Remember …..

Our Field Trip is on Wednesday,

October 12

We will be going to the Discovery Center in the Dalles

and Columbia Hills State Park

We will be leaving promptly at 8:15

so be to school by 8:00.

You will need a snack and lunch,

unless you have preordered from the cafeteria. No glass please.

No candy. No soda pop.

We will be outside part of the day, so dress for the weather.

No umbrellas!

Thank you for those of you who have contributed $3.00 to help

cover the cost of this trip. We are still collecting.

Chaperones must pay the $3.00 charge.

Chaperones please notify me ASAP if you are not

able to make the trip. Chaperones may need

to carpool.

This week I would like to work on getting any remaining fluoride or registration forms that have not yet been returned.

Also, a reminder that our field trip to the Discovery Center will be on October 12th. I am still missing several field trip slips. If possible we are asking for a $3.00 contribution to help offset

the cost of this trip.

The school phone system has been updated. The new office number is 503-261-4200 and my room number is 503-261-4200. I can also be contacted at my email – blilly@corbett.k12.or.us

We also have a new plan for afternoon dismissal. If you are picking up your child you will no longer pick them up at the outside classroom door. All pick up students will be in the grade school cafeteria at 3:30. Please be prompt in picking up your child.

Another change this year is a legal requirement that the district must notify parents of a student’s absence or tardiness. If your child is not in the classroom when role is taken at 8:00 they will be marked absent. If your child is tardy I will make the change on attendance as I have time during the day. However you will still be receiving an automated message for either an absence or tardy.

I am looking forward to seeing you on September 7th for the Back To School Barbeque and Open House.
