in prayer. We never have to wonder whether Jesus can understand. He always does, and He can truly meet our need.

Jesus Truly Cares and Fully Understands

Along life’s journey, none of us can avoid worries, hardships, or heartache. When we’re hurt, discouraged, or grieving, we yearn for someone to understand what we’re going through. We may tell our troubles to friends or family, but sometimes they can’t fully understand. And although we may get some relief by telling them about our situation, we still feel a deep need in our heart.

At times like that, who can we turn to? We might think even the Lord Jesus can’t really understand. But He can! And we can be assured of this fact based on God’s Word.Today we’ll focus on a priceless verse in the Bible, Hebrews 2:17, with the notes in the New Testament Recovery Version. We’ll see that our dear Lord Jesus can genuinely understand and sympathize with us like no one else can. And He’s the only One who can meet our inner need.

Perhaps we feel unworthy, or we’ve been away from Him for a while, or we’ve experienced failure in our Christian life. But we don’t need to stay far away from Him! The Lord made propitiation for our sins. Note 4 on propitiation says:

“Jesus made propitiation for our sins, thereby satisfying the demand of God’s righteousness and appeasing the relationship between God and us, that God may be peacefully gracious to us.”
It’s impossible for us to do anything to make our sinful situation right before God. But Jesus loved us to such an extent that He laid down His life for us. He resolved our problem of sin and met all the righteous demands of God through His death on the cross.

So if we’ve sinned, we need to repent—that is, turn back to God—and confess our sins to Him. When we turn to Him and confess our sins, we can enjoy His propitiation again and be forgiven and cleansed with His blood. This makes it possible for us to come to the Lord without fear.

Hebrews 2:17 is truly a marvelous verse! It shows us no matter what difficult situation we’re going through, we can be assured that Jesus understands us fully and sympathizes with us deeply.

How do we experience the sympathy and ministry of Jesus?

Now that we’ve looked at some verses and footnotes in the New Testament Recovery Version, let’s go on to see how we can practically come to the Lord Jesus to experience His sympathy and ministry:

We should first realize that the Lord isn’t far away from us or hard for us to reach. When we were saved, Christ as the life-giving Spirit came to live in our spirit. He’s so close and accessible in our spirit; we can come to Him at any time.
If our conscience makes us aware of any sins we’ve committed, we should confess them to remove any barrier between us and the Lord and be forgiven and washed in His blood. We can come to Him with confidence because He’s already made propitiation for our sins.
We come to the Lord by turning our hearts to Him from everything else and exercising our spirit in prayer. It really helps if we open our mouth and pray audibly to the Lord. By speaking to Him in prayer, we can pour out what’s on our heart into the listening and loving ear of Jesus.
Many of us can testify that we’ve experienced the sympathy and ministry of Jesus, our High Priest. In the midst of our woes, as we uttered what was on our heart to Him in prayer, we had the sense He was listening intently to us, and we were soothed by His sympathy and tender care. Though our outward situation didn’t necessarily change, we were encouraged and enlivened. Jesus not only sympathized with us but also ministered something of God into our being, meeting our deepest need. Words just can’t express how wonderful this is.

We hope you’re encouraged by the words in Hebrews 2:17 and the notes in the New Testament Recovery Version. No matter what we’re going through, we can come to the Lord in prayer. We never have to wonder whether Jesus can understand. He always does, and He can truly meet our need.

The system uses its own currency, the Q, and to get people to start using the system once it's ready they are allocating Qs for free to people that sign up now (the amount drops as more people join - so better to join early). Why should I join Initiative Q?

Why do I need to confirm my email? What happens if I don’t?

Email confirmation helps ensure that accounts are created by real people and not bots. If you don’t confirm your email, it will eventually be deleted from the system and your account will not be activated or eligible for rewards.
Why does an existing member need to verify me?

A secure payment network requires that accounts be associated with real people. This is especially important when potentially highly valuable rewards are at stake. Therefore, we require that all new members be verified by existing users who actually know them. There are incentives for verifying new members, as well as disincentives that discourage verification of contacts you don’t know well or trust.

In addition to preventing false registrations, this process builds a “trust network”, which can later be used to improve security. For example, if a buyer is purchasing a high-value item, it is important to verify that their account was not taken over. In that case, another member who has a trust relationship with the buyer can be asked to check that the buyer is aware of the transaction.
Is this a pyramid or MLM scheme?

Pyramid schemes collect money from new members and distribute it to earlier members. In contrast, joining initiative Q is completely free. So, clearly, there is no money to hand up the “pyramid” to earlier members.

