When she finishes with them, she presents the whole package. I have always been an artistic person for as long as I can remember, taking art classes throughout my pre-teen and teen years. I knew my career of choice would be in art but what form it would take, I did not know. After graduation in 1993, I decided in 1995 to attend Cosmetology school, in Lyndhurst, Ohio, to obtain my managing Esthetician license (skincare specialist).

My first makeup event was in 1996. I was so excited to be the lead makeup artist for Jazzy Cuts, a Beauty Salon, participating in a hair show, Genesis, The Evolution of Hair. I had five girls to prep. Everything went well and from that point on, I was hooked on makeup artistry. I continued freelancing all over northeast Ohio, doing weddings, proms, and working with a finishing school applying makeup for photo shoots. Through networking, I became friends with a local clothing designer and assisted with local fashion show productions, such as makeup, styling, coordinating, etc. Those experiences inspired me to channel my energy into event planning and to come out with my own line of cosmetics, in 2000, Blanco Cosmetics. Blanco (my name in Spanish) Cosmetics is infused with vitamins and minerals; with lipsticks enriched with antioxidants; blushes infused with vitamin E, which is known for its soothing and healing effects; and foundations with SPF 18 and aloe vera. The entire line was created to improve the condition of your skin.

As I perfected my skills in makeup artistry, I also worked on developing my career in fashion and event planning. Though currently taking a break, my plan is to return to school in order to obtain my certification in event planning in 2010. “What Women Want”, a beauty and health expo and “Style and Glamour Pamperfest are two beauty conventions that I’ve created, coordinated and held twice a year. These events are made up of over 20 vendors from different genres of the fashion and beauty industry. What makes these beauty conventions so different? I personally interview every vendor for professionalism and quality of product. No two vendors are ever alike. I also in the past have partnered with The Cleveland Clinic and other health care providers to administer free health screenings to the public. I know the expo titles are geared more towards women but men are always encouraged to come. While waiting for their significant other, they can receive a massage, a free health screening, and/or take pleasure in selecting a gift for that special someone. For these two events, my goal is to help women and men understand the importance of taking care of themselves from the inside out.

My knowledge and experience as a beauty professional continues to evolve. On this never-ending journey, I’ve learned about good eating and exercising habits, which I am eager to pass along as a beachbody coach and image consultant.

In 2000 I landed a job as a Sales Associate, soon after promoted to manager, at an upscale boutique called Sweet Threads, known for its great selection of formalwear dresses. It was a great experience! I learned how to run a boutique/business from the ground up. I was able to assist with buying, selecting new vendors, pricing merchandise, helping in the development of a new website, planning events, trunk shows, fashion shows, news ads, etc. This work experience, in part, inspired me to create “The Tricks of the Trade”, which is an opportunity to provide coaching and fashion tips to young, ages 11 through 14, underprivileged women. One young lady a year is selected. She must be transitioning into Junior/Middle School or High School. We go through her closet to find the keepers and donate anything that no longer fits or doesn’t fit well. Then we go school clothing shopping. To complete the makeover, her makeup is professionally applied, along with instructions on how to maintain the look and her hair is styled by a local hair salon artist. Year after year, seeing the smile on their faces is simply priceless. To date we’ve been able to help 3 young women. Because I’ve been helped and mentored by so many people, this program is my way of giving back and saying thank you. It reminds me of the quote “I am because we are.”

In between my three greatest passions - makeup artistry, fashion and image consulting - I found time to get married to Ian C. Cunningham and have two children. My first Reina Nole was born on January 27, 2005 and my second Braeden Christopher was born on May 13, 2007 (Mother’s Day).

I am a woman who wears many hats. I’m now in the process of developing plans to open my own boutique which will infuse all of my passions. Makeup artistry/Blanco Cosmetics, Fashion and Image Consulting is what I love and how I plan to beautify the world one person at a time.

