Are you ready for Amazon Prime Day? It’s today! July 15th, 2015 and Amazon offers more and better deals than Black Friday!

According to the schedule of the Lightning deals, they published it’s going to be awesome!

There are lots (!!!) of great deals you just won’t want to miss.
There will be “thousands” of Lightning Deals (limited time offerings), Deals of the Day, and unlimited free two-day shipping

So in order for you to be best prepared for this day and to be able to get the best deals we gathered a list of tips to help you out and we want to share it with you:

Sign up to Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime day is open only for Amazon Prime members, so if you are still not one – the first thing you should do is sign up to Amazon Prime, it’s not too late for that.
You can sign up for the 30-day trial here.

Get on Wait List if you don’t want to miss a Lightning deal.
There is such a huge demand for Amazon’s lightning deals so the chances are that they will be claimed so quickly after going live. If a Lightning deal sells out & goes to 100% claimed, you can still have a chance to get it, so don’t worry! All you have to do is get on the Wait List and you’ll be able to purchase the items you want at the Lightning deal price. But remember that sometimes the wait list is full….People tend to get a Lightning deal right after it goes live, just so they won’t miss it. Only later they might decide that they don’t actually need or want that item. The item then goes to the next person in the Wait list.
Sometimes people also forget they got an item in their cart for quite a while and then the item expires out of their cart and goes to the next person in the Wait list.

Don’t wait too long until you decide if you want to buy a Lightning Deal.
You only have 15 minutes to keep a Lightning Deal in your cart. If you don’t buy it within 15 minutes, whether it’s because you decided that you don’t want it or because you forgot all about it, the item goes to someone who is next in line on the Wait List.

Be ready at midnight.
Prime Day starts at 00 am (midnight) Pacific Time and there will probably be killer deals right when it starts to attract the attention of the buyers (and the media…). If you’ll be prepared and ready to act fast you might catch some great deals.

Take advantage of the competition.
It is indeed Amazon Prime Day but the competitors will try to join the party too.
Walmart announced that they are also going to offer great deals and I would say that many other will also price match.
So don’t just stick to Amazon – Search other retailers too.

Follow Coupick to find deals .
Check out Coupick website , follow us on Coupick Facebook page and on Twitter to look for deals we will be posting.

10 Things to Do with 10 Pairs of Flip Flops

Did you see the awesome Old Navy Sale last week? Just $1 for flip-flops! Who can resist this sale, but what can you do with so many flip-flops? I didn’t really know, and I didn’t have a clue, so I went home with just a few pairs. But here’s what I learned from an amazing Facebook couponers group.

I just had to find out and make this list…

Wear Them at Home

I call flip-flops my summertime slippers. I like to have a pair inside my house that stays inside my house. And with 10 pairs, easy peasy to make sure that these guys never touch the dirty ground outside.

Shower Shoes

From summer camp to the gym locker room, shower shoes are a must if you’re going to keep your feet clean and healthy. Flip-flops are the perfect candidate for the job.

Get Crafty

Fancy up your flip-flops or make a fun activity for birthdays, sleepovers if you do them, or just something new to mix it up on play dates. Puffy paint, stickers – empty out your crafting bin onto these little guys!

Easter Baskets

Do you collect goodies for holidays to come? I certainly do! And flip-flops are a fun addition to any Easter basket and just in time for warmer weather.

Give It Away

Your charity doesn’t have to be old stuff. How exciting would it be for a family or person in need to get a brand new pair of flip flips?

Stocking Stuffer

OK, so it’s similar to the Easter Basket, but for kids in SoCal and Florida with growing feet, Christmas could be a great time to upgrade their flip-flops. And they fit in the stocking so nicely!

Birthday Gifts

Summer birthday coming up? No problem, they’ll love flip-flops!

It’s Art

Throw on some glitter, make them into a wreath, stick them in a photo box for a minimalist look . . . the ideas are endless!

Protect Your Pedi

Oh woe is the lady who ruins a new pedicure and a pair of shoes at the same time. At $1 a pop, I’ve got pedicure flip-flops.

Next Year

If you’ve got kids, you know how fast those little feet grow. Buy up two sizes and chances are your little one will be wearing them next year.

So now I know – I’ll never miss another flip-flop sale again ! Thanks to the ladies of Coupons and Deals in Las Vegas for some of the ideas.

I love onesies, especially in winter when you want to make sure to keep bellies and backs covered. Don’t buy another bodysuit until you read this review!…..

And so as winter winds down and my daughter has grown, we’ve put away our onesies. And then I got thinking that this would make for a great post. Frugal moms, dads and caretakers aren’t always cheap – they’re frugal. Frugal means saving money and making good purchase decisions. And thus, I’d like to share my experience with our winter of onesies. The images might seem a little dark, but I want you to see them with no filter and no edits, no lightening, no nothing – just simple smartphone snaps.

