Are You Going to Allow N500 Prevent You from Being Successful?

2022-05-07T23:54:00.005-07:00

We all want to be successful and live a comfortable life where we can enjoy the good things with our family and friends but many of us do not take action. Would you like to know how you can effectively change your life for the better -- right here, right now in Nigeria?

My name is Abdulkabir Olatunji and I am a tech enthusiast and my enthusiasm has seen me work for companies like Uber, Indriver and others I am not allowed to mention for confidentiality. This is aside from being a Google Certified Project Manager and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM). I am also a co-founder and COO of JarusHub.com which is Nigeria’s leading career guidance and mentoring platform – we have trained thousands of young Nigerians to excel in their career.

Over the years, I have noticed a huge gap between the dreams of young Nigerians and the steps they are taking to achieve them. Sure, millions graduate from Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education each here. Yes, many seek admission and travel abroad to study and hopefully get to live a better life abroad. Of course, many just hustle to Japa to Canada, Yankee and others. Japa na Japa!

However, these form a minute percentage of the majority of young Nigerians and I won’t get into the debate about whether those that have Japa are always successful or not. My focus is on HOW YOU CAN MAKE A GOOD LIFE FOR YOURSELF IF YOU ARE IN NIGERIA. My reason for this is simple, I am Nigeria-based and the information I am willing to share with you will open your eyes to ways you can live comfortably in Nigeria and if you can live comfortably in Nigeria, you can live comfortably anywhere in the world you decide to relocate to. Just make it here first to avoid stories that touch.

So, what do I have for you?

Imagine you could find out the following:

How to get training from big tech companies for big jobs for free

How you can build a successful career without a university degree or tertiary education using tech
How to retain your career and maintain a thriving side hustle using tech
How to build a successful business using tech
How to help your children or younger ones become very successful quickly using tech
How to reduce your stress and achieve cool work-life balance using tech

How to get into the tech industry with no experience

Remember the roles I mentioned that I hold? You might not believe it but I can do all of them working from home. In fact, sometimes it is more productive to work from home than go to the office. Some companies will even tell you not to come. My health and lifestyle has improved greatly with this flexibility and freedom while still earning a good income often better than those doing traditional 9-5 work.

Dear reader, in this post Covid-19 era, it is those that adapt quickly to change that will benefit from it the most. Those that don’t will struggle and will still have to leave their job someday even if it is through retirement.

I have compiled most of what I know in my eBook titled: How to Make it Big with the Big Global Tech Companies in Nigeria

This is a straightforward e-book with several links to so many great opportunities you cannot afford to miss out on. I have been selling this book for N1,200 on Selar previously but I have had a mind shift after completing Ramadan and Eid. I want to help more people, the more people I help, the more blessings I can expect from God too.

People paying N1,200 for this eBook

So, instead of N1200, I am going to sell it, right here, right now for N500. Yes, you read right if you pay right now to my bank account:

GTB

Olatunji Abdulkabir Olajide

Send me the screenshot of payment via WhatsApp on 08085404500. I will send this life-changing book to you via email or WhatsApp, whatever you decide.

Buyer's reaction after reading the ebook

There’s probably a voice there telling you not to buy or make payment – don’t listen to it. Do not allow N500 get in the way of your success. This opportunity might never come your way again. As the popular adage goes- Opportunity Only Comes But Once.

This my good mood won’t last forever. Act Now!

I look forward to hearing from you my friend and share in your success and testimonies in the near future.

Let us succeed together!

How to Make Money by Getting Onboard Uber as a Dispatch Rider or Logistics Company in Nigeria

2022-04-25T08:47:00.004-07:00

Uber Connect allows people to send and receive parcels and small packages

Uber is rapidly transitioning globally from just being an eTaxi app and business to a mobility solutions provider. One of such solutions, Uber Connect was launched recently in Nigeria and logistics companies and dispatch riders have an opportunity to increase their earnings by getting onboard Uber by registering with the company to start receiving delivery requests which they in turn deliver to earn their fee.