I started DivaGlam Cosmetics in June of 2004. I wanted to give women an opportunity to look and feel their best. I had tried several direct sales companies and had done very well in each company, but my focus was on the women and not on the bottom line of how much I made for the company. I have always believed that if you do what God gave you talent to do the money is a by product of doing what he gifted you to do.

I went to cosmetology school and when I finished I realized that I enjoyed makeup and skincare more than I did hair so I got jobs representing several makeup companies in major department stores such as Nordstroms, Macys etc. What that experience taught me was how to mix and match colors for my clients, since at that time makeup for the color of women was not popular and no one really had the right colors for us.

I decided to do some research and found a company that had the colors and skincare products I liked and also a company that would work with me to develop colors and products for the skin that I wanted to develop.

From this was born DivaGlam Cosmetics, currently we are in several malls and offer our products on line at the website.

This year, I have decided to take DivaGlam in a new direction, by opening it up to women who want to learn how to earn money with our company and how to enhance their own beauty. So from that I have developed a training program to train Diva Artists who will be able to go out in their own homes and community and make money on their own.

Born to a teen mom and labeled as a project kid. Tiffany Braxton has made some big strides, but if you ask me I am still trying to make it. Graduating high school and starting college at 16-years-old I didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up. After attending college part-time for four years I decided to leave school and work for a Fortune 500 telecommunications company where I have been employed for the past eleven years. Making that decision put me in a position to return to school after experiencing corporate America with a better focus and goals. I'm currently studying for my B.S. in Business Management and anticipate graduating in spring 2008.

Approximately five years ago I started an event coordinating business. Unable to afford the cost to rent venues I along with two friends and a DJ began having parties at my house that accommodated up to fifty people at times for barbecues, birthday parties, New Year's Eve parties, and what has now become an annual event for the past five years our Super Sunday Superbowl. My guests would always leave saying that it was the best house party they'd ever been to. Another thing they would say is you need to get paid for what you do, but to me it was more important being the best host than the amount of money I could make. So here Party Sophisticate's was born. The focus of Party Sophisticate's is planning the most elegant and sophisticated events on realistic budgets. Coordinating my own wedding consisted of silk bouquets, freelancers, and an eighty-seven dollar wedding dress (retailed at $600 in a well-known bridal store) custom made and shipped from China. I am currently working on a book project "A Platinum Wedding. On My Shoestring Budget?" My motto is "Give me a budget I'll make it happen."

When I am not doing schoolwork, coordinating events, or spending quality time with my husband and three stepchildren you can find me on the runway as Plus Model Braxton. After being cast for a reality show that never materialized I was urged to consider plus modeling. Once told I would never be a model because I was too big, at a size 12, I am living a dream that I've had ever since I could remember. Now a size 18+ I have been featured in multiple online publications, I am a signature model for a denim company and an online magazine http://www.belle-noir.com/, placed as a semi-finalist in multiple model search competitions, will compete for "Miss NYC Plus Model in 2008" www.missnycplus.com , and am now officially a cover girl www.morebeautifulwoman.com. I was born in South America, where I spent all of my grade and high school years. I moved to NY to pursue a college education, which I did start and completed after I moved to FL. Since I was a little girl, I recalled my mother always mixing up stuff for my hair and skin; but that was normal to me. I never thought it was anything extraordinary. During my years in high school I enjoyed doing hair and for many years I would do my friends and family's hair, but never did pursue it as a career. About two years ago after returning to South America, I brought back some oils that my mom used and I found myself mixing products for my hair and skin, just like my mom did.

For the few years I've been experiencing some issues with my scalp and my skin and after trying every lotion, shampoo & conditioner out there, I saw no improvement. After starting a blog and forum, I realized that there are many other women out there with similar and other issues. After much research, I realized that the products on store shelves are filled with toxicants and carcinogenic ingredients and this is possibly what's causing all of these issues. I was inspired to develop a natural and organic line to give other women out there a much better solution. My plan is to launch that line during the fall of 2009.
