social creatures virus infected,
by life's anti-virus not always protected.

Bit and bytes CPU overheated,
hard drive is full and RAM is defeated,
the disc drive's spin is almost depleted,
and the social virus cannot be excreted.

Collective, a hive, an Internet Borg,
looking for life on the Planet Zork,
while outside the window it's fleeting and passing,
people around you disconnect without asking.

And the bask of displays our lives pass away,
when you look up and see it's a sunny day,
do shut down and leave and go out there,
or does open spaces give you a scare?

Internet kids and even our parents,
the dumb and the mute, those barely coherent,
find life in the wires and freedom to share,
but in real life you'll bond if you truly care,
for those around you don't just prod and poke,
meet up for real have a drink make a joke.

Detach yourself from your scitzo friend,
the one who with a click can have you pretend,
that the world is right here.
Shut down, do it, don't fear.

Odd Little Forest Creature

hiding in the shrubbery,

I peer into the jungle dark,
see only your white eyes,

are many hateful lies.

Lurking in the shadows,
like all else is scum?

You funny little creature,
your logic is just wrong,
you hate the fuzzy bunny,
but sing the salmon song,
why do you kick the tiger hard,
along the ribs at that?

Cute kids in the meadow and a few lambs too,
love it abounds there's enough for you too.

A ribbon so big and it's red in hair,
and her daddy nearby to protect and to care,
stuff toys and honey and a bowl of jelly,
a fat little kid laughs out loud from his belly.

Pastels in pink and in blue and in green,
love up to here as much as you've seen.
Hugging each other and laughing out loud,
togetherness and close, feeling safe and sound.

Validate and love and blindly share,
with those around you, for those who you care,
go up and hug them, for a squeeze as they say,

Trip to KL

A off to KL I soon will go,
for food, shopping and a jolly good show.
I also need to go to embassy,
to state the fact that I'm a divorcee.

I'm also attending a friend's merry making,
a celebration for husband taking.
She met him on the internet,
and soon they will celebrate getting wed.

There's also a South African restaurant,
with chops and steaks and rice fragrant.
I hope to get a taste of home,
a good beef steak, freshly flown.

A boogie or a bit of dance,
will be exciting if I get the chance.
And we're flying with the success of Malaysia,
we're going there on AirAsia.

Sitting online, blogging, writing, clicking and reading.
I don't get up, just to wee, for walk, or a feeding.
My life moved online, in bytes, in bits.
In the glow of LCD, my life is here, at night, it sits.

But disconnected I am not, so many are connected,
in blogs they're reflected,
their needs, their wants, their who they are,
some are normal, others odd, some strange and bizarre.

Like JJ, and his path, a field guide,
You'll enjoy his opinions and adventures wide,
and fierce,
A softy really, bald head in spite,
I should stop this taunting,
hit me he might.

Then Becky, in her shorts so short,
her blog is full of political retort.
It's fun, and sad,
it looks like the American government is mad,
and she's there, to expose,
what a risk to other's liberty some poeple pose.

Over at Caneeliea, a blogger she is pro,
she worked with me but it was boring,
so home she did go.
To blog, for a living, and money.
"You don't pay me enough", she said, it was funny.
She's doing it for work, says what she wants to say,
when she wants, and for pay.

The only down to blogging is my lack of exercise,
and it's leading to gut so big, physical demise.
Balance is as always, important to this way,
if fit and healthy for blogging, I always want to stay.

TGIF - Not Really

A week quite long has come and gone,
today I feel the end.
Why is the weekend 2 days long,
why can't we just extend?

The week was tough with lots of stuff,
happening all around.
This weekend long I planned to sleep,
disappear and go to ground.

But, clean the house and wash the car,
must go shopping near and far.
Hang my washing pay the bills,
these things are hardly thrills.

So why again did I look forward
to the end of week?
Was it fun or rest or quiet

Monkey on my Back

The monkey on my back, riding, screaming, little shit,
catch me off guard, at home, at work
throws a little fit.

The monkey is with me, riding in my car,
he bothers me from where he is,
even if he's very far.
No matter that he is, now so out of sight,
he throws his peanuts hard,
hard with all his might.

This monkey on my back, annoying little prick,
he holds on tight, refuse to go,
his fleas have made me sick.