Now let’s get it on: The Battle of the Onesies

Fit

Carter’s fit snug, with a stretchy material keeping the neck covered. The GAP onesie was biggish from the beginning and never seemed to keep her neck and chest areas covered fully. Carters is real to size, but GAP seemed a big too wide and slightly bigger than it should be. I compared Carter’s 18 months and 24 months to the GAP 18-24 months and found both Carter’s necks fit snugly, while GAP’s (especially while worn) tended to slip to the side and the flaps tended to open.

Baby Gap 18-24 Months vs. Carter’s 18 Months

Baby Gap 18-24 Months vs. Carter’s 24 Months

Winner: Carter’s

Materials

While both were made from 100% cotton, after a few washes, the Baby Gap onesie started to feel thin, but stayed soft. On the other hand the Carter’s seemed to get stronger, but wasn’t as soft. However, the Baby Gap onesie seems stretched out and shapeless, while Carter’s maintained its original shape much better. The Baby Gap onesie also look like it’s starting to get pilly.

The material is so thin you can see the dark sheet peeking through the light fabric. Not good!

Winner: Carter’s

Price

What you pay for each one really depends on the sales you find at the moment, so it’s hard to say so let’s look at regular prices. A set of three “favorite” body suits at Baby Gap is priced at $29.99. Carter’s offers a 4-pack of long sleeve body suits at $16 as well as $22 for a 6-pack. There is no doubt that when it comes to price, Carter’s is the clear winner.

Winner: Carter’s

Style

The GAP offers more mature designs and less kid-like stuff, which I like. On the other hand, Carter’s onesies mostly match the season’s collection. However, I did end up with some duds from Carter’s that matched nothing.

Winner: Draw

The Big Winner is . . .

Even though the style of the GAP onesies is more to my taste, the quality and fit problems mean that it’s highly unlikely that I would buy a GAP onesie again. It’s really important to keep baby warm and covered and I think it’s a big fail for GAP here. I also buy clothes to last and have doubts about how well the Gap bodysuits hold up.

I like baby and toddler clothes from both GAP and Carter’s, but when it comes to onesies I’m Carter’s all the way.

A kid’s main job is to grow healthy and strong, including their precious little feet. And so moms and dad have one more expense to manage. But we have a secret to saving and that’s rain boots…..Here are some reasons why rain boots are actually a secret to saving tons of time and money when you save them for rainy days.

Save Money

Most shoes aren’t made for the rain, that’s why there are rain boots. Rain can very quickly ruin or degrade tennis shoes, leather or suede shoes. Make your little one’s shoes last long by keeping them dry.

Invest in a good pair of rubber boots and take care that they don’t dry out and crack. A good pair of boots can fit well for much longer than a pair of shoes, particularly for little ones with wider or thicker feet that push them into new sizes.

Rainy days don’t need to be an excuse to pay for Gymboree classes or Chuckee Cheese. With dry feet, your toddler won’t cry about being out on lightly rainy days since they won’t go home with wrinkled raisin feet crammed in soggy sneakers.

Save Time

Toddlers can slip them on all by themselves and they’re ready to do. Little ones who can’t put on shoes can handle rain boots all alone. And they’re generally happy and proud to show off their rain boot wearing skills.

Toddlers love rain boots, and why wouldn’t they? Rare is the toddler who doesn’t jump at the chance to put them on, thus eliminating the morning battle of shoe-putting-on avoidance. In fact, at least in our house, rain boots are the most in-demand footwear regardless of the weather.

Toddlers can understand that boots go off at the door, so no muddy mess on your floor to clean up.

Final Advice

A good pair of rubber boots for your toddler is a good investment that will repay its cost in saved time and money. And while they’re awesome, rain boots aren’t a substitute for good orthopedic shoes, so save them for rainy days.

By Ilya Haykinson (Flickr: hopscotch) [CC BY-SA 2.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/2.0)], via Wikimedia Commons

Here comes summer and it’s time for a whole new warm weather wardrobe for your toddler. But you don’t have to break the bank getting your little one out of their pants and into shorts that will last them all summer long……

Fit: It’s All About That Waist

Shorts with tightly limited waists will be the first pair to get put in storage mid-summer because they don’t fit. Pay careful attention to the waistband of the shorts, it will determine how long your little one will be able to comfortably wear the shorts.

Avoid:

Jean shorts that have no waist adjustment, straps or flexible back.

Tights-style shorts with an elastic band that doesn’t stretch easily

Shorts that “bubble” out with an elastic on the bottom in the thigh area.

Look For:

Very flexible elastic waistband shorts

Adjustable elastic on the inside of jeans, khaki or stiffer material shorts

Shorts that are loose throughout

If you choose wisely, you’re little darling could be rocking his/her adorable shorts all summer long and maybe even next year.

Safety Tip:

Drawstring shorts are convenient, but be sure to tightly knot the endings so that your toddler cannot remove the string. This string, particularly while your child is sleeping, can be a choking hazard.