Documents You Need to Get Registered

In order for the Driver to take trips on the Platform, he/she will need the following:

Driver documents

Rider card
NIN OR Drivers License to prove the Date of birth
Profile Photo
NIPOST document ( if not acquired through a fleet)

Fleet Partner Documents

NIPOST document (in colour)

Vehicle Documents

Insurance
Stage Carriage
Hackney Permit

The great thing about this service is that logistics/delivery companies with NIPOST registration and certification can onboard all the riders on their platforms thereby increasing their revenue and profitability. Uber charges a very small percentage for its service which is currently 5%. This is a great opportunity for smart managers and owners in the logistics business to get an edge.

Getting Registered

You can do this easily by visiting the Uber office in Lagos or contacting one of the Uber Heroes designated to help you complete the process. I am one of the Uber Heroes in Lagos and you can contact me via WhatsApp or phone call on 08085404500 to get registered for FREE.

Let Me Give You a Solution if You Don't have a Car to Start Uber in Nigeria

2021-12-08T04:50:00.001-08:00

You don't have a car for Uber? No problem, this post is most likely what you need.

eTaxi is a job from the gig economy that many people are entering because it is relatively easy to enter and fast to make decent money from.

However, many young people have a major hurdle which is not having a car to start working with. This situation became worse a few years ago when a lot of fleet owners left some of the platforms due to increased commissions.

There is hope though, Moove Africa, transportation startup in affiliation with Uber is giving out cars to drivers that have valid license and have been registered and approved by Uber. Of course, not every candidate that applies gets a car but for those who do, there is the option of working on rental or hire purchase.

Let us look a bit more about these options:

Moove Flexi-Rental

As the name suggest, this is a rental arrangement. You pay Moove a weekly rental fee to drive a new car on Uber.

Moove Drive-To-Own

With this package, you sign-up to a payment plan to complete the agreed price of the vehicle in 30, 36 or 48 months. Of course, there are terms and conditions attached and both sides have to agree to this hire purchase arrangement.

Depending on your objectives or financial capacity, one of these options might be good for you. The good news if you are interested is that I am an Uber Hero (Brand Ambassador) and I can begin the process of you getting registered on Uber if you contact me.

I can be reached via WhatsApp or phone call on 08085404500.

Please note that this opportunity is currently only available in Lagos. I will update you if it is extended to other Nigerian cities.

Honestly, if you have not employment and can drive, this is an opportunity you should not ignore. All the best in your endeavours and as you try to make ends meet.

How to Start Work as an Uber Driver in Nigeria (Simplified)

2021-09-23T07:36:00.002-07:00

Uber was the first international e-Taxi company to register its presence in Nigeria and till today it is still the name that most Nigerians use to describe the entire business regardless of the app they use. For anybody looking to earn considerable income from e-Taxi business in Nigeria, signing up on Uber is a good way to go.

In this post, I am going to help you simplify the process as an Uber Hero (representative) in Nigeria.

There are a few things you need to know:

1. Uber registers fleet owners: these are people that have themselves qualified to drive on Uber and then added cars to form a fleet. They may then decide to exclusively manage their fleet or drive a car and oversee other cars in their fleet.

2. Uber registers partner-drivers: these are drivers with their own cars or they have acquired on hire purchase.

3. Uber registers drivers: These are people with valid licenses that are at least 21 years and have passed the situational survey and successfully completed virtual instruction. They do not have cars and are yet to be added to a fleet at this stage. This begs the question; why should you even bother to register on Uber if you do not have a car to drive yet?

Let me give you a few reasons:

i. It establishes you as a qualified driver that can be supported or empowered with a vehicle provided you have the integrity to go with your driving skill.

ii. It gives you the opportunity to work with a company called Moove. They offer cars on rental and hire purchase to qualified Uber drivers.

Now, what do you need to get started if you want to be a registered driver (No.3)?

1. A valid driver's license.

2. Willingness to drive in cities where Uber currently operates which are: Lagos, Abuja, Benin, Ibadan, Calabar and Port Harcourt.

3. A recent smartphone with minimum of 2gb RAM, the higher the better.

4. Contact me via WhatsApp on 08085404500 to register you for free. These are the three things I will ask from you:

i. Your First Name:

ii. Your Surname:

iii. Your active phone number on your smartphone:

I will put you through and educate you on what you need to complete the process.

