It's not enough for full-color multifunctional systems to offer vibrant image quality, high productivity and incredible versatility. Beyond high performance, today's users need environmentally-friendly solutions that offer security features and extensive choices for managing documents. The Lanier LD635C delivers all this and more in a convenient, cost-effective design. Use this innovative system to accomplish any critical task—from printing and copying to scanning and faxing, from finishing and distribution to color control and workflow execution. The Lanier LD635C helps fast-paced offices produce flawless documents securely and efficiently with more collaboration and less outsourcing.
Also sold as the Savin C9135, and Ricoh Aficio MPC3501.

Superior Hard Drive Security

Hard drives often contain confidential files. If left unprotected, they can be a target for hackers and thieves. Lanier helps ensure your hard drive stays safe.

Reduce the risk of anyone extracting sensitive documents from the hard drive, even after the system reaches end of life. The standard DataOverwriteSecurity System (DOSS) automatically overwrites the area of the hard drive used for image processing after the completion of each job, making it virtually impossible to recover documents. At the end of the system’s useful life, the entire hard drive can be overwritten, which destroys the data before it leaves your location.

General Features

Easy to use, oversized, full-color LCD touch panel display

Delivers superior color output resolution up to 1200 x 1200 dpi

Uses less power without changing workflow or inconveniencing users.

One of the lowest Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) values in the industry

Standard DataOverwriteSecurity System automatically overwrites the HDD after each job

Standard HDD Encryption encodes stored files for maximum defense against hackers

Paper supply up to 4,400 sheets

Delivers fast first copy in just 7.8 seconds (FC) or 4.9 seconds (B+W)

Easy-to-replace toner cartridge

Easy-to-grip paper tray handles

Choose from a variety of professional finishing options including hole-punched, saddle-stitch and folded booklets

Provides an array of document management capabilities including, but not limited to, archiving, managing, and sending/receiving files

Multiple security levels both standard and optional to satisfy your security requirements

Store and retrieve documents on-site with built-in Document Server

View job queues and check supply levels with Web Image Monitor and SmartDeviceMonitor

Print photos directly from a digital camera

Mail-to-Print capability. Print remotely by sending an email instead of connecting to the local network.

With a print speed of 70 ppm, the bizhub PRESS C70hc is ideal for graphics professionals and print shops that require higher quality output. Advertising agencies, graphics arts firms, creative design studios, photography studios, direct mail organizations, and commercial printers all stand to benefit from using the bizhub PRESS C70hc.

The bizhub PRESS C70hc leverages Konica Minolta's eco-friendly High Chroma toner, first introduced with the game-changing bizhub PRO C65hc. The environmentally friendly toner incorporates innovative new technology enabling it to produce a wider color gamut than the typical four-color device in the marketplace. In addition, it generates less waste and emits less CO2, NO2, and SO2. Further, the toner particles are consistently sized and smaller when compared to conventional toner size particles for a smoother finish and sharper text.
This is similar to the luxury car that clicks the Check Engine Light when you have operated the car for a specific number of hours. Your mechanic will reset a switch, give the car a good looking over, and charge your lots of money.

To replace the fuse, first turn off your machine. Open the panel on the right side of the machine.

Lift the tab to open the panel.

Remove two Phillips head screws.

Remove this screw.

Remove this screw.

Open the panel on the left side of the machine and remove the waste toner cartridge.

Lift this tab to open the panel.

Remove the waste toner cartridge from the blue part in the middle.

Pull out the Image Transfer Belt unit. Only grab the Image Transfer Belt unit by the black plastic part. Once the handle springs loose, hold the Image Transfer Belt unit by the black plastic part and the handle. When the Image Transfer Belt Unit is sliding out of the machine, make sure you see which slot the Image Transfer Belt Unit slides.

Remove the Image Transfer Belt Unit by pulling on this plastic part.

Place the Image Transfer Belt Unit on a clean surface. Completely covering your platen glass with clean paper is a good clean surface. Inspect the Belt for damage. If you see any nicks, creases or tears in the Image Transfer Belt, call your Konica Minolta service representative for a new Image Transfer Belt Unit. Near two electrical contacts is a small panel. Remove the screw indicated.

Remove the fuse and replace with a new 250V, 80 milliamp fuse. Before replacing the fuse, it might be good to check that the fuse is working.

Replace the fuse cover. Holding the Image Transfer Belt Unit by the black plastic part and the handle, and slide it back into the correct slot on the right side of the machine. Replace the waste toner cartridge and close the panel. Replace the two screws on the left side and close the panel.
Turn your machine on, and you should have a happy machine.

The bizhub PRESS C8000 offers 1,200 dpi print resolution, to reproduce the finest detail in both images and text. In close-up view, curved lines reveal less jaggedness – giving letters and graphics smooth, clean accuracy.

Up to 4800 high-quality color pages per hour.
At 80 color pages per minute, the bizhub PRESS C8000 will raise your print production to the productivity level of presses costing far more. But speed is only part of the story. Speed plus color quality, image stability and heavyweight throughput – that’s a revolutionary combination of advantages to grow your business.

Handling paper with just the right touch.
To boost your productivity, the bizhub PRESS C8000 incorporates a host of new technologies for handling substrates, improving registration accuracy and maintaining high-speed output with superior reliability.

As paper runs through your printing path, an improved registration unit automatically detects and corrects for image skew after the leading edge of the paper passes the front loop rollers. Because front and rear rollers are driven independently, paper alignment can be more accurate.

A new Hybrid Decurling function combines a series of advanced decurlers with an optional humidification system (HM-101) to provide just the right amount of moisture to the paper after printing. Uncoated stock runs more smoothly – and printed paper cools more quickly as it moves into the finishing stations.

The bizhub PRESS C8000 also has a unique dual fusing system that creates a rich, brilliant finish on heavy paper – the kind of finish you’d only expect from offset equipment. This dual fusing system provides the highest paper speed for heavy and coated stock; when your job can be printed on thinner paper, the second fusing unit is automatically bypassed to keep productivity at an industry benchmark.

Guess what is common about the copies that you make, the faxes you send and receive. They're still in the copier. Once that copier has left the building, either by end of lease, repossession, or sale, the documents are still available to the next person who operates the machine. That person may be at a competing company, a remarketer's facility, or in China.

Wiping the hard drives inside the machine will make the machine unusable, as the operating system for the copier is on the hard drive, and in many cases, features like print, scan, or fax, or even the machine's serial number are encoded on the hard drive.

If this security breach explodes as much as CBS wants it to, since it came out at the beginning of February Sweeps, the manufacturers will need to take care of the issue, but it will probably become the liability of the remarketers or retailers. Only time will tell.
Remember to reattach screws or secure them with painters tape.

Turn off and unplug the machine.

If the finisher has a sheet feed on top open it upwards.

On the back left side of the main unit locate and detach the connector plug. Protect the connector plug from damage during transportation.

Locate the Philips head screw on the back top of the finisher near to the machine and unscrew the screw.

Slide the top cover of the finisher toward the back and lift up.

Locate the metal hooks (one in front and one in back of the finisher) and unscrew all screws that fasten the hooks in a locked position. Some screws may be missing.

Lift the hooks into the up position and roll this finisher away from the machine.

Return the hooks to the down position and replace the screws.
