Thanks for telling about your sons macrodactyly. My daughter also has macrodactyly, but only the middle finger is affected, and not very much.
I is always good to have two doctors opinion, in all cases. Wish you good luck with treatment!

Hi: I'm 59 and have been active in music and sports all my life. I had two fingers affected at birth: the index and middle; left hand. At 6 months old the middle finger was amputated to allow for more dexterity. Of course in 1950, surgery was not nearly as advanced as today. Long story: I've been a drummer all my life. I have played on many albums and toured around the world. I am now blessed to have a career in commercial real estate, a wonderful family, and a 7 year old daughter. Though this anomaly may seem tragic, it is not. You learn to conceal and deal. I am just now considering surgery not for cosmetics but to relieve some pain. I have experienced numbness for many years and have been having increasing pain I believe from possible nerve damage to the large finger. Oddly enough I think it is beacuase I am still playing drums a bit too hard! Anyway, be grateful that God has blessed you with a unique son who will find a path that works for him.

Jay can't ad-lib for beans. Toss him off of his scripted responses and he's nothing. That's where Conan and Letterman really shine, in the off-the-cuff zaniness.

oh man! I hated Jimmy Kimmel before this. The few times I watched his show he was totally unfunny. This has made his stock skyrocket! The fact that Jay couldn't come up with a single zinger back really showed how much of a comedian he ISN'T.

So, I still think she's rather pretty, but I would rather a snaggletooth than someone who can't spell. Try "exhibit." Yeah, the "h" is silent, but it is also present. >.>

NBC is clueless. I dont really care for either Conan or Jay, but I do sometimes watch Jimmy Fallon. The Scrubs move was a joke they kept changing dates and times, I am convinced that the show could have been just a step below Friends if they ever gave it a chance.

The Office thing is crazy too those idiots do not follow Hulu, NBC.com, iTunes, Amazaon downloads, DVR watches in a 24 hour period, but just the old fashion nelson.

Chuck is another thing, I read somewhere that their target demo was where they wanted it to be with their overall was a little low, so they nearly canned a show that was at their target demo??

I really liked Kath and Kim which ran for a full season and the characters were great, but they canceled that. I am afraid Community or Parks and Rec will get the can.

They do not debut 30 Rock till mid October and had the chance at ratings gold when Tina Fey was portraying Sara Palin in the 2008 election but kept running SNL weekend updates instead of the red hot Tina Fey.

So we will be introduced to crap reality shows or deal or no deal week marathons after the Olympics since it will be nearly impossible for 5 new scripted shows to be ready