Once you are activated as a driver, you can talk to Moove or any other party that can give you a car to work with.

Now, lets look at the requirements for those looking to get onboarded on Uber and already have their cars.

These are the requirements to get your car Uber in Nigeria.

Car Specifications for Uber in Nigeria

Model year 2000 or newer
4-door car
Good condition with no cosmetic damage
A working radio

Your paperwork

Vehicle inspection report
Vehicle insurance
Roadworthiness certificate
A valid Hackney permit

These are requirements in addition to what has been listed for drivers above. To be a fleet owner, you still need to register as a partner-driver first, so complete this process and add your first vehicle details before applying to run a fleet.

All of this can be confusing for a newbie but you can contact me on 08085404500 and we could get you working on Uber if you have your car and documents intact in 36 hours.

Honesty Can Get You Out of Poverty this Eid Ul Adha (Ileya)

2021-07-19T13:10:00.003-07:00

Are you a young man feeling frustrated about life because you can't find a job or the one you have earns you little and you can barely save N1,000 at the end of the month?

Let me give you an idea of what you can do this Eid ul Adha (Ileya) season. A lot of your successful kinsmen and neighbours will be more accessible around this time, whether you are celebrating Eid in your home town or city. Find time to socialize with them and be helpful to them. Ensure, that you let them know that before they leave town you just want their advice and assistance on an idea you have to better your life.

Pitch the idea of them facilitating your access to a car to do e-taxi work, let them know that your 5-year plan out of poverty involves working to earn money from this business either by paying the car owner rental or purchasing the vehicle on hire purchase over 2-3 years.

This is where your honesty comes to play. The investor would be interested in knowing if you are trustworthy and will not run away with the car, misuse the vehicle and do other things to cheat them and break your agreement. You are likely to need guarantors, again, it is your trustworthiness that will encourage people to stand for you.

Of course, you need to be a good driver and have a license for this to be feasible but you can always work on these if they are lacking. You might need to talk to a few people before finding anybody, but don't be discouraged by initial scepticism or rejection, keep asking, keep trying and of course, pray for divine intervention.

You are not interested in e-taxi? No problem, replicate the same process with whatever you need to do to make progress in life; be-it a scholarship or a business grant.

Leverage on your honesty and keep to agreements, your breakthrough might not be far away with dedication and commitment to work.

Best Ways to Buy a Car on Hire Purchase for Uber (e-Taxi) Business in Nigeria

2021-06-16T02:00:00.000-07:00

The e-taxi business popularly called 'Uber' in Nigeria is one that many people have either engaged in or would like to be engaged in. For many people trying to get into the business, a big barrier to entry is to cost of purchasing cars. Renting cars and paying weekly returns to the car owner is an option but that is fraught with problems of mistrust that usually leads to arguments over payments to the car owner and who is to pay for maintenance.

Having interacted with many drivers who are eager to work but cannot afford to buy cars outright, I did some research and present to you what I consider the best options for those trying to buy used cars on hire purchase for Uber and e-taxi business in general.

Best Hire Purchase Options in Nigeria

1. Autocheck.Africa

This platform has a wide array of foreign used cars available with their vehicle inspection result detailed, right from the listings, you are told what is right about the car and what is wrong with it. You can go for inspection with your mechanic and also test drive the car at the Autocheck.Africa facility.

Getting finance for the car and being able to take possession takes the following 4 steps:

How to Get a Car on Hire Purchase from Autocheck.Africa

Step 1: Complete a short form and get personalised cars to choose from

Step 2: Select a car and review the terms of finance.

Step 3: Apply for a loan and receive personalized offers.

Step 4: Accept a loan offer and drive home your dream car.

Because you are getting a car that you reasonably understand its pros and cons, this is an attractive option that many drivers might consider with the bonus of being able to pay for the car in installments after getting financing to acquire it.

2. Betacar.ng

This is another platform similar to the first. They are ready to provide financing to drivers who own a car or have a structured registered business. These are the steps required if you are interested:

How to Get a Car on Hire Purchase from Betacar.Ng

Step 4: You will get an approval or rejection email within 10 minutes.

