Cutey Charm Bracelets and Giveaway!

Hey everyone!

This has nothing to do with makeup but recently I was contacted by a company called Cutey who sells charm bracelets. They are based in the UK and sell worldwide (you can visit them here). I received these yesterday which was really fast shipping considering it came from the UK. My sister is crazy in love with charm bracelets and fell in love with these. They highly resemble the Pandora ones but at a more affordable price; they're about $20. You aren't able to choose your own charms from the website which is a downfall for me because I want to be able to customize it from the since I'm an extremely picky person.

I received two: a pink one and a semi multicolored one.

Another downfall is when it is opened lengthwise, it's very easy to lose the actual clamp because it isn't attached (pictured above)

Gray and Purple Dramatic Eyes

Hey everyone!

I recently bought two of the Maybelline Color Tattoos because I had heard so many great things about them! I wasn't able to actually test out the longevity of it today but I will in a couple of days and then update this post. I bought Tenacious Teal and Audacious Asphalt and today I used Audacious Asphalt to create a gray and purple smokey eye. So let's begin!

The eyes:

One eye

To start off, apply some take at the corner. I didn't apply any base, I went ahead and just applied the color tattoo with the intention of testing it out. (Maybelline color tattoo in Audacious Asphalt)

Apply it all over the lid

To look like:

Next, take a gray eyeshadow and apply it on top of the base (gray from Coastal Scent's Smokey Palette)

To look like

And blend it out

Next, take a mixture between a matte purple (mufe 92)

and a matte black (mufe 4)

And apply to the outer corner

And keep blending inwards

To look like

Take the tape off and now onto the lower lashline! Apply some of the purple and black to the lower lashline and line your waterline with black. Also apply a light grey to the inner half of the lower lashline

Apply liner and falsies and the look is done!

For the cheeks, use a strawberry color blush (mac bite of an apple, l/e)

For my lips, I used a pinky brown lipstick (clinique pink chocolate) and a nude gloss (nars turkish delight)

I used Graftobian's foundation and I hated how it looked on me! It made the bronzer look really muddy and the blush barely showed. I use it on my clients and it does wonders, just not on me.

Color and Glitter

Hey everyone!

So I've been obsessing over glitter lately and had to create a look using it. I wanted to steer away from the traditional black liner and instead decided to add some color.

The look:

Let's begin!

To start off, apply white eyeshadow base all over the lid (Nyx Jumbo Pencil Milk) I apologize for not blending completely under the brow, I can't see it in my lighting!

Next, take a golden shadow and lightly apply it all over the lid (Mac Goldmine)

To look like:

Next, take a matte chocolate brown shade (From Lorac's Red Carpet Palette, 3rd shade) and apply in the crease blending upwards

To look like

Next, take a liquid glitter and apply it on top of the gold (Lorac's 3-d Luster)

To look like

On top of that, apply a loose glitter (glamour doll eyes hollywood)

To look like

Apply a teal liner (Mac l/e Siahi, I forgot to take a picture) and falsies.

For the lower lashline, take a blue gel liner and apply to waterline (Bobbi Brown Denim Ink)

Take a matte blue shadow (mufe #159 and blend on lower lashline)

And the eyes are done!

For my cheeks, apply a dark peach shade (Mac l/e Eversun)

For my lips, I used a nudey-pink lipstick closer to my natural lip shade (Nyx Heredes)

Bright Blue, Dark Green

Hey everyone!

After a crucial study week, I'm back with a new post. A couple of days ago, I bought a macro lens that I instantly fell in love with but unfortunately had to return because my camera was acting a bit weird when I was using it. Lucky for me, I got one post in and this is the one!! I recently received some shadows from Glamour Doll Eyes and OMG they're amazing!! I got mostly matte shades since I'm trying to experiment with them so it took a lot more time to pack on the color and blend it well. With a primer, these shadows are absolutely amazing and a steal at about $6 for a full jar! I used a bright blue, a matte dark green and some silver glitter (cuz I never get enough of it).

The look:

Ah, I miss this lens so much :(

Obviously, I have a glitter craze at the moment lol.

Let's begin!

Apply a dark cream shadow all over the lid (from elf)

Apply a matte white shadow as a highlight under the brow (mac chamomile)

Now, take a bright blue pigment (mingles by glamour doll eyes)

And apply all over the lid

To look like

And blend with a blending brush

Also apply a matte black in the crease just to add more definition (mufe black #4)

Now take some silver glitter (Hollywood, Glamour Doll eyes)

And apply to inner corner with pencil brush

Apply falsies and onto the lower lashline! apply some black liner to the waterline and take a dark green shadow (Martini glamour doll eyes)

And apply under the liner

Apply mascara and the eyes are done!

