<p>This year I made it to Pennsic. I took only one class this year, but it was a goodie: the class given by Lady Sarra on French hoods that stay put.  I arrived about 10 minutes too late to get a kit, but I did get a copy of the literature (including a pattern) and followed along as the rest of the class assembled their hoods.</p> <p>I took what I learned, including the fact that there&#8217;s only documentation for hoods being black, gold, or white, and the veil is almost always black, and I tried again myself. This time, it worked (helps when you have a good pattern!).<br /> <a href="http://mypict.me/lKbJ"><img src="http://mypict.me/upload/0/5/182/5182439.jpg" alt="" width="400" /></a></p> <p>By the way, the pictured hood is made using a gray on black brocade material, with a gray sheer material for the veil.  I haven&#8217;t added the billiments yet. I need to buy more beads first.</p> <p>For those who would like to do this, I recommend you email the instructor at [sarrabunny at hotmail dot com] and ask her if she will provide you with a copy of her handout.
