“Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” will honor Bruce Springsteen with a weeklong musical tribute February 27 – March 2 (12:35 a.m. on NBC) to celebrate the launch of his new album, Wrecking Ball, which will be released on Columbia Records March 6. Each night, the show’s featured musical guest will perform selected songs from his extensive catalog.

Tuesday night, Kenny Chesney makes his first appearance on “Late Night” when he performs “I’m on Fire,” from Springsteen’s Born in the U.S.A album, a song which Chesney previously released as part of the bonus tracks from his 2004 album When the Sun Goes Down.

Be sure to tune-in on Tuesday, February 28, for Chesney’s performance. 

Thoughts and Prayers go out to Shawna Thompson of Thompson Square as her father,  George Michael “Mickey” Mcilwain, passed away yesterday.  The duo was in Nashville this week for the Country Radio Seminar but they left to be by her father’s side. 

David Nail is stepping in for the duo on Lady Antebellum’s We Own The Night Tour so that Shawna & Keifer can be with their family during this difficult time.

Justin Moore wrote the title track for a new CD that was just released called This Is NRA Country, Volume 1. The CD is meant to promote the This Is NRA Country Initiative, which features country stars like Justin helping to promote the NRA and what it stands for.

Justin admits, “Growing up in Arkansas, even I didn’t know what all [the NRA] did beyond wave the flag for the Second Amendment. And through this campaign, NRA Country … I learned a lot. They do so many things.” Justin especially enjoys being involved in the charity aspect of the NRA, helping organizations like The Wounded Warrior Project. Ultimately Justin says, “I’m just trying to spread the gospel about what all they do that’s so great but my views on it is that I believe in the Constitution. It’s pretty simple, I mean, I believe that the values that this country’s based on aren’t broken and so I’m happy to be helping spread that message.”

Craig Morgan is gearing up to release his sixth studio album, This Ole Boy, on February 28.  This album serves as his first on his new label home, Black River Entertainment, as well as new music from Craig in nearly three years.  Morgan co-produced the album as well as co-wrote 6 of the 12 songs.

Superstar Carrie Underwood’s new single, “Good Girl,” is available exclusively on iTunes NOW by clicking HERE. The five-time Grammy Award winner debuted her new single last night in Nashville during the annual Country Radio Seminar.

Carrie wrote the track with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley, who co-wrote two of Underwood’s No. 1 hits “Don’t Forget to Remember Me,” and “All-American Girl.” Once again Carrie teamed up with Mark Bright, who produced her two previous albums as well as seven tracks from her debut album Some Hearts.

Since releasing Some Hearts in 2005, Underwood has sold more than 14 million albums with Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride, and 2009’s Play On.  She’s amassed 14 No. 1 singles, six of which she co-wrote, and became the first country artist in history and the only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 No. 1 singles from their first two albums.

MCA Recording Artist David Nail will fill in for Thompson Square this weekend at The Palace of Auburn Hills in Detroit, MI and the Ford Center in Evansville, IN. Shawna Thompson’s father has been quite ill for a few months, and she needs to be by his side at this time.

Nail will join Darius Rucker and headliner Lady Antebellum for these sold out shows.

Chris Young gave a very special autograph on the evening of February 22, 2012, when he signed his name beside a caricature of himself on the wall of The Nashville Palm.  His likeness will be a permanent addition to The Palm’s collection of caricatures, which line the walls of the restaurant.

“Chris is a great addition to our wall since he has participated in several fundraising events at The Palm for Make a Wish Foundation of Middle Tennessee as well as Stars for Stripes ,” said Paige Dixon, sales manager for The Palm. “We’re honored that Chris could stop by in the midst of CRS week and his national tour.  We’re proud that he’ll be a permanent fixture here.”

The caricature tradition originated when Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi opened The Palm Restaurant in 1926.  They had no money to decorate, and offered meals in exchange for cartoon work by artists.  Today, all Palm locations feature a variety of caricatures of celebrities, politicians, athletes, regular customers and people of note, as well as classic cartoons. 

“The Palm is such a mainstay in this city and in the music community,” says Young.  “It’s pretty cool to be part of this Nashville institution!”