For my cheeks I used an orange blush (Nars Taj Mahal)

To look like

For my lips, I used a pinky brown lipstick (Clinique pink chocolate) and a pink gloss with golden flecks (nars orgasm)

Final Face: ( sorry, the foundation looks super light :(

Typical Valentine

Hey everyone!!

Today I did both a pictorial and a video tutorial for this one so I hope you like it!! I'm still getting the hang of the whole video process but for now, bear with me. Today's look, as the title suggests, is a typical valentine look, a pink smokey. I added a little bit of purple to the lower lashline just to change it up a little bit because for some reason, I associate valentines day with pink and purple. This is similar to a look I've previously done using elf cosmetics.

The look:

Let's begin! To start off, as always apply a matte eyeshadow base all over the lid and under the brow (Mac Painterly Paint Pot)

Next, take a shimmery baby pink shadow and apply it all over the lid (sorry, old swatch, from The balm shady lady vol. 3

To look like

Next, take a deep golden-black shadow with green undertones (Nars Night Clubbing)

And apply to the outer corner and blend inwards

To look like

I also applied a matte white shadow as a highlight under the brow (not pictured) (Mac Chamomile)

Now for the lower lashline, take a purple liner which I have no idea why it looks blue in the pics and the vid and apply to waterline and a little bit on the lashline (urban decay 24/7 liner in lust)

Now to make it more purple, apply a matte purple shadow on top of the liner on the lashline, not the waterline (that would irritate the eye. I used Mufe's #92)

Also take the the same pink shadow and place a little on the inner corner.
Apply falsies and black liner to the top lashline and the eye is done! That was quite simple :)

For the cheeks, I first used a golden cream bronzer (Chanel Soleil de tan)

and on top of it, I used a shimmery pink blush with a peach undertone (Nars Orgasm)

To look like

for the lips, I lightly dabbed a matte fuchsia(lime crime centrifuchsia) all over and layered a pinky purple gloss on top (Mac l/e Flaunting it)

Matte and a Pop

Hey everyone!!

I posted this look up on my facebook page a few days and finally got around to putting up the pictorial today. My classes started Tuesday along with me starting at a new university and I've been extremely busy and I don't see that pattern changing. Sadly, this means that I won't be posting as much as I would love to :( But I'll try to at least once a week, if not more.

For today's look, I used a matte brown and matte black shadow on my lid and for the bottom, I used a pop of color. Instead of using an eyeshadow though, I used a colored liner! I wear this look out quite often because it brings out the brown in my eyes. I definitely do love shades of teal for brown eyes to make them pop. AND AND I used a bit of glitter on the inner corners :)

Here's the look:

Let's begin:

To start off, apply a brown gel liner as an eyeshadow base (Clinique gel liner in Deep Brown)

To look like

Next, take a matte chocolate shadow (Clinique single shadow in Chocolate chip)

And apply it all over the lid with a flat shader brush

To look like

And blend out with a clean shader brush

To look like

Now, take a matte black shadow (mufe #4)

And pat it on the outer corner with the same flat shader brush.

First it will look like this

Keep patting it on the lid and lightly blending between the two colors to have a smooth transition. It's important to pat instead of blend, otherwise it will lose the heavy pigmentation.

And blend only in the crease

Take a beige color (Elf mineral shadow in natural)

And apply to the inner corner with a pencil brush

And apply a bit of glitter only on the inner corner (Lorac's 3d Lustre)

Now for the lower lashline, take a tealish green eyeliner (Urban Decay 24/7 pencil liner in Covet)

and apply all over the lashline and waterline

And blend it out a bit to give a smokey effect

Notice, I have already applied a black liner, to my top lashline and falsies.
And the eyes are done!

For the cheeks, I used a matte rosy blush (Nars Dolce Vita)

To look like

And ah the lips. I had THE hardest time figuring out what color to apply because my lips were extremely chapped at the moment and nothing was looking good. I ended up using a strawberry pink color (Clinique Chubby Stick in Super Strawberry)

I took a pic of the full face in no flash to show the glitter. Hope you don't mind and I'm sorry it looks so yellow!

Wearable Orange

Hey everyone!

I went to a family dinner a few days ago and this is the look I sported! I had never used this orange shadow outside of my tutorials, and I made it super wearable so those color shy will have no hesitation trying it.

Here's the look:

Let's begin! To start off, apply a peach cream shadow as a base (elf cream shadow in Butter Pecan, the peach side)

all over the lid

Next, take a matte coral shadow (Mufe #5)

And apply to the center of the lid

To look like

Now, take a reddish brown shadow (from the Clinique's l/e Milly Palette, the last shade)

And apply to outer corner. Also apply a light beige highlight (first shadow)

First dot

Then blend

Then, to darken up the outer corner just a bit more, apply a matte black shadow (Mufe #4)

and make a sideways "u" shape with a pencil brush

To look like

And blend

Now, take a shimmery champagne color (elf mineral shadow in Celebrity)

and place on the inner corner with a pencil brush (was wiped clean on a napkin before dipped into this product)

So it should look like

Apply black liner and falsies if you'd like. And onto the lower lashline! Apply a black liner to the waterline. Then, take the same reddish brown shadow and apply all over the lower lashline

And add a little bit more of the champagne color on the inner corner

Final eye look:

For the cheeks, use an orange tone blush with gold undertones (Nars Taj Mahal)

To look like

For my lips, I used a brown lipliner (Nyx Cocoa), a rosy matte lipstick (Mac l/e Mehr) and a peachy lipgloss (Clinique Vitamin C Lip Smoothie in Mango-thon)

Let's Review: Inglot Liquid liner #29

Hey everyone!

