Liz Lovely is covering big, salty pretzels with the same yummy dark chocolate they use on their baked goods. These are crazy addictive. All flavors of the delightfully sugar-coma-inducing Lovely O's are back in stock, too.

All flavors of Just Tomatoes, Etc. products are back in stock, including two new varieties. Just Cherries and Just Pomegranate. We have taken to topping our morning soy yogurt with a hearty helping of the pomegranate seeds. They pack a great crunch and they're good for you!

There have been some fantastic vegan cookbooks to come out this year. One that I (Leigh) have been particularly excited about is 500 Vegan Recipes by Celine Steen and Joni Marie Newman. These ladies have been wowing vegan foodies with their inspiring recipes via their food blogs for quite some time now, and we are excited that they teamed up to create this master collection of recipes! 500 Vegan Recipes is currently our Deal of the Day, and will be for more than a day because we want you to get your copy at 10% off. Cosmo's in Boston and showroom hours this weekend

We are packing up and ready to hit the road for The 14th Annual Boston Vegetarian Food Festival this weekend! This fun food fest is two days long this year, and admission is free. Won't you stop by the Cosmo's table and say "hi" to us? And possibly purchase a nice candy bar or belt? Perhaps a book or a wallet? We will have lots of goodies with us.

Since we are a two person operation here at Cosmo's HQ, our brother/brother-in-law Greg will be helping out at the showroom on Friday and Saturday. Regular showroom hours apply! But please be aware that our showroom will be closed on Monday, November 2nd. We will be back on Tuesday and ready to sell you some vegan cheese! Or anything else you might like, for that matter. The roasts are in very limited quantity, so be sure to purchase yours soon before they're gone for the season. I know we keep saying that about our seasonal products, but it's very true. This new book title has been flying off the shelf since we tweeted about their arrival just a few hours ago. In fact we only have a couple copies left! But if you aren't able to purchase your copy this weekend, please don't fret. We have more coming in just a few days!

Another newbie product that arrived today are the mini marshmallows from Sweet & Sara. These are the same gourmet marshmallow goodies you know from Sweet & Sara, just cut down for ease of use into a nice cup of hot cocoa. Each little bag contains 2.5 oz of baby mallows for only $1.99.

Oct. 24--Yerkes--National Primate Liberation Week

It's National Primate Liberation Week from 10/17 thru 10/24.

Please join other like-minded people who care about the suffering of primates when we gather at the stone gate entrance of Emory University on Saturday, Oct. 24 from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM to educate the public about what's happening in their own backyard.

If you're not aware of the suffering, take a look at some of the life stories of primates who have unnecessarily suffered and died right here in the Atlanta metro area---perhaps just down the street from where you live or work. While we are at work, when we go out to lunch, and as we do all the things we enjoy with family and friends, there are primates in Emory's Decatur laboratory self-mutilating because of the pain they are in.

The Animal Welfare Act does allow pain.....there's even a government form for researchers to complete and list the number of animals who experience extreme pain-----it's Column 5 --- where they place the number of animals who go thru this torture. What about those who are never reported? Don't let anyone convince you that all's well in the labs!

We have a couple of new products available to tell you about. First up is a "try me" size of Black Salt. Black Salt lends a pungent, egg-like flavor to any dish you season with it. Think of how much awesome this will add to your tofu scrambles! Black Salt is called for in many vegan recipes, including the Vegan Omelette recipes in the best selling cookbook Vegan Brunch.

Also new this week is the 10th Anniversary Edition of How It All Vegan! Geez, has it really been ten years? This special edition includes five new recipes and a full color photo section. And of course all of your old favorites are still there. Our friend Jeanette has some of her beautiful vegan pottery featured in the photos, too!

Veggie Conquest in NYC!

Hey NYC folks- If you love delicious, creative food, then you have to check out Veggie Conquest. Veggie Conquest is a vegan amateur cooking competition that's like Iron Chef, but without the chance of a "Battle Squid" or something gross and unvegan like that. The next vegan cooking competition is Saturday, September 26th West 26t Street, Manhattan. You can purchase tickets as a chef or a taster. How cool is that?

Daiya Vegan Cheese is shredded, meltable, stretchable, soy-free, and available here! Daiya Vegan Cheese is a perishable, refrigerated food. Therefore, Daiya does require shipping with a cooler and ice pack. If shelling out the extra $5.99 for the cooler & ice pack hurts a bit, you may want to consider adding some refrigerated products to your order to get more bang for your buck. We can fit 6-10 refrigerated foods in one cooler, so if you only want one or two bags of Daiya, perhaps we can interest you in some other cooler goodies? Unfortunately the cooler is necessary in order to have your Daiya Vegan Cheese arrive to you safe and ready to eat. It's so worth it though, ya'll. Daiya makes every meal better. We've been up to our eyeballs in grilled cheese sammies thanks to Daiya.
