I love wavy hair. That’s not because I have the same hair texture myself but it’s also because you can easily style it in any way you choose. Wavy hair has a very flexible texture which makes it easier for wavy hair to be styled in a straight or curly fashion. If you are lucky enough to have wavy hair, you might also want to enhance its beauty. There’s a lot that can be done to make wavy hair look even better. I was making a list for my own use and I thought about sharing it on this blog so that it becomes accessible to more people. The list is as follows:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Make Your Hair Healthy And Shiny, 2. Permanent Hair Extension, 3. What Makes Hair Grow Faster and 4. Homemade Damaged Hair Treatment Advice.

Don’t rub your hair with a towel

The most common mistake people usually make while dealing with hair is that they rub it with a towel to soak the excess water. Even though that helps to reduce the water content in the hair, it also promotes split ends because the constant rubbing tends to break and crack the hair strands. Instead of rubbing your hair with a towel, wrap the towel around your hair and let it stay like that for some time. Wrapping your hair in a towel will also make the waves more prominent.

Be careful about your haircut

The way you cut your hair and the place you get your hair cut from can really enhance or kill your wavy hair. Layers are best suited for people with a wavy hair texture. Layers give the impression of volume and give it the additional bounce. The place where you get your hair cut from will have an effect (irrespective of its magnitude) on the haircut itself. Experienced hair stylists know textures and hair quality well enough to be able to cut it to a person’s advantage.

Look for the right hair care products

Your hair care products and your hair regime goes a long way in enhancing the quality of your wavy hair. Use hair care products that are specifically designed for wavy hair to maintain the shine and the bounce that this hair texture is known for. Wavy hair has a tendency to become dry so make sure you moisturize it. Use a deep hair conditioning mask at least twice a week on clean wet hair to enhance your look. It has worked for me so I am sure it will work for you!

Get rid of any hair product residue

Hair product buildup is a common problem but it’s easy to get rid of it. Special clarifying shampoos that help in washing out any residue buildup from hair sprays can be purchased from stores or the Internet. Since wavy hair is naturally bouncy, any product residue will weigh it down and make it look flat. Therefore, making sure your hair is residue free is very important for the way you look.

Use a long finger diffuser

Long finger diffusers are excellent for drying wavy hair. The long fingers allow the user to lift a particular segment of the hair while drying it to give it a natural wavy look. Also, special wavy fingers can be purchased separately to enhance your existing waves.

Give your waves the right curls

An easy way to promote and improve your waves would be to divide them in sections, twist them, roll them up, put pins to hold the clusters together and let them dry on their own. That will give your hair natural looking waves and since that is the real texture of your hair, the waves will stay longer.

Scrunch your hair

Hair scrunching is another way of making your waves look more prominent. You can scrunch your hair once it is partially dry. Using a long finger diffuser is a good way to dry hair before scrunching because that will help to bring out the existing waves. Scrunching your hair is a lot like crumpling paper. You just have to take a segment and crush it with your hands. That’s how easy this is.

Use the correct hair cream

Hair creams can help in enhancing waves in your hair. Use creams that are especially made for this purpose. Bumble & Bumble hair cream is known to work for enhancing waves.

Twist and dry

If you don’t want to get into any kind of complications to enhance your wavy hair, you can simply divide them into segments, twist them with your fingers and blow dry them individually. This is an effortless way of enhancing wavy hair.

Don’t brush it

Brushing your hair is a bad idea if you have wavy hair. Brushing divides the hair strands into very small fragments and makes it look very frizzy. Instead, use a wide toothed comb. Try to catch hold of a wooden comb if possible because that helps in maintaining and improving the existing waves by reducing the static.

Big plastic curlers

Plastic curlers also help in making hair look wavy. People with natural waves can use plastic curlers to enhance them. Don’t use small curlers because they will make your hair look very curly instead of enhancing your natural or temporary waves.

Finish with an Epsom salt spray/mist

You can also make a concoction of salt and water to spray on your hair before you comb or scrunch it. Epsom salt reacts with water to make an effective hair spray that helps to give it a specific form. However, don’t use too much Epsom salt in the spray because that can make your hair dry and brittle.

College is all about freedom and with freedom comes responsibility. Once we go off to college, we are expected to do everything on our own including taking care of money issues. Usually, when we enter in college, we get so distracted by everything that goes on around us that we lose track of our expenses. With so many new things to see and be a part of, before you know it, your monthly allowance is over. This is where the responsibility that follows freedom comes into play. How you spend your money will ultimately affect you so it’s important to spend money wisely and if possible, to save some money every month. Here are a couple of tips that can help you to spend your money more wisely:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Save Money, 2. Places to Meet Rich Women, 3. High Paying Part Time Jobs and 4. Ways To Pay For College.