The monkey is around, when I sit and stand or walk,
he makes annoying noises, when I try to talk.
He's nowhere to be seen,
in bushes low or trees up high,
but when I try to sleep,
I can always hear him sigh.

This monkey on my back, rubbish little fuck,
just when things go nice,
he acts like a 5 year old schmuck.

Hey monkey what you waiting for,
you know where is the door.
Let go already off my back, why are you craving more?
Surely what you want is gone, you've tried it best you can,

Quietly today, yesterday, and the day before,
not looking in my direction,
not sure what brought this on,
bad body odor, fear of infection?
Did it look like I had an erection?

Choices

If you simplify your life a bit, this truth will come to light,
it boils down to choices, and scare you it just might.
But man or mouse or woman too, your life is in your hand,
and make your choice, or watch your life blow away like sand.

I never liked depression, the point I cannot see,
if I were to kill myself, only mom would cry for me.
Yeah, life is tough, but, did I think, death is so much worse,
can't imagine dying, nor cargo in a hearse.

And life has knocked me plenty, don't think I do not know,
from a dying dad to woman mad, wine bottles she did throw.
I've seen a lot and loved a plenty, heartbreak too was mine,
but just as darkness seems to fall, I chose the light to shine.

I chose to live, I chose to smile, refused much sorrow me,
can't blame others when I fucked up, and everyone could see.
But lessons I did learn: while some were soon forgotten, others sure did stay,
and of those lessons some were free, for others I did pay.

But good or bad or great or sad, I appreciate the lesson,
put down that drink, say no to drugs, throw that Smith&Wesson;
life is here to test you, make you more a (wo)man,
unless you want to die for shit, say "life, yes, I can!"

Now make your choices carefully, for live with it you must,
if you wear what others did, your life will only rust.
Choose to live your life, like today is just the start,
Smile and open up a bit, I promise you, love will find your heart.

Moonshine & Roses

Watching YouTube, so romantic (!?), conversation flows,
one points out the other leans,
and closer both they go.
Electric atmosphere alight with much anticipation,
a brush of knee a touch of wrist,
a little hesitation.

The questions comes and you must ask,
why couldn't we before,
when it's so clear that each of us,
the other do adore.

Complication, baggage and loads of uncertainty,
has made us blind to what we could have,
prevented us to see,
that we should be together, right,
no fear of other's thoughts,
and with all of this in mind, work out it just might.

Now happiness in heart & butterflies in tummy,
sometimes how life works out,
is a little funny.
And so it goes, life takes us there, another chapter's start
and this time what's my strategy?

some emotions,
I'm typing
and I slouch,

I open up a little, let down my guard,
casual conversation, a lunch date
and then she hits me hard
and I ouch!

Have you been better, last night she asked,
I simply talked away,
I bored myself and her it seems,
actors in a tedious play.

My guard was down, a simple chat,
jibes and stabs galore.

I'm sleep deprived again,
shouldn't gone to see that movie,

These a-b-c-a rhymes are killing me,
how to escape the rhythm?

So off I went the cinema,
to watch a movie new,
of fairy tales, and princesses,
a horse or two or so,
and knights a slew.
Fairy dust or sprinkle dust or some or other dust,
go see the movie, critiques said,
go see it, it's a must.

of love and quests and such,
adventure sure and sunshine too,
and heroes oh so much.

But now I sit here once again,
wide eyes and all are bleary,
tomorrow once again I'll suffer,

I want to throw a fit.
These corny poems are way to easy,
but they read like shit.

Thinking too much has bamboozled me before,
I end up thinking and drinking and falling down,
right at my door.
I'm exaggerating for effect, I've never fallen,
not down, and not at my door.
But I read my own blog, it's dangerous, I know.
I think of all the adventures, where I've been,
where I'll go.
Some make me sad; they're so bad.
But most make me happy, makes me glad.
I don't really drink to get rid of myself,
or others, depression is not for me,
I can't see
the point of moping and moaning,
or groaning;
I get up and do, I go, I see, rather leave myself,
and my problems behind to find other with problems,
of a much greater kind.

But as my bad gets smaller their good gets bigger,

my nagging lack of ability plaguing me,
I read what is out there it seems like a lot,
am I up there, can I do it,
will anyone notice or not?

Sometimes I type and I'm happy with myself,