Step 5: If approved, you will get an email listing the documents needed, so start preparing all your documents.

Step 6: Visit Betacar HQ office for inspection and test drive.

Step 7: Scan all required documents and submit as a reply to the email address (betacarfinancing@betacar.ng).

Step 8: Betacar.ng team will review and let you know once your application package is completed ... And you are all set.

According to Betacar.ng, your car could be ready for pick-up in 1 week after submission of all required documents.

3. Pukena.ng

This is another platform ready to give cars to salary earners who register with it to get a car for Uber. They say they prefer Toyota Corolla.

Step 2: Get pre-verified. Provide proof of income/ evidence of salary domiciliation.

Step 5: Sign and drive away!

Pukena.ng requires a down-payment of N150,000 to get started on its hire purchase scheme and you have 12 months to complete payment for the car.

4. Nairaland.com

Nairaland is Nigeria's largest online forum and you can find people doing just about any business you can think of there. There are drivers and car owners there trying to link to each other and you can register to express your interest in getting a car on hire purchase.

How to Get a Car on Hire Purchase on Nairaland.com

Step 1: Register an account

Step 2: Search for threads on buying cars on hire purchase like this one.

Step 3: Express your interest on the thread and give details of how you can be contacted. You can also contact owners to have a meeting with you where you can agree on terms of hire purchase agreement and when to start.

This is more of one-on-one conversation and as such, you should take all security precautions like only meeting with people on a major road and verifying any office address before visiting to ensure that it is a legit location. Nairaland has good and bad people, it is up to you to screen and carefully scrutinize any offer that is made to you..

My Uber story and how you can start yours

2021-06-12T04:34:00.002-07:00

If I say I have many ogas, it is not an exaggeration because I work with so many people and institutions. Some have been dropped over the years and some are still active. Our levels of engagement vary from director, consultant, partner, recruiter and so on.

I recognized over a decade ago that I am not the type of person you will give one job and try to control like an automaton. The oga that tried it about 13 years ago was dancing in his seat the day I told him I was leaving. Apparently, nobody had told him the things I had politely told him that night, no one else probably will.

I digress, this post is really about the e-taxi business. The last 10 years has seen us move from corporate coloured cabs to ride-sharing platforms. I partnered with Indriver as a recruiter in 2019 and it gave me so many insights into the business. Even after they stopped paying me for my services, I kept helping people to address the problems they were having getting on their platform -- for free. We are talking about taking about 10 calls plus multiple WhatsApp messages on some days. I did this for primarily 2 reasons:

1. To know the business to a point of being relevant in the industry.

2. As a form of personal social responsibility -- every person I help to get on the platform has dependants they can better-provide for with the job. If you can add value to others without detriment to yourself, do it.

Now, the thing about adding value to others is that it builds authority and authority attracts value to you. It happened that some representatives of Uber saw what I do and decided to contact me to do it for them. My response? "Why not gentlemen?".

So, in the last few weeks we did our onboarding and I am pleased to let you know that I am officially a recruiter for Uber.

Driver I helped register giving feedback on approval

My job is to identify interested and potential drivers to join the platform and help them start successfully. This is at my own time and pace within what is acceptable to Uber.

So, dear friends, if you or anyone have a car that qualifies and are ready for Uber, you can contact me. Call or WhatsApp 08085404500. I am ready to help you get started on your Uber journey.

Twitter's Loss is Koo's Gain, Indian App now in Top 5 Most Downloaded Chart for Nigeria

2021-06-10T07:07:00.006-07:00

Twitter got banned in Nigeria last week and the ripples of that decision by the government of President Muhammadu Buhari are still being felt.

The Nigerian government announced the ban via a Twitter thread ironically via Twitter thread which read in part: "The Federal Government has suspended, indefinitely, the operations of the microblogging and social networking service, Twitter, in Nigeria".

One of the fallouts of this ban is the rapid adoption of a rival India-developed microblogging app called Koo.

The app promises to respect laws of any country it operates in and Nigerians are trooping to it as an alternative

to Twitter which reports say has entered talks with the Nigerian government on how to have its ban lifted.

