Time for another Manicure Monday! I haven't painted my nails for awhile, sadly. I always plan too then something else gets in the way! I know it's Spring and all but I just spent this past weekend in Nashville and it was cold and rainy pretty much the whole time we were there so I decided to try out my charcoal nail polish. I've had it for about 2 months now and haven't even used it yet! I have to say I wish I wouldn't have waited so long because I love it! It's edgy but sophisticated as well.

I wore this outfit to church just this past Sunday. It was cool but I didn't need a jacket. My church is pretty laid back when it comes to attire. You can wear whatever you want, casual to dressy. Which I like because depending on my mood and how much time or effort I want to put into getting ready determines how I dress! I was kind of in the middle this time, not too casual or too dressy. I was quite comfortable in this and still look put together. This outfit not counting the purse comes in at under $35. Wowza! I think I'm a pretty good bargain shopper. Ladies, you don't have to have lots of money to look good!

Hey Y'all! I know its been about a month since I last posted. I haven't taken many pictures of my outfits lately. I have plenty of my friends & I but none of just me so I haven't been able to post! However I did take some pictures this past weekend. Here's another outfit with my salmon jeans. I was worried I wouldn't wear them much but I only paid about $16 for them and have already worn them twice in the month that I've had them so I think I already got my moneys worth out of them! I hope to be able to come up with more ways to wear them because I think they're fun! I also decided to get some hair extensions. I have been trying to grow my hair out but my hair grows so slow, its ridiculous. The kind I bought is one large piece so it adds lots of body & volume which I need and I've never gotten so many compliments on my hair before! I just wish it was actually my real hair! But people I don't know can't tell it's fake so I'm keeping them!

Mint With Polka Dots

I know mint has been having a moment for a little while now but can I just tell y'all I'm obsessed. From clothes to nail polish to accessories, I'm a sucker for it! I was in Kohl's a few weeks ago and as soon as I saw this top I knew it was going to be mine. It was also in white with black polka dots but I bought the mint. If you know me then that is actually a shocker because I live in black and white mostly! I wore this to dinner and then we ended up going bowling. I hadn't been in almost a year so it was lots of fun and quite entertaining! I only got one picture where I'm actually wearing this outfit but I loved it so I laid it out on my (unmade) bed, sorry bout that!

Manicure Monday

I actually remembered to post about Manicure Monday! Woo, go me! I had gotten these really cute black/silver textured with rhinestones nail stickers that I tried to do. They were a cheaper brand than the Sally Hansen ones and you could definitely tell. I was bummed because they looked like they would have been so cute but they wouldn't hold to my nail shape at all! So I had to rummage through my bag of nail polish (I have over 100!!!). So many options to choose from but I decided on doing something neutral so I can go a little longer even if it chips because it won't be as obvious. So here's what I ended up with, express dry- perfect because I'm ready for bed!

Easter 2013

Happy Easter everyone! I have had such a good weekend and then Easter Sunday was perfect to top it off! I have two outfits to post today! First my church outfit then what I wore to lunch and shopping at IKEA. I knew I wanted a lace dress for Easter and had been looking for a couple weeks and finally found one just on Thursday! I'm obsessed and can't wait to wear it again. Emerald is a big color for 2013 and as soon as I saw it hanging on the rack I knew I was going to be trying it on! I was sold. The color is gorgeous and the style is very classic and girly, perfect!

Manicure Monday...

So I know it's Tuesday and all but I did this yesterday! Therefore I'm calling it manicure Monday and plan on doing a new one every week! I'll try to actually post it on Mondays though! Something new to try and why not since I'm constantly painting my nails anyways! :) The pink color is NYC "MoMa" and I forget the name of the Pure Ice one. It has a black base with pink, red, purple and blue sparkles in it. Gorgeous!

NASHVILLE

I've been away from this for too long. I told myself I'd be better and have been failing miserably. However part of that is my last minute trip to Nashville, Tennessee last week. A good friend of mine lives there as well as some of my family and she had signed up to be an extra on the TV show NASHVILLE. I was lucky enough to get to tag along! It was a long 12 hour day of filming but it was such a cool experience! I also got to spend time with my family and sisters while I was in Nashville. I can't wait to go back down, I would love to live there again but at the current moment it's just not in the cards for me. Maybe someday though! I haven't done anything this week that required me to put together an outfit so I have no posts for that. However, I have a very fun weekend planned and WILL take pictures! I have to tell myself that so I follow through. I hate when I wear cute outfits then don't take pictures to post. Here's just a couple pictures from my visit though!

