The quizzes showed excellent understanding of the first chapter of the course, even a little better than last year’s small classes. It serves to reinforce my belief that I teach the best kids in the state.

My three Pre-calculus classes came in with excellent preparation from grade school through Algebra Two. My calculus classes (two AB and one BC) have attacked limits and continuity with gusto. I love it that I get most of my students for more than one year so that the first week is a kind of reunion and we don’t waste much time getting into the curriculum.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your children with me. They give me joy and purpose!

I have been consumed with school for about a month now, and all I need is the kids. We will start math on the first day of school-complete with homework. Students need pencils, spirals, a graphing calculator (TI-83 or 84), their brains, and a willing spirit. A few graphing calculators are available for checkout if you are having a difficult time getting one. On the first day of school, I will distribute a letter which will give specifics about each class and its expectations.