Make a budget and stick to it:

Planning in advance is the key to success. If you make a list of your expenses at the beginning of the month, you will know exactly where you stand financially. This estimation can be very helpful when it comes to spending on entertainment because you will know your limit. Following a plan will also ensure that you do not have to compromise on the essential things like books and stationary because of overspending.

Prioritize:

Prioritizing is very important when it comes to spending money wisely. Priorities are always on the basis of ‘needs’ and ‘wants’ so the first step is to be able to distinguish clearly between the two. Any expense related to your course is a necessity, a ‘need’ and should not be avoided or delayed.

Look for theatres that give a student discount:

Being a student and using money wisely is not synonymous with a boring life. It just means that you should consider the alternatives before you spend on something. A lot of theatres in and around the campus give student discounts. In fact some of the theatres are really affordable and they cater especially to students. Look for such an option if you want to watch a movie in a theatre.

Look around the campus to find affordable entertainment options:

If movies don’t interest you that much, every campus offers other entertainment options like concerts and festival which are very affordable. In fact, some of them don’t even charge any entry fee so be on the lookout for something like that.

Look for clearance sales/student discounts when you shop:

An important part of being a college student is wearing the right clothes to portray the right image. When shopping for clothes in college, keep your eyes open for clearance sales. You can also ask around for a student discount because some shops in and around the campus provide that option as well.

Choose your cell phone rental wisely:

Cellphones are a massive expense in college. A lot of college students choose rental plans that don’t work with their usage and they end up paying extra unnecessarily. So, when you choose your rental plan, don’t jump for the first plan you get. Look through all the options to find something that agrees with your usage. A pay per minute plan usually works the best.

Plan before you enter the grocery store:

Trips to the grocery store can become very expensive if you don’t know exactly what you are looking for. Make a list of all the groceries you will need before you go to a store and avoid spending on things you won’t need.

Cook in your room:

Food accounts for a huge part in an average college student’s life. Therefore, spending wisely on food can really help you to save. Cooking on your own or with your flatmates is always money well spent and it costs lesser than getting a home delivery everyday or going to a restaurant.

Get a flatmate/roommate:

Lodging is another aspect of college life where you can save some money. Instead of staying alone and paying the entire rent, getting a roommate or some flatmates can cut your share of the rent in half or lesser so you will have more money to cover other expenses.

Use cash instead of card:

Credit cards are very important for building a strong credit history so try to pay off your balance before the due date every month so as to avoid paying the interest. However, credit cards can also become a huge debt for college students so whenever possible, use cash instead of card. In fact, when you spend physical money for purchases, you automatically become careful of where you spend it.

Don’t invest in a brand new car:

Opt for a second hand car when you are in college. Better yet, try to walk the distance when you are inside the campus to save some money on gas and if you are planning to go outside the campus, check out your options for arranging a carpool.

Use second hand textbooks and furniture:

Second hand goods can be just as good as the new ones if chosen wisely. Things like books and furniture can be a big expense during college so if you get good quality second hand products at a discount, buy them instead of spending more for meeting the same purpose.

Instead of buying DVDs and additional books, borrow them from the library:

Your library is an untapped resource of knowledge and entertainment. The next time you want some extra reading material or if you want to watch a movie, go to your library and borrow books/DVDs from there without having to pay a single penny.

Open a student checking account/student savings account:

It will give you a place to store all your savings (if any) so that you don’t end up spending everything. This is not an expense or a saving but it will help you to better understand where you stand financially so that you can make wise decisions.

Be around people who spend wisely:

The kind of people you spend your time with really makes a difference when it comes to spending money. Students who have a lot of money will not care about where they spend it and having them as friends will pressurize you to spend money beyond your comfort zone at some point. Associate with those who understand the value of money and spend it with care.

A family picnic is the one time when everyone comes together to create a memory that lasts forever. When the gathering consists of such special people, it’s natural for anybody to want to make it perfect so that everyone gets their fair share of fun. This article lists a few ways you can use to ensure the family picnic is perfect:

Decide on a place

The first thing that needs to be decided before planning the details for any kind of picnic is the destination. Discuss with your family members to figure out whether they would want to go to a park, the beach or any other place for the picnic. Make sure the decision is unanimous because a picnic is about fun so everyone should be in a happy mood.

