This Easter weekend, we take a look at the titles of Jesus. This Good Friday we look at the title: The Lamb of God.

Jesus is drawing all things to Himself, and in doing so, He will roll heaven and earth up like a scroll (Revelation 21–22). His people will be with Him, able to drink from His river of life forevermore without payment, and they will be His people, and He will be their God.

There is an abundance that God pours into our lives through Jesus. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” (Ephesians 1:3). But this doesn’t mean that we get the fanciest car, the nicest house, or the best holiday. Rather, we are given every spiritual blessing in Jesus. He can bless us financially, but even more so, spiritually!

Not everything that is wrong is everything. What shifts through faithfulness? Self control is not optional.

This river flows and gives life, and it isn’t meant to stay stagnant, it is meant to flow into the “Dead Sea” so that “Everything will live where the river goes.” -Ezekiel 47:9

Our lives look different when they are fully submerged in the river. It’s allowing the Holy Spirit to work in and through us in our daily lives as we walk in step with Him.

God’s promise is to always be with us.

God is inviting us to go deeper in Him, to take risks in Him, to not only be ankle-deep in the “river of God,” but to dive in. This applies to our whole lives: how much of our lives are we surrendering to Jesus? How much of our lives are we truly giving over to Him?

Jesus is the only one who can truly satisfy us, and he invites us to come and drink from the Living water that He provides.

This week we hear about the importance of our identity in Christ, how God calls us to be a responsible people, or good stewards with what he has given us, and how we need to always be obedient to what God asks of us.

We need to press into Jesus, apart from Him there is no life. Jesus is the river of life.
