This is one of the most debated items in many boards. But my 2c - to have fast turnarounds ORM is a must.
or

I think that it depends on the kind of task that you are going to solve.
Hibernate uses JDBC for executing queries.

Hibernate is really good if you have real-world entities that are represented in db as tables. You can manipulate by these entities, add/delete etc....Also it makes sense to use it in the big project to improve reusability, scalability and speed of development.

But you can get into trouble when you need to create some big complicated, aggregated report or you have non-standard queries that requires a lot of inner selects, joins that requires data from different tables. Usually such types of queries have performance constraints.
For this case you need to user JDBC or IBatis to have flexibility of buidling sql query.

CDAC questions and CDAC module paper ,cdac Original java slides

cdac original java presentation and other things
I am tired writing post so many, this time will discuss CDAC DESD COURSE 2010 Batch and coming bacthes CDAC 2011
CDAC DESD course mainly for embedded course or embedded system course or vlsi course.
Its actually a training course similar to Vector Hyderabad embedded course but it's much better than Vector ..
DESD-diploma in Embedded ....rest i forgot..:)
DESD course entrance exam conducted by Hyderabad but again its exam is in CDAC NOIDA,Hyderabad ,pune,bangalore....
DESD is mainly for electronics and electrical and mainly it has c and datastructure in its content.
i dont know exactly how many modules are there but around 7 it has.cdac desd
pune is best for cdac desd hyderabad centre den bangalore...
and den rest.....cdac noida and cdac mohali.
There is easy way to clear cdac entrance paper try sending form with your friends same time all so you will sit near to your friends and i think there is only 1 set of question paper cdac gives for entrance

CDAC DAC course Placement Hyderabad ,Best course in CDAC ,Difference in Various Courses 2009 and 2010 Batch,Ranking of courses

Hi this post is after 6 months to the last post as i changed job ..
CDAC course-centre for Development of Advance Computing
HERE I AMGOING ONLY TO TELL ABOUT CDAC DAC COURSE
If you guys are planning to fill the forms for CDAC than just check all details on www.cdac.in so there are many courses CDAC DESD conducted by Hyderabad but got centres in Pune,Hyderabad,Bangalore,Mohali i think not sure etc -
and like cdac pune conducts a course DAC but that doesn't mean that the test will be only in pune its everywhere Noida CDAC ,Pune CDAC,Hyderabad..,Bangalore..,Chandigarh..etc but if you qualified than you will be joining according to your rank either in Pune ,Bangalore and other centre which will be in the list.In 2009 Hyderabad centre had removed DAC course and the students selected are sent to PUNE this is exceptional case and i was also in Hyderabad that time cdac keeps on adding new centre for the same course and so i don't know exactly how many centres right now have DAC course.
Let me give you some rank detail for the courses and who should go for which course
CDAC DAC course -mainly for CS and IT (If you from electronics or electrical etc don't go )
CDAC DAC course consist mainly C language, data structure den Java,.net, and many things, they have each week module test these all will be modules guess in CDAC DAC Pune course its around 13 modules but don't worry module test has objective and subjective questions and answeres and just do team work you can easily clear.
Cdac 2010 dac course or entrance exam happens 2 times in a year 1 near about January and other August (Please keep on looking for cdac exam from January if you are in final year).
1 more condition is if you have bec in last semester you can join cdac 2010 but may be if you cant clear till end of cdac you cant sit for companies and also if you have less than 60% in BTech than you cant sit for many companies but you get placed from outside if you really worked hard in CDAC .
Only join cdac if you can live sleeping 4 hrs or either you got fine knowledge in Btech
Now as per ranking DAC course Pune is best than CDAC Bangalore
2009 has a good batch from mostly got placed from Pune as well as Bangalore and CDAC 2010 dac will be much better as market improved lot.
PLease check all my post and links as i put all information about embedded, vlsi course and DABC coursecheck all links on blog left and down .

part2-servlet assignment and questions

1.) Write an application with 2 Servlet Classes. In one Servlet, get request information from the user and set the collected value as attribute at request and application scopes. Display both attribute values on request of both the Servlets and show the difference between attributes at both levels(scope).
2.) Write a Servlet class, implementing SingleThreadModel and explain the performance degradation occurring with that kind of implementation.
3.) Write a Servlet Class and create new session using the HttpSession object. Display session information to the user, including Session ID, Session creation time and Last Accessed time.
4.) Write an application with a login page,
a. Login Page requires Username and Password for Authentication (matching username and password, already present in DB) and sends request for Home Page.
b. On Authentication, User must be shown the Home Page (servlet) and Session must be created and maintained otherwise show appropriate error message.
c. On the Home Page display 2 links to other Servlets. Similarly other pages must have a link to Home Page.
d. Logout link must be there on all the servlets. User must be given access to all the pages with link to each other, as long as the session is valid. On click of Logout session must be invalidated. If session is destroyed user must be sent to Login Page Again.
5.) In addition to the above question,
a. Use DD configuration to set session time-out value and show how session expires after the specified time.
b. Use setMaxInactiveInterval method to set and overwrite the DD settings and verify the result.
6.) Use getSession(true) method in the above example and check for the condition when the old session is destroyed and new one is created, invalidate the session explicitly by calling invalidate method.
7.) Block (disable) the cookies in the client’s Browser and run the above program.
8.) Use the URL-Rewriting as fall-back mechanism in case the cookies are disabled by the browser with Question (5).
9.) Use Cookie Class object to store username at the Client machine sent by the user in question (5). Display the username retrieved on every page from the cookie object.
10.) Use ServletRequestListener on Home Page (servlet) to create DB connection object to be used for authentication in question(5).Use the HttpSessionEvent to destroy the DB connection object on creation of session in the question (5) .
11.) Write an application with 3 Servlets, 1 Database connection class and a ServletContextListener. Create one Database connection object, before request comes to any one of the 3 Servlet Classes. Use the connection object created, in all the 3 Servlets. 1st Servlet will handle request for emp table, 2nd for dept table and 3rd for salgrade table. Take input from the user in form of drop down menu. Display result in tabular format. Also provide synchronization to the shared database connection object.

part-1 servlet assignment question and solutions

cdac assignment dabc,desd,dac
