The Razor Skyline build on top of the musical foundation they've laid over the last 3 albums and push the songs to new polished heights under the guidance of Jon Klein, guitarist, producer and song writer with the legendary bands Specimen and Siouxsie and the Banshees. Dark Water Oasis is an allegory of the desperate times we live in, the hope of redemption in the desert we ourselves have created only to discover that the well is poisoned.

Electrovot were formed in 2006 in Tijuana, Mexico by Mikel Andrew (keyboard, programming), Rob Sandoval (vocals, lyrics) and Fabrizio Cholet (keyboard, backing vocals). The band fuses a danceable, dark, melodic style of electro/future pop with lyrics that focus on the trials and tribulations of life and love. 

In 2008, Electrovot got in contact with Krischan Wesenberg of the acclaimed German band, Rotersand, who was impressed with their potential, and decided to produce the band’s album Turning Point” (2011), enlisting the support of his colleague Thomas Lesczenski of :[SITD]:.

 

The band has gigged extensively, sharing the stage with Nitzer Ebb, Amduscia, Hocico, Icon of Coil, Accessory, Spetsnaz, FGFC820, Noisuf-X, C-Lekktor, God Module amongst others. In addition, their tracks can be found on various club/radio DJ playlists in north America and Europe, plus Electrovot’s been quite busy regarding remix cooperations, for example with De/Vision, Accessory, Amduscia, Rotersand, :[SITD]:, Komor Kommando, Red Flag.

 

In 2012, Rob Sandoval was recruited by Chris Reynolds of Red Flag to record lead vocals for the Red Flag album “Serenity”, released that same year. In 2013, Electrovot commenced working on their second album, “Elegant Love”. Produced by Tom Lesczenski of :[SITD]:, the album picks up were "Turning Point" left off, further distilling their trademark sound, an intoxicating blend of synthpop, wave and electro. Smooth beats, elegant keyboard riffs and pumping baselines merge into an irresistible stream of beautiful and soulful tracks. Floating on top are Robs fantastic Vocals singing about the the trials and pain, as well as the uplifting aspects, of romantic life. Other themes are unity among people, tolerance, and struggling to stay on one's own path.

This The Klinik box set is not only the most comprehensive anthology of the band's music ever released, it is also an important documentation of a vital piece of history of electronic music. Belgian band The Klinik is one of the few artists that have managed to leave a lasting imprint on an entire scene. Many of today's protagonists would simply not exist in their current form had it not been for the influence of this seminal group. More than three decades ago, Marc Verhaeghen and Dirk Ivens created a completely new sub-genre in electronic music, by consequently combining minimal, cold, dark and raw Industrial-elements to create a sound that was completely unique and had never been achieved in this form before. With their unique mix of club-compatible Electronica, catchy Pop-melodies and predominantly German-language lyrics that range from poetic to rather biting, Melotron have managed to settle into their very own little pigeonhole within Germany's flourishing music scene.