Make a list

When doing something that involves a large number of people, making a list of all the important things is the best way to go about it. It will help you to plan things out so that everything goes according to plan. Make a list of your family members to ensure that you invite everyone. Make a checklist of all the things you will need for your picnic.

Plan the menu

Menu planning comes next. Include food that isn't prone to getting spoilt. Make a list of appetizers that will appeal to everyone and make sure you include a lot of sweet treats in your picnic basket for the family to enjoy together.

Ensure that the food is easy to make

Food can become a huge hassle in picnics and it can keep people on their toes. Avoid taking food that will require reheating unless you are planning on barbecuing. If you want a hassle free lunch, carry cold sandwiches, different kinds of cheese spreads and basically anything that people will enjoy eating even if the food isn't heated.

Do prep work in advance

The day of the picnic can be very cumbersome with the entire family running about so prepare everything that you can in advance. Do all the slicing, dicing, cooking and labelling boxes a day in advance to make the picnic a very relaxing affair for everyone, including yourself.

Arrange for a family photo

No picnic can be perfect without a memorable family picture. After all, these are the memories you will cherish forever. You can boost everyone’s enthusiasm by getting personalized t-shirts for everyone. Even if the t-shirts aren't personalized, try to make all the family members wear something similar so that the picture reflects the strong family bond.

Think about some bonding games

What can a picnic have if not games? Games are always a source of fun so make sure you plan some games for everyone to enjoy. If you are heading out to the beach, carry a volleyball or a football with you. If your destination is a park, include some board games as well.

Carry sufficient coolers

One thing that people underestimate when planning for a picnic is the capacity of an average ice cooler to hold drinks. Since the demand for ice cold beverages is usually on the higher side in a picnic, carry 2 or 3 coolers instead of 1. Make sure you have enough ice to fill these coolers with.

Keep an eye on the weather

The weather can add a lot of fun to a picnic or take away the point of it completely. Before you leave your house, switch on the weather channel and go through the weather forecast. It will help you to stay on top of things, prepare for any possible climatic changes and even cancel the picnic if required.

Carry umbrellas, an extra set of clothes and a first aid kit

Whenever you plan for a picnic, make sure you pack the basic things like umbrellas, an extra set of clothes for every family member and a first aid box to be well prepared for any kind of emergency.

Use disposable containers

Picnics are supposed to be hassle free so why bother with all the utensils and cutlery. Unless you are planning to have a barbecue, avoid taking any proper utensils with you. My personal favorites are aluminium or foil containers which are usually used for home deliveries. You can buy a bunch of them and pack all your food in it. Similarly, use plastic cups, forks, knives and spoons so that you can trash it all in a garbage bin before you head back home.

Carry sufficient beverages and water

Once you have a rough estimate of the headcount, make sure you carry enough water and beverages for everyone. Running short of these two essential things can cast a shadow on everything that you had worked hard for.

In fact, I think it’s even more difficult because you cannot understand what impression the interviewer is getting from your responses. There are certain codes of conduct that need to be followed when giving an interview over the telephone to make it work to your advantage. I have detailed the ‘Do’s’ and the ‘Don’ts’ of a telephonic interview for your convenience:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Answer Tough Job Interview Questions, 2. Thank You Letter After a Phone Interview, 3. Phone Interview Questions and 4. Informational Interview Questions.

Do’s

Do sufficient research about the company

When you prepare yourself for the telephonic round, make sure you gather sufficient information about the company itself. If possible, try to get an idea of the responsibilities you will have in the post that you have applied for to give the right answers.

Do smile when you speak

A smile can help you to make a great impression. You might be wondering why I am mentioning the importance of smiling in a telephone interview. Well, when you smile in person, it reflects in your voice and gets conveyed to the interviewer. It will make you sound very approachable and positive over the phone.

Do go through some common telephone interview questions

The Internet is full of examples of common telephone interview questions and as I mentioned earlier, it’s a smart thing to be as prepared as you can when giving an interview, whether it’s in person or over a telephone.

Do stay away from distractions

When giving your interview over the telephone, it’s important to listen to what they say because your responses and answers will be based on what you hear. If you have people in the room with you or the television blaring around you, chances are that you will get distracted and lose focus.

Do keep your tone in check

The principle of smiling goes for your tone as well. There are codes of conduct that needs to be followed while giving a telephone interview and this is one of them. Since your interviewer can’t see you, he will judge you on the basis of what you say and more importantly, how you say it.