A couple of posts back, in one of my looks, I used Inglot's liquid liner in #29. It's a matte dark reddish purple shade that I am obsessed with at the moment and thought it would be a wonderful item to review. I bought this online during the black Friday sale. Shipping took about a week which was normal since it was black Friday but the only part I didn't like too much was that there was no follow up email about the details of my item. Customer service was satisfactory and the best way to reach them is on twitter.

Now onto the liner!

The tip of the liner is fine. Sturdy, yet not too flimsy, and not too long. Application is extremely simple.

It takes about thirty seconds to dry. While it's wet, it does get in the crease when you open your eyes, so I recommend just looking down until it dries completely.

I wanted to do a little comparison between this and the Sephora liquid liner I own, which is also the only other liquid liner I have. (More details on the Sephora liner found HERE.)

In the first picture, I have a regular swatch. In the after picture, I rubbed my finger across both liners generously and this is what happened:

The Sephora liner faded, but unfortunately, the Inglot liner started cracking, which was odd. On my oily lids, the lasting power for both is for about four hours.

The Inglot liner retails for about $9. Even though it doesn't last as long as I would like it to, I still do love it and wear it daily since it's super simple to apply, especially when I'm in a hurry.

How I Fill in my Brows

Hey everyone!

I have two posts saved up but for some reason I hate posting them on the same day so I had to wait till midnight to post this even thought it is now 3a.m lol. Anyways, I had a request from Alina a couple of posts back on how I do my brows. I never really paid attention to my brows until I started blogging and realized my look was never complete without them being done. I recommend to all of you, whether you have full brows or not to at least fill them in the slightest bit even if it's a neutral look. It'll make a world of difference. Believe me!

Since I just recently became interested in brows, I have yet to buy any products specifically created for them, so for now, I just use a mid tone brown eyeshadow. Now I know I have black hair, so you're probably wondering why I don't I use black shadow? It's way too harsh!!

So a tip: For darker eyebrows, choose one shade lighter for brows, for medium brown brows, choose one shade darker. For blonde hair, use one to two shades darker.

For me, I chose a light chocolate brown shadow from makeup forever #17, a chocolate brown with gray undertones.

Here's what my plain brows look like with no product

I usually try my best to get my eyebrows threaded every two to three weeks so personally, I know nothing about grooming. I do, however, do the occasional tweezing for any new grown hairs that I notice.

Now, dipping into the shadow with an angled brush (from coastal scents) I start from filling in from underneath the brow (as shown by the arrow) and I stop at the arch of my brow (where the dot is shown)

I then move the brush upwards and fill in the beginning of the brow and stop at the arch at the top.

And I fill in where the arch is to make sure it all blends

And so far, it should look like:

Now, the rest of the brow, I just follow the shape and go a little bit past the original shape

And the final look of the brow:

It wasn't too much but it made a HUGE difference! I know some also like to use concealer to clean the edges. I do that sometimes, but I don't find the need to do it all the time and mostly, I just forget.

Both of my eyebrows are completely different shapes, which is something completely NORMAL. I embrace them but at the same time, try my best to match them to each other

And that's how I do them brows!

I Saw a Peacock on a Starry Night

Hey everyone!

I was looking at Van Gogh's Starry Night online because it has an amazing range of colors and wanted to do a look inspired by it! As I started doing the look however, I started adding peacock colors and slowly shifted towards that instead so it's now a mixture of both. Either way, I love this look because I went out of my comfort zone and tried a different technique of shadow.

The look:

Let's begin!

To start off, take a white eyeshadow base (NYX Milk)

And apply all over the lid

And blend out with your ring finger

Now, take a black eyeliner and draw out a semi circle (it doesn't have to be perfect)

Now take a dark matte teal color (Mac Plumage)

And apply with a small concealer brush, packing on the color little by litlle above the semi circle

To look like

Take a blending brush and blend out the dark teal (using Sigma blending brush)

Take a white matte shadow (Mac Chamomile)

And apply as a highlight under the brow using a flat shader brush (Mac 239)

And blend the dark teal a little bit more so it's a smooth transition

Now take a shimmery gold (Mac Goldmine)

And apply inside the semi circle with a flat shader brush

To look like

Now for the inner hollow of the eye, apply a matte blue (Mufe 159)

with a pencil brush (Coastal Scents pencil brush)

And apply a matte purple (Mufe 92) above the blue

To look like

For the lower lashline, apply a black liner and pack on the dark teal shadow (Plumage)

And apply the gold on the inner corner

No liner on the upper lashline this time, apply falsies and the look is done!

