First introduced as “Seimei”, Akame Nisei is the fighter unit of Beloved who masqueraded as Seimei in order to gain Aoyagi Misaki’s trust. Whether or not he was under Seimei’s orders is still unknown, but Nisei ended up drugging Misaki trying to convince her to murder her son, Ritsuka. Despite promising that Seimei would come back for good, Misaki refused to harm Ritsuka until she passed out.
Awesome and creepy cosplay! Nisei is one of those characters you just love to hate… or maybe hate to love? Thanks again to Fumiki for sending this in!

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children: Tifa Lockhart and Cloud Stife

Two years after Cloud Strife was able to defeat Sephiroth, Cloud lived with Tifa Lockhart in a city called Edge where they have been taking care of Barret Wallace’s daughter, Marlene, and an orphan named Denzel. A strange new disease called “Geostigma” threatened the lives of many citizens, including Cloud. He then journeys to meet the Turks, a group that performs operations with the megacorporation Shinra. It was later revealed that Jenova, the extraterrestrial life form whose cells were injected into Sephiroth, was connected to the cause of the Geostigma.
Impressive cosplay by You Mi as Tifa and her friend, Jasmine! This somehow reminds me of a scene from Dead Fantasy, but I think I’d rather add this to Advent Children. Thanks to You Mi for sending this!

Whatever series or game she’s from, I think she could be one of those strong female characters everyone else in the story falls in love with.

Despite being hyperactive and sometimes childish, Yui can also be “jokingly” rude to her colleagues, and even throw trash talk to Hinata and the others. Her upbeat personality may have stemmed from her being paralyzed from the neck down due to a car accident when she was still alive. Although it is unknown how she died, it can be assumed that her body somehow broke down in some way.
Very cute Yui! Even her pose seems to scream hyperactivity, but she’s missing her signature shackle bracelets! Thanks to anon for sending this!

Shortly after her mom's suicide, Asuka's Japanese-American father quickly remarries Kyoko’s doctor with whom he was having an affair with. Asuka’s defensiveness quickly repels her new stepmother, but the two eventually learn to tolerate one another while maintaining a cheerful facade of a normal family. Asuka proves to be a child prodigy, earning her university degree while still in her teens and becoming fluent in spoken Japanese.
Now that’s what I call authentic! And the detailing of the plug suit is wonderfully made. Thanks to Trina for sharing this!

Did you know that Hatsune Miku has made a guest appearance in an anime? Miku and other Vocaloids apparently appeared in episode 5 and 13 of “Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei” auditioning to dub Otonashi Meru’s voice.

Ayane was born as a result of Raidou raping Kasumi’s mother, Ayame. Although she was allowed to stay in Mugen Tenshin, she was always looked down on or generally ignored by many of the clan. Ayane admired her half-brother, Hayate as a way of increasing her self-esteem and lifting her sadness. She is known to have some connections with Ryu Hayabusa since he befriended Hayate and the Mugen Tenshin ninja clan.
Another awesome cosplay from Winter Comiket 2010! I really love cosplays of alternate costumes rather than the original designs. I just wonder which series this was first used in? Thanks to James for sending this!

An artificially enhanced Newtype, Elpeo Puru first appears in the series fighting for Neo-Zeon under Glemy Toto. After encountering ZZ Gundam’s Newtype pilot Judau Ashta, she becomes obsessed with him; a possible side effect of the cyber-enhancement process. She pilots the AMX-004-2 Qubeley Mk II.

Hetalia: Axis Powers: Honda Sakura

If I had to take a guess, two characters come to mind: Suzumiya Haruhi from The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi or Hirasawa Yui from K-On! It’s because her hair is similar to both characters, but the kimono reminds me Kinomoto Sakura from an episode in Card Captor Sakura.
What do you guys think? Maybe we should vote on it? Thanks again to Miguel for sending this!