Do be available at the designated hour

Punctuality is important in any interview. Had this been an interview in an office, you would have tried to be there on time. Since this interview is over the phone, be available at the designated hour if that has been mentioned to you.

Do keep your questions ready

As much as an interviewer would want to know from you, he will also be willing to answer any questions you might have regarding the position you have applied for or the company. Make a list of your questions beforehand so that you don’t get caught off guard. Don’t feel shy. It’s natural to be curious about a new job but make sure your questions are intelligent.

Do follow up

Following up after an interview is very important. It shows an applicant’s eagerness to work with an employer. Even if you don’t get the job, follow up to ask about the areas where you lagged behind this time so that you do not repeat the mistake during your next interview. It will reflect your ability to take criticism and your willingness to grow.

Don'ts

Don’t speak out of turn

When participating in an interview, it’s very important to give your interviewer the chance to finish his sentence. Even if you have a wonderful answer in mind, wait for his sentence to end before you begin with yours. That’s just basic courtesy and it should be followed to make a good impression.

Don’t sound nervous

Believe it or not, your interviewer will be able to figure out any kind of nervousness. That’s because firstly, nervousness will reflect in your voice when you speak to him. Secondly, people who conduct telephone interviews basically have the talent as well as the experience to analyze a person by hearing his/her voice and listening to his/her answers so keep any kind of jitters at bay.

Don’t eat during the interview

This again is a common courtesy. In fact, when people eat while they talk, they are hardly ever comprehensible. This will actually work against you even if you are the most deserving person there. Don’t create such communication barriers for yourself.

Don’t answer any other calls

Suppose you are giving a telephonic interview and your partner/parent/best friend calls. What are you supposed to do? Nothing! Never put an interviewer on hold to attend another call because that is a serious markdown. If possible, deactivate call waiting for that particular day.

Don’t talk over the speakerphone

Another common communication barrier is the speakerphone. Never receive any important calls over the speakerphone because more often than not, the voices get jumbled up and sound distant. Speaker phones can affect clarity at any point of time so it’s not a good option for answering vital calls.

Don’t forget to listen carefully before you speak to your interviewer

Before you start with your answers, carefully listen to what the interviewer is saying. That will help you to follow the same line of communication and help you to give appropriate responses or answers.

Don’t try to make things up

Finally, never try to make a lie when giving a telephone interview. The apprehension can be easily read because remember, the person taking the interview knows what he’s doing. He does that for a living so don’t try to fool him or yourself.

Do you remember your first crush? The happiness, the confused feelings and the beauty of it all? The first time a child experiences anything close to love can be really difficult for the child because of the new emotions he/she discovers. As a parent, it’s important to be understanding, patient and comforting. You might not like it or give it much of a thought but it is a vital part of growing up for your child. Here are a few things you can do to handle your child’s first crush:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. What Makes A Good Teacher, 2. Make Kids Feel Loved, 3. Be A Good Grandmother and 4. Prepare Your Child for Their First Job.

Let your child feel comfortable

Dealing with the first crush is a very sensitive time for your child so irrespective of how funny or cute you think this is, don’t make fun of your child’s feelings. Avoid teasing your child about his/her crush because that is only going to tamper with your child’s self esteem if anything.

Be a source of comfort

Kids are usually confused because of all the feelings they experience for the first time. Be a source of comfort and compassion for your child. Let your child know that he/she can discuss his/her feelings with you and deal with some of the confusion.

Ask your child about the things they admire about their crush

A good way to deal with your child’s first crush is to ask him/her the qualities that he/she admires in his/her crush and what made him/her like that particular person. It will make your child feel cared for.

Don’t obsess about it

As a parent, it’s alright to get worried and be scared of this developing into something serious but don’t let your child feel any of your fears. The feeling is the result of your desire to protect your child so don’t freak out or start obsessing about it.

Let your child enjoy the feeling

Since this is the first time your child is experiencing such emotions, let your child enjoy it. Don’t tell him/her that it will all be over or that people change as they grow up. Even though that is the real deal, let your child understand it on his/her own.

Set some limits for your child

Just because you are being open about your child’s first crush doesn't mean that he/she can take your approval for granted. Set a few ground rules so that he/she doesn't cross his/her limits. Let him/her know that you are still the parent.