Initiative Q does give Qs to members who join, and more Qs are given to early members and to those who invite their friends. However, the value of these Qs will come from them being gradually accepted as a better currency, in accordance with the “equation of exchange” in economics. Read more.

Initiative Q’s marketing approach is not different than that used by many companies, such as Dropbox, Uber, AirBNB, Zoho and others, that compensate users who invite their friends. In Initiative Q’s case new registrants may sometimes see more value in the reward, resulting in more invitations being sent.

How can I get invited? What if my invite link doesn’t work?

If you were invited by someone who has used up all their invites, you may ask them to connect you to a mutual friend who may still have open invites. Otherwise, the two easiest ways to get invited are:

Submit a post on social media asking your friends whether any of them have already registered and could invite you.
Go to the Initiative Q page on Facebook or Twitter and see which of your friends follow or like Initiative Q — they may already be registered.
What is an “Initiative Q Evangelist” and how do I become one?

Every new member can invite and verify a limited number of friends. This helps ensure a diverse community of Q members and avoids concentrating the rewards among a small clique. However, people who successfully complete all of their initial invites are upgraded to “Initiative Q Evangelists”. Evangelists get additional time and invites to invite others and reserve new Qs.
Can I register multiple times and get more Qs?

You may only open one Q account, using your true details. Providing fake details, details of another person, or opening multiple accounts will result in the removal of all accounts and their Q balances.

Note that this also applies to accounts of the same person using different signup methods, e.g. opening one Q account using Facebook, and another using Twitter.
Obtaining Qs

What do I receive for signing up?

When you register, a certain number of Qs are allocated for you. These reward Qs serve as incentive to join, and they will gradually be released to you after the Q payment network becomes active.
Why would you give away Qs for free?

The greatest challenge in creating a new payment system is how to convince everyone—buyers and sellers—to join when the network is still small. Reserving high Q rewards for those signing up early overcomes this concern, and will allow us to build a payment network that is decades ahead of anything available today.
How much Q do I get for joining?

The maximum amount of Q you can receive depends on when you sign up. At each stage of engagement with Q (initial signup, verification, using the system once it’s ready, etc.) you can claim more Q. It’s important to complete each stage as soon as it’s available, as some tasks have a deadline.
Why is the signup reward constantly decreasing?

Joining after the Q payment network has been widely adopted requires little external motivation, since once the adoption challenge is solved people will value the better technology, convenience and cost. Signing up after millions have joined is also an easy decision, since you already know there's a good chance the project will succeed, and the reward will become valuable.

But joining at the very early stages requires real vision and foresight. We want to compensate our members accordingly.
Why am I required to complete tasks to reserve my full Q reward?

Initiative Q’s unique rewards model is what allows it to overcome the adoption barrier that has impeded previous payment technologies. It encourages fast adoption of advanced payment technologies, while others struggle to attract new users.

Initiative Q will be giving free currency to incentivize actions that help the system grow. That includes tasks such as: registration and verification of friends, installing the Q application, adding information, making purchases, etc. These tasks are in everyone’s interests, as they will help Initiative Q grow, and reach the target of releasing all Qs to members at a value of around one USD per Q.
I want more Qs. Can I buy them?

Why will Initiative Q succeed where others haven’t?

Since payment systems involve a network of buyers and sellers, a new technology only brings value once it is widely adopted — buyers first want to see many sellers offering it, and vice versa. There have been many great payment technologies developed over the years, but they failed to gain universal acceptance due to this barrier. Initiative Q’s innovation is in leveraging the future value of Q itself to incentivize its widespread adoption. Our unique reward system encourages users to become early adopters, and opens the door to adoption of major breakthroughs in the payment industry.
What can I do with my reward Qs?

Once the system is functional, the Qs reserved for you will be released gradually, and you will then be able to use them for any kind of payment or exchange: purchases, sales, rentals, investments, etc.
When will I be able to use my reward Qs?

The reward Qs reserved for you will be released gradually. Distributing all the Qs at the same time would flood the market and devalue the currency. Therefore, once the system goes live and begins to grow, only a set proportion of one’s reserved Qs will be available for spending. The rate at which Qs are released will be regulated to maintain a stable exchange rate of around one Q per one US Dollar, while also incentivizing economic growth. Qs may be granted sooner to members in some locations to accelerate the creation of local Q-based economies.

Economic models show that if Initiative Q succeeds and the Q payment network becomes a leading payment method, then eventually all of the Qs reserved for members will be released while still maintaining this 1:1 exchange with USD.

Are my Q transactions private? Can anyone see them?