Koo is now listed as the 5th most downloaded app on Google Play store in Nigeria from almost no where.

In a move that is likely to bolster Koo, the Nigerian government has opened an account on the app.

Co-founder and CEO of Koo, Aprameya Radhakrishna wrote: “A very warm welcome to the official handle of the Government of Nigeria on @kooindia! Spreading wings beyond India now”.

It is not yet clear if this is the beginning of huge growth for Koo in Nigeria and beyond, only time will tell.

Indriver's New Replenish Policy and How to Pay Your Commissions as a Driver

2021-05-05T05:03:00.003-07:00

Indriver now charges 9.5% commission per trip.

Many e-hailing drivers have been enjoying Indriver in Lagos since 2019 and it has been a major lifeline for many people with its zero commissions policy and getting paid by passengers in cash. Many drivers just love the convenience and I have received countless calls from them over the last 2 years to get on the platform. Some of them still call it "Indrive", I don't know why.

However, Indriver has now effectively started charging commissions on trips. The good news is that it is lower than the other major companies.

All You Need to Know About Indriver Commission

1. It is a flat rate of 9.5% per trip.

2. You get charged when you get to the pick-up destination also known as 'A Point' and when calling the passenger before pressing the "I arrived" button.

3. The commission is refundable if the passenger refuses to show up. Just remember to click the "Passenger didn't show up" button. You will be refunded after 30 days. If you do not click the button, you will not get a refund.

4. You pay your commission through the replenish prompt. I will share the detailed process next:

How to Replenish Your Account on Indriver

Step 1: Open the Indriver app

Step 2: Switch to driver mode if you are not there already.

Step 3: Open the app menu by clicking on the 3 horizontal lines on the left hand side of your screen.

Step 4: Click on my account, you will be taken to your Personal Account, where you can find your balance, refunds and your status.

Step 5: To replenish your account, click on "Top-up account".

Step 6: Select a payment option; "Bank cards" or "Bank Transfer".

Step 7: After clicking "Bank cards", fill in the card details (card number, expiration date, CVC, Cardholder name. Please ensure you only use your card for this not someone else's.

Step 8: Enter your email.

Step 9: Enter an amount above N300 (three hundred naira)

Step 10: Click "Pay in".

How to Pay Using Bank Transfer Method to Replenish on Indriver

Follow the steps above to Step 6. At Step 6, choose "Bank Transfer" option.

Step 7: Enter an amount above N300 (three hundred naira) with your name and email then tap "Next".

Step 8: Select your bank from the list and click continue.

Step 9: You will receive an OTP on your phone (One-time password). Enter it and confirm. Your Indriver account will be credited.

My Uber Story

Quick Access to Fast track Payment

Check for the "Pay" button in the lower right corner of the app and you will be immediately taken to your "Personal Account" to complete payment by bank card or bank transfer.

Yes, Indriver has started charging commissions but it is still very low to its top competitors -- Uber and Bolt and drivers still get their money upfront and only need to replenish their account to continue using the service. I think it is a practical but effective step by the company to add value to drivers and passengers while remaining competitive.

Get additional help with replenishing your Indriver account as a driver.

Finding a Suitable Spouse just got Easier for Muslims with the Launch of SoulConnect.Ng

2021-01-20T04:39:00.003-08:00

Marriage is an institution that is fundamental to the growth and development of society. In Islam, it is of great importance as it is established as a wedge against many vices and is relied-upon as a foundation for harmony between men and women where natural needs and responsibilities are met.

Allah says in the Qur’an:

"And one of His signs is that He created mates for you from yourselves that you may find rest in them, and He put between you love and compassion; most surely there are signs in this for a people who reflect." (Chapter 30 verse 21).

It was narrated from Aishah that:

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “Marriage is part of my sunnah, and whoever does not follow my sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married, for I will boast of your great numbers before the nations. Whoever has the means, let him get married, and whoever does not, then he should fast for it will diminish his desire” (Ibn Majah, Book 9, 1846).