For the cheeks, heavily apply a matte rosy blush (Mac l/e Darkly my Dear)

To look like

For the lips, use a purple lipliner (Sephora nano liner in #10 Lovely Lilac) A pinky-purple lipstick (Mac Up the Amp) and a purple lipgloss (Mac l/e Flaunting it)

Hey everyone!!

I'm baaaaack!! After a brutal two weeks, my camera was finally fixed and I couldn't wait even a second to create a new tutorial. Oh how I missed all of you!!

My look for today involves pink and teal which was a little bit of a failure because as I was blending the two shades together, it was turning purple and then turned blue. But I let it happen and went a step further to create a double winged look.

Here's the look:

Let's begin!

To start off, apply a matte eyeshadow base all over the lid (Mac's painterly paint pot). Then, take a shimmery nude beige shadow and apply all over the lid and under brow (e.l.f's mineral shadow in natural)

To look like

Next, take a matte pink shadow (mufe #26, it looks lilac, but it is a bright pink)

Next, on the outer corner, apply a matte vibrant turquoise (Mufe #72)

And start blending

Blend the two colors from the middle (mac's 239 brush)

To look like

and blend into the crease with a clean blending brush (Sigma blending brush)

Now, take a matte black shadow (Mufe #4)

And draw a slant line with and angled brush (Coastal Scent's angled brush)

And take it inwards with the same brush

Take a little bit of black on the same blending brush and start blending with the teal on the outer corner

To look like

Now I wanted the pink to have a little bit of an iridescence to it so I applied a pinky duo chrome shadow (Mac's pigment in Pink Pearl)

And apply on top of the matte pink

To look like

Now for the lower lashline, apply the same nude beige pigment on the inner half (coastal scents pencil brush)

And apply a teal pigment (Mac's pigment in teal) for the rest of the lower lashline. Also apply black liner on the waterline

Now for the liner, take a matte dark purple liner (Inglot #29) and apply as the regular liner. Take a bright, vibrant baby blue (Sephora's liner in #13, Fancy Blue) and apply it underneath the wing

Apply falsies and the look is done:

For the cheeks, I used a rosy cream blush (Mufe #8) I'm not a fan of this one, it's hard for me to apply, hence why you can't really see it.

For the lips, use a purple lipliner (Sephora nano lipliner #10, lovely lilac) and apply a mauve lipstick (Mufe #31)

Green Smoke and Icy Blue

Hey everyone!

I have some bad news... My camera has been sent off for some repairing, so sadly I won't have a camera for 1-2 weeks maybe even more and I'm so disappointed right now! This was the last post I was able to do :(.

For this look, I was completely drained out of ideas so I went and stared at my makeup and created a look with the first colors I saw, which in this case were green and blue with a little bit of white.

The look: (please excuse the ungroomed brows)

Close up: This is almost a springy look except for the white on the lower lash

To start off, apply a shimmery eyeshadow base (Mac Bare study paint pot)

Then, apply a shimmer green on the lid (E.l.f's mineral shadow in Earthy-love this color)

To look like

next, mix a bit darker green (Mufe 310)

and a little bit of black (Mufe 4) and apply to the outer half of the lid

And blend

To look like

Take a little bit more of the black and blend right at the outer corner to give more depth

it will look like

And now time for the lower lashline!

Take a white shimmery shadow (From theBalm)

And apply to the inner half

And take a blue (mufe 159)

and apply to the the rest of the lower lash

now line your lash and water line with a black liner. Tip: Extend the liner on the lashline on the innner rim to create an illusion of an almond shape

Final eye:

For the cheeks, apply a peachy/golden blush (Mac Eversun l/e?)

To look like

For the lips, I wanted to do a bright pink so I did!

I used Lime Crime's Centrifuchsia and nars' Turkish Delight

I realize I used a bit too many colors, but in my defense, I was all out of ideas.

Cut-Crease Contest Entry: Tropical Sunset

Hey everyone!

This is my contest entry for Cynthia and my first time doing a cut crease! I was gonna post up just the pictures but that's no fun considering my blog is a tutorial blog. Hopefully it helps you out because this honestly took me 2 hours to do because I couldn't get the eyes to match!

Anyways, let's begin!