After the "camo cricket" incident, Kyon realized that Yuki plays a "behind the scenes" role, making her one of Haruhi's puppeteers whose goals are to ensure Haruhi is fully satisfied and to make sure that order and balance are maintained. Yuki joined the SOS Brigade to monitor Haruhi and prevent her from feeling bored or disappointed because it is generally believed by the Data Overmind that such a drastic event could mean the end of the universe.

Just as Alois Trancy is the literary foil of Ciel Phantomhive, Claude Faustus also contrasts Sebastian Michaelis in order to highlight various features of Sebastian’s personality. Claude is more indifferent, hardly ever showing any emotion, and a perfectionist who has complete control over the other household servants. Unlike Sebastian, Claude never seems to attempt to stop Alois from doing anything unjust or inappropriate.

Zero's younger identical twin brother, Ichiru failed to become a Vampire Hunter due to his weak body and lack of hunter talents. He was believed to have been killed by the pure-blood vampire, Hio Shizuka, but he returned to Zero’s side 4 years later, revealing that he had willingly become Shizuka’s servant. She had given him her blood to cure his chronic illness in exchange for his loyalty, but she did not turn him into a vampire.
Amore’s twin, Artemisia makes a great Ichiru, much like how Amore makes an awesome Zero. Twins cosplaying twins; can’t go wrong there! Thanks again for allowing me to post this!

While training under Urahara Kisuke to become a Soul Reaper with his own powers, Kurosaki Ichigo partially becomes a hollow, the same evil spirit that he is fighting to protect people from. This leaves him with an insane inner hollow spirit that tries to take control of his body to fight. Within his inner world, the hollow mirrors Ichigo’s appearance, usually with pale white skin and hair, revealing black eyes with golden pupils.

Did you know that two or more "Reimu"s may exist in the Touhou Universe?
Apparently, there are circumstantial evidences suggesting that the Reimu from the PC-98 games may have been the ancestor of the Reimu from the Windows games. Despite Kazami Yuuka and Alice Margatroid “knowing” Reimu, they seem to compare instead of recalling a memory. Also, a different looking Reimu engaged Yakumo Yukari in battle after setting up the border in the Touhou Kinema-Kan animations, along with the fact that Reimu’s family may have also known Yukari for a long time.
It’s unlikely, but a trivia like this is always fun to read! I don’t know Touhou enough to know where this outfit is from, and are those other Touhou characters in the background? Thanks again to 4chanatic for sending this in!

With the knowledge of her childhood friend, Kiryuu Zero becoming a vampire, Yuki Cross decided that she would allow him to drink her blood in order to keep him from falling into a Level E. Little did she know that the very same night, she would run into Kuran Kaname, the vampire who saved her when she was only 5-years-old. Although Yuki tried to hide Zero’s fang marks, it was later revealed by Kaname’s conversation with Yagari Toga that Kaname did know what had happened, but he did not push Yuki to tell him so because he was afraid that he would lose her.

One fateful night in Cross Academy, Yuki found Zero in the corridor, where he lost control and bit her, revealing that he had been turned into a vampire. Kaname, who happened to be meeting with Kaien at the time, was alarmed at the scent of Yuki’s blood and hurried to the scene. Furious with what had occurred, he approached Zero, but when Yuki tried to come between them, she collapsed. In a cruel manner, Kaname told Zero that he had sucked so much blood from Yuki that she could barely stand, before carrying her away to tend her bite marks.
It’s either that, or this is the scene after Kaname asked Yuki to be his lover, and their first lunch together ended with her collapsing from the hallucinations of her lost memories. Wonderful cosplay by Gust James and Satiko-hime, nonetheless!

~~If this is a Vocaloid of an UTAUloid character-~~ I can’t keep up with these cosplayers and their character choices! As you can see, we are almost up to 100 Unknowns, but more than 70% have been identified thanks to you, my readers!
Better still, with more that 1000 cosplay features on Cosplay Holic, we have been able to link 30% of what would have been lost photos back to their respective owners! I never would have imagined this was possible and the cosplayers are very happy to have been identified and credited!

