You will be really happy with the results! There is nothing more frustrating than landing a bag 6" in front of the hole and having it bounce over and off the back of the board

Thanks Milky! It's really strange, but I've actually found that the full wraps really don't leave many air bubbles at all. Out of the 3 that I've done so far, they have all been 99% bubble free. When I apply them, I use a wallpaper smoother from Sherwin Williams that is wider & firm than the regular vinyl smoother I use. I get them lined up, then use the hinge method in the middle of the wrap. Then I peel the backing off on 1 end, & use a utility knife to cut the backing off. Then I get the wrap inline & gently lay it on the board, & smooth down the middle. Then I start on 1 side & do a rainbow pattern from the middle out to the edges working my way to the end of the board. Then I do the same on the other side. After that I repeat those steps on the other half of the wrap. By gently laying it on the board, it allows for most of the air bubbles to be worked out to the edges. I do as much smoothing with the application tape on, & then use a piece of backing to go over it again after the application tape is peeled off. I do that to avoid scratching the wrap with the smoother. So far, very few air bubbles applying them that way. The part I'm still trying to get good at is trimming the edges & the hole.

I just bought a Graco 3900 on Ebay and as far as I'm concerned, its paid for itself in one set of boards. . finish is amazing

Disregard my questions above. I was reading through the cornhole wiki and found this quote by milky

"--Third, use the doors and cabinets foam rollers for the paint on all surfaces of your boards. They just flat out give you the smoothest finish available."

These sets look pretty similar except one has a black border and the other has a garnet border with black stripe, and the fonts. Background is stained.

Because it goes on smoother, or easier or what? Do you just roll big sections, or do you roll more intricate designs too? Last question, are you just using normal rollers like you find at lowe's? I just built this set with 3/4" oak and used 1x4s for frame and 1x3s for the cross braces. I put the cross braces 16" from each end. I already have these boards sold as a bare set, so I haven't got to play on a finished set built constructed like this but I'm hoping for little to no bounce.