And close up:

Yup, as you can see I found another way to incorporate my red glitter into a look :)

So to start off, apply a white eyeshadow base. Then, apply a copper shadow (MAC pigment in copper sparkle)

All over the lid. Leave the inner corner empty

Then take some red glitter (Coastal Scents Crimson Glitter)

and apply to the outer to outer corner. (Tip: If you don't have any glitter adhesive, just take use some gloss as a base)

Now the hard part. This probably will be the worst explanation so please bare with me. Apply a matte black shadow (From Mufe= make up for ever matte black in #4)

And start creating a thin line in your crease with a thin concealer brush

Now, take a pencil brush and little by little, blend it inwards

At first it will look like

With a little bit more blending

And some more blending on the inner part of the eye.

To keep the line distinct, clean up the edges with a q-tip. It should look like

Now, take a gold shadow and apply it on the inner half of the lid (Urban Decay Baked)

Then, take a golden bronze pigment (Mac l/e in reflects bronze)

And apply on top of the gold

Apply black liner and connect it with the shadow. Apply mascara and falsies if you'd like ( I use Ardell 120)

For the lower lashline, apply a teal liner (Lancome Teal delight l/e)

and pack on some blue-green shadow on top of it (Mac Blue Green pigment)

To look like

For my cheeks, I used a dark rose blush (Nars Dolce Vita)

Which will look like

And for my lips, I used a red-orange lipstick (Clinique Citrus Rose)

I also dabbed a little bit of the copper shadow used in the beginning to the center of my lips just for fun :)

Final face:

Silvery Golden Green

I finally jumped on the Facebook bandwagon and created my own Page! I'll have all my looks organized into different folders so like if you're interested :)

Now onto the look. I did a highly unusual comibination last night of various different colors and it didn't come out half bad. I did this look super late at night so some of the colors didn't show up as vibrant as I would've liked them to :( It gets dark here pretty early now and since school is over, my sleeping schedule is completely unorganized so I do tend to wake up two hours before it gets dark haha oops!

Here's the look:

Let's begin!

To start off, take a silvery white cream shadow and apply it all over the lid (white shade in E.l.f's cream shadow in Coffee and Cream)

Next, take a dark matte chocolate brown shadow (Clinique Chocolate Chip) and apply it in the crease

To look like

Next, take a silvery white shadow (From thebalm's shady lady vol. 3) and apply all over lid

To look like

Next, take a dark teal shadow (MAC Plumage) and apply it strictly on the outer corner

To look like

And blend upwards just a bit

To look like

Apply mascara, black liner and falsies and the lids are done. Onto the lower lashline!

On my waterline, I used a teal liner and also blended it on my lower lashline (I forgot to take a picture of it :( but it was Mac's l/e fluidline in Siahi)

Take the dark teal shadow again and blend on the outer lower lashline

Take a golden green shadow (Mac's pigment in golden olive) and apply to the rest of the lower lashline along with the inner corner

And the eyes are done!

Final look:

For the cheeks, I used a very light amount of some orange blush (Mac l/e My Paradise)

To look like

For the lips, I used a rosy lipstick and a pink lip tar (Estee Lauder Rose lipstick, OCC lip tar in Memento)

And it looks like

The Brushes I use

Hey everyone!!

Lesley, a fellow reader asked me what brushes I used and I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to do a post on them! I normally always picture the brushes I use in my tutorials and never actually say which ones they are which can be a little difficult to those wanting to practice. I have many more than the ones that are pictured below, but these are the ones that I reach for the most and use in almost all my tutorials.

So...

For my face/ Cheeks:

Sigma F82: I absolutely LOVE this for my foundation and have never used another.

The Real Techniques Stippling Brush: I recently bought this and love it for setting my powder. This is a versatile brush that I also sometimes use for blush and bronzer. I wouldn't personally recommend it for foundation however because it's not as stiff as I would like it to be.

Sigma F05 Small Contour Brush: I also use this for powder and bronzer but not blush because it packs on a lot of product which can be horrible for those super pigmented blushes you own (NARS Taj Mahal, I'm looking at you). Sadly, this brush sheds insanely and isn't as soft as I'd like it to be :(

Real Techniques Blush Brush: I use this for blush and it is perfect because you can never apply too much!

And now Eyebrows/Eyes:

Angled Brush: I got this in a brush set from Coastal Scents and love it to fill in my eyebrows. I use powder eyeshadow and this is the perfect brush to use because it's not too thin, and not too dense (if that makes sense).

Mac 239: The only high-end brush I own and am glad I purchased it because it packs on the eyeshadow colors wonderfully. This can be used for multiple things such as blending and such but I love it to pack my eyeshadow all over the lid.

Blending Brush: From E.l.f, I use this if I want to concentrate the color on the outer corner. I pack on the color with this brush and place it directly on the outer corner before blending.

Sigma E25: I use this for blending and love it because it's soft and makes blending super easy.

Sigma E25 (mini): I received this brush free through one of my orders and use it to pack on my cream eyeshadow as a base all over the lid. As you can see, it is a little worn out but that's all my fault.

Blending Brush: I also got this in the Coastal Scents Brush set and use it as a highlighter for my browbone. I like this because it's a larger brush so you can never apply too much.