Share your child’s excitement

Be a part of your child’s growing up process. Sound excited and interested when your child shares any stories regarding his/her crush with you. Don’t make a big deal out of it and go crazy to show your level of interest though. A little acceptance is all that your child is looking for.

Don’t ignore the situation

Some of you might still think about how your parents didn't understand how big your first crush was for you. I for once really wish my parents had acknowledged my first boyfriend as a boyfriend and not as my ‘little guy’ friend. Don’t try to ignore your child’s sentiments or the situation even if you don’t particularly like it.

Don’t ask too many questions

Excitement is one thing but don’t get too inquisitive to show your interest in your child’s life. Let your child share his/her feelings, thoughts and opinions with you. A few questions should do the trick. Your child will know that you are keeping an eye on him/her without being too intrusive.

Handle your urge to jump to conclusions

Don’t willingly jump to conclusions about your child’s crush by listening to what he/she has told you. It’s a child you are dealing with so his/her judgement should matter but not too much. Hold your train of thought till you meet the crush yourself.

Don’t make any hurtful comments

A first crush is usually an on and off sort of a thing because of the confusion involved so don’t respond to a ‘breakup’ with sarcastic comments. This is your child’s time to grow and develop so understand that it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Don’t say anything that will hurt your child or lower his/her confidence level.

Encourage your child to deal with his/her feelings himself/herself

This is probably the first independent decision your child will make/has made so be a source of comfort and advice but don’t try to fight your child’s battle. Encourage your child to deal with the hurt feelings or happiness on his/her own.

Ask your child to maintain a healthy balance

It’s quite natural for children to get confused when dealing with such severe (for their age) emotions. As a result, many kids mess up their grades and their social life so encourage your child to maintain a healthy balance between his/her love interest, school life, grades and duties at home. Such an attitude will also help your child in the future.

Invite the crush over to your house

As a parent, it is important for you to know who your child admires so much. Also, inviting your child’s crush to your house will keep him/her away from public places and you can keep an eye on the two of them.

Comfort your child if it doesn't work out

Since this is your child’s first tryst with love, it is obvious that things will come to an end after a few days. If your child feels hurt at the end of it, be a source of comfort and say encouraging things. Never say, “ I told you so!”

Anyone with a job understands the importance of a graceful and diplomatic resignation. Even if you aren't on the best of terms with your employer or immediate superior, you should still consider the option of resigning in a pleasing fashion. You never know when you might need your old job, a favor or a reference from him. Here are some suggestions to help you to resign gracefully:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Easy Jobs That Pay Well, 2. Let’s Resign With Grace, 3. Deal With Bullying In The Workplace and 4. Deal With Difficult People.

Don’t share your decision with your colleagues before you speak to your immedidate superior

Since you are resigning from your position, your immediate superior should be the first person to know about it. It might so happen that you get a lucrative counter offer from the management and change your decision. In such a situation, you will actually have to tell everyone that you have changed your mind and unnecessarily turn the gossip mills.

Don’t resign without giving prior notice

If you are keen on maintaining a healthy relationship with your boss after leaving the company, it’s best to serve the mandatory notice period. If you resign without giving prior notice, things might get difficult for your employer and that will definitely have an impact on your relationship with him/her.

Ask for an appointment

Don’t just walk up to him/her and hand in your resignation. The protocol dictates that an appointment should be sought if an employee is planning to put down his/her papers. It’s also a mark of respect and shows a professional attitude.

Don’t beat around the bush

Get straight to the point when you speak to your employer about your resignation. Don’t try to tell him a long story about your reason for resignation. Keep it logical and concise.

Don’t feel guilty about your decision

It’s very natural to feel guilty especially if you were on very good terms with your employer. However, don’t let your guilt show because that will only make your employer feel suspicious about your reason for resigning from the job thereby eliminating some of the friendliness.

Answer any kind of questions your boss might ask

Be comfortable in answering any questions your boss might have for you. He might be genuinely interested in knowing about your future plans to satisfy his curiosity so answer everything in a composed manner without showing any signs of impatience.

Don’t blame your employer or anyone else for your decision

Some people don’t show it on the surface but they actually blame their employers or colleagues for their resignation. These people might have given you a hard time but they didn't ask you to quit. That is your decision so don’t encourage resentment of any kind to grow inside you because it will reflect in your words and actions.

Talk about the benefits this company has given you

When you speak to your employer about the resignation, mention everything that you have learnt from here. Gratitude reflects the clarity of one’s conscience.