Said to be the daughter of the Fleuret Family from the country of Tenebrae, Stella Nox Fleuret is an enemy to Noctis Lucis Caelum, although her allegiances are unclear. She is ladylike and polite but is direct in her manner, acting according to her beliefs. Her weapon of choice is a rapier which she can summon from a golden rune similar to Noctis and his sword.
Breath-taking cosplay by ~RinoaMao! Fans of Final Fantasy Versus XIII might recall this very similar screenshot from the game. Great work by photographers Saikit and Henry and stylist Maria. Thanks to the cosplayer for this awesome contribution!

Cocky, cynical, and lazy, Reno is a highly skilled and prominent member of Turks, ranking directly below Tseng. Reno is rivals with Cloud Strife, but helped him out when Elena and Yuffie were kidnapped by Don Corneo. Soon after this incident, Reno received orders to find Cloud, but he decides not to fight on the pretext of being off duty.

The White Mage is a special job class in the Final Fantasy game series which is featured in several installments. Although they are physically weak, they have a broad array of healing and defensive magic spells. The White Mage is a peaceful healer among the Warriors of Light.

Final Fantasy VII Advent Children: Kadaj and Yazoo

Two of the three Remnants of Sephiroth, Kadaj and Yazoo are the main antagonists of Advent Children along with their brother, Loz. Kadaj is a highly skilled warrior and the leader of the group, while Yazoo, despite being a potent fighter is not as strong and agile as Loz. Kadaj is the only one who is aware of the existence and plans of Sephiroth and Jenova.

Final Fantasy VII: Sephiroth and Jenova

One the best and most powerful member of the elite warriors of Shinra, Sephiroth is well known for his skills during the war. Unfortunately, when he was sent on a mission to the village of Nibelheim, he discovered that he was only a product of a biological experiment using Jenova cells. This drove Sephiroth to insanity, burning down the entire village and killing several civilians. He was assumed dead after his confrontation with Cloud Strife, but reappears 4 years after the incident and kills Shinra's president in the process.
Beautiful cosplay! And as Phoenix, the contributor, said "unique because it actually showed Sephiroth and Jenova". Wish I had more pictures of this cosplayer! Thanks for sharing this!

The Twelve Kingdoms: Renrin

I had to skip last week's Unknown Cosplay Section because I didn't have any more unknowns until today.
I found this photo in my old hard drive. I didn't even know I still had cosplay photos in there! This is quite possibly very old already, so anyone's guess with who this girl is cosplaying is as good as mine.
Yes, I have absolutely no idea who the character is, so feel free to discuss this over at the comments section!
Also, we have the final results in Cosplay Holic's Poll! 168 votes total in only 30 days! You guys are amazing! Thanks for taking the time to vote! The winning vote is for me to update twice a day with 42%, and the runner up is the regular update of once a day at 36%!
I honestly don't know if I have enough cosplays from you guys to maintain a twice a day update, but I promise I will work very hard to reach this goal! For now, though, I may need to stick to once a day. That twice a day option was suppose to be a joke, but I guess the joke's on me now!

The Vice-President of Class 1-A, Momoka conducts meetings with the Class President, Soga Kazukiyo, who actually has feelings for her but is too shy to say anything. She is a classmate of Haruhi and the Hitachiin twins, and is a frequent client of Haruhi’s in the Host Club. She enjoys thrills and adventure which is the exact opposite of Kazukiyo.
Cute cosplay! I had a hard time trying to figure out who she was in the series, but I got it eventually! Thanks to Rue for sending this in!

In the manga, Odille Fosset took Hinaichigo from Jun Sakurada when she revealed a ring that appeared to be from Hinaichigo. Although Jun assures Hinaichigo that she could stay with whomever she wishes, she unconsciously decides to go with Odille. It is later revealed that Odille is the granddaughter of Corinne, Hinaichigo's previous owner.
