Parents of current students please take note of the changes made to our class calendar for this week. The study session scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, November 30th has been cancelled, as well as the chapter 5 test scheduled for Thursday, December 1st. Instead, we will be testing chapter 5 with chapter 6 on Thursday, December 15th. Also, the Spanish verbal exam previously scheduled for last Wednesday will take place this Thursday, December 1st. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.

Upcoming Field Trip by Tiffany Hedger

Next week the 9th grade classes will be going on a field trip to Smith and Bybee Wetlands. Please view the attachment for details and the permission slip. If you are a parent and would like to volunteer to be a chaperone, please contact your student’s homeroom teacher.

Hello! Sorry I haven’t posted recently, the past two weeks have been quite hectic. If you haven’t been on my page in a while, please stop by to check out the class calendar that is finally up and running. Although I will not be posting daily assignments to the calendar, it will contain the dates and deadlines of major projects, exams, and assignments. Be sure to check back often for updated information. Thank you all for your patience.

It has been a week since my last post, and things are coming along nicely. In our core classes the students are beginning to settle in to the routine of things, and are gearing up for their first AP Environmental Science test this Friday. Today in Spanish the students read their first stories, and 5th period even began writing stories of their own. Overall I continue to be impressed with this group of young individuals (though we do need to work on keeping the classroom clean). Attached to this post are a schedule for the open house on Wednesday, as well as an assignment log, which may be useful to students who struggle with organization as the assignments start to pick up. I hope you all are able to attend the open house, and I look forward to meeting you then. Chao!

Thank you to all my wonderful students and their parents for making today a successful first day back. I enjoyed meeting all the new faces, and I am more excited than ever for what lies ahead. After a quick-passing summer of conferences, classes, and travels, I am excited to be back and to kick off the new school year. I’m looking forward to meeting new faces, and I eagerly anticipate the new experiences we will share.