I'm finally posting my final outfit from my Texas trip! I absolutely love lace and when I saw this dress on the $10 rack at Charlotte Russe... it was mine! I love it and can't wait to wear it again! On this night we went out to Tony Parker's Nueve Lounge in San Antonio. We celebrated my birthday and some of our friends have birthdays around mine so there were 4 of us with birthday very close. We got a VIP table so we had our own area to hang out. We had a blast just hanging out and dancing!

Navy and pink is one of my favorite color combinations. I was going to dinner at a Chinese buffet and grocery shopping after with my mom so I wanted something comfortable. Always eat way to much at buffets so I chose a pair of jeans that are lose fitting around the waist on me so I wouldn't be squishing into them after dinner. Also, knowing we were going to be going grocery shopping after stuffing my face, walking around I knew I needed comfortable shoes. These cute little tennies were just right and complimented my boyfriend-ish look!

I wore this outfit yesterday! I had an appointment with my nurse educator and nutritionist. It was snowy and cold so I was quite cozy in this. I love black and white anything and red is probably my favorite color right up there with pink! I just snapped a few pictures before I went out the door and planned on taking more later, but my mamma came home from Tennessee and we went to dinner and I put my pj's on right when I got home! I sat in front of the fireplace and painted my nails while catching up on American Idol, DVR is such a beautiful thing! I have still not posted all my outfits from my Texas visit. I wore this outfit yesterday to church, out to lunch and out to my step-sister's house. It's been so gloomy here with all the snow. It's not much snow so you can still see the grass through it, and the mud, yuck! I'm now ready for Spring! We've had snow enough this winter to last me until next! I love colored jeans and happy they've hung around as long as they have! It's fun to wear such bold colors during the winter but anything to get you out of your winter blues, go for it!

I've had such a good weekend! Started early on Thursday and finished tonight. I am in much need of sleep and thankful I can sleep in tomorrow! Thankful for the friends in my life, no matter the distance or the time apart I know I can always count on them. That is such a wonderful feeling to have good people in your life. This outfit was from a little bit ago and it never got posted! I was looking through my pictures on my computer and came across it! So I thought I'd share because I just love this scarf! I mean how cute is it?! It's not really an infinity scarf but I made it look like one! It is just a regular scarf with no fringe so I just tied the ends together and wrapped it around! I love wearing scarves in different way to change it up. Very easy but can make a big difference in your final look! And it's the weekend! Woo hoo! I actually went to dinner with two of my girlfriends tonight so I got started a day early but have so many fun things planned. 25th Birthday

Twenty-five??? How am I a quarter of a century already? Time sure has flown by and it's not looking to slow down anytime soon. I spent my 25th birthday visiting in Texas. Strange to say "visiting" but that's what I was doing. I went down for a week, haven't been there since beginning of November! I've been in Ohio visiting and trying to get my diabetes under control before I can make any other decisions of where I'm going to be. Kind of in limbo right now, but that's life. Always has to through something at ya! But, here is my outfit that I wore to dinner on my birthday! We ate at the same restaurant for my birthday last year. I loved it and wanted to go back! It's called Chama Gaúcha Brazilian Steakhouse. I have been waiting to wear this skirt and had just got this top and thought they would look pretty cute together and I was right! I love when an outfit I put together in my head actually turns out cute when I really put it on.

Why yes!!! When it's almost 80 degrees in Texas, anything goes! It was so nice during my visit to Texas and since it's been so cold in Ohio I just had to wear a pretty dress with some boots! I have worn this dress several times, but I change it up every time to make it feel new. This outfit was the last time I will be wearing these boots, which makes me very sad. :( The material started peeling and after this time, I just couldn't get myself to wear them again so I got rid of them. Boo! I had them for about 5 years though so they've been through a lot. I got them on sale at Wet Seal so I definitely got my moneys worth! Anyways, I wore this outfit out birthday shopping and to dinner: ULTA & Olive Garden, perfect<3

I have been wanting this pallet for forever! So happy to finally get it. This was a birthday present from Mark! I absolutely fell in love with this eye shadow the first time I used it. I couldn't believe how pigmented they all were! I very highly recommend the NAKED pallet. You won't be disappointed, totally worth the money!

