The 2011 Annual Awards Banquet held at the Truman Hotel was a tremendous success! This years banquet was extremely well attended. The Show Me Players opened the banquet with the “Game Show” portion of their presentation. The next group to perform was our Respectful Stars who entertained the audience with a portion of their show! And the final group to perform was the Safety Kids performing the Eye of the Tiger & Safety Kids songs! We also had a powerful speaker, Josh Ecton, one of our Baseline panel members, who courageously conveyed his story. We then recognized all of CDFY’s students of the month from Jefferson City High School, Helias High School and Calvary Lutheran High School. The grand finale of the evening was the recognition of the scholarship finalists and the announcement of the recipients! The competition was certainly intense this year as we had over 100 applicants! We narrowed it down to eleven finalists and 2 of them received CDFY scholarships and 1 received the kindred spirit scholarship! Congratulations again to our winners Andee Gardner, Renee Coziahr & Lucinda Stafford!