It is in line with these goals that a new matchmaking website for Muslims has been launched by a group of Muslims in Nigeria. The website called Soulconnect.Ng aims at linking eligible Muslims with their potential spouses based on their preferences. Each user is allowed to register and update their profile to be listed on the website for free. However, only paying users will have access to additional features based on the service they choose which include: monthly, semi annual and annual options. This allows for flexibility and gives people interested an opportunity to invest more in finding a suitable Muslim spouse.

Soulconnect.Ng is an improvement on the Muslim Singles Matchmaking Service (MSMS) which was started on Nairaland.com by a group of Muslim members on the forum in October, 2014. Close to 7 years after, the team has had time to build on its successes in matchmaking Muslims for marriage and establish this new website to take its service to a larger audience.

According to Co-founder/CEO of the website; Architect Yussuf Babatunde Lawal, also known as “Penmight”: “SoulConnect Matchmaking Service is connecting Muslims and helping to develop a new generation of young Muslim families. Our testimonials speak for us, join us today and experience great service on SoulConnect.Ng where we do things in compliance with Qur’an and Sunnah”.

For Muslims interested in using this service, all they have to do is visit SoulConnect.Ng, create an account, update their profile and engage with the community. There is the option to have chaperones appointed for you on the website to help you navigate the course towards marriage with a potential spouse. Also, to improve the security on the platform, the website has a dedicated team scanning its database and activities of users to identify and remove scammers, users with fake identities and other nefarious individuals.

This is definitely a positive development as we hope to have more success stories from the website soon.

How to Retrieve your NIN and Link it to MTN, Airtel, Glo and 9Mobile Number Online Easily in Nigeria

2020-12-19T03:40:00.001-08:00

The Federal Government of Nigeria as part of its efforts to improve security in Nigeria has made it mandatory for all National Identification Numbers (NIN) issued by the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) to be linked to each person’s mobile phone(s). This is to ensure that each Nigerian can be tracked with the mobile phone line that they use. In recent years, terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, online fraudsters and other criminal elements have been hiding under anonymity and lack of effective enforcement of mobile SIM registration to carry out different crimes.

How to Retrieve Your NIN Number

If you have registered your SIM cards, applied for your Nigerian passport, vehicle number plate or drivers’ license or already have a Bank Verification Number (BVN) in the recent past, there is a high chance that you already have a National Identity Number (NIN). To check and access your NIN, follow these steps:

1. Dial *346# on your mobile phone.

2. Press 1 to retrieve your NIN from the USSD menu

3. Your 11-digit NIN should appear as a USSD message.

4. Write it down somewhere safe

Note: This service is now free as the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Ali Pantami has ordered the NIMC to stop charging N20 for it.

For some people, they might be told, they do not have a NIN. It is better to check with all the mobile phones that you own. I found it available on my Airtel line but not on my MTN. Since, one NIN applies to you regardless of the telecom network you want to link to, it is much better to confirm that you truly do not have it by checking *346# on all your mobile lines.

If truly you do not have it, try visiting any of the NIMC offices closest or convenient for you to get registered.

Now, after identifying your NIN, you need to link it to your mobile phone network to prevent it from being barred. Let us look at how each network does it:

How to Link Your NIN to an MTN Number

1. Dial *785# using the phone number you wish to link.

2. Enter your NIN and submit

Alternatively

Dial *785*Your NIN# from the phone number you wish to link. You can also download the MTN App on your mobile phone http://bit.ly/myMTNapp and submit your NIN there.

How to Link Your NIN to an Airtel Number

1. Dial *121*1#

2. Submit your 11 digit pin

Alternatively

1. Dial *121#

2. Press 1 for NIN Capture

3. Enter your NIN and submit

How to Link Your NIN to a Glo Number

1. Get your mobile phone with the Glo SIM

2. Text: UpdateNIN NIN FirstName LastName to 109

For example: UPDATENIN 12345678903 Chidera Abdul-Ola

3. Get confirmation of your submission

How to Link Your NIN to a 9Mobile Number

1. Dial *200*8#

2. Follow the prompt and respond accordingly to submit your NIN

Alternatively

Visit http://9mobile.com.ng/nin to register

There you have it folks, let me know what your experience linking all 4 networks has been like by dropping a comment.