On Saturday, I went out to eat with my parents, grandparents and one of my aunts to celebrate my 25th birthday with them! We ate at Chili's... I normally love that place but this time was not such a good experience. I mean it happens, I've worked in food so I know sometimes they have an off night but it was nice just being with my family anyways. Hello all! I'm back in Ohio after being in Texas a week. Had gorgeous 70 degree weather while I was there and then I come back to freezing, snowy weather. To be honest it really bummed me out! However I wore some brightly colored things while I was down there that helped get me out of my winter blues! Here's one that I wore when we were out and about. Went to a few stores and to dinner! I had just gotten this sparkly tank an had no idea it would really bring out the blues when I wore it with my turquoise jeans! I can't wait to pair this tank with other items too, and the best part is, I got it for a steal!

Mini Vacay...

So I'm making a last minute trip to Texas for a week. So I won't be posting anything until I get back. I'm very excited to get to see my friends that I considered my Texas family! Looking forward to a break and some warmer weather! Also looking forward to the sunsets... let me tell you, the Texas sky is by far the prettiest sky I've ever seen. Like jaw-dropping gorgeous! I probably took a picture everyday of the sky at some point during the day! I'm hoping to get a few outfit shots while I'm gone so I can blog when I get home. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Fun Nails= Better Mood

I love to have my nails painted! Whether if I do it or have a salon do it! It's one of those small things that just makes me happy! During the winter when it's pretty gloomy it's nice to have something bright and fun to look at. I've said this before and I'll say it again: Nails are one of the biggest accessories right now! They truly are. It's something small enough but can really make a statement without over doing it. There's all kinds of trends that you might be afraid to try so start small and do a funky manicure. It's bold and fun to try! I saw a lot of my friends posting a cute little picture on Pinterest and it made me come up with a design of my own! Here's what I came up with and I absolutely love it!

On Friday night I had dinner with an old friend. We always stay in touch through Facebook but finally got to hang out! We ate dinner at our favorite place, Sake! It's a hibachi grill that is seriously amazing! I could eat it just about everyday I think. After dinner we came back to my house and talked and caught up, then one of our other friends came and picked us up and we went to our local bar to watch karaoke! None of us sing but it's always fun to watch.

Last Weekend of 2012!!!!

I haven't been a very good blogger lately! Eeek! I have been so busy with appointments, the holidays and back and forth between Ohio and Tennessee! I told myself I'm going to be better at this is 2013! I'm going to post quite a few pictures in this post to get them on here. I wore the same scarf and jacket every night pretty much so I'm bummed I don't have just my actual outfits in some of these, but oh well! After Christmas I went back to Nashville to spend New Years Eve there with my sister! That weekend was so much fun! We were out way too late every night but had a blast so I wouldn't trade it for anything! Friday night, we went over to our Dad's house for pizza and a Dexter marathon! He had all the episodes recorded so we could catch up! We stayed up until 2:30 am watching them!! Then Saturday, our aunt made us a yummy breakfast, helped my sister clean a bit and then that night we went shopping, ate dinner at the Opryland Hotel's Old Hickory Steakhouse and walked around to see all the lights. After we left there, my sister and I headed downtown and went to The Big Bang, piano bar. It was so cool! I loved it! Sunday was a day for sleeping in, brunch at Cracker Barrel with our Aunt Christie, and then that night I met up with one of my girlfriends from high school that now lives in Nashville. We went bar hopping and had a blast! Monday was NYE! We actually went downtown to the Hard Rock (had to pay to go there because of the awesome location) to watch the concerts and watch the music note drop! It was freezing and it poured down rain but was still totally worth it to be down there! Afterwards we bar hopped to a few places before heading home! I came back up to Ohio on New Years Day, and had a sleep over at my best friends that night so we could catch up on each others weekends! Hope everyone had a fabulous time and hope 2013 brings you all happiness and good things!

Church Christmas Cantata

Tonight was my church's Christmas Cantata. I wanted to wear something with a little sparkle and luckily I had this cardigan that had just enough! I literally had 20 minutes to find something to wear and I'm actually happy with this outfit. I got these textured tights last year and happy they are still in good condition that I can still wear them! And they match the color of my boots perfectly which is awesome!