Initiative Q is designed to succeed as a mainstream payment network, which means fully complying with all laws and regulations. Transaction information on the Q payment network will be handled similarly to how current payment and banking networks operate, wherein the bank maintains all transaction records, but must safeguard the data and cannot share it with outside parties unless required to do so by law.
How much is one Q worth in USD?

At this stage, Qs are only being reserved, and cannot be used. If Initiative Q becomes a leading payment network, Qs are expected to be worth approximately 1 US dollar per Q. This estimate is detailed in our economic model.
What is your estimate of the Q value based on?

The reasoning behind the estimated future value of the Q payment network can be summarized as follows:

The payment world is stuck with decades old technologies, since it is very difficult to get buyers to adopt a new technology that sellers don’t yet support and vice versa.
Initiative Q solves this problem by compensating early adopters with future currency.
This enables the building of a payment network that is far superior to current ones.
A payment network that is both superior technologically, and widely adopted, would be preferred by both buyers and sellers.
It is realistic to expect that such a network would eventually overtake credit cards, which account for $20 trillion in annual transactions.
The total amount of money in the world is roughly half the world’s annual economic activity. The value of all Q currency could thus reach half of Q’s annual volume (i.e. $10 trillion).
An alternative data point is the value of cryptocurrencies which peaked at nearly $1 trillion, despite hardly being used for real payments (nearly all activity is speculation).
Therefore, the total future value of Qs could reach a few trillion dollars. Since there are currently 2 trillion Qs, the goal of one US dollar per Q is achievable.

What happens if not enough people sign up?

Initiative Q needs many committed users to ensure a meaningful network of buyers and sellers. If a critical mass is not reached, the project may not go forward. Because the rewards are only valuable once the system is functional, it is in everyone’s interest to get others to join.
Behind Initiative Q

Who is behind Initiative Q?

Initiative Q was founded by Saar Wilf, a serial entrepreneur who started his first payments start-up in 1997, and later founded Fraud Sciences, which redefined the payment security space and was acquired by PayPal in 2008.

The Initiative Q team comprises top experts in payment systems, macroeconomics, and Internet technologies. The idea behind Initiative Q is to first create a critical mass of users, which can then be harnessed to create the world’s best payment network. Therefore, currently our primary focus is to get millions of Q members registered, after which we will recruit the world’s top professionals in the space.
What is the monetary committee?

A global currency should not be controlled by one private company. Therefore an independent monetary committee will be appointed via voting by all members and stakeholders in the Q payment network. The committee will only issue new coins for the purpose of maintaining stability, and increasing adoption — similar to how the world’s largest currencies are managed.

The alternative—having a fixed supply of Qs (like Bitcoin) or a similarly simplistic monetary policy—will not work in the real world. Stability of purchasing power is crucial to success, and it can only happen through intelligent analysis of economic activity and customer behavior.

Who are Q agents?

Initiative Q will focus on the technology, standards and regulation of the payment system, while delegating the financial operation to hundreds of local agents. These local agents will be responsible for customer service, safeguarding members’ funds, connecting local stores, legal compliance, and settling with other agents. Agents compete with each other to manage member accounts (buyers or sellers), and receive a small fee for transactions they process. Together they enable the Q payment network to be a truly global system, with local branches providing individualized support and access.
How many Qs are there? Who holds them?

Two trillion Qs will be issued, to be distributed as follows:

80% are expected to be distributed as incentives — to encourage user activity and promote network growth. Around half of the incentives are reserved for buyers, and the rest for sellers, agents, contributors, and to incentivize growth-supporting activities within the Q network.
10% are assigned to the Initiative Q payment company, for the purpose of funding development of the world’s most advanced payment network.
10% are assigned to the Q monetary committee monetary reserves. These will be gradually converted to other currencies and financial assets, allowing any Q member to easily convert to other currencies if needed. Monetary committee members will be compensated according to industry standards.
Once the initial 2 trillion Q are fully distributed, the monetary committee may create and distribute new Qs in order to keep the money supply in line with economic activity and to maintain stability, as outlined in the economic model.
Now that this concept is out, what prevents a hundred new Initiative Q-like networks from popping up?

For a new payment network to succeed, it must reach wide scale adoption. Buyers should see many sellers supporting this payment option, and sellers should see many buyers requesting it.