Offer to look for/train your replacement

You can also offer to train your replacement personally. Your employer will understand how much you actually enjoyed working in the organization and it will also help you to strengthen your bond with your employer.

Don’t let your work get affected by your decision

Don’t let your decision affect your work. Don’t start submitting sloppy reports or acting irresponsible just because you are resigning/have resigned. Keep your work up to the mark.

Fulfill all your responsibilities before you leave

Before you leave, make sure you finish all your work, schedule the important meetings (if that’s a part of your job), make all the reports and inform your immediate superior about anything he should know with regard to any pending tasks. Proving your level of commitment and responsibility will help you to make a great impression even as you leave.

Retain a positive professional attitude

When you speak to your immediate superior, say positive things and before you leave, make sure that you let him know that you would like to work with him again. This is nothing but polite professional courtesy and even if you dislike your immediate supervisor, saying this will only act in your favor.

Don’t brag about your new job

If you are resigning after getting another job, don’t brag about it or tell your superiors how great your new job and your new company are. They might take that offensively so refrain from making such statements altogether.

Praise the company to your colleagues before you leave

A grateful employee spreads goodwill for his company even when he leaves it. Before you leave, thank all your colleagues for their contribution in your growth. Say positive things about the company to them in order to motivate them to give it their best shot.

Say goodbye to everyone before you leave

Just because you resigned doesn't mean you pack everything and simply leave on your last day. Your immediate superior and your colleagues deserve the final goodbye. It’s important to make a graceful and acknowledged exit if you want to leave on diplomatic terms.

It’s quite natural to feel giddy around someone you like because of the propensity for emotions his presence creates. However, you also need to know that he is just another guy and if you ever want to get closer to him, you will have to buckle up and get rid of your nervousness. You may find the following list helpful for the same purpose:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Interesting Questions To Ask A Guy, 2. Why He Doesn’t Like You, 3. Signs That Show The Guy Is Not Interested In You and 4. Get A Guy Who Has A Girlfriend.

Understand that both of you are equal in all characteristics

The first thing to remember when dealing with ‘guy jitters’ is that he is just another person so there is no need to act nervous around him. You like him so you consider him as special but there is no logical reason to feel intimidated by him.

Look as amazing as you can

Try to dress as nicely as you can whenever you meet him or you go to a place where he is supposed to be. Wear a nice dress, put a coat of mascara on your eyelashes and apply blush on your cheeks. If you dress attractively around him, you will feel at par with him and thus, you will feel more confident.

Don’t look into his eyes

Usually, things get very confusing when people make eye contact with someone they like or admire. A lot can be read and assumed on the basis of the way a person behaves after his/her eyes meet the eyes of someone they fancy. So, as a precautionary measure, don’t make eye contact with him unless you know you can maintain a calm composure.

Think about what you will talk to him about beforehand

If you know that you will have to make conversation with him at some point of time during the course of the evening or if you are looking forward to talking to him, think about things you can talk to him about. Being prepared can really help you to combat any nervousness.

Get to know about him

It’s easier to start and continue a conversation if you know something about that person. Try to get to know his likes, dislikes, hobbies and interests. Having conversation material ready with you will help you to determine what you can talk to him about. If you get to know more about him, it might help you to relate to him thereby giving your confidence level the much required boost.

Don’t fake it

Whatever you do, don’t pretend to be someone you are not. If you try to act all cool to get his attention, you will have to pretend to be that person whenever he is around. Since that is not a part of your intrinsic nature, you will feel even more nervous because you will have to think about new lies to support your fake personality.

Stop expecting too much too soon

Many of us get nervous thinking about what’s going to happen next after the initial conversation. However, such thoughts are a waste of time and energy because nothing happens in one night. So, stop worrying yourself by thinking about your next step and adding more jitters to your existing nervousness.

Give yourself some pep talk

Give yourself a positive pep talk whenever you feel nervous in his presence. Tell yourself that you are an amazing girl, he is just another boy, he will reciprocate your feelings and there is no reason for you to feel nervous around him. A pep talk can do wonders for your self esteem and your confidence level so just say positive things.

Have faith in yourself

The sole reason why people tend to feel nervous around someone they like is because they feel under confident and lose faith in themselves. They start seeing the other person as important but in the process, they end up forgetting their own worth. You know that you have enough qualities in you to attract the best of guys so don’t let one guy make you feel so nervous.

Show your best attributes

Show yourself off around him. Feel proud to be everything that you are. Once you feel proud of your own achievements and talent, nervousness around him will stop becoming an issue.

