It is a combination of iPod and broadcasting. Unlike radio broadcasts that require the listener to tune in at a particular time to hear their favorite program, podcasting allows the listener to decide when and where they want to listen. It is information/education anytime - anywhere.

Much like downloading music, a podcast is an audio file that can be downloaded from the Internet. People all over the world are beginning their own programs and allowing anyone in the world with a computer to listen. Corporations are joining in too. If you can't make it to the PTO meeting, we can record it, and make it available to you.
3) The DMS band has a great tradition. The band director can make the recordings of the competitions and concerts available so students, teachers, parents, and grandparents can hear the band.
4) Foreign language learning & English Language Learning. Saving recorded dialogues to an iPod can provide students a time to listen to the language in the car while they are coming to school in the morning.

There are many possibilities.