Sigma E05: This is my favorite eye liner brush and I highly recommend it for those that use gel liner. I used to use Benefit's bent eye liner brush but changed to this one I love how it's thin yet holds enough product.

Smudge Brush: This is my absolute favorite brush from e.l.f and I use it to pack on the eyeshadow to my lower lash line

Pencil Brush: From Coastal Scents, I use this to blend out the colors that I pack on using the smudge brush,

So that's my brush collection! Now as weird as this may sound, I wash my brushes everyday. I know it's bad but because my skin is acne prone, I have to, HAVE to wash them everyday, or no joke I will break out :(

Hana Professional Review

Hey everyone!

While I wait for the pictures of all my brushes to upload on Photobucket, I'll do a quick review on a straightener I received a couple of weeks back. I was kindly sent an email and asked to review the Hana 1" Professional Hair Straightener which can be found at Missiko, a site that sells some of the best and top brand straighteners such as Corioliss, Chi and Croc. Now, I've been on the lookout for a good flat iron for a long time. I used to use the Chi but gave that to my sister as I wasn't completely satisfied with the results that it gave me. The Hana Flat Iron has a complete list of great features and the one that appealed to me was the fact that it goes up to 450°F which is great because my hair is crazy and needs that kind of heat! Before I recieved this flat iron, I had been using my Revlon 1" one and I really did and still do love it. The only downfall with that is that it doesn't heat up as much as I would've liked it to.

Along with the flat iron, I was also sent the shine serum, along with a bunch of other stuff and frankly, I didn't like the serum. I use my Chi silk infusion and have yet to find anything better. The Hana shine serum left my hair feeling heavy and bleh! I don't recommend it.

Now on to the flat iron!

I actually really do love it mostly because it keeps my hair straight all day. My hair is super curly and frizzy and completely unmanageable so heat, sadly is a must everyday. My hair feels super smooth, looks shiny and frizz free especially with the combination of the CHI Silk Infusion.

And yup, that's my natural hair, air dried hair. A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE.

Golden Smoke

Hey everyone!

If you remember, not too long ago, I said that I bought some red glitter a while back and had no idea how to incorporate it into my looks. Well I found a way!! Instead of putting them on my eyes, I put them on my lips! I was completely careful not to lick my lips afterwards of course because I really did not want any of it in my system, I mean who wants to eat glitter? Haha anyways onto the look!

I just went with a normal golden smokey eye

Let's begin!

To start off, I applied a golden eyeshadow base (Benefit's Gilded, I don't know if it is still sold in stores)

And also apply a off white eyeshadow as a highlight (lightest shade Lorac's Red Carpet Eye and Cheek Palette)

Now, take a black liner and make a slanted line

And bring it inwards

And blend it out

To look like

Now, take a golden shadow (Urban Decay shadow in Baked)

And apply it to the lid

To look like

Now take a matte black shadow (Makeup Forever #4)

And apply to the outer corner

And blend well to look like

And blend out the harsh line in the crease with a matte brown shadow (also makeup forever)

To look like

Apply a thin liner and falsies and the lid is done!

For the lower lashline, apply liner and the black shadow

And the gold to the inner half

And for the inner corner, apply a white shimmery shadow (From thebalm's shady lady vol. 3)

And the eyes are done!

For the cheeks, use a matte rose shade (NARS Dolce Vita)

To look like

And for the lips, Take red and a darker red (Clinique Angel Red and Clinique Cranberry Cream-darker red)

To look like (without glitter)

And I applied glitter all over the lips (Coastal Scents glitter in Crimson)

Final look: (Sorry, I don't know why my foundation looks light!! Argh!)

Lower Lash Love

Hey everyone!!

For starters, I am super excited to let you all know that I did a guest Christmas post for another blogger! Niki emailed me a while back and kindly asked me to do a holiday look for her in a special for her blog. She lives in Hungary but the unique thing about her blog is that she translates everything to English so everyone can understand! Check out my post and the lovely Niki here.

Now, as you all know, I am fully in love with smokey eyes because for me it is the most simple look that can be worn anywhere! Well instead of the standard black smokey eye, I decided to switch it up and make it a purple smokey eye AND add some bright colors to my lower lashline.

Here's the look:

Close up

Let's begin!

To start off, apply a cream shadow as a base

Next, take a dark golden black shade (NARS Night Clubbing)

And apply is all over the lid

To look like

And blend it out

Also apply a light golden shade (lighter shade from Clinique's Beach Plum duo)

As the browbone highlight

Next, take a matte purple shadow (mufe purple 92)

And apply it on top of Nars Night Clubbing

To look like

And blend this upwards towards the browbone

To look like

And the lid is done! Apply mascara and falsies if you'd like. Moving on to the lower lashline!