Let him be non existent for some time

Learn to ignore his presence. By ignoring his presence for some time, you will not be ignoring him entirely. But, you will save yourself from the unnecessary jitters his presence causes. It will help you to feel more relaxed.

Think about things apart from him

Whenever his thoughts become overwhelming, try to divert your mind by thinking about other things or other people. The more you allow him to occupy your mind when he’s around, the more worked up you’ll get so try to channelize your mind in other directions.

Take a break whenever you feel overwhelmed with nervousness

Whenever the nervousness gets too much for you, take leave of him for a couple of minutes and go to a comparatively secluded spot so as to get some time alone. Take a few deep breaths and calm yourself before you go and talk to him again.

Have your friends with you

Friends can be a huge source of support and strength when dealing with any guy related jitters. Friends provide a lot of encouragement and moral support. In addition to that, having your friends around can boost your confidence level because the nervousness is primarily psychological and having friends close-by creates a reassuring feeling.

Talk to him

If none of the other ideas have worked for you, the only way to get rid of the nervousness is by facing the guy himself. Talk to him and establish a friendship with him. You will find your nervousness slowly melting away as you get to know him better.

We all want to make our partners feel loved and taken care of but that’s easier said than done. In reality, a lot of effort goes behind developing such a realization so be ready for your share of hard work. Here are a few things you can do to make your girlfriend feel loved:

Similar posts that you may also like: 1. Sweet Things To Say To Your Girlfriend, 2. Best Compliments to Give Women, 3. Creative Ways To Ask A Girl Out and 4. Things To Do With Your Girlfriend.

Tell her she’s pretty instead of sexy

Guys usually prefer calling their girlfriends sexy but deep down, what a girl really wants to hear from her boyfriend is that she’s cute and pretty. Calling her pretty will help her to realize that you love her on a deeper level. ‘Sexy’ just has a lot of physicality associated with it.

Smile whenever you look at her

Girls love it when their boyfriends smile and talk. They look like they are completely and madly in love with their girlfriends so if you want your girlfriend to feel loved, this is what you have to do. Whenever you speak to her, have a huge smile on your face. Let her know how happy she makes you.

Surprise her once in a while

Who doesn't like surprises? Everyone does. So, make sure you surprise her with your gestures every now and then. Plan a special date for her and do things to make her feel like she owns the world. Treat her like a princess on your date. Nothing can make a girl feel more loved than a boyfriend who goes the extra mile to make her feel good.

Take active interest in her hobbies

Show some interest in the things she likes, even if you aren't fond of them yourself. Go out of your way because you will have to make some extra effort if you want her to feel loved. Girls love doing things with their boyfriends so try to be a part of her life in your own way.

Compliment her every now and then

A girl loves to be complimented at every step but that doesn't mean you should keep complimenting her all the time. All I mean to say is that tell her she looks pretty but when you say it, mean it. Say something nice about her at least twice a day.

Send her romantic self-written poems

Even though we have transcended into the age of emails, the usual snail mail has it’s own charm and glory. Write a love poem to her and have it delivered to her address with a bunch of her favorite flowers. That is definitely going to make her feel loved. Girls basically look for the amount of effort a guy is willing to make more than the outcome itself so keep this in mind.

Tell her that you love her

Three simple words can make an insane amount of difference to a girl. Tell her how much you love her. Don’t over do it though but what can be a better way to make your girlfriend feel loved than telling her so yourself?

Try to keep her happy all the time

Try to do as many things as you can to make her happy. If she wants to see a movie, take her to the multiplex. If she wants to eat at a certain place, surprise her by taking her there. There isn't a lot that is required to keep a girl happy. All she looks for are gestures and since you know that now, put this knowledge to some good use!

Give her a lot of presents

Every girl has a huge list of things that she really really wants. So, if your girlfriend happens to casually mention that she wants to buy a particular thing, buy it for her. Give her small gifts randomly to let her know how much you love her. Include stuffed animals and flowers in your list of presents.

Be patient and don’t get angry at her

The way you behave with her is very important. Control your temper around your girlfriend and learn the art of being patient. Don’t shout at her if something goes wrong because that will only scare her away. Be calm, patient and understanding when you deal with her.

Shower her with attention

Every girl wants to be the most important person for her boyfriend so give your girlfriend as much attention as she wants and never give another girl more attention when she’s around. Be careful about this or you might end up in trouble.

