The practice will be at 9am tomorrow and we should finish around 1:30. Like last week, Mr. Dunton will be providing pizza for the students once they are done with the test. Isn’t he a nice guy?!

It is that time of the year again when we gear up to take the AP tests! Just in case the students haven’t passed along the message, I thought I would make sure you knew the dates of their AP tests.

AP Environmental Science is May 7th at 8am. Students must arrive at school on time! We usually do a quick gathering in the high school commons, then students are taken to the HS gym to start the test promptly at 8am. The actual test is 3 hrs. long, but students usually are finished right before lunch. They continue the rest of their normal school schedule afterwards.

AP Human Geography is May 18th at 8am. Yep, you read it right. That is on a Friday! The national AP test dates are determined by the AP College Board. So, there is nothing we can do to alter the test dates or times. We usually do an optional breakfast gathering before this test. I will get more details to you when we get closer to this date.

An AP Bulletin should be coming home tomorrow or within the next couple days. This has basic information on the AP program, the schedule, and how the scoring works. All students will be registering for the test at school tomorrow (it’s much more efficient that way).

Thank you for supporting your students throughout this year. They have worked hard for this!

Human Geography: We will follow our plan to have two periods of HG tomorrow with 4th period being review and 6th period being the ch. 10 test.

Algebra 1: TEST 20 WILL STILL BE ON THURSDAY. I think it makes the most sense to take the test tomorrow, rather than wait until after Spring Break.

English: Letters are due tomorrow. Remember to bring a stamp and envelope!

APES: Food, Inc. is delayed until we return from break.

The plan for tomorrow is to do Wednesday as scheduled. That means tomorrow we will be doing two periods of Environmental Science and take the test 4th period as originally planned.

Monday (3/5) will follow the finals schedule originally set for Wednesday.
Tuesday (3/6) will follow the finals schedule originally set for Thursday.

That means that your Human Geography Ch. 9 test will be on Tuesday.

I know all you really want to know is whether or not we are still taking the Ch. 9 Human Geography test tomorrow. The answer is YES. THE CH. 9 APHG TEST IS STILL TOMORROW (THURSDAY).

Here is what my detailed schedule will look like tomorrow:
Per. 1-2 (Human Geography): We will take per. 1 to finish up Ch. 9 stuff and per. 2 to review for the test.

Per. 3 (My Spanish II class – 1st period): We will review for the final which will be on MONDAY instead.

Per. 4 (English): It is supposed to be English, but we are going to use this period to take the Human Geography test.

Per. 5 (My other Spanish II class – 7th period): Not sure yet, but it will be fun! I won’t have your final graded because they are at school!

Per. 6-7 (Environmental Science): We will use this as a long APES period and continue with our water unit. Your HW (read p. 324-332) still needs to be done.

Hopefully that clears things up! Monday will follow the finals schedule that was planned for today. I will let you all know what that looks like for your individual classes tomorrow.

As of today, the new test date for Ch. 7 human geography is Friday the 20th and the test day for Unit 6 Environmental Science is Monday the 23rd. You can find the APES study guide posted on today’s date on my calendar.