Apply the same highlight shade on the inner half of the lid

Right next to it, Blend out a matte turquoise shade (Mufe Turquoise 72)

And next to that, apply a dark blue shade (Mufe matte blue 159)

And of course don't forget to apply a black liner in the waterline.

The look is done!

For the cheeks, apply a bright strawberry blush (Mac l/e Bite of an apple)

To look like

And for the lips, apply a matte pinky-brown lipstick and nude gloss (Clinique Pink Chocolate lipstick, Nars Striptease lipgloss)

To look like

Full Face:

I love this combo so much, for another look, I might just reverse it!!

Let's Review: Make up For Ever Eye Seal

Hey everyone!!

So for Sephora's F&F Sale, I decided to purchase Mufe's Eye Seal, a liquid that is said to make your eyeshadow more pigmented. It is sold for $20 and contains 14ml. The lady there also told me it was waterproof so I had to buy it but to my surprise, it wasn't completely waterproof. The reason I bought this product was because I was looking for something to make my eyeshadow more pigmented (of course). I had heard about Inglot having a similar product but since I received the coupon, I thought to check this out instead.

Here's what it looks like:

Now to test this product out, I used a shadow to see if it would make any difference and for that, I used E.L.F's mineral eyeshadow in Sweet. To use the eye seal, I put one drop on the cap of the shadow and dipped my finger onto the seal and then onto the shadow.

I have it swatched on my arm so you all can see the difference.

It definitely is more pigmented than compared to just a bare swatch but then it is also more pigmented when swatched wet so I didn't know what to think at this point!

I also had to test it out to see if it was waterproof so I just took a wet paper towel, waited about thirty seconds and swiped it across my arm just ONCE

And obviously it wasn't waterproof for the eyeshadow :(

I also wanted to test this on one of my favorite gel liners that has dried out and

for that I used Lancome's limited edition gel liner in Teal Delight, a gorgeous teal shade!!

To use this, I just did just one drop straight onto the liner

And to see if this was waterproof, I swiped it across twice with a wet paper towel and I also wiped it down on each one about four times.

For the gel liner, I really do see a difference in the between the two. The good thing about this product with the gel liner is that once you use a drop in the product, it's basically soaked in so it stays , meaning it doesn't dry up again which is AWESOME.

I do love this because it does what it claims to do, the only negative is that it's not waterproof on the shadows. I also love the fact that it has a great staying power with the the gel liner because that's the one thing I always have to wear. As for the packaging, it's easy to control how many drops you'd like so you'll never be wasting any of it :)

The price might seem like a lot, because the Duraline from Inglot only retails for $7.95 and contains 9ml but you do get a lot of product and you only need a little amount that will last a REALLY long time.

All in all, I would recommend this but if any of you have tried the Inglot one, or anything similar, tell me about it please!!

Glitter Green

Hey everyone!!

With December just around the corner, I thought I'd get started on my holiday looks. I've been wanting to use glitter for a while now and green glitter definitely reminds me of the holiday time. I bought this glitter from Coastal Scents last year and also bought one in red which I have yet to use because honestly, I'm afraid to use red on me because of my skin tone. If not used correctly, it'll make me look unappealing. But I'll figure something out soon!! And yes, this glitter is safe on the eyes.

Here's the look:

Let's begin!!

To start off, apply a white eyeshadow base (Nyx Jumbo pencil in Milk)

all over the lid and blend out
(unblended)

Next, take a white/silvery shadow and apply all over the lid

To look like

Next, blend out the white with a brown shadow to give a subtle look

To look like

Doing this, gives a better illusion when applying the glitter

So now it's time for the glitter!!
Since I don't have the glitter base, I just used a regular gloss and applied it all over the lid, leaving the inner corner out
And it will look like

Next take a green glitter (I used Emerald Green From Coastal Scents)

And apply it on the lid where you put the gloss/ glitter base
It will look like

And blend out the glitter with a brown shadow (same one applied earlier)

To look like

And now apply the white shadow to the inner corner again blending with the glitter

To look like

Now now for the lower lashline:
Apply a black shadow on the lower lashline and apply the glitter to the lower lashline

Apply liner, mascara and falsies and the look is done!

For the cheeks, I used a bright strawberry blush (MAC bite of an apple)

To look like

And I kept the lips a little more neutral and for that I used a pinky brown lipstick (Clinique Pink Toffee) This lipstick is so moisturizing, there is no need for a gloss!

Teal and Brown

Hey everyone!!

So a couple of years ago, (no idea which collection) I purchased a Mac mineralize eyeshadow duo in Blue Sorcery and never used it. So of course this was the perfect excuse to whip it out for the first time and create a look!!

Here's the look:

One eye:

Let's begin!