Let her know that you think about her

If you want her to feel loved, you have to tell her how much you think of her and miss her all the time. Girls love it when a guy tries to share his sentiments so try to be proactive in sharing yours.

Listen to her when she speaks

Girls usually have a lot to talk about so be a good listener and give appropriate responses when your girlfriend talks to you about something. Girls have an ability to figure out when someone pretends to listen to them so be careful.

Take her out on fun dates

Dates can be the best way to make your girlfriend feel loved. Whenever you take her out on a date, plan it really well and make sure you include romantic things in it like lazy boat rides, candle light dinners or dancing.

Be loyal to her

Nothing can express love like loyalty and loyalty doesn't really need any explanation. Be faithful to her and don’t break her trust. She will definitely understand how much you love her.

Being proposed to by the man of your dreams is every girl’s wish come true. When people look back at their love stories, they always think of it as a turning point in their life. It’s not easy to find love. But when one finds it, it’s always best to hold onto it.

When couples in love talk about how and why they got married, they often blush as they speak about the proposal. This is purely because the proposal is the one point wherein the world stops if only for an instant.

The most common way to propose is going down on bended knee and holding out a diamond ring, whilst asking your guy / girl to marry you. Gone are the times when only guys were expected to pop the question. In today’s modern era even girls can proceed to propose to their guys. Here are some exciting and romantic ways to propose to someone you like:

Similar posts that you might also like: 1. Creative Ways To Ask A Girl Out, 2. How Do You Know If You Are In Love, 3. How to Write a Love Letter and 4. Questions to Ask On a First Date.

The traditional way

The traditional way to propose has always been over a dinner, some wine or champagne and a ring. And this procedure has always been considered romantic because guys choose the ideal set up for it, they hire personal musicians, ask the question during the course of the conversation or sometimes even slip the ring into their partner’s food or drink so when they find it, they know what’s happening. If you aren't creative and don’t like to be too adventurous then this could probably be the best way to propose.

On a gas balloon

Anyone would enjoy a gas balloon ride over the country side. It’s slow and the balloon doesn't fly too high up in the sky thus enabling you to see the ground below clearly. If you hire a balloon during dusk and include a bottle of champagne, some red roses and the ring, it will lighten the mood and heighten the romantic quotient. Ask your partner the question of the day when you passing through a location where you had your first date, where you first met etc to make the moment doubly special.

Atop the Eiffel Tower in Paris

Romantic Paris has been nicknamed thus because it is one of the few places on Earth fit for romantic getaways! It is the city of love and planning a proposal atop this city’s highest and most famed structure would undoubtedly make the proposal a thoroughly romantic one.

During your partner’s birthday party

If you so desire to marry your partner then plan a special birthday party for them and pop the question during one of the key moments of the party – like during the cake cutting session or when they are making a wish. Even better an idea is to hide the ring in the cake so your partner finds it while cutting their cake. Or, you could just draft the icing on the cake to say “Will you marry me?” instead of Happy Birthday!

On Facebook

Many people especially in today’s time of social media and Internet use the online medium to develop their relationships. So it’s always a good idea to explore Facebook as a way to propose to your special someone! All you have to do is post a video wherein you pop the question and tag your special one in it or write on their wall with the question!

While on holiday

Plan a getaway with your beau / girl and during the holiday choose a fancy diner or a quiet restaurant by the beach…Ask the management to play a romantic song and then walk up to your partner and propose when they least expect it, maybe when they are engrossed in the menu or placing an order. Better still, ask the waiter or chef to place the food items ordered in the shape of the question! For instance, if your partner has ordered a steak, the vegetables that go with it could be framed to show the question on top of the steak!

At a new year’s eve party

If you are in a relationship, you’ll probably be spending New Year’s Eve together. So during the party, at that specific moment when the clock hits 12:00 and you are supposed to kiss your partner, pop the question instead. The sudden question amidst the New Year’s joy will sweep them off their feet for sure.

Dedicate a proposal song on the radio

If your partner tunes into the radio often then plan a song dedication, maybe you can have a tie up with the radio network to play a song that you wrote. Pop the question during the song or at the end of it saying clearly WHO the song and question are meant for…if your partner is tuned in at that very moment they will be flattered for sure and will deem the entire episode as thoroughly romantic.

Use a speech from your partner’s favorite movie scene

Your partner is bound to have a favorite movie and a favorite proposal scene. Enact the same scene one day either at your house or theirs…your partner is sure to love you for the effort and will most certainly find it very romantic a gesture on your part.