If the market fragments into many networks, this is much less likely to happen, and everyone loses — the competing networks, the buyers and the sellers. It is therefore a high priority for Initiative Q to deter copycats, at least during the initial growth phase. This includes:

Exclusivity incentives — Initiative Q will provide incentives for sellers who commit to using the Q payment network exclusively.
Legal — Core components of the Initiative Q model are patent pending.
Trade secrets — Initiative Q has several tools to accelerate growth, which will be rolled out in the future. To keep the competitive advantage these will be exposed only when necessary.
Rapid growth — Most importantly, the faster the Q payment network grows, the harder it will be for a newcomer to catch up. Here you can help: get more of your friends on board, and increase both your rewards and the likelihood of the Q payment network’s success.
To be clear: while a unified network is required for success, competition is important to drive progress and innovation. The Q payment network is therefore designed as an open network of independent operators who compete on connecting buyers and sellers to the network.

Qs vs Crypto

How is this different from Bitcoin and cryptocurrency?

Cryptocurrency is a brilliant solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.

Cryptocurrency is digital money that is hard to counterfeit. While the mathematical foundation is ingenious, an “immutable money ledger” is far from being a major need today. Our money is already digital, in the form of bank computer records, and no one is worried that these records will suddenly disappear. This is due to a robust system of trust and governance that protects individuals from such risks.

While many dislike this complex system, it works reasonably well and there is still no better alternative. In fact, the anti-counterfeiting measures that cryptocurrencies offer create an array of much worse problems:

Transferring security risk to the currency owners: Removing banks from the system also removes the protection that banks provide in security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution, leaving individuals vulnerable to theft, scams, and human errors.

To protect themselves, cryptocurrency users are expected to undertake complicated security procedures such as generating cryptographic keys using dice, entering them into an unused laptop that is later destroyed, storing the keys using special hardware from multiple manufacturers, and keeping paper backups in bank safes.

Comparing that to credit cards, which allow consumers to make payments using just a few unencrypted numbers while being fully protected from losses, underlines how far cryptocurrencies are from becoming the currency of the future.
Unstable value: A basic requirement for a currency is stability and predictability in purchasing power. This requires a carefully managed monetary policy that matches the money supply to current economic activity. Cryptocurrencies have either no monetary policy or an overly simplistic one. As a result their value fluctuates rapidly, rendering them unhelpful for purchases and trade, with all activity driven instead by speculation.
Legal controls: Whether we like it or not, governments still hold ultimate power and they insist on regulating currency transfers, financial transactions, investments, and their underlying mechanisms. Any currency that attempts to circumvent such regulations, including most cryptocurrencies, will face an uphill battle to wide scale adoption.
Reversibility: No matter how good a system is, if humans are involved there will be mistakes and misunderstandings. Allowing transactions to be reversed benefits both buyers and sellers in the long-term, as customers can engage in the market more confidently. Of course, reversing a transaction should be allowed only for certain reasons — something that can only be determined by human beings following procedures. This goes against the decentralized nature of cryptocurrencies, making wide-scale adoption difficult.
Waste: Bitcoin’s energy consumption is equivalent to that of 6,000,000 households and emits 90,000,000 kg of CO2 (200,000,000 lb) every day. Worse, all that energy is spent to support just 2 transactions per second—a far cry from the thousands of transactions per second on the credit card network.
Initiative Q’s main goal is to achieve global adoption, and Initiative Q therefore prioritizes ease of use, stability, security, efficiency, and legality, over abstract goals like decentralization. This is a real world solution for real world problems. It is based on a network of Q agents, who employ thousands of people, conform to local regulations, and ensure that members receive quality customer service and are fully protected from thefts and scams, without requiring them to become security experts.

However, some of the concepts behind cryptocurrency are valuable, and may be deployed in Initiative Q’s backend, for settlement between Q agents — where these disadvantages become negligible.

Is this an ICO?

No. ICO, Initial Coin Offering, is a term used in the cryptocurrency world to describe the public sale of newly issued coins. Initiative Q’s goal is to become the standard in payments and to create a global currency. That requires adoption by hundreds of millions of members, which will not happen if they are required to pay. Qs will therefore be distributed for free.
How is this different from an “air drop”?

“Air drop” is a term used in the cryptocurrency world to describe free distribution of coins. While Initiative Q will distribute free currency, that by itself is not enough to revolutionize payments. It can only succeed in synergy with two other actions:

Requiring members to undertake simple tasks to qualify for the rewards. These are tasks that promote wide scale adoption of Q, for the benefit of all members (read more about the reasoning behind these tasks above).
Development of a state of the art payment system. The eventual success of Q is based on it being the safest, easiest and cheapest way to trade. The free distribution of coins is only interesting insomuch as it promotes the adoption of advanced payment technologies (See our payment system vision).
Additionally, Initiative Q is not a cryptocurrency, which allows it to avoid the many shortcomings of cryptocurrencies (see above).