To start off, apply an eyeshadow base and a light beige highlight (E.L.F mineral eyeshadow in Natural) on the browbone

Apply a creamy eyeshadow base to the inner corner of the eye for the silver in the duo to stick better

Now, we're going to work backwards so take a dark matte brown shadow (Clinique Chocolate chip)

And apply to the crease blending upwards towards the highlight

To look like

Now leave it as is, we'll be coming back to it in a bit. Take the silver shadow from the duo

And pack it on the inner corner (This has CRAZY fallout)

To look like

And now take the teal shade and apply it all over the lid NOT passing the crease

To look like

Now, take a deep blue green (MAC Deep Blue Green pigment)

And apply to the outer corner, again not passing the crease

To look like

And blend inwards with the light teal

And also apply this same shade to the lower lashline

Now line your lid and waterline and apply mascara and falsies and the eyes are done!

For my cheeks, I used a dark rosy brown blush (MAC darkly my dear, l/e)

and I also used the E.L.F mineral highlight shade (natural) as my cheek highlighter

To look like

For the lips, I used an extremely little amount of pink gloss topped with a nude gloss

(OCC lip tar in pageant, Nars gloss in Turkish Delight) Now this shade was a little too light on my skintone so I added a little bit of a bronzy lipstick on top (Clinique honeynut)

To look like

Full Face: (I used Clinique's Acne Solutions Foundation mixed with Lush's Color Supplement to get a perfect match)

And that's the look!

Oh, almost forgot! This past weekend, I volunteered to do the makeup for a fashion show for a banquet at the university I am planning to transfer to next semester. It was a fashion show for Pakistani traditional clothing and since it was on stage, the girls wanted smokey eyes and nude lips (you can never go wrong with that!) All the looks were the same but I want to share them anyway because no girl had the same eyeshape so it did end up being a little bit different for each. There were 7 girls in total but I'm not gonna show all cuz that can get a little repetitive.

and

On both/all girls, I used my Coastal Scent's Smokey eye palette along with Stila's one step foundation that I picked up on hautelook about two weeks ago. For the lips, I used Occ's lip tar in trick which surprisingly wore off within an hour on some girls :(

Complementary: Yellow and Purple and Eid Pics

Hey everyone!!

I was drained of ideas so I asked my mom to give me some color choices. I usually ask my boyfriend but he always, ALWAYS says red and I have no red shadow haha. My mom said blue and orange and I realized that I had already done a look using shades similar to those and also realized that both of those are complementary. And so I did Yellow and Purple :)

For those who don't know, complementary colors are those that are opposite on the color wheel.

The look:

Let's Begin!

To start off, apply a piece of tape angling from the end of your eyebrow towards your nose. apply a cream shadow all over the lid. Then, take a matte purple shade (Makeup forever 92)

And make a line at the outer corner

And start blending inwards take little shadow at a time

To look like

And now take a blending brush and blend it out a bit more, slowly building up the intensity. Also apply a light beige highlight under the brow

To look like

Next, start packing on a matte yellow eyeshadow (makeup forever yellow) and blend well with the purple.

to look like

Now it's not fully blended, so keep blending until there is a smooth transition between the yellow and orange

Now for the lower lashline, appply black eyeliner on the lashline and extend out creating a second line. It doesn't have to be parallel but you can make it that way if you'd like.

And apply the purple eyeshadow right underneath the liner. Also apply the yellow to the inner half of the lower lashline.

To look like

And now apply mascara and falsies and the eyes are done!

For the cheeks, I apply a dark dusty rose blush (Nars Dolce Vita)

To look like

For the lips, I used a purple/ pink lipstick (Clniqure A different Grape) and a rosy gloss

and Full Face

And that's the look!

Side post: On Sunday, it was Eid, our traditional holiday It was a super fun day packed with seeing family friends and of course EATING!

Lorac Eye And Cheek Palette

Hey everyone!!

The other day in the mail, I received a coupon from Ulta for 20% off so I decided to try out Lorac's Red Carpet Eye and Cheek Palette. I am slowly becoming an extreme fan of Lorac, they are so underrated!! I absolutely love this palette, the color pay off is gorgeous. The only downfall (my fault completely) is that I took all the pics during the night time like always and I'm beginning to realize it's not a great idea at all because the flash washes out the colors :(

Anyway, here are the colors from the palette and swatches:

One eye

Let's begin:

To start off, apply an eyeshadow base and take shade on and apply it to the inner corner of the eye. This is the perfect highlight color I've been searching for especially for night time. It has the perfect amount of shimmer!

And apply this under the brow also

Take shade two and apply it to the center of the lid, blending with shade 1

To look like

Next, take shade 3 and apply a concentrated amount to the outer corner

To look like

And blend inwards with a blending brush

To look like

Also take this shade and apply to the lower lashline. At this point, I have already apply mascara and falsies

And apply a bit more of shade 1 to the inner corner

And the eyes are done!

For the cheeks, I applied the blush, it's a super pretty rose shade

For the lips, I used a pinky peach lipstick and an orange lipgloss
